Original subtitles

A-Liguo.

Open it.

General.

Guixu Country's Ancestor...

...risked his life to retrieve the pearl from Dragon Palace.

His aura is very high.

It is said that there is a tribe of merpeople who have always wanted this Dragon Pearl.

If this aura spreads and summons mermaids,...

...a disaster is feared, General.

Mermaids?

Even though the Dragon King is coming today,...

...I also want to see him.

Open!

- Mermen! - Mermen!

The mermaids are coming!

That's how it happened.

Mermaids killing people?

It's a waste you don't become a storyteller.

Sir.

What I say is true.

If you don't believe...

If you don't believe me, look at my wound.

Ask him to tell you the case again.

Make notes and report.

Well.

Sir.

It's not like he's lying.

Although I don't believe in mermaids,...

...but this case is indeed strange.

Shut down the news of the disappearance of the Dragon Pearl.

For those who spread, the law hit 50 times.

Well.

Empress.

I will definitely rediscover the Dragon Pearl.

Once found, will it disappear again?

I only need 10 days.

It's been dry for 10 months.

Folks can hold on for another 10 days?

Five days.

Mo Lingfei.

It's time for the High Court to bring back its leader.

Di Renjie, he...

Tell Di Renjie.

He only has three days.

Well.

Miss Qingluo is beautiful and talented.

Which master is willing to accompany him to poetry and see the moon?

I!

Two hundred and fifty taels!

Five hundred taels!

One thousand taels.

A thousand taels?

This gentleman is truly honoured.

You are...

Minister of High Court?

Mr Di.

You tell them, tell them not to make a fuss.

Sir, be careful.

Sir.

Sir.

Mr Di.

Mister Di, are you all right?

Qian'er.

Mr Di.

You keep this palace court gold plate well.

I dare not take.

This is not my thing.

If anyone wants, then take it.

That's great, Di Renjie.

How dare you use the gold plate the Empress gave her like this.

Mr. Di is already drunk.

Qingluo.

Hurry up and take Master to rest in the room.

Well.

Sir.

In Renjie.

The Empress gave an order, the cases of Guixu Country...

...must be solved in three days.

Then, in three days...

...you bring my head to the Empress instead.

Follow me.

Let go.

Don't fight.

Don't fight anymore.

In Renjie!

Your ministerial position was replaced with the lives of how many people?

Now pretend to be loyal here.

Already sorry?

Regret that you shouldn't have been so ruthless!

Even the heart of the person you love.

Mr Di.

I salute.

He is still alive.

Hey!

Wake up!

He is still alive.

He is still alive.

Really don't know how the Empress can value someone like you.

Quick look, quick look, Goddess Guixu.

Such a beautiful woman.

If you can marry her, then even if you die there will be no regrets.

Don't dream, she is Goddess Guixu.

Qian'er.

Qian'er.

Qian'er.

Why aren't you afraid?

What's so scary about ghosts?

Is there anything scarier than a ghost?

Man.

Huh!

What's so scary about humans?

In Renjie.

Humans are scarier than ghosts, right?

I'll teach you a lesson.

Qian'er.

Dare to scare me.

stop it.

Look no further.

It was Goddess Guixu.

Not matched with you Mr. Di.

Oh yes.

Yesterday you said the Empress wanted me to solve the Guixu case.

Are the rumors about mermaids related to this case?

This happened on the ship.

Where is the proof?

Where's the body?

Mr Di.

Are you sober yet?

When have I ever been drunk?

Where are you going?

If you're going to tackle a case as important as this,...

...then you have to do something big first.

What's the big thing?

Bathe.

Hey, that's my horse!

Mr.

The victim was injured by the sharp claws.

According to Sun Fu's confession, this was the work of a mermaid.

The merman rumors are unbelievable.

I'm guessing someone disguised himself as a mermaid...

...and killed with an iron claw.

Sun Fu had an illusion from being shocked.

These soldiers had no traces of fighting.

