If someone would have told me what this past year was going to be like for me
before it all happened, I never would have believed them.
You know, really, I'm just a quiet, small-town girl living a real settled,
peaceful, simple, and what used to be a slow life.
I never modeled before. I never really even left the state of North Carolina.
All this has happened to me so fast.
Whatever I'm doing right, I think it's because I used to collect four-leaf
clover. A whole book, pressed together.
You know, when people find out I'm from North Carolina, they expect me to talk
like this.
Well, heavens to Betsy, it just ain't true.
Greensboro, Greensboro, Greensboro. I was born in Greensboro, North Carolina.
I was raised in Greensboro, and I'm going to stay in Greensboro.
It's my home, and I love it here.
I can just be me.
over night you're standing
let's see you standing
I love my mom.
She's my idol as a woman, you know?
Mothers always cook better than their children, which means, I guess, the
future doesn't look real tasty.
She really likes cooking, and so do I.
For her, it's easy.
For me, it's hard.
You know what I hope?
What? I hope, like, the guy that I married doesn't want his dinner, like,
real quick.
Why? Because I'm slow at everything here.
With experience, you will speed up. I think I'm going to hire a maid or
something.
I don't know how she remembers it all, but it's in her head.
Upside down meatloaf, along with hundreds of other recipes.
Nothing written down.
Impossible.
My dad says, and I agree, the food tastes better when I'm not involved.
See him hit me?
That's father abuse.
Get that on film.
Food.
I'm lucky.
Can we eat now?
I'm really lucky. I love my family. My mother and father and my brother, who's
now in the Air Force.
It's been such a great life. You know, I'd never trade it with anyone.
Family is important.
The people who are always there when you need them.
The people who've been through everything with you.
I wish the good times would move slower.
Sometimes I think I haven't changed at all.
Just grown bigger.
I still feel and act like a kid.
Is that good or bad?
Yeah, I'm still a kid
My little miss.
And do that.
You should see my little sister.
She really knows how to rock.
She knows how to...
I first started noticing boys when I was about four years old and I was in
nursery school.
There was like this really cute little kid and he had like red hair that stuck
straight up on his head and I thought he was just great. So anyway, I don't think
he liked me as much as I liked him because we were outside in a playground
and we were up on a sliding board and he pushed me off the side of it, right
down, smack on my chin.
It was like right here.
i have 13 stitches there from that day so anyway i just
wanted to say that people think that playmates are perfect and we're really
not i mean see
When people meet me after seeing me in the magazine, it's interesting to watch
because they think I'm something I'm not.
They think I'm uncatchable, unreal.
I thought the same thing. I thought these girls were walking goddesses.
So these people are scared to talk to me because they think I'm going to snap
back at them or say, move along, little boy, or something.
And it's so funny to watch that because I love talking to them. They make me
feel good, and I wish they'd understand that I'm real, too.
The one thing that makes me the happiest is for someone to tell me that they love
me. It's that simple, and it just warms me all over.
I'm very romantic.
I feel things in my heart. I love to be cuddled.
I could probably be cuddled all day and forget my work. I probably could.
I think I'll be one of those people who takes off a day of work just to stay
home with her husband.
I got my real estate license because I love houses. I love being at home.
It's the place where you can really get away from everything and be yourself.
Wow.
Thank you.
I love the city too.
It's scary, but that's why I love it.
I've been in concessions. Stand on one leg and be me. American action.
On lemonade high.
Old and cold and gold and gold.
We divide and then collide.
We foolin' around, but that's okay In the Black Light Trap In the Black
Light Trap
The animals on the air, an implacable subject.
The vultures in our pieces there, raging in excitement.
Dying to see and depart.
We will be seen, quite dumb soon.
We make our mistakes in the Black Black Trap.
You're a chemical, a funny man, a belly bluff, a military, a muddy moon, a belly
party, a bubbly, you're a silly shag. You're a chemical, a funny man, a belly
bluff, a military, a muddy moon, a belly party, a bubbly, you're a silly shag.
If all this is a dream, that's okay, because it's a really great dream.
so soft
I still don't think all this happened.
Pinch me.
