[The Early Spring]

[Adapted from The Early Spring on jjwxc.net, Author: Gu Niang Bie Ku]

I've got three things to report.

First,

next week's denim promotion

is canceled.

The good news is I've already collected their deposits.

Second,

about the overdue payment you've been asking me to chase,

they're asking for another two months.

He's making excuses about being broke,

saying

he might have to pull his kid out of kindergarten.

Last thing,

the sponsor for the ice sculpture event is cutting the budget.

They said that's all they can offer.

Should we still do it?

I know we need money to expand into new markets.

Let's do it.

Something is better than nothing.

Boss,

keep your chin up.

I don't have any good news,

but I was the first one to join this company.

As long as this company exists,

I'm not leaving.

Even if I don't get paid.

Just don't stress yourself out.

Xing,

how did it go

with the bank?

Yes, I want to take out a loan.

Okay.

I'll bring the property deed over.

Okay. Thanks.

Are you really selling it?

Take it over.

[Episode 24] [Shang Zhitao, Welcome Back to Beijing]

Mr. Li,

is your company looking

to expand?

Mr. Guan,

I'd like to recommend a great business partner.

Someone will contact you to discuss the details.

I gave them your number.

Thank you so much, Mr. Luan.

You helped us out a lot

when we needed it most.

I'll be sure to tell Boss.

No.

Don't tell her.

Whether it works or not

depends on Ms. Shang's negotiation skills.

I'm just making the introduction.

I can't decide the outcome.

One more thing.

Send me your office address.

I bought two down jackets to send over.

Pass them to her.

Sure.

Thank you, Mr. Luan.

[Beijing to Harbin Flight Booking Page]

[Complete Your Booking: Beijing to Harbin]

Shang Zhitao.

What's wrong?

I mortgaged my apartment.

I'm just

feeling a little down.

Why did you mortgage your apartment?

My company can barely stay afloat.

Everything costs money.

I'm still waiting to collect 100,000 yuan.

If you need it,

I can help you out.

Luan Nian, you're trying to help,

but

I don't need it.

I've figured something out.

I sold

the car

and mortgaged the house.

I still have some savings.

You know me.

I want to make it on my own.

Why are you here?

I'm here to apply.

For what?

Driver, assistant,

or boyfriend.

I'm fine with any of them.

You're not suitable.

How am I not?

In every way.

Ms. Shang,

give me a chance.

Mr. Luan,

this is a startup.

We're too small

for someone like you.

I don't charge much.

Even if we're hiring,

we need someone local

who can stay long-term.

If you're okay with it,

I can move here.

That's not necessary.

My next step

is expanding into digital advertising.

It's a completely new business.

The execution and expertise required

aren't your strengths.

Do you still think you're the right fit, Mr. Luan?

If you hire someone local,

training and integrating them

will take at least six months.

If you trust my abilities,

I'll work for free for the first six months.

Mr. Luan,

does Lime know what you're doing?

Doesn't matter.

Be my driver then.

Coming.
