[Episode 5] I told you not to call me.

What?

How much is it?

Thieves...

How much have I made for them so far?

There is one more prison guard now.

Crazy bastard, how can I pay that back now?

I can't even work part time these days.

I'm going to throw out the cellphone you gave me. Do whatever you want.

And he has a soul that can be bought with money.

It's one thing after another.

Should I give you the money?

Now... my time is coming.

Submit a court order request for hospital visits.

It will be an all-out war.

If it's a war that we have to go through anyway...

wouldn't it be better to attack first?

- Nothing happened overnight? - No.

Good. She's calm these days.

Miss Young Ae has convulsions once in a while.

I see.

It's resistance reaction.

Should I give you the money?

No... Should I save your sister?

That would be a better question.

Miss Han Yeo Jin...

If you push that button...

you won't get money or save your sister.

Think carefully...

and wake me up.

No... it's too dangerous.

Don't refuse it.

You'll end up waking me up.

What? What's going on?

- It's nothing. - Such a fool...

It's okay. Take your time.

- Is it done? - I'm sorry. I can't find the vein.

It's fine...

And pricking the wrong spot seven times just happens in life.

If you think about it

it's my fault for having such a sexy body. Sexy enough for the syringe to tremble.

So, just take your time.

Yes.

It's okay to take your time...

but the eighth time should...

Ouch! Ouch!

This lady... Focus!

Done! It's in!

Really?

I'm so grateful that you didn't go for a ninth time!

- I'm sorry, Sir. - It's fine, it's fine.

It doesn't matter at all for me.

You idiot! How could you raise your voice like that?

Do you think an injection is like gangsters

stabbing everything with a sashimi knife?

- Sorry, Boss! - Sorry, Boss!

I'm really sorry.

Please rest, Sir.

Good job.

My goodness...

I came here to live...

but I think I'll leave as a dead body because of her.

Hey, knock before you come in, like a civilized man!

What did you do to the nurse who was just here?

Her face is pale blue!

"Even if a man's thing is crooked, he should still pee straight."

I guess you don't know that phrase.

If you got eight pricks with a needle to get an IV drip

how would you like it?

And would the almighty Doo Chul yell at such a young lady?

Or would I have scared her?

Then why was she like that?

Once young ladies see my sexy body

it could affect them a little.

Boss...

Why are you getting IV drips when you're doing perfectly fine?

When are you leaving? You're not even sick!

I'm not sick?

My whole body is aching. Do you know how much my heart hurts right now?

My kids got scattered around and got taken in.

My heart is not doing fine now.

I'm going crazy.

Hey, I'll give you some really good news.

- Huh? - Hey, bring it over!

Yes, Boss.

Tada!!

[The Hero's Fall, Actor Cha Se Hoon arrested for gambling.]

This bastard, even gambling...

- He deserved it. - Right? Right?

I'm going to save this article and frame it.

This? Why?

No way... You?

Tae Hyun.

How bad... did she get?

She almost had uremia

but luckily, your father found her before it was too late

and brought her to the hospital so she was able to avoid it.

But the problem is So Hyun's particular humoral immunity

that doesn't respond to immunosuppressive drugs.

How long... can she hold out?

Well... if she keeps up with dialysis

a month or two?

Even if she hangs it there, it'll be tough.

Jeez...

The sister is about to die

but the brother is looking great!

Dad!

Guardian, please leave us for a minute.

This bastard with no manners...

You look like you're going to hit someone.

Hey... See?

I told you to come for dialysis on time!

This happened because you didn't listen to me.

Tae Hyun, make up with Dad.

Once I die, Dad will be your only family--

Hey, you're really...

Okay, don't get mad at me.

But Dad had it bad, too.

If you keep talking about nonsense, I'm leaving.

You should listen to me, too.

Make a dying person's wish come true.

What?

Are you going to keep this up?

I am really happy to have met you in this life.

Next time, I'll be born as your older sister.

I'll take good care of you then.

I'm sorry about this time.

You've done more than enough.

You can stop now.

"The matter of life and death is on Heaven."

People can't do anything about the life determined by Heaven.

It sounds like... you're not taking any responsibility for my mother's death.

I am...

I'm different from you.

