[First Choice] [EP04]

Bai Luo'an,

are you worried about me?

You're Dejia's investor.

If anything happens to you,

Yuexin will be affected too.

Let go.

I said, let go!

Let go?

You vanished for 5 years, got married,

and had a kid with someone else!

Bai Luo'an,

you've got a cold heart.

When did I ever...

Look, we both started new lives.

Let's not get tangled up again.

First, it was Gu Xiaoyu,

and now it's Chen Wenshi!

What do they have that I don't?

I said let go!

Let go!

Stop!

Let go of me!

Huo Ling!

Huo Ling!

Let go!

Stop!

Let go of me, Huo Ling!

Bastard!

Still no news from Shen Qingyi?

Mr. Huo,

drink some water.

[Xiaoyu's corneas]

[were donated to him.]

They want to call off

the engagement because I'm blind, fine.

I, Huo Ling,

won't be controlled by anyone!

Mr. Huo...

Get off me!

I want to hear it from her own mouth!

Mr. Huo,

the doctor said you just had surgery.

You need to rest,

no intense activity!

Mr. Huo!

Mr. Huo!

Who are you?

-This is... -I...

Miss Shen specifically

hired this caregiver to look after you.

Shen Qingyi arranged this?

[Xiaoyu,]

[I want to see your eyes one more time.]

[Just once,]

[and I'll leave.]

That's me.

Come on,

easy now.

Take it slow.

Here.

Mr. Huo,

Miss Shen still cares about you a lot.

You can

see again?

The swelling's gone down, that's all.

But it's enough

for me to see some people's true colors.

Bai Luo'an,

how long will you keep lying?

You already know?

I...

If Shen Qingyi

kicked me to the curb

when I needed help the most,

why bother sending a caregiver now?

So,

why are you still here with me?

I...

Ouch.

It hurts.

Are you okay?

Don't move.

Do you like me?

Mr. Huo,

since your eyesight is back,

I guess there's no reason for me

to stick around anymore.

As of today,

I'm officially resigning.

Not like

you've been paying me,

so I don't owe you anything.

Well,

take care of yourself.

Goodbye.

Who said you could leave me?

The moment you lit up my dark world,

I decided

to spend my life loving you,

protecting you.

[Will you give me that chance?]

[Xiaoyu,]

[this didn't start out purely,]

[but I think I truly love Huo Ling.]

I will.

Huo Ling.

Huo Ling?

The cornea donor

was your first love, Gu Xiaoyu?

Yes.

So, from the start, you got close to me,

all your care and concern:

it was all because of him.

I...

I've wanted to explain this to you,

but I never got the chance.

Actually...

You're a real actress, aren't you?

I was blind, really.

I thought you truly loved me.

So, was all of this fake?

Listen to me, Huo Ling.

Enough!

I'm not falling for your games again.

Yes, I admit it.

I had motives when I first met you,

but...

but later,

my feelings for you were real.

We've been through so much together,

Huo Ling,

I...

Spare me your "genuine" feelings!

What makes you think I'd settle

for being a stand-in for the dead?

You've got some nerve.

At my lowest, it was you

who gave me warmth and hope.

And now, you shatter it all.

It's not like that,

Huo Ling.

The doctors said you weren't healed,

that you couldn't take any shocks,

so I just...

Enough!

I've already drafted the divorce papers.

Don't let me see you again.

Don't forget, Huo Ling,

you ended our relationship yourself.

If that's the case,

Ms. Bai, please move your Yuexin Healing

out of the Dejia Art Center ASAP.

I don't want to see you again.

Huo Ling, calm down.

Integrating art into life

has always been Dejia's philosophy.

What Yuexin is doing now.

is helping kids with special needs

from ordinary families heal through

the platform Dejia provides.

I didn't buy Dejia to run a charity.

I thought, having known darkness,

you'd understand the need

to light the way for others.

Guess I was wrong about you.