How can you just die like that?

This is General Wang Yong?

Right.

Does the General have any signs of poisoning?

There isn't any.

This is...

The Guixu State Envoy who delivered the Dragon Pearls.

A-Liguo.

A-Liguo.

Come on.

Investigate the ship.

- Sir. - Sir.

- Sir. - Sir.

Sir.

From Sun Fu's confession,...

...this is the deck of a ship where mermaids and warriors fight.

This Sun Fu is just talking nonsense.

Assuming this is the case, there is a possibility that the assassin...

...hidden here first.

Then, get on board for action.

Impossible.

In order to protect the Dragon Pearl,...

...the imperial court closed all waterways seven days early.

Although the perpetrators could wait seven days to retrieve the Dragon Pearls,...

...but once this case occurred,...

...every wharf was sealed by the High Court tightly.

It was impossible for the perpetrators to get on the wharf.

No information, no clues.

Yun Ting.

Urgently have someone investigate the clear condition of the boats...

...in and out of the Luohe river area.

Well.

What place is this?

Basic ship.

At that time, 800 Guixu Country clergymen were confined here.

They are safe from danger.

In that case, where are the priests?

They were placed in the residence of the Goddess.

Xuan Yue Palace.

Come on.

Look up.

bad! Come on!

Three sided arrow.

Military division arrow.

Master!

Sir.

There's already a hint.

Seven days ago,...

...someone who bought a fishing boat went out to sea on the side of the Luoyang River.

To this day it hasn't come back.

Fisherman said the man covered his face.

Although I haven't investigated who he is,...

...but I did get some gold from buying his boat.

Sir, take a look.

Zhang's residence.

This is gold from the Zhang Residence.

This makes sense.

Mr. Zhang is skilled at making traps and shurikens.

Even taking care of the military arsenal.

Very suspicious.

However, Mister Zhang was reputed to be fiercely loyal.

What motive did he have for meddling in this matter?

It depends on who he is loyal to.

Of course loyal to Ka...

To the Zhang Residence.

Grand Master.

Grand Master.

What happened?

gentlemen.

My father just came home not long ago.

I heard her screaming in the corridor.

I saw a shadow moving fast.

Then, my father...

My father immediately...

A wound this big must be the work of a merman.

Is it okay to go see Master Zhang's reading room?

Mermaids.

It's said that Master Zhang...

...likes traps and military weapons.

Perhaps in this scroll there is also a trap.

If you want to open, isn't it easy?

Careless.

Iron claw.

Mermaids killing people?

I'll take everyone from the Zhang Residence to the High Court.

Don't you feel this Mr. Zhang was found out too clearly?

All the evidence was well structured to lure me here.

It's playing me.

Interesting.

Think I'm a dancer who knows nothing?

Getting to this point, I really want to...

Do you have any pointers?

I want to go listen to music.

Come on.

Where are you going?

Entertainment Division.

You...

I toast you.

Do not run.

Irritating.

Irritating.

Fulfill it for you.

You sit down, come on.

Fulfill.

Want to drink another glass?

Come on, give me a toast.

I toast you, sir.

Goddess.

Come on, have another glass.

I want to know about the origin of the Dragon Pearl.

Guixu area is indeed very arid.

Once when an ancestor was wandering,...

...accidentally stepped into quicksand.

The springs go straight to the Dragon Palace.

Ancestor directly took the Dragon Pearl from Dragon Palace.

Since then,...

...Guixu is full of rainwater every year.

The barren land becomes a prosperous oasis.

Each village is slowly becoming strong.

Only then could it become a water city in the desert as it is now.

The state must give a reasonable answer to its people.

This is understandable.

Sir.

In Guixu, the origin of the Dragon Pearl is like this.

What about the A-Liguo?

Who's he?

A-Liguo was formerly the Councilor of State.

This person mastered the science of medicine.

After the Guixu Country perished, the Dragon Pearl had always been guarded by him.