I don't avoid responsibilities like a coward.

I will never let go of So Hyun.

You've done more than enough.

You can stop now.

Did something happen?

- Cynthia, did you hear from the States? - From the States?

I'll hear from them when it's time.

Who is the patient that you're nagging me morning, noon, and night?

Did you check again this morning?

You got it! Right?

- Yup! - Really? Is there a possibility?

Let me read it first!

This patient... has a chance.

Really? For sure?

Yes, the immune system is transforming.

So she can get surgery to transfer the antibody immune system.

And they have a liver that is a match.

They have a lot of donors in the States.

Who am I? I'm Cynthia!

Thank you.

Thank you so much, Cynthia.

Who is the patient, by the way?

How much is she worth that you're so happy?

How much is she worth...

But...

What's the cost?

- It says it's about one and a half. - One and a half?

A million! About 1.5 million dollars. For the surgery alone.

And if you add a few things, about two billion won? Before my fee.

What? That is not expensive.

There are a lot of treatments that are easier but more expensive.

Water! Bring me water!

Who are you?

What is it?

What? A request for a court order?

Request for a court order for hospital visits?

- Please calm down, Chairman. - Calm down?

- You said this wouldn't happen. - I'm sorry.

Yes, I'm calm. And?

What are you going to do now?

A judge hasn't been assigned yet

but we'll make sure that the request is not accepted.

And we sent our counsel team to the hospital.

President Go won't be able to meet with Miss Yeo Jin.

So you don't need to worry too much--

I'm not asking you the question to hear that kind of an answer!

- I'm sorry. - They must know something about Yeo Jin.

Otherwise, they wouldn't submit a court order to meet with her.

I think...

I should kill her.

Tell the hospital Director to kill Yeo Jin right away.

You can't, Sir.

The plan we've been pushing for for the last three years will become useless.

And if you look at the request

here is no reason to believe that they know about her condition yet.

Don't act like you're the only smart one!

When I tell you to kill her, hurry up and kill her, you bastard!

I'll give you exactly 48 hours from now.

Resolve that court order request bullshit now.

Otherwise, I'll bury you along with Yeo Jin.

Got it, Sir.

48 hours?

Right... even then, it wasn't even enough for a piece of gum.

All those crazy acts...

You've done more than enough.

You can stop now.

Should I give you the money?

No...

Should I save your sister?

That would be a better question.

Think carefully...

and wake me up.

It's him!

This is the 1172nd day since I've been locked in the glass box.

Finally... the moment I've been waiting for is coming.

Yes, I'm having a dream right now.

- I'll go take a look at Miss Young Ae. - Yes.

Oh, Dr. Kim just went in there.

Miss Yeo Jin? Open your eyes.

Miss Han Yeo Jin, open your eyes, please!

Hello?

Valued customer, we love you. I'm calling from Hankook Credit Card Service.

- Would you have a minute to talk? - Please...

Stop loving me so much!

Hey, get up.

What are you doing here? Get up right now!

Why don't you leave me alone?

I went out for a house call again last night.

- I'm dead tired. - What?

Have you lost your mind?

How dare you... What are you doing now?

What? I can't even take a nap here?

It's nice and quiet.

- Do you know where this is... - What is this place?

A criminal scene where a person is locked up and put to sleep?

Why are you so surprised?

What? Are you going to report me?

The Director?

Someone higher? The Chairman?

Nice! When you make a report

report to him how Miss Young Ae woke up last week because of your mistake.

When she slit her wrist and went to the OR...

The attempted suicide case.

Turn off the light when you leave.

Don't provoke me.

Living with gangsters... made me a half gangster.

If you understood, then leave.

Let me get some sleep.

What the heck am I doing?

You're pretty good.

I had my eyes closed.

It's too bad that I missed seeing her face.

What do you want from me?

This isn't right.

If you've been thinking this over for a week and woke me up without warning...

shouldn't I ask that question first?

Tell me what you want.

Money for your sister's treatment.

Fine. Cellphone.

Why the cellphone...

You asked for money?

How does it work?

Here...

You press this.

When I ask you in words...

answer me in words.

[Geneva, Switzerland]

Please speak, Ma'am.

Hello, please check for a client code.

