Now

Together

The wait is over as NXT is live deep down in the Lone Star State of Texas.

And for the first time ever, we are inside the Burt Ogden Arena where the

WWE Universe is ready to feel an extreme heat wave.

The long, unforgiving summer is close to an end.

Yet lingers stubbornly beyond its welcome.

As the months crawl on, we wait to change in seasons and long for

relief.

But in the Lone Star State, there will be no relief.

Oh, it just got so much hotter. With blazing intensity and suffocating

swelter, we reach the pinnacle.

A vacant wave.

D'Angelo, Villa, Waller, Montana.

It's a fatal four-way.

We get the fun and it burns, burns, burns, burns.

We're going hot, hot, hot, hot. To the dead, hot, hot, to the dead.

I beat three men to win this title, and I'll beat the three of you to cheat.

We're going hot, hot, hot, hot. To speed.

and Women's North American Championship.

Three women, two titles, but only one.

Boom, boom, baby.

Leaves with it all.

Keep winning it, winning it, winning it, winning it, bitch. Maddie is set to

confront Jada Parker.

Jada got soft, Jada got comfortable, and guess who exposed her?

Me. You may be the low-key legend, but at Heat Wave, I'm a high-key wax that

ass. Who is going to tap at Heat Wave?

Bitch!

Miles Bourne will be pulling double duty until defending North American title and

the tag team title alongside Tavion Heights. Two title defenses.

That's two Ws. BP is coming back. That's down in gold.

His vanity project bring three titles back to the frat house. The boys are

going to reclaim the tag team gold.

And Jack Show is about to be your new men's NXT North American champion.

When it comes to this division, I am the benchmark.

Can Kendall Gray defend the NXT Women's Championship against Kalani Jordan?

The target's on my back, and she better not miss. It's only going to take me one

shot. The standout's going to take your title and put your ass right back on the

bench.

Who will scorch the entire field and all of the

competition here in NXT?

will survive the Heat Wave.

of AAA's own Heat Wave. The arena is still buzzing. With temperatures

reaching 100 today here in Texas, it's now time for NXT to take the center

stage. Welcome to Heat Wave.

And welcome in ringside, I'm Vic Joseph, alongside the two-time WWE Hall of

Famer, along...

Women's Championship match tonight right here at HeatWing. Oh, yeah. Let me tell

you something. With the index, they say it's going to be 103.

But the ladies inside tonight, one pin.

It's going to get hot in here, y'all.

The NXT Women's Championship around their waist. Will it be Kalani Jordan or

will it be Kendall Gray? The other match we got tonight features four men, one

championship. It's our main event. Fatal four-way for the NXT title. Oh, step up

top. Hey, it's Zilla Fatu in the heart tonight, y'all. Ready to make history.

First time in the ring. Title shot. Oh, yeah, man.

You can't just talk about Zilla Fatu. You got to talk about...

Cruz, Montana.

He worked his entire life to get to this opportunity.

And then there's Grayson Waller. Waller's done a lot of talking.

Can he back it up tonight? For there's one man we haven't talked about. The man

with the championship. The man who doesn't have the odds in his favor. I'm

talking about the Don. The only Grand Slam champion in this brand's history.

Tony D'Angelo. Four will enter.

Only one will leave with the championship.

But look, I don't want to waste any more time. Because it's time to start Heat

Wave with a unification match.

The following is Dave's triple threat, women's feet, and NXT

Women's North American Championship Unification Match!

Introducing first, from Adelaide, South Australia, she is the NXT Women's

North American Champion, Daria!

The unification match between the women's North American and the speed

title. I want to point out right now, there is no speed clock in this matchup.

I just want to get that point out because that is obviously one of the

best things about those speed matches. You've got to get it done within a time

limit. But I want to talk about this woman. Just how dominant has Zaria been

for her?

Zaria's reign has only been 77 days, but it's been a dominant 77 days, Vic.

Texas, she is the women's league champion, Wren St.

Clair.

Dallas, Texas, she won the championship in Houston, Booker, if you remember. It

was your appreciation.

So does that give Wren the home field advantage here this afternoon?

Home state advantage.

You know the people. You know who they're going to be going for. Wren St.

Clair, this is the moment.

And the thing is, Wren, she's done her work so quietly, man.

There's Zaria taking in this moment because those two championships will be

unified here in moments.

Go, go, go, go, go, go, go,

go. On your mark, get set, let's go.

What is it you say about the airport test?

You know, somebody like Callie, you look at her, you don't have to know who she

is, but you know she is somebody.

Oh, yes, man.