This time the Empress begged for rain.

A-Liguo as an emissary carrying 800 Guixu priests...

...delivers the Dragon Pearl to the Tang Dynasty.

A-Liguo.

This person mastered the science of medicine.

This Sun Fu is just talking nonsense.

Thank you, Goddess.

You really aren't Qian'er?

I am Xuan Yue.

I say goodbye

Goddess.

Are you okay?

guanxin.

Do you know who the Qian'er called Master Di is?

Qian'er?

The goddess didn't know due to her long stay in the pavilion.

This Qian'er was the daughter of the Emperor Master, Song Zhaoyan.

Mr. Di's childhood friend.

Said they were getting married.

Unexpectedly...

...Mr. Di even discovered the case of the Emperor Master's rebellion.

Then, the Emperor Master was beheaded.

His entire family was exiled.

Qian'er also died on the way of exile.

Does...

...he look a lot like me?

This...

I've never seen it either.

In Renjie.

You are.

There is something strange about Sun Fu.

Mr Di.

I've said all that needs to be said.

Then, you tell me,...

...how did the Dragon Pearl get lost?

Dragon Pearl?

Didn't I say?

The Dragon Pearls are taken by mermaids.

The mermaids took it?

This story you tell is really amazing.

Do you want to hear my story?

A-Liguo...

...is the State Councilor of Guixu who guards the Dragon Pearl.

He mastered medicine.

Afraid that this country's heirloom will fall into the hands of the Tang Dynasty.

So, he's working together...

- ...with Mr. Zhang... - Who are you?

Mr Zhang.

...building a mercenary murder case.

Then, bring the Dragon Pearl to the ship.

Really?

A-Liguo Envoy.

Sir.

I don't understand what you're saying.

Not understanding is also not a problem.

Do you really believe they will guarantee...

...your Dragon Pearl can return to Guixu?

Master Zhang is dead.

Mr Di.

You're really great.

You really think I'm just for the sake of protecting the Dragon Pearl?

The country has been destroyed.

What else would Guixu want the Dragon Pearls?

However, your Tang Dynasty will be wiped out because of this Dragon Pearl.

The Tang Dynasty will not be wiped out because of the Dragon Pearl.

Just like Guixu.

The Dragon Pearls can't protect you either.

If so, it's up to you if you have this ability or not.

We...

Pursue separately!

Yun Ting.

Sir.

No need to chase anymore.

This is a mermaid?

Sir, there is one thing I don't understand.

If this case really was the work of A-Liguo and Master Zhang,...

...then where is the Dragon Pearl now?

It's been moved out from the start.

Moved?

We've sealed all the wharfs from the previous seven days...

...until now.

After the ship approaches the pier, we also welcome it.

Who had this ability...

...to secretly transport the Dragon Pearl?

Of course we do.

What does it mean?

Our High Court has spies.

spy?

Who looks after the A-Liguo?

Xiao Hu and Chen Liang.

You mean Xiao Hu and Chen Liang...

...collaborated with A-Liguo to steal the Dragon Pearls?

Maybe two people working together.

It may also be the work of one person.

If so, what are their motives?

Will know if investigated.

Yun Ting.

Present.

Find Xiao Hu and Chen Liang.

Well.

Sir.

Report, sir.

Xiao Hu injured me, he has already run away for fear of being punished.

Chen Liang.

How did you know we were investigating a spy?

Don't chase anymore.

[Crown Prince's

Mansion] Crown Prince's Mansion?

By the way, I haven't seen the Crown Prince for a long time either.

I respect the Crown Prince.

Please.

Thank you, Crown Prince.

The Crown Prince's handwriting was as good as rumored.

Strong and firm writing.

Like rain and storm winds.

However, the brush tip is too hard,...

...lacking a bit of elegance.

Now the Tang Dynasty is like autumn leaves in the rain.

My heart is no elegance.

Don't know if Mr. Di still remembers...

...the days of co-writing with the previous Emperor?