Please wait.

Yes, tell me.

DW207BC301

Yes, Madam. It's been a long time. Nice to speak to you.

Please tell me the password.

Did the lavender bloom in Provence?

He had that kind of talent?

Let me talk to him.

Sleeping? What time is it now?

I see. What about you? What are you doing?

Check your email.

It's an anonymous certificate of transfer.

Don't be too happy.

WIthout a passcode, it's not money yet.

Of course, I will give you the passcode on the day I leave here.

What do you think? It's fair, isn't it?

Keep in mind.

As long as I'm asleep in here...

your sister can't get treatment.

What... What should I do?

Yes, Chief.

Since when did you know that Yeo Jin was an artificial case?

The night before I started working on the 12th floor

I saw her in the OR.

I see. And you pretended not to know?

A man with such manners, my cunning Tae Hyun.

Good job with Nurse Hwang!

I couldn't stand her acting almighty

because she was connected directly to Chairman Han.

And you shot her down instead of me.

But don't provoke her too much.

She's dangerous.

Sly bitch! You flirted with him, didn't you?

Are you mad at me?

Girl... Okay.

I'll make you all pretty.

There are a lot of eyes watching.

What brings you here?

Whose idea was the court order request?

We gathered consensus from the shareholders--

- Cancel it right now. - Pardon?

If you don't, Han Do Joon will kill Yeo Jin.

Ma'am, we made this decision

based on pressure from foreign and corporate investors.

If we ignore it, it'll be a breach of trust.

Would the brother kill his own sister?

The wife wouldn't betray her husband like this, either.

So, he will kill Miss Young Ae?

One in a million, if the Chairman did that

he'd lose half of Miss Young Ae's shares in taxes.

What if there was a reason to block hospital visits even at that cost?

Do you know what the reason is?

Well?

President Go, let's talk for a minute.

- Please leave us for a minute. - Sure.

- Chae Young, don't worry too much-- - We're in public now.

Yes, please speak, Ma'am.

President Go, you know very well how much my father trusts you, right?

Of course. I'm well aware of it.

But not me.

Breach of trust?

I am well aware that it's your plan.

What do you mean by that--

I cannot allow you to act on your own anymore.

For us and for Yeo Jin! Don't create a dangerous situation.

Put Miss Young Ae in danger?

That will never happen.

I have a sword with blades on both sides in my hand.

Whether it will cut you or Han Do Joon...

I'm not sure either.

Don't trust me too much.

Just like I don't trust you.

I reduced the dosage by half as you requested.

You'll be more conscious now.

Be careful not to get caught.

I'm going to check on Miss Young Ae.

Yes.

Is Miss Young Ae uncomfortable in any way?

No.

It's not like training a mutt...

I think we should hit them first.

What? Hit them first?

They have no intention of canceling the court order request.

- Maybe-- - Chae Young, I'm nervous.

- To be an enemy of President Go-- - Dad.

It's an opportunity for us.

- If we can get our hands on Yeo Jin-- - Get our hands on? She's not a thing.

Even then, why would Yeo Jin cooperate with us?

The same way that Han Do Joon has been using Yeo Jin so far.

You don't need to know yet.

His daughter is better than he is.

Although that's how she'll shorten her life.

Remember her face.

She's the first target.

You're doing this on purpose, aren't you?

To bother me...

you're doing this on purpose, you wench!

Why are you doing this?

Let go of me! Let go!

Calm down!

Let go!

Let go of me! Let go!

What are you doing?

Let go of me!

Are you calm now?

I'm sorry.

My alarm has a problem.

There isn't anything wrong with it.

Nurse Hwang, you're off nights for a while.

- Switch with Tae Hyun. - I'm fine.

It's not for your sake.

Overworking leads to accidents.

- But in this situation-- - Just go home and rest!

Before I report you to the boss!

It's easy to make a perfectly normal person crazy.

Normal?

That woman is really crazy.

You've been in bed for three years.

Do you know the reason your body is so clean and free from bedsores?

Because Nurse Hwang took better care of you than she took of herself.

Like her doll?

If you knew what she did to me...

you'd faint.

No way.

I don't lie. And...

no one has ever spoken to me the way you are now.

Really?

