hi everyone my name is siren in today's
video we will be creating moldings using
calendar
before we begin I will be appreciated if
you could take a moment to subscribe to
my channel if you find this video
helpful or enjoyable please consider
hitting the like button I also value
your suggestions for future videos so
please comment below if you have any
ideas or topics you would like me to
cover so let's get into this
first thing we need is a reference image
so go to pinterest.com or anywhere you
can find reference images
and search for molding and you will find
thousands of them
after finding a right surface image drag
and drop it into the blender
the next step is selecting the image and
hitting the alt R and ALT G to set the
rotational location of the image to zero
go to top view anything your image you
have multiple moldings just select one
and zoom in so you can see it better
then press shift a to create a plane
go to Warfare mode
and make it smaller
then move it to bottom corner of the
molding
after that
we go edit mode and remove one of the
vertices on the top
so now it depends on the molding you
want to create and for that you need to
put verses on the corner or any point
that you think you need to move like
this by hitting G and use E for extrude
for now forget about the curvy shape and
just try to create a basic shape we will
add them later
if you want vertices to be in the same
location as the other one you can use a
snapped
then use f to connect two vertices
now it's time to add bevels anywhere you
need to do that we can add the vertices
between two of them by Ctrl R and then
move it in or out depending on the shape
of the molding
after that we can use Ctrl shift B to
create devil and we can control the
number of the segments by scroll up or
down
the number of the segment depends on how
smooth you want it to be
for a bigger cap we need more segments
if you don't like the shape of your
curve or you want to change the location
of the vertices for a better angle for
your pedal
you can right unique to cancel that
operation
now go to object mode and hide the
reference image
shift a to create another plane This
Plane will be used as the top of the
walls
go to edit mode and delete only fish
after that F3 and search for master
curves I'm going to convert both of the
planes to Curves
then select plane that you created for
walls
and go to properties object data
geometry
object
play
to find it easier you can rename it
now you can go to Salt view to see how
it looks
if you want to make it this smaller or
bigger you just change the main molding
size
or if your modding looks weird speak out
of rotation with alt plus r we set the
rotation and use Ctrl a to apply
rotation and SK
at least if you are done about the size
and rotation you can convert it to mesh
so you can use 3D smooth for carry shape
of the molding
just remember after using 3D smooth go
to properties object data normals and
turn on auto smooth