Of course I remember.

At that time the Crown Prince was still young.

I followed the previous Emperor...

...both saw the Crown Prince's handwriting.

The Crown Prince is smart, once taught, he immediately understands.

The previous emperor was very happy.

Then, take a brush and write with me.

I remember the previous Emperor wrote "Peace of the people and country".

What Mr. Di wrote was...

"Respect and try hard".

Mr. Di never forgets.

The Crown Prince's Mansion's ink-sharpening maids...

...really diligent.

You idiot, hurry up and go.

Well.

I instead feel that these peach dots are very unique.

So elegant.

If the Crown Prince's heart could be like these peach dots,...

...then that would be for the best.

Some things can't be owned.

This is what is called not getting what you want,...

...instead getting what you don't want.

Do not be rash in action.

If you get one step, you will lose completely.

I say goodbye.

One mistake happened in the world.

From Emperor turned into Monk.

Peach blossom point really ends the bloodline.

It's a shame to be born into the Imperial Family.

Sir, this is a person from the Crown Prince's Mansion.

Tell Mister Mo to go to the Crown Prince's Mansion.

Well.

Who broke into the Crown Prince's Mansion?

The High Court wants to investigate the case.

step aside!

Proceed!

Report, Empress.

It's Dragon Pearl.

I used to consider the relationship between mother and son...

...and maintaining your Crown Prince position.

You don't even know yourself.

Ignore the fate of the people.

Seize the Dragon Pearls for a rain wish.

Killed an important official.

Tell me, what punishment should you be given?

If you intend to punish, all the blame can be given.

father.

Ananda was unfilial.

Li Xian!

Long ago Song Zhaoyan rebelled,...

...you dare say you don't know anything?

Rebel?

Call me a rebel?

This power...

All of this is the power of the Li Family.

I am the Son of Heaven, I am the Emperor.

I will arrest you all today.

You are all traitors.

You too.

How did my father treat you?

You guys too!

In your eyes there is only him.

There is only the Empress.

Now, I want to kill you.

I want to kill you!

Crown Prince!

Crown Prince! Quick hold him!

Crown Prince!

I'll kill you!

I am the Emperor!

It's been crazy.

It's really crazy.

I will kill you!

Call the Royal Physician! Take it away and treat it well!

I will kill all your descendants!

I'll kill you!

You devil.

I'll kill you!

You devil, I'll kill you!

I am the Emperor.

Empress.

The Crown Prince has gone mad.

In my opinion,...

...the Crown Prince is no longer suitable for the position of successor.

It is better for the Empress to choose a successor soon.

Empress.

The Crown Prince's matter was strange indeed.

The Crown Prince is the heir, I don't believe he can...

The King's words were true.

However, right now the most important thing is to beg for rain for the sake of the people.

Minister Di had solved the Dragon Pearl case.

I will definitely give a gift.

Today just got here.

Everything dispersed.

Escort the Empress.

What's this?

There must be something strange about the Crown Prince matter.

Come on.

Follow me to a place.

Careful.

Toxic.

See.

Is Old Man the Insect King?

I am the Deputy Minister of the High Court, Mo Lingfei.

We are currently investigating a case.

There was one thing I wanted to ask the Insect King.

I don't care if you are high court or low court.

There is no Insect King here.

Get out there.

The High Court investigated the case.

Calling you King Insects out of respect for you.

You don't know yourself.

Go!

You...

Obedient.

Does King Insect have time...

...to help clear up my confusion?

Another ugly thing.

This ugly thing of mine...

...can't compare to this, right?

White spider.

Don't fight anymore.

He wasn't the Insect King.

He wasn't the King of the Insects, so, who else?

He.

This is the white spider from Guixu.

Ten years ago,...

...King Cheng was ordered to retake Guixu Country.

He couldn't break through the water city because of this white spider.

Don't look at him small.

Once bitten by it, it will definitely enter the illusion realm.

So toxic?

