[Ever Night 2]

[Episode 20]

Since Fu Zi has already passed away,

that also means your Father can come back.

This can be counted as a good thing I suppose.

Senior Uncle, even thought its been so many years, you still never ever told me why

Father was exiled to the Southern Seas.

At this stage, I'm supposing that this can now be said right?

Since you really want to know, I will just tell you.

That year when Ke Haoran, from the Tang Academy, died from the Heaven's Wrath

Fu Zi was so angry that he went up the Peach Mountain, entered the Spiritual temple,

just used a simple wooden stick which chopped down all the peach trees.

Fu Zi defeated many good fighters.

The Monastery Leader tried everything,

but still couldn't last any longer on the stick.

He was defeated at once, so he had to just wander in the South Sea.

He was not allowed to step his foot on the land.

Fu Zi was so great.

Even the great cultivator like my father can't compare to him.

Pipi.

It's good that the Monastery Leader can come back now.

Junior Master.

When Fu Zi comes back, it'll surely be a good thing, right?

So many people

died this year.

I had a dream just now.

I dreamt about my father and my grandfather.

I also saw many people who left us.

Now, even Fu Zi is gone.

Fu Zi belongs to the heaven.

He is only at where he is supposed to be.

Whoever it is,

has to face death one day.

I can't hold on any longer, Xiatian.

I'm going to Fu Zi.

Nonsense.

You will be fine.

I will be with you.

You need to protect Tang for me.

Even so,

I don't feel any fear at all.

Because I believe that Tang will be the greatest.

I am the most powerful person in the world.

And I married the woman I loved the most.

Now that

she is right next to me.

What's there to regret?

I have many regrets.

I couldn't see you growing old.

I couldn't have you see our son growing up.

The thing I regret the most

is that I shouldn't have came here.

Don't say that.

Without you, we wouldn't have what we have now.

Xiatian, do you know that

the moment I saw you,

I knew you were all I have.

The moment I met you,

I knew that

I belonged to you.

Little Six.

Come.

Take care of your mother and yourself.

In the future,

have Little Six learn from

the First Teacher of the Academy.

Regarding Yu'er and Hunyuan,

as long as they don't misbehave,

let them live.

Promise me.

I got it.

Old Ma.

Ma Shixiang.

Here.

Wei Shixiang of the Wei City.

I trust the people you trust.

May I have you pass the message to hundreds of miles away?

I am passing my throne to the Six Prince, Li Hupo.

And you will be the executor of my last command.

Your Majesty.

Your Majesty, I will do my best.

Even if it will cost my life.

Xiatian.

I'm going.

Father!

Your Majesty.

Your Majesty!

Father! Father!

Father! Father! Father!

Father!

Father!

Go invite General Hua over.

I need to talk to you about something important alone.

Father is gone.

His Majesty.

Preceptor.

Preceptor.

His Majesty followed Fu Zi.

That is such a tragedy for Tang.

Don't be too sad, Preceptor.

We have more important things to do.

What's the prince's plan?

Wait for the last command.

How do you know that the last command will arrive in two days?

Because I understand my father.

Why do I have to help the prince?

Because I'm a Tang.

The Six Prince is also a Tang.

But his mother is not. The future emperor of Tang shouldn't be impure.

Especially when it's the demon sect.

Please don't forget that

you are the Preceptor of Tang.

Your Highness.

The princess is inside. Please wait.

Why is this happening? Why?

His Majesty has decided.

This last command was written a year ago.

Can the last command be changed?

Usually not.

When is it unusual?

When our country is no longer.

What do you want?

Preceptor, I will do anything you want.

I want Tang to last as long as it can.

I want the Heavenly God to be recognized everywhere.

I want the people of Tang to live without a worry.

Your Highness, can you promise me that?

[Heavenly Dao]

Greetings, your Highness.

How long have you waited?

Not long.

It's cold tonight. Don't get sick or I will feel back.

Thank you, your Highness. I don't deserve this much kindness.

You want to do something great, don't you?

Your Highness knows what I want.

I asked you here to tell you something important.

You have to be the one to do this. I don't trust other people.

I will not let you down. Please do tell, your Highness.

There will be changes in the capital.

Help me to watch the prince.

Yes.

Teacher, it's time for your meds.

There have been so many funerals in the capital these years.

The old governors that have been through 3 courts. Old generals.

They've all died one by one.

Now that his Majesty is gone.

Even Fu Zi is gone.

Tell me, is it the fate or not?

Teacher, since the capital is so chaotic,

we have to protect the last gate of the capital.

The God Startle Formation.

Hunyuan. Hunyuan.

Where is the Third Prince?

He...he...

Find me now!

Yes.

Pass my order. Have Lord Li count the people inside the palace.

Find out if there have been people sneaking out.

Yes, your Highness.

If I remember it right,

you were from Qinghe County, right?

Yes.

My family is a branch of the He's in Qinghe.

Is that the branch

that had a Grand Priest of Xiling?

Yes.

If I am right,

you are the Shrine Leader's people.

No wonder you

have always been interested in the God Startled Formation.

You've been practicing the Heavenly God

here for so many years.

Your purpose must be finding the Formation Eye Pestle.

It's a shame that the Formation Eye Pestle

was handed to Ning Que.