Callie defeated Daria on Tuesday to earn this opportunity.

Yeah,

yeah, yeah.

Roll with it, Nick. Roll with it. Yeah.

What it is, man. We've been working together four years. You ever seen me

roll with it or bounce with it? If I shake it, I break it.

She's getting ready to say.

Sally Armstrong defeated Zarya for this opportunity. She has also pinned Ren

Stinclair in the past.

So, does that give her an edge, in your opinion, heading into this match?

She also, by the way, is the only one with nothing to lose in everything the

game. You know what? I disagree with you on that.

Opportunity for Cali also.

Opportunities like this don't come around too often.

You could ask Delaney, join that man.

That is a very good point. We'll talk about that later on in the evening.

First of five championship matches here at Heat Wave. It's been quite the way to

cap off this CW Sports spectacular weekend as a quick go behind by

Sinclair. But there's Zari. Zari getting into the cover. Whoa, swing. This is

Cali countered by Wren.

Cali takes Wren over. Zari with a crucifix counter.

Near fall.

You would have thought the speed clock was up, by the way.

It's about going out here and trying to get the thing done and get it done

quicker than grand fashion fit.

hottest night of the summer here, this heat wave.

Oh, Callie just dropped it now. Ren Sinclair trying to have points in this

matchup. She has been the women's speed champion for 166 days.

Callie Armstrong, a former USC track and field standout, has been a champion in

the past, was the first ever evolved women's champion who just got dropped by

the women's North American champion and both dropped by the speed champion.

Sinclair for hit three and a double kick out. Not going to work, but I understand

the mindset.

to go out here and try to do anything to try to get a three count in this matchup

right here tonight. Oh, big shot there by Gally. I can't imagine that. Ren

Sinclair is very happy with Zaria because odds for both champions

retaining went down after Tuesday, but look at the power.

The power.

That's what that was, Big.

And Zarya charging right back in. And Zarya's taking control of this matchup.

Big shot. Big shot right there by Zarya.

Like I say, Zarya's so high in the range.

She's going up there. She hasn't dunked anybody, Vic. You've got to give her a

lot of credit in here in this triple threat matchup. She has not. This, by

the way, the seventh unification match in NXT history. The last June 2023 on

SmackDown for the NXT Women's Tag Titles. And what a big shot. Dropping

red. And Callie turning things around in this matchup. They're going to jab.

They're going to jab right there. She's going to follow it up. She's going to

follow it up with a little shippy, shippy. Oh, right there.

Peppered Daria. And Callie now in control. Look, Callie Armstrong is a

woman who stands by the fact that she is.

The difference maker. She is. I mean, like you say, we have an all-in. We've

all championed.

My thing is, I actually talked to Callie. I said, you've got to

understand. It's the reason why you lost that championship.

What is it going to take to get you back to the mountaintop? Well, we might find

out here in the next few minutes. And, wow, using her environment to the

advantage was Armstrong, who recently, along with Miles Bourne, was on the hood

of the Sandmare 48 at Daytona. And she just picked up some speed coming around

that turn.

And that's what it's all about, the Women's North American and Speed

Championship. And now Callie, one more time, revving the engines.

Oh, baby.

Callie's down.

Rev's in control. Who's walking out unified champion?

American Championships hang in the balance in this unification match to

kick off Heat Wave as both champions right now.

Vicarious position.

Double underhook butterfly suplex from the top by Wren. Wren turns right around

into a spine buster. And ooh, kick out.

And now look at Mark Kelly. You know, as we're getting deep into this unification

matchup, take another look at that suplex.

We got to talk about the history of these titles.

Candice LeRae, the first ever speed women's champion crowned October the

4th, 2024.

Kalani Jordan, who we will see later on tonight, was the first ever women's

North American champion. Booker, you remember, won that at Battleground in

the same year.

Give Kalani George some credit and put some respect on her name. Finally

getting a title shot here tonight, Vic. We're not going to argue about it this

early, but she's had many a chance to become number one contender and couldn't

do it. But Ren right now trying to do it, trying to unify some titles.

Zaria rolls through and ooh, just got lit up.

But the dangers of the triple threat match. There comes Callie Armstrong.

Callie right there just made it to the book.

Oh, what a shot catching Callie right on the nose. Zaria now turning around and

just got tossed in. And look at Wren.

Effective offense.

Two for one.

Doubling it. Oh, no. Not able to put away. Callie falls into Zaria and still

not able to get the job done here tonight. And for Callie right now.

