The Three Musketeers

[Previously]

Protect Yong Gol Dae's head...

...before it's removed and sent back.

It's from Heo Seung Po.

Did you lose a letter?

You're not loved?

How dare you.

Someone interrupted...

...when I was about to kill Yong Gol Dae.

I said it's an order.

How dare you not follow my order?

King's orders comes first before yours.

Draw your sword.

Stop!

What are you doing right now?

Step aside.

It's a man's bet.

It's dangerous.

Step aside.

I said stop it!

What are you two doing?

Protect the Prince.

Please stop it.

You're bleeding.

Your Highness.

Take him.

[Episode 6: Donwonsu Kim Ja Jum]

We should tell the teacher.

Where is he?

He's still in the palace.

Go ahead and leave.

I'll do it.

But...

You can leave.

Why would you bet like that?

You're being jealous.

Jealousy.

You're jealous of Park Dal Hyang.

So you started a fight with him.

- Jealousy? - Right.

Me?

Yes.

That's called jealousy.

I knew it.

I thought you were too calm.

How can a man be like that?

But look at you now.

You didn't express...

...and pretended to be fine.

Laugh?

It's not embarrassing.

It's natural.

Since you know how you feel now...

...all you have to do is love your wife.

If you don't know how...

...you can always ask me.

Park Dal Hyang enlightened you.

That's was my goal. To make you jealous through him.

It worked.

Your Highness.

The Princess is here.

Tell her to leave.

I'll see her later.

You didn't hear me say leave?

I can't do that.

I'm counting.

Counting how many times you ignore me.

You don't have to worry.

Congratulations by the way.

What do you mean?

Your husband finally...

Stop that nonsense.

Will you stop joking around?

Stop?

Yes, stop.

Stop what?

Nothing.

I'll do it, so you can leave.

That's a good idea.

It's the right time, his heart is blooming...

I said stop!

Yes, your Highness.

Then...

What were you two talking about?

I don't have time.

Just do it fast.

Our country has no money...

...and the military is still recovering.

We can't have another war!

What are they thinking?

I think the King is changing his mind.

If we continue...

...he may change his order.

But what if Yong Gol Dae dies first?

I wonder where he is.

Teacher.

What brings you here?

I need to talk to you.

About what?

It'll be short.

Why so secretive?

Did you make trouble again?

Yes.

What?

Again?

We didn't have time to check with you before we acted.

It's not here.

What's not here?

A stick to hit you with!

You guys are crazy!

Finally insane!

Teacher, please...

I taught you better than this...

Stop please.

People are watching.

So the general is in palace?

Yes, in the Prince's library.

Good job.

I told you to listen to me.

Look at you now.

You're just jealous.

The King's order is just an excuse.

You're just mad because...

...I have your girl.

Just like a boy who can't tell what's going on around him.

What are you doing?

Protect the Prince.

Please stop it.

You're bleeding.

What are you looking at?

What?

You pity me now?

That's funny.

You should be beheaded.

But you're safe here in this palace.

And I'm the one held captive.

What a funny world.

Isn't it?

Where's Park Dal Hyang?

You don't need to know.

Did you lock him up?

He's too rude.

Don't worry about it.

Why did you two fight?

It doesn't concern you.

Who's that woman?

The woman who took the letter.

Who is she?

Do you have a woman?

No.

You can tell me.

It's my duty not to be jealous.

If I did, I wouldn't need to hide it.

So why would I?

Are you okay?

You just said you're not jealous.

But your actions say differently.

It's not like that...

Then... who is that woman?

I have a question too.

How well did you treat him during that month in Ganwondo...

...that he hasn't forgotten you?

You saw it.

He was rude to me.

I didn't do anything special.

Then...

...you must be really attractive to men?

I guess so.

Why do you laugh?

Do you think I'm not attractive at all?

I'm not sure what's attractive about you...

...but I'm sure I've never seen it.

Because you don't even look.

Is that so?

Then you'll show me if I ask?

I'd like to see it.

I want to see what it is about you.

Show me now.

What attracts men.

Don't change the subject.

I asked who the woman was.

You're talking about something else.

You've become stronger.

Now you don't fall for it.

Who is she?

I can't answer that.

Please.

It's better that you don't know.

I mean it.

Your Highness.

Heo Seung Po is here.

I said stop it.

- What is wrong... - I just met the teacher.

He's going to see the King.

I thought you'd need to support him.

Wait there.

Yong Gol Dae is still on the run?

Then what should we...

What should we do with Park Dal Hyang?

What?

Tell me what you think?

What should I do with him to make you comfortable?

I want...

...you to keep him away from us.

I don't want you two get involved.

Park Dal Hyang...

...I want him to do what he wants to do.

I'm sorry.