My Lord, there's a piece of secret information from the palace.

What?

His Majesty is dead.

His Majesty is dead?

The princess went to the Heavenly Dao in the middle of the night.

I'm afraid that the last command will have changes.

Yu'er is going to steal

and the result is obvious.

The new inheritor that they are announcing tomorrow in court will have to be...

It doesn't matter whose name is on the last command.

First come first serve.

The throne of Tang should be mine.

I will alway be loyal to you.

Since you always knew it,

why haven't you exposed me?

Because

you are my favorite student.

I have always been struggling.

Choosing a relatively smooth road and keep walking,

so I chose the princess.

Also, I didn't expose you.

People say that the capital can't be attacked.

All the cultivators

all praise the power of the God Startled Formation.

But only a few know that

the unbreakable thing

is actually Fu Zi.

But Fu Zi died after all.

It proves that the Light cannot be defeated.

But now, the Academy without Fu Zi

is not going to be able to against the whole

world alone like in the past.

So Tang will fail.

It's all fate.

It's all fate.

If Tang is going to survive,

it has to go back to

the Light.

I know that you

had an agreement with Prince Hunyuan.

But don't forget,

the people of Tang

are also the believers of the Light.

And you are also a Tang.

I hope that you can

make it less violent.

Less blood.

I will use my life to do it.

From tonight on, you no longer have to

hide in the dark.

After tonight, your names will be remembered.

Tonight, I will use the emperor's sword

to kill the evil ones and get Tang back on it's track.

We will always be loyal to you.

It's the princess's command. Open up.

Yes.

Hurry.

[The inheritor of the throne is Li Hunyuan.]

-Have you found him?-Your Highness, we can't.

Where is he?

Keep looking! Right now!

Yes.

And you, you. Go find him.

Yes, your Highness.

Sir Wang.

Commander Xu.

You have a lot of people with you in the middle of the night.

Where are you going?

The princess asked for me, so I came.

The princess asked for you.

I have to go.

Wait.

Your Highness, he is not in the Yizheng Palace.

Your Highness, he is not in the garden.

Your Highness, he is not in the kitchen.

The princess asked for all the guards during the night.

As the leader of the guards,

but I knew nothing of it.

Commander Xu, here's what happened. Listen to me.

I'm here to catch you.

It's ok. I got you!

Where are you?

Right here.

I got you!

What are you doing here?

Take him.

Let go of me.

Let go of me.

Your Highness, someone intruded the palace?

Who?

It was from Sir Wang. I fought the intruders and they were really strong.

There were cultivators among them.

Cultivators?

-How many of them?-The guards probably caught more than 10.

There were still a couple of them out there.

Also, the palace guards were murdered by them.

So we don't know how many of them got in.

I've already ordered the guards to be on duty.

They are searching for the intruders.

-Report!-Hunyuan.

-Have you found Hunyuan?-Report!

Your Highness, the Third Prince

was caught by the assassins.

-Xu Chongshan.-Yes.

Pass my order.

Do your best to find the Third Prince.

Yes, your Highness.

Who are you? What do you want?

Do you know who I am?

Of course, I do.

Or why am I going to kill you, Third Prince?

If you kill me, my sister will not let you off easy.

So you think she can live.

Your Highness.

What are you doing here?

Hua Shanyue, you should know the circumstances for tonight.

I suggest that you make the right choice.

As you can see, I've made the right choice.

Kill them.

[Inn]

This is ridiculous. Let the Third Prince go.

If you want to save the Third Prince,

have Li Yu come here alone.

I will say it again.

Have Li Yu come in alone.

He said to have Li Yu...my sister to come in alone!

Get back!

Have my sister to come in alone.

What are you doing? Get out of here?

-Your Highness.-I will deal with it.

I'm here.

Let go of Hunyuan.

If you want me to let him go, hand me the last command.

Sister, give it to him. Give it to him.

Please, give it to him.

Put it on the floor.

Get back.

Get back.

My lord, if I make it, I will shoot red fireworks.

If I faile, I will shoot white.

Please act accordingly.

Retreat! Retreat!

Don't chase them.

What are you doing here, Uncle?

Yu'er, I heard that someone tried to assassinate and overthrow,

so I brought people here to support. Are you ok?

Thanks to you I'm fine.

Uncle,

I shot the fireworks.

I've been close to you when I was little.

I know what you like.

Did I guessed right?

White was for failure.

Alright.

Alright.

Maybe this is fate.

I was only gambling.

I bet that my failure will end tonight.

I want to see if the emperor's sword Father gave me

can make me the emperor.

Since the ending is set,

why gave me the hope?

You are gambling, and so am I.

It's just that my bet

is my family's dinity and pride.

We should know that

I didn't make the choice.

And it's not you either.

It was Father's soul.

Have you read his Majesty's last command?

Why ask, Uncle?

We will see tomorrow.

It looks like it must be Li Hunyuan inheriting the throne.

Just rest in the palace tonight.

You will be in mourning.

Once you've mourned enough, you may go back.

My lord, please.

I know that

there are many dramas and rumors in the palace,

but what happened tonight,

if you dare tell any soul about it,

you will be dead here.

Understood?

Yes, your Highness.

Go.

Yes.
