It was in Cairo
that I first met Arthur Milton,

only knew him a couple of days
and we got married.

It was all a bit of a rush.

But it really wasn't much fun.

At least that's what the police thought
till they found out he was in London.

My dear husband
had quite calmly walked out on me.

He thought he could do a certain job
in London better on his own.

Of all the stupid things to do.

In London, Arthur was wanted
more than anywhere.

The police picked up petty crooks
coming out of prison

who might be able
to help them find The Ringer.

Oh, that's what they call Arthur,
"The Ringer".

I never quite knew why.

Anyway, the police thought this fellow
Hackett here might know something.

They soon whistled him
up to Scotland Yard.