In that case, how can the Guixu people...

...live with these poisonous insects?

This white spider is very sensitive to the sound of bells.

Meanwhile, the descendant of the Guixu emperor could control spiders.

I'll kill you!

Thank you.

At this rate,...

...the Crown Prince's madness was caused by this white spider.

The Crown Prince was the heir, he just needed to wait patiently.

What's the rush for?

In my opinion, the Crown Prince was harmed.

So, where are we going?

Xuan Yue Palace.

Wait a moment.

I'm in too.

We're going to see Xuan Yue.

gentlemen.

Tomorrow is the rain wish ceremony, Dewi is already resting.

Please come back.

Mr Di.

Please.

The Crown Prince was harmed by someone.

There are witnesses and evidence.

The Crown Prince himself had already acknowledged it.

Why is it called harmed?

You control the spider, make it experience illusions.

Only then could he speak.

Sir.

Do you believe in witchcraft?

I only believe the truth.

Tomorrow is the rain wishing ceremony.

I suggest sir don't make trouble.

Since the Dragon Pearl has been found,...

...stop when it's over.

The Empress...

...really well structured matters.

First of all, trap A-Liguo first.

Then, bought a fishing boat using Mr. Zhang's name.

Even killed the Dragon Pearl guardian warrior.

After A-Liguo arrived at the wharf, Chen Liang was ordered...

...to get the Dragon Pearl off the ship.

Then, secretly put it in the Crown Prince's Mansion.

This all seems well laid out to me.

Lure me to investigate the Crown Prince.

The Empress wants to destroy the Crown Prince with my hands.

So, this rain wishing ceremony was fake.

The truth is wanting to destroy the Crown Prince.

Do you think what I'm saying is true?

Mr Di.

Too much talk must be wrong.

Hurry up!

Mister Di, we have come.

Hurry, quickly grab the torch.

Attack with fire.

Fast!

Help!

Help!

Hurry, quickly divert him to the ravine by the river.

- Come on. - Come on.

What now?

Can you swim?

Can't.

It's okay, you can do it after drinking a little water.

What?

Come on!

Stop it!

Don't fight anymore.

You guys see.

Actually where is this?

This is the Dragon Palace.

Isn't Dragon Palace just a legend?

Come on.

Why come here?

Because of the springs.

Do you still remember the origin of the Dragon Pearl I told you about?

Actually the Dragon Pearl...

...wasn't taken by our ancestors from the Dragon Palace.

Instead, the mermen stole for Guixu Country for treasure.

Without the Dragon Pearl, Dragon Palace would no longer be protected.

The Dragon Bloodline was slowly exterminated.

The mermen received a curse because of this and became murderers.

Meanwhile, Guixu was exterminated by the Tang Dynasty.

Everything is like the law of karma.

Now Dragon Pearl has come to Luoyang.

The Tang dynasty is doomed to perish.

Haphazard!

How dare you curse the Tang Dynasty.

Unless you return the Dragon Pearls.

Returning the land of Guixu Country.

Let all return to peace.

The fate of a country cannot be decided by the Dragon Pearl.

If so, tell me how it was decided.

The most important thing in state power is the people.

Those who win become leaders, those who lose become rebels.

Human speech of course will always change.

Leave the Dragon Pearl to me.

Wouldn't it be fine to let things stabilize again?

The Dragon Pearl is not with me.

Hold out your hand.

Give it to me.

In Renjie.

The pearl belongs to the Empress, don't give it to her.

Sir.

The Dragon Pearl is important evidence, you still have to solve the case.

In Renjie.

The Dragon Pearl is mine.

In Renjie.

Have you forgotten the Emperor's previous message?

Give me the pearl.

- Di Renjie, give me the pearl. - Don't give it.

- In Renjie. - Give me the Dragon Pearl.

Sir.

- In Renjie. - Di Renjie, give me the pearl.

In Renjie.

- Give it to me. - Give me the pearl.

