The Bailey Bowl is just a fun way for us to team build.

The Bailey Bowl was very different in Atlanta

than the one that I'm putting together

here in Turks and Caicos.

Welcome, you guys, to the first annual Bailey Bowl.

The first game is called Diamonds on Ice.

Seven diamond rings are frozen inside

seven large balls of ice.

Lick the balls to get the diamond.

- That's kind of common in Beverly Hills.

- How many licks does it take? [laughter]

- The winner will receive a four-night stay in a suite

at a private resort. - Yes!

- This is my second Bailey Bowl Olympics,

and I thought I would up the ante

a little bit with the prizes.

So I got together with Michael,

and we came up with an amazing three-night stay at the hotel.

- So wait, does the whole team win

or one person on the team win?

- It's individual.

and I have fallen in love,

and I know she's in love, and she inspires me,

and it's her boyfriend's birthday coming up,

My takeaway is that you're so sweet

- Like, I never had sisters, so I always wanted a sister.

- And then when you lose your parents it's even hard--

- 'Cause I've also lost both my parents,

so it's like what you have left is so important to you.

Like, you really want to hold on, you know?

- I just have my daughter.

And my sister,

but she doesn't like to come to the city.

- [laughs] Ramona. Ramona was, "I have my sister,

but she doesn't like to come to the city."

- I don't want to go back to where I grew up.

- Where did you grow up?

- Upstate New York. Where I grew up was terrible,

and my sister lives in the same home

I grew up in where I saw a lot of crap going on.

So why would I want to go back there

and live in that same bedroom where I was,

like, trembling in my bed? No. I'm not going back there.

- I'm getting a sense-- was there physical abuse?

- I was literally four or five years old,

and I saw my mother's bloody face

'cause my father was beating her up, and she says,

"Please call the police. Please call."

And I go, "But Mommy, I don't know how to use the phone."

I remember that at four or five.

And there's other things I don't want to go into.

But one of the reasons why I was very independent in life

is 'cause I remember having this conversation

at 12 or 13 years old.

"Mommy, why are you with Daddy?"

And she goes, "I have no choice.

I have four kids." - Oh, no.

- And there was no domestic abuse centers then.

SAFE Centers. There was no SAFE Center.

No. It was bad. - You know, I--

- Just really bad. You have no idea.

- I had no idea.

- My brother who died?

He was an alcoholic, and my middle sister?

She has a bit of a drinking problem.

My therapist said the only thing that saved me

was I was the eldest,

so my mother gave me a lot of responsibility.

I was like the second mother, and I read books.

I put myself into books.

I would read eight books a night till, like,

4:00 in the morning, to just escape.

I'm numb to things. I don't always pay attention.

- What I was gonna say. - I zone out.

On TV, they go, "Don't you notice the cameras?"

I don't notice the cameras. Like, when I grew up,

I didn't notice my father was screaming and yelling

and beating up my mother. I blocked it out.

So when we're being filmed,

I don't even know there's a camera on me.

- This is something I had no idea about.

It explains a lot.

I feel like you also don't like to show

a vulnerable side of yourself. - Yes.

I feel I'll be weak.

- I think that Ramona probably, growing up,

tuned a lot out.

I think that's what she does now.

She could be offending you, hurting you,

get in a fight with you, and then she just tunes it out.

She doesn't deal with things,

but however she navigated through that then

is not working for her now as an adult.

You know, last night when we were sitting at the table,

Kenya was, like, suggesting, you know,

maybe that John would like Luann.

[laughter]

- Sometimes you're so all over the place and you're like,

"Oh, blah, blah, blah," that when I saw you,

like, still, and you weren't listening

I literally got a little lump in my throat,

'cause I looked at you, and I was like,

I could tell you were hurt. - No, it did bother me.

I thought it was just, like, crossing a line.

It wasn't necessary, and it's like, really?

It's really important for me, no matter where I go to,

and when I leave to have no regrets.

Kenya pushed buttons in me that brought me back.

- You just said you were flirting with him.

- Yeah, 'cause I was getting [bleep] divorced, bitch!

I felt like being around Kenya

was being in my negative home environment, like my father.

because she grew up without love from her mother.

I grew up without love of my father,

so I thought we had some commonality.

- Uh, for me, I went into this experience

with, like, two mindsets.

I knew I already had two friends,

and I was excited to make more friends.

But I felt like I focused on Kenya specifically.

I only know one way to be a friend.

It's to just give, and to just love,

and just try to make things easy for you.

I would like to request

that we think about considering giving Kenya the master.