Something came up.

What happened to them?

He was going to tell people about you.

So I had to capture him.

I've fought with him a few times.

So I thought he was your man.

I'm still wondering if I should make him my man or not.

He's too good to just throw away.

His fighting skill is not bad.

But it's not outstanding.

Right...

He was crying before.

Just like a girl.

He must be upset about something.

General...

...help me please.

With what?

I have to beat him to tame him.

But I'm hurt and I can't fight well now.

And you know his weaknesses from fighting him before.

Let's continue with our bet.

Right here.

Draw your sword.

What?

No! You're hurt.

You guys bet too. Who do you think will win?

I shouldn't have said it.

His temper has returned.

You said what again?

I can't just let this pass.

How much?

10? 20?

You better bet on me.

Well...

I'm betting on my Park Dal Hyang.

We can't bet on the same person.

So you bet on the Prince even though you'll lose.

Don't worry.

I'll let you win.

What are you doing? Draw your sword!

If you don't attack by the count of 3, I'll attack first.

One.

Two.

Three.

His personality is unyielding...

...so his sword is clean and fast.

But, he's slow with tricks.

In the beginning...

...pretend to be losing.

When you attack him later...

...he'll be shaken.

He'll be confused by this trick...

...then you can end him when he's confused.

Your left shoulder is hurt...

...so attack with your right.

Then his right side will be open as he blocks your sword.

You attack right there.

And you end the game with *"Manghoeunrimse" skill.

[*Manghoeunrimse - Fencing skill referred to as Hidden Tiger]

I won.

You lost the bet.

Now, go back home as promised.

You're relieved of your duties.

You're no longer a military officer.

So you have no obligation to follow the King's order.

You can't threaten me with that anymore...

...or talk about what happened today.

You should've thought about that...

...when you accepted the bet.

With your skill, even if you won the bet...

...the General would've killed you.

Be thankful that you're alive.

Do you have anything to say?

No.

Then...

...leave the palace quietly.

Right now.

Something is weird.

You aren't this good.

There must be a trick.

Are you really going to dismiss him?

Is it okay to release him like that?

As you know, he has a straight personality.

He won't make the woman he loves a widow.

Let's continue our talk.

It's been delayed.

Oh my.

Oh!

I thought you weren't coming!

Why are you so late?

Don't tell me you're going somewhere again.

I'm so tired.

Give me your hand.

What?

My hand?

Here.

What is this?

It's your share of the earnings. I need to pay you for your service.

You're going to pay me everyday?

I thought I'd get it at the end of a year...

You go back to Heo Seung Po.

What?

Why?

I've learned my place.

I don't deserve a servant.

As soon as I arrived in Hanyang...

...I met the prince and the officers.

They said I could be their friend, but I forgot my position.

This horse, he suits me best.

Sir.

I'm going back home.

So you can go back to your master.

It was good to be with you.

Bye now.

Sir!

Sir!

If you agree...

...I'll go persuade my father.

Minister Choi will help me.

I'll ensure your envoy team's safety.

But I need some time.

It may take days.

Will you trust me and wait for me?

Sir.

What are you doing here?

Actually...

The Princess...

The Princess?

She'd like to know where Park Dal Hyang went...

I tried to be careful not to get caught...

I'm sorry.

He's already been released and has left the palace.

No need to worry.

- Okay. - You can go now.

General.

General.

Are you in there?

What's going on?

What's going on?

Where have you been?

Court Lady Kim.

Eh?

Catch her.

She changed the lock.

There's a spy.

You must find the spy first.

Did you find it?

Here.

This is it. I can't continue...

You have nothing else to do.

But...

I think I was caught.

Caught?

The officer asked me what's going on...

...and I made up an excuse but I think...

That can't happen.

Then...

Wake up!

They didn't take him...

...they locked him in.

They didn't talk to him, or release him.

This is a warning.

They're telling us that they won't let us control him.

Who?

[Kim Ja Jum: leader of the rebellion]

Your Majesty.

Your servant, Kim Ja Jum, is here to greet you.

I just found out what's going on today.

You must be very worried, Your Majesty.

How can you...

...come here without any notice?

I'm sorry I didn't follow the procedures.

But I knew this would happen.

So I was preparing for this situation...

...by on gathering information from my spies.

But...

...recently...

...I heard something hard to believe.

Something hard to believe?

That...

...there's someone in this palace...

...cooperating with Yong Gol Dae...

...and promising their loyalty to Later Jin.

What did you just say?

There are people who promised loyalty to the enemy?

It's hard to believe...

...but it's true.

Actually, I contacted the General before he got here...

...and had a meeting with them...

...to figure out...

...which side to betray.

Who are they?

That's...

I'm sorry but I lost them.

I lost them that night...