- In Renjie. - Di Renjie, give me the pearl.

This is the power of the Li Family.

I am the Son of Heaven, I am the Emperor.

Appointed Di Renjie as Minister of the High Court.

In Renjie.

Qian'er.

I know you're not dead.

Why haven't you come looking for me in so long?

Where's my father?

Your father...

...was sentenced to rebellion.

My father did not rebel.

He just wanted to help the Crown Prince.

Help the Crown Prince?

The Crown Prince who wants to rebel.

My father only wanted to protect him and the Li Family's power.

The Crown Prince is rebelling? Rebelled against whom?

Everything was within the power of his Li Family.

Empress.

The Empress wants to kill the Crown Prince.

The Empress wants to be the Emperor.

I'm afraid the Empress is also just...

...a pawn.

So, have you investigated who planned it?

I also do not know.

You are right.

Humans...

...are scarier than ghosts.

I can't investigate this case.

There's no case that you can't investigate.

You're only stuck because of me.

Qian'er.

I don't blame you.

You really don't blame me for your father's troubles?

In Renjie.

It's time for you to go.

You should go find the person who planned it.

Qian'er.

Qian'er.

Who actually planned this?

Xuanyue?

Empress?

If so, why are the 800 priests still alive?

Why don't soldiers wear armor?

Is...

Mo Lingfei.

What happened?

We have all been poisoned by the white spider.

- Can't go. - King of Insects.

Although this spider and the one you showed me yesterday...

...both come from Guixu,...

...but their venom is completely different.

These spiders...

...don't kill.

In that case, the poison on the Crown Prince...

...wasn't necessarily Xuan Yue's doing.

In that case, who else could control the spiders?

If I remember correctly, the King brought back a girl...

...after the Guixu Country war back then.

King?

The Empress arrives.

Yun Ting.

Gather all troops.

Come on.

Well.

Come on.

First, the wind and clouds move.

Second, lightning came.

Third, the Dragon appears.

See, it really works.

- It's about to rain. - Really worked.

Wu Zhao is the true leader of the Tang Dynasty.

King Cheng.

Are you going to rebel?

Wu Zhao.

Take back all these tactics of yours.

The Li Family's power cannot change to being surnamed Wu.

You Demon Empress.

You harmed the Crown Prince,...

...tricked the ministers with your demonic arts,...

...disrupted the national court, this is intolerable.

You still dare to fight me with that little troop of yours.

For the sake of the Tang Dynasty, for the sake of the Li Family's ancestral lineage,...

...kill the Demon Empress!

Kill the Demon Empress!

- Kill the Demon Empress! - Kill!

Guards, arrest them!

Capture the Rebel King first, advance.

Yue'er!

When I was eight years old,...

...I was sent to the Tang Dynasty as collateral.

I hate you.

However, you...

...raised me instead.

Yue'er.

stop it!

Empress.

You are good at running the country, indeed a blessing for the Tang Dynasty.

However, the science of illusion is not true, it should not be used.

It is better to give priority to the problems of countries in the world.

Please the Empress consider.

In Renjie.

Do you also want to rebel?

I do not dare.

Because of illness, I haven't attended court matters for a long time.

Now the disease is getting worse.

Please allow the Empress...

...for me to resign for treatment.

For the sake of the Tang Dynasty, actually I can't let you go.

Since I've always excused the ministers,...

...and Mr. Di has begged, I allow him.

Thank you, Empress.

Back to the palace!

Leave!

In Renjie.

Fill in the Empress's order.

The previous Minister of the High Court Di Renjie...

...resigned due to illness.

The Empress understands and specifically allows...

...starting today, Deputy High Court Minister Mo Lingfei...

...is appointed High Court Minister.

That's all.

Merit and fame are not as wide as the world of martial arts.

Casually dressed and drunk in the middle of the forest.

Chase all the way to Guixu and forget everything.

Not jealous of other couples, not jealous of gods.

In Renjie.