I learned some things kind of toward the end of the trip

that didn't really sit right with me,

because I think she may have had a hand

in kind of changing some people's perception of me.

- Kenya, when it was volleyball day, said to me,

"Cynthia's a little, like, mad or jealous

that you and I are friends."

- I probably talked to Melissa the most before the trip.

And then, all of a sudden, it just changed

once she and Kenya connected.

And I didn't know why until Melissa shared that with me.

And then it made sense.

I'm hurt, but hey, now I know.

that just kind of closed up.

It wasn't maybe you.

It was something within me that made me react,

and I don't know why I reacted the way I did,

'cause I don't normally say that to someone I don't know.

- You know, for me, it was like a slap in my face,

because I'm like, "Well, I was trying," you know?

- I'm not that person. - Mm-hmm.

- That's what I'm trying to say.

I'm upset with myself how I butted heads with you.

- What do you think's going on over there?

I mean, they're taking a long time.

- Well, I like that it's taking a while,

because if it was too quick, that's not good.

- Kyle and I were talking to her today, and she's like,

"I always wanted to get to know Kenya,

and it just got off on the wrong foot."

- You were the person I really knew the least,

and I really wanted to get to know you.

And one of the things I wanted to kind of, like,

share on the side with you,

if you wanted to talk about it was that, you know,

you and I have a little bit of similar backgrounds growing up,

because you had a mother who, you know, wasn't there for you.

And even though my father was in my home physically,

I got no love from him either.

- I don't know your whole story,

but just the things that you've shared I think

that we could possibly connect on those things.

My mom--she has never acknowledged me my whole life.

She gave me to my grandmother. She signed the papers--

May I ask how old you were at that time?

She didn't want to have anything to do with me.

- We learn love from our parents.

Your mother teaches you how to love.

teaches you how to love another man.

So I had a very difficult time finding relationships.

I would pick men that wouldn't connect on purpose.

- Yeah, emotionally unavailable.

It's the same thing that I do now,

and that's why I'm in this situation with my husband.

Through therapy I learned that, yeah,

that is a direct correlation on my mother's situation.

Because she was never emotionally available to me.

- Jerk portobello and Capri salad.

- I have a question I want to ask everybody.

This is the one I've been wanting to ask the most.

- Really? - Did you have a misconception

about people, and then, all of a sudden,

you feel totally different about, or not really?

- Kenya.

You know, 'cause people kept saying

she's a drama queen, and--

- Literally, like, all of you asked me about her.

- Right. - Everybody called me up

and was like, "What about Kenya?"

- I am a very forgiving person.

I don't really hold on to grudges

when people are accountable for their actions.

I actually respect that more than anything else.

I won't hold a grudge against you.

- I appreciate that. - No. I won't. I promise you.

The only thing that would bring us backwards

is the same behavior...

- I understand. - Showing itself again.

No one is perfect, but you have to show that you're growing.

Not going berserk on the plane on you, for me,

that was a lot of growth.

- I'm really glad that Kenya and I had this conversation,

and I feel like we both have come to

understand each other better and can build a friendship.

- I think what you need, too, is a hug.

And that feels really good,

- My biggest misconception about the group

I would have to say Teresa.

I've found you to be so sweet and sensitive

and just so down-to-earth.

- It takes a lot to get me mad, but you know,

I have not enjoyed one season on my show.

And so this is the first time

that I actually liked being on TV,

and it was about, like, women empowerment and real bonding.

Not knocking each other down.

- It's probably 100% true,

because from season one till now,

it was--you dealt with, like, the bankruptcy.

Then you dealt with Joe,

and then you dealt with your parents,

and you dealt with your other parent.

Then you dealt with the deportation,

and then, this year-- - Yeah.

It was one thing after another. - I thought this year was good.

But it was still your dad even this year.

And I'm like, "Now she has, like"--

I feel like it's like you've come to a place

where it's all pretty much over.

- It's a new moon. - I think it's just my time

to shine finally. - Exactly.

- But it took a long time.

We have girls hugging, singing, dancing.

I definitely feel like Teresa and I are bonding on this trip

way more than we've ever bonded in the last ten years,

and I just feel like it's gonna continue.

- Looking back on this trip, I laughed so hard,

and that's always my favorite part of a girls' trip.

- What I learned about myself

is the energy that I surround myself with--

that's the energy that I give off.

And that's what I've noticed on this trip.

I had all good vibes, and I was giving good vibes right back.

So it was like a peaceful Teresa.

When you push my buttons,

then you see the other kind of Teresa. [laughs]