...during a fight.

So I don't know who they are.

Then what are you trying to say here?

You shouldn't say things that aren't substantiated.

What you're saying is very dangerous.

It's because it's at this point...

...that I've come all the way here.

I lack hard evidence...

...but I have circumstantial evidence.

I have witness statements...

...about what happened in the city while ago.

What's wrong with him?

He must gone crazy.

He wants to get caught together.

I couldn't identify them.

But this shows there has been a secret meeting.

There also was a fight...

...and someone was hurt.

Your Majesty.

I'm loyal to you...

...and have been trying to identify them.

That's why I came all the way here.

As this situation gets worse...

...I realize...

...there must be people who are helping Yong Gol Dae ...

...behind your back...

...since we can't find him anywhere.

Will you be responsible for what you're saying?

What evidence do you have?

Everyone needs to cooperate together.

What you said could weaken our cooperation!

I'm not the one who's weakening it but them!

So.

If anyone denies my witness statements...

...we should be suspicious of them first.

Your Majesty!

To find Yong Gol Dae...

...you must first look close to home and find the betrayers.

They're the true enemy of Joseon.

They're worse than the enemy...

...and Yong Gol Dae...

...is protected by them.

So, and this is just my guess...

...but they may be in higher position.

What do you mean higher position?

Literally speaking.

Maybe...

...he's here inside.

Your Majesty.

We can't let this just go.

We should investigate.

Did you steal the letter too?

Why would you do that?

I was afraid that...

...the woman would hurt her.

Hyang Sun?

Mi Ryung.

Are you the Princess?

What's the matter?

Nothing.

I just couldn't believe I met her.

It's my honor to see you.

She looked familiar.

I've seen her somewhere for sure.

Excuse me...

I know her. Let her go.

Do you know me by any chance?

Yes, I do.

You are Court Lady Kim who served the Queen.

You remember me right?

You have a good memory.

She was Mi Ryung.

Who is Mi Ryung?

She's the daughter of Minister Yoon.

She was selected to be the wife of the Prince.

I was there when she was greeting...

...the Queen.

How...

How are you alive?

How does it feel to serve the one...

...who took my position?

Is she any better than me?

Is the Prince...

...good with her?

He forgot about me.

And has fun in the palace.

They trampled on my life...

...and live in that luxury.

Why didn't you say something instead of spying?

She said...

...she wouldn't come back if I did a favor.

The Prince...

...loved her a lot.

If he finds out that she's alive...

...the Princess will be lonely.

I was worried.

But I think I was wrong all along...

Hello?

Hello?

I met them at the Po bok.

The day of Bang Bang Eui ceremony?

Oh that gorgeous woman?

- Do you remember? - Of course.

What kind of man could forget that beauty?

Have you seen her since?

Not really.

But she placed an order.

She bought a lot.

To be delivered where?

To Seryungguan.

I was going to send them now...

Oh, see?

I have a small problem.

I'll solve it quickly.

Please be patient.

Who are you?

Be polite, he's the Prince!

He's waiting for you.

Wow.

This is really like a palace.

This sure is a palace.

I heard he has many houses like this.

How much money does he have?

Wow, look at this...

Your Highness!

What an honor!

You've come to all the way here to my humble house.

Did you really say humble?

If it's humble, my house would be a beggar's house.

Long time no see, the first son of General Heo.

To become like your father...

...you should stop gambling.

Now you're serving the Prince.

You can't do that.

Stay outside.

How's your wound?

As you can see, I can walk around.

Those ignorant people...

...didn't think the Prince would show up like that.

I promise...

...they didn't know it was you.

No one recognized you.

Who cares?

That's not that important.

Right.

That's not it.

The important thing is that...

...you and I met there.

That means a lot.

Why?

That was when we realized...

...each other's true intentions.

Are you here to find this?

Here.

I can give it back.

It's nothing.

That's your area.

I have no use for that.

And what if I were to tell others?

That's even more useless.

You know better.

I want to have a good relationship with Yong Gol Dae.

What's your point.

If bribing me isn't your goal...

...why make me come here?

Are you trying to stop the war?

Then you're wasting your energy.

The war will definitely happen.

If you try hard...

...you could delay it a bit.

Maybe a year at max.

But the war will happen.

When it's meant to be, it will happen.

That's how history repeats itself.

So I wouldn't...

...waste my energy trying to stop it.

I just need to find out...

...how I survive in all this.

Do you know what I regret the most...

...among things I've done in my life?

It's that...

...I made your father a King.

You must really think I'm a joke.

How dare you keep breathing after saying that to me.

It's true.

That's true.

I persuaded your father and made him king.

You probably remember too even though you were young.

It's all we did.

It was a quick and successful rebellion.

But...

