My Lady,

the groom bears lotus marks.

That means

he is your destined tribulation.

A mere mortal,

how could he bring any tribulation?

Why not just kill him?

The divine sign shows only a lotus.

Nothing else is known.

I can't be sure

if he's my tribulation

or the one to help me.

I can't just kill him.

Besides,

what can

a mere mortal do?

I'll keep him around for now.

Come closer.

Are you afraid I'll eat you?

Your Majesty, your blessings span a thousand miles.

I, Ji Jiu, am but a mortal.

I dare not overstep.

Your accent

doesn't sound local.

Where are you from?

I fell in the mountains half a month ago.

When I woke, I'd lost all memory.

Then

the villagers of Xiyuan

offered me to you.

A fall?

And you lost

of my past life.

I dare not lie to you,

and I wouldn't want to.

It's an honor to meet you.

Truly...

Truly what?

Truly, you are breathtakingly beautiful,

outshining the very heavens and earth.

Ji Jiu,

you're an honest soul,

and I appreciate that.

From now on,

you'll stay here

as my Divine Servant.

You may go.

Jade Maiden will take care of you.

Yes,

thank you, Your Majesty.

Quite the sweet talker.

Today,

I'll just take your heart.

Well...

My Lady.

I...

It's me.

I have something to tell you.

My Lady.

Don't reject me so quickly.

Please hear me out

before you answer.

I've actually liked you

for many years.

You may not know,

whenever those mortals

bring you a groom,

I feel both jealous and hateful.

Mere mortals,

who live less than a century,

subject to aging and death,

are unworthy to be

your groom.

Today they sent another

groom who lacks masculinity.

I really can't stand it anymore.

Yuanjun,

although you are the Mountain Deity,

deep inside,

you're still a little girl, aren't you?

I, Jin Tong,

am willing to shield you from the wind and rain,

to solve your problems,

I'll be here

to keep you company.

You...

Why are you in Yuanjun's bed?

I see.

You cunning fox spirit,

daring to scheme

and seduce Yuanjun.

I'm Yuanjun's groom.

It's only natural I'm here.

As for you,

as a divine envoy,

why sneak into my chamber?

Who's the real schemer here?

What are you doing?

This mortal was disrespectful.

I was just teaching him a lesson.

Is that true?

Ji Jiu had no ulterior motives.

I'm your consort,

and your most devoted follower.

I'm here to offer myself to you.

Who asked for it?

Golden Boy,

many admire me.

What makes you

any different?

My devotion to you

is the most sincere.

Let me test that.

This is the Ten Directions Lantern Room.

The candles here cannot be blown out

or extinguished by water.

Whenever someone believes in me

or admires me,

their devotion

ignites one of these candles.

Your Majesty, your power is boundless,

naturally, you are revered by all.

Let me see

how devoted you truly are.

Liar.

Though it doesn't light up now,

someday,

I'll prove my devotion to you.