Then you should get used to it.

This is how I talk.

- You have no manners. - I have no hypocrisy.

Pretending to be evil is also evil.

The fact that I'm the only one who can save your sister...

Don't forget that.

You're right.

But...

for you as well...

don't forget the fact that I'm the only boat

that will take you to the outside world.

And this boat is not a cruise ship.

Also, the Chairman's wife wants to meet with you.

Chae Young?

- Her reason? - I don't know.

Okay. Keep in contact for now.

Yes.

I'll get going.

Don't go.

Why not? Do you have more business?

No! Don't turn off the light!

Don't turn it off.

It's frustrating.

You don't like Chairman's wife?

It's not a matter of whether I like her or not.

Then?

Chae Young's father worked for my father.

If he's submitting himself fully to Han Do Joon

he wouldn't have to look for me.

I can trust him on that.

- It's just... - It's just?

That he's weak.

He's not someone who can go against Han Do Joon by himself.

So, the reason Chae Young wants to see me is...

because of Chae Young's unfulfilled greed...

that stems from living with someone she doesn't love.

Have you been well?

I haven't been able to visit you often. I'm sorry.

Anyway, people are still lined up outside to have an audience with you.

There should be people who want to see me.

The ones who need my power to stand against Han Do Joon.

We need to contact them first.

Not too long ago

some people made an attempt to see you.

Your brother sent them back in front of the restricted area.

Do you know who they were?

I don't.

By any chance...

Give me your cellphone.

Was he one of them?

Pick it up and look at it.

You'll get mad if I take away the phone.

Yes, that's him.

That's President Go of Hanshin Construction.

He works for my mother's family.

He's an enemy of my father.

I'm sure he has tried to visit me.

I heard them talking in the elevator.

A court order for hospital visits?

- What was it? - A preliminary injunction?

Yes, a preliminary injunction!

I heard them debating if they should do it.

Did they?

He wouldn't have done something like that.

If he had...

I wouldn't be alive right now.

Is this man... strong?

He's strong.

Not these people...

but is there anyone you do want to see?

No.

Why not? You've been locked in here for three years.

Isn't there anyone you miss?

They are all dead.

Everyone I loved.

Because they loved me.

Then when you leave here, what's the one thing you want to do most?

To destroy this place.

Along with people who locked me up.

I'm going to destroy this prison.

Sure, I get it.

I get it.

You must have something you want to eat.

My mom's soy bean stew.

Damn...

Why does it have to be soy bean stew?

Kimchi stew, soft tofu stew...

Of all the many stews, why does it have to be soy bean stew?

You had to make it so obvious.

Kids without their moms.

You're also making it obvious right now.

Is it obvious?

- Do you have friends? - Friends?

Friends are people who share the same interests.

I'm here like this...

So such relationships can't be established.

You don't have any.

Of course I have friends.

I have a lot of friends from school...

and there are a lot of Presidents of related companies who follow me.

That means you don't have any.

Then... do you have a lot of friends?

No. I don't have friends, either.

I was poor when I was little.

I didn't have anything to give

and the only thing I was getting was pity.

So, I don't have friends either.

- Add a wish. - What?

When you get the Genie out of the bottle

he grants three wishes.

No, the deal is over.

You should at least listen to what the wish is.

Then you can decide if you want to grant it or not.

Fine.

Let me hear it.

My second wish is...

Let's... be friends.

What? Friends?

Yes, friends.

Neither of us has friends.

By the way... how old are you?

Age is only a number. Don't you know that?

And I love people with lots of money and power to begin with.

So let's be friends!

Shameless... You won the lotto.

For someone as poor as you to have a rich person like me as a friend.

Okay! We'll be friends.

If friendship doesn't work out, we can always break up.

Okay, then starting tomorrow, let's start rehabilitation exercises.

Rehabilitation? Here?

I won't.

I will do it after I return home.

If you can't walk to the throne...

you can't sit on the throne either.

I found a reason to send you back to the throne today.

[Yong Pal]

- This is the only way. - It was her fate to die this way.

Dead on the table.

Is it to kill Miss Young Ae?

Plan B.

- They'll kill me. - I'll be standing there.

That will never happen.

Trust me. I'm Yong Pal.