...do you know what I'm thinking right now?

The previous king was better!

Then where do we go from here?

We removed the troubled king...

...but the next one's worse.

And the Crown Prince has no potential.

So there's no hope for us.

Ministers?

They're even worse.

What's so important about politics and reasons?

Their view is so narrow.

Ming dynasty?

It's a dead country now.

So that's why...

...I tried to meet Yong Gol Dae.

The only thing I could look towards was Later Jin.

That's what happened.

Do you understand now?

I think you do too.

I was that desperate to work with the enemy!

But...

...after that night...

...I found some hope.

Maybe there's a person...

...with the same goal as me in the palace.

We can't avoid the war, Your Majesty.

And if it happens, we'll lose.

No.

We will have to lose...

...to open the world.

The new world will need a new leader.

And Later Jin will help.

Your Majesty, you and I...

...can be the leader of the next world.

The reason I'm giving that key to you is...

...that we three...

...are in the same boat.

What...

What are you talking about?

Your Majesty...

I've replaced the King before.

Couldn't I do it again?

This would be easier.

I have Later Jin supporting me.

And you are a legit heir.

The timing is just early.

That's what Later Jin wants it too.

I think...

...you're the right king for the new world.

Your Majesty... Your Highness...

I wish to share the future with you.

You and I...

...even though not intentionally...

...showed each other's cards.

You have a choice.

Either we go together, one someone dies.

You or me.

Hello.

Follow me.

Put it here.

Okay.

What is this?

What is this?

So we meet again.

How did you find this place?

Come in.

I guess we're destined.

You came at the right time.

I was going to visit you.

That's how he is.

He's been a betrayer all along.

Father always told me to watch out for him.

He's not just a mere betrayer.

He's more dangerous than we thought.

Very dangerous.

I'll give you until tonight.

If you abandon me...

...I have to survive so...

...I have to tell the King about Yong Gol Dae.

Then the person who promised loyalty to Later Jin...

...will be you, not me.

Your wound on your arm will be the evidence.

But, Your Majesty...

...I'd like to be your loyal servant.

I wish you to be wise.

I'll be waiting.

It's better than he'd tell about it everyone.

Yes, cooperate with him first.

And think about him later.

No.

I could never work with him.

I'm sure of it after talking to him.

This should be successful without Kim Ja Jum.

And after that, we must punish him.

He's way too dangerous.

Then what should we do?

He's only giving you till tonight.

That's the problem.

We don't have a solution yet.

Wait.

Isn't that Park Dal Hyang's horse?

Hey! Park Dal Hyang!

What brings you here? How'd you find us?

I heard you're gathering here.

I was almost sad that you left without saying good bye.

You sent the servant back.

I thought you went back.

You're still here?

I still have a mission to finish.

I figured it out.

Did you find her?

Yes, I was going to capture her.

But the situation wasn't good.

She'd like to meet you.

He must be anxious by now.

Tell him to come find me if he doesn't want to be...

...played by Kim Ja Jum.

How can I trust you?

I don't work for anyone...

...either Yong Gol Dae nor Kim Ja Jum.

And I don't care what happens to Joseon.

But...

...Kim Ja Jum still doesn't know that.

He thought I was his and showed his weaknesses.

If he wants to know it...

...he needs to come alone.

We owe each other.

After we pay that...

...I'll help him.

I thought about not telling you, but it was my original mission.

But...

...you shouldn't go.

It's too dangerous.

You're worried about me?

You were fighting against me.

You're embarrassed too right?

Anyways.

You're still the prince of this country.

I can't trust that...

...but I'd trust if you're worried that the Princess will become a widow.

It'll be just you and me.

No need to tell anyone.

It's been a secret between you and me all along.

Let's go.

Are you really going to see her?

She's too dangerous.

Then why did you tell me?

Because you want to solve it too.

You probably told the Princess that you'll solve this.

So did I.

So you and I need to go and solve it.

Men should keep the promise.

Right?

Right.

You lead the way.

Please go alone.

You stay here with me.

She could harm you.

I should go with you.

Stay here.

Do not come down there.

That's an order.

It's been a while.

Remember that feeling...

...of spreading poison.

And tell the Prince.

Since he's next.

I don't know what I'm going to do.

I'll know once I see her.

It'd be either way.

I'll kill her again...

...or run away with her for love.

Hey!

Stop.

Get out.

Does it hurt?

Does it hurt a lot?

I didn't know...

...you'd be alive.

What's your relationship with her?

Who's Mi Ryung?

That's...

Yong Gol Dae isn't a card you can easily throw away.

Don't tell the King about what I said.

You're lying to me!

Did the Prince really participate in the conspiracy?

He's hurt badly outside the palace.

Why is he here?

Is he dead?
