It's like a run club. You want to join?

I'm from Vegas, bro. I literally just come down to Cali to run, bro. Just for

run? Yeah.

Nice. How many pounds you lost? Maybe 100 pounds?

Yeah, I lost 100 pounds.

Really? Like 110.

Yeah. Beautiful.

How? As in pink?

Uh, f*** no.

No? Dude, hell no. I'm like against all the peptizing.

Right? Yeah. Just diet and run. That's like the easy way, bro. Like, running is

like... Just run and diet,

right? Yeah.

I mean, how far are you guys running?

We're going to run 10 miles.

Yeah?

Then I'm done.

We got a new teammate here.

Let's go.

It's a beautiful place, Newport. Always good to run here. It's better than in

the gym and boring. So, yeah, it's fun.

He's running so fast.

Today was a pretty light lunch.

We had a moderate quantity of potatoes, roasted potatoes, and then we roasted in

the oven the red snapper, and then we had the gazpacho made with beetroot.

Whatever couple give it to me, I eat.

And always is good.

Performance nutrition obviously has a big scientific component because we need

to make weight. That's a very demanding process, but I try to make the whole

process a little more enjoyable. So instead of relying on that old

bodybuilding approach where you have rice, broccoli, and chicken, we use

different food or even like different toppings in a way that, yes, we drop the

weight, but at the same time, we also enjoy the process.

Do you think you're ever going to fight at welterweight?

Maybe one day.

But first I got to be through.

So we met at the school while we were 14 years old. You know, somehow I

manifested that that girl was going to be my wife.

And we got married when we were 18.

Yeah, me and Tamuna, we've been over 20 years together so far.

It's been a long journey, and I'm really proud of the man he became.

I'm really impressed by his dedication to the sports and to the arts because

he's been doing it since he's a kid.

And it's really impressive to watch from the side.

My motivation always been the family, you know, taking all that

responsibility.

leaving your own country to go there to chase your dreams.

It's different when you are by yourself, but when you have your wife and kids,

it's more pressure, obviously, but more motivation as well. So I can't be more

grateful to my wife and family and where I'm at today and what life.

We are today in sunny Los Angeles beach.

We will be doing my training because it's good vibe, it's good fresh air and

it's sunny so everything what I need to be good.

I am excited to fight here in LA.

I very like vibe, I very like this place so I am very happy that I can fight

in Los Angeles.

My next opponent is Alonzo Manifield.

He is a very dangerous striker. I must be careful all the time in the fight.

I know that he is a very experienced fighter.

But I am a young wolf and I am ready for it. I

finish

people so quickly because I like to give you a good emotion and a lot of emotion

with short distance.

It will be fireworks on Saturday.

That's a long camp, feel better than ever with my mind, with my body, with my

soul.

And like my coach say, we have a mission, you know, and that's what I

have in my head. I have a mission.

Saturday is time to accomplish.

Welcome to Los Angeles, California.

My first time in U.S., I come to this city.

Never fight here, but...

I'm very excited to fight.

That's what I want to do. I want to fight with the best fighters of the

world. Now I have this opportunity, and let's go.

After a horrible outcome last time in Vegas, I think now is the time that we

actually rewrite the story in the right way.

What do you think, Pantoja?

It's nice, huh?

Concrete jungle.

When you arrive in the city, the place you're fighting, it's less training, you

know? Of course, I have a lot of stuff to do, but I can enjoy.

I have my coach just for me.

I like that, too. I can train in, like, a private class all the time.

It's time to... to the lights.

I've been training very hard in Australia, now I'm here in Los Angeles

and I'm very happy, man. The expectation is always to give my best.

It doesn't matter who I'm going to fight, whether it's against Arma or

against a debutant tomorrow.

I know why I'm climbing the octagon, I know why I'm here, I know the reason for

everything in my life and that brings me a lot of peace and that's why I always

say, I'm 100% focused and committed to giving my best.

Rufy, he's savage.

When he's inside of the cage, he tries to knock everyone out. This is the

biggest opportunity on his career, and I know that 100%, if he knocks Arman out,

he deserves it, and I think he will fight for the title.

Today is the funnest day of the week. These guys love it, especially Josh.

He enjoys it. He just waits all week for this cardio conditioning day.

Right, Josh?

Nah, hell no.

Yeah, who invited him?

Go home.

Ready? Go.

Today was hill day, so we had different variations of sprints up the hill. We

try to make, you know, sprinting fun. It's hard to do it, but Coach Frank does

a really good job, and all our team's here pushing us and moving us to be

better. Three, two, one.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to be with Josh and not just...

With Josh on the same card to be on his main event, defending his belt is a

blessing. We started together in the local scenes.

We're working our way up through the UFC and to be in the same camp together,

we're pushing each other, we're seeing each other, and now he's defending his

belt against one of the legends of the game. It's really just a dream come

true.

My why is, you know, my people, people of Myanmar, the prayer of my family, my

mom. If I don't put in this work...

I think I'm just letting down people that support me and love me. All right,

everybody. And still on three. One, two, three. And still.

Let's go. Let's go, champ.

Welcome to the UFC.
