I've been with Armand since 2019.

After he lost to Islam, he came to American Top Team. We started working

together. We've been together, I think, over 10, 11 fights.

It's a pleasure to teach Armand because he's such a knowledgeable guy. He's such

a fast learner.

It's a big fight.

Mauricio is a dangerous fighter. He has a bunch of weapons.

He is a smart guy.

But I believe Armand has...

everything that he needs to be victorious on September 19th.

So today is the first workout in the hotel and we did drilling, grappling

and a little bit striking.

That's all now stretching and chill.

He left his ID at home.

We're waiting for our teammate, bro. We travel as a team. Make a U-turn and come

back.

Someone get Dakota, bro. Get Dakota. Oh, look, look.

Who's coming in hot? You can't make this up, bro. No urgency.

Oh, my gosh. And he has the nerve to go.

To the restroom?

Swore her time.

That's final.

Final.

You want to stay here? You want me to go fight for you or what the hell?

Damn, man.

The coach got to take a shit.

Yeah. Five more minutes.

His first fight.

We missed a fight.

You had a saw for him or what?

Hell yeah.

Where's he at?

He's catching his breath, bro.

He looks white.

He looks white?

Ah, I feel amazing.

The whole team here, the spirit is good.

And it's all business now. We're going to get this working come Saturday.

So right now we're in Burbank, California.

It's pretty much where a majority of Armenians live in California.

I grew up here, so it means a lot to me being able to perform here. It's going

to be amazing. I might need the instructions again.

Instructions? Instructions. We have a specific ritual.

When he's here, we all just get together and hang out, get dinner, and just have

a chill night together with the boys.

We got a little bit of the boys, three of them, but I've known them for a very

long time, and yeah, they're like day ones to me, and anytime I'm back in

town, they're always here supporting me and hanging out with me, and then

obviously they're coming to the fight and always going to cheer me on.

They're like beamed in over here. Oh, yeah.

It's a good way to start the week, the fight week.

I'm savoring each sip. I could finish this in two sips, literally, but I gotta

like slowly sip on it and enjoy it, you know?

Weight cutting is not fun, obviously, but I mean, I don't see myself running

through any issues.

Have a good week. This is great.

When I start the UFC, this is one of the first thing I want to, see myself in the

banner.

Now I'm here.

Ready to be a champion one more time. So excited for this moment.

Damn, you take the headsets from the airplane?

Yes. Oh, my God.

Then I'll have to use mine.

The dope ones.

Walk me through just the recovery process for you and the time that

followed after it. Two days after my injury, after my fight, I'm back to the

gym. I'm starting to make a physiotherapy. I start to lift with just

one arm. This...

give me a lot of motivation, you know, of that. And Saturday night, I want to

be champion one more time.

Let's go.

Let's go.

It's going to be bad.

Yeah,

boy. Yeah, boy.

Let's go.

Josh, how does it feel to get custom shorts? Oh, it feels great, man. You

know? Got my country, got my culture.

You know what I mean? And then my favorite Bible verse and things like

that, so...

Let's go.

Fire, fire, fire.

This

morning,

we have our interviews for Media Day 331 out here in Los Angeles, California.

I went to school for writing. I have a degree in poetry. I wanted to be a

writing teacher.

Ironically, I'm really good at something that scares me. I think it's because it

scares the shit out of me. I try really hard.

Yeah, I had to like force myself to become extroverted.

So I guess I'd be called an ambivert.

Tell me what you think.

Yeah.

These interviews are mostly, they're not about fighting at all. I kind of stray

away from the fight questions since that's predominantly what they're being

asked throughout the entire media week and leading up to it. I ask more

questions that are based on who they are, their personality, their character,

things that they like. I think that's why the content does so well because

it's not just fight questions. Anybody can watch it and be engaged with it. It

doesn't just have to be fight fans.

Hi.

Hello. How are you?

How are you? Good, good.

With Armin, it feels natural. It doesn't feel so much like an interview. And I

think that's what I strive for the most, for Christopher to feel really

comfortable. Within the last two years, what do you think has helped you the

most?

Streaming.

Streaming?

Streaming with you.

Streaming? Yeah, because people come to me and say, oh, you're a streamer,

right? I say, yeah, I'm a streamer. What I can say?

You think you're going to stream yourself?

Or you're just going to be in my streams?

I'm waiting for the big money.

If there are people that make doing my job a million times easier, it's like,

why wouldn't I continue to make content with them? You just feel like you become

family. Do you celebrate Halloween?

No. Should I? Yeah.

It'd be fun.

You could be like Mario, and I could be Luigi or something.

You're not going to want to miss this fight. Tune in. Check it out on

Paramount+.

Of course, when I was growing up, I was watching Lakers games. It's incredible

that I'm fighting in the same arena.

OK,

guys.

OK,

show it, show it.

I'm in first face-off with him. What do you think? Nothing.

He's trying to be angry, but it doesn't matter.

It's going to be nice, you know, to see my opponent right now, see what his

intention, you know.

It's going to be very cool. I want to enjoy all the time.

Why are you laughing, Josh? Can you just be serious for one minute, bro? You

can't be serious for a second. Yes, yes.

Yeah, I like seeing the deep eyes.

try to bring his soul for me.

It's gonna be intense.

It's good, yeah. You like it? No, no, I'm cool, I'm cool.

A lot of motivation.

I'm much more taller than him.

It's nice to have kicks.

Let's try one more time, but that time, not foul.

Nothing, man. Some people just take all this too serious, you know what I mean?

But it's good. I'm having fun.