Got to give her credit. You got to remember that feeling Callie has right

now, the nerves, the excitement of your first major premium live event. A lot of

pressure, a lot of pressure on the ladies. For me, it was the television

championship, going out there and winning my first time out. That's what

this thing is about right here for Rhea Sinclair. If she can pull it off, Vic.

It's a history-making moment for Vic.

One of these women will indeed make history. Could it be Rhea Sinclair?

Powering out with Zari, and you notice Zari able to kick out. There wasn't a

lot on the kick out, but she didn't go after count.

And this may be why. She may see a softening up of Zari in that moment,

looking for that final wrench, couldn't get it, and boom, big clothesline. Is

Zari walking a little gingerly to you, Book?

Not after that, not after that.

Delivered that big shot right there.

Cali, who packs a lot of muscle, Vic.

Absaria now, who has never lost to Sinclair. They've faced in some form or

fashion nine different times. They just know each other so very well. And on the

back, Absaria.

Oh, baby.

They just cannonballed into Cali.

Backpacked. Everyone's down in this unification matchup.

Take another look and just feel that impact.

Man.

All three women down, all three fighting to make history at Heat Wave, to unify

the women's feed and the women's North American championship.

Who will be that history maker?

Lynn Sinclair, family drove in from Dallas.

They're here watching this. They want to see Sinclair walk away with two titles.

Callie Armstrong making her first appearance in a major matchup in a

premium live event. Then there's Daria, who's been fighting and fighting month

after month to showcase just how good she is. All three laying it on the line

here to kick off Heat Wave.

Callie's got the right mindset in this matchup.

Understanding that this could be the one shot to actually cash in on a moment

like this. They don't come around, like I say, too often. This could be it.

Oh, yeah.

Oh, that's it.

Sit down.

Power bombing. Claire.

Crucifix for history.

No. That was close. And now Wren trying to get that final wrench on Callie. Can

she turn Callie over? Can she force Callie to tap? Can she force Callie to

submit? Daria is down.

Callie with a switch.

Charging in. And there's some power. Counter. Inside cradle.

Oh. Don't poke that back.

And double spear.

From Zarya.

Cali's down.

Sinclair's hoisted.

Looking for that F5 counter for a moment. I mean, look, what a matchup.

Hell of a matchup right there. Oh, yeah.

Cali connection. Oh, yeah. Just took Sinclair out of the ring. Perfect

position right here, too thick. This, that moment.

Are we going to have it? Bam! Another power slam.

Cali's defeated Zarya in the past.

Don't admire you, Cali. Cali. Work and get this thing done.

Looking to strong arm the competition.

Hoist it up.

Zaria looking for the F5.

Roll through.

That's how she be here Tuesday.

Didn't do it on a Sunday.

Callie. Zaria.

Trying to see. Wren's not moving.

Double clothesline.

You just see the fatigue starting to set in at both these women. Everything right

there is on the line. Wren. Wren.

Here we go.

Did X find it? Bought Sinclair now. Into the submission.

The final wrench.

In her home state.

The Dallas native trying to make some history.

Rolling right through. Going around and around.

More pressure. More pressure there, Vic.

She's trying to grind down Zaria. There's nowhere for Zaria to go. Zaria's

trying her best. Fight going Zaria. Not giving up, Vic.

Referee's in great position right now. Is Zaria going to tap?

And there's Callie.

Pulling Zaria out.

Breaking the hold.

What's Sinclair doing?

Finding a way to pay the price.

Power slam on the outside.

Armstrong back in the ring.

And Armstrong just ate another spear.

Got caught.

Heat wave.

I mean, Ren Sinclair was in the driver's seat, so to speak, and then she got

caught. Callie thought everything was coming up for her, but then Daria,

waiting in the wing, has waited for this crowning achievement, has waited for

this moment, did what she said she would do, and that would be to unify these

two championships.

Here it is.

Zarya is the history maker.

Zarya is the new face of destruction in the women's division here in

NXT.

Here in Montana, you have a chance to walk out of Texas as the new NXT

champion. How do you feel heading into the Fatal 4-Way?

How do I feel, Sarah?

Like I belong.

I'm going to say this until there's no more air in my lungs. I'm a poor Puerto

Rican kid from the projects of New York City who had a dream and the drive to

chase it.

And here I am.

I've been counted out, looked over, and laughed at. And I took all of that and I

said, watch me work.

And you know, Sarah, that NXT title is just one three count away.

I'm walking into the toughest battle of my entire career against three guys

trying to stop my mission.

Tony's coming with his experience.

I know he won that title in the four-way before.

Waller's coming to pick his spots in Zilla.

He's coming at us like an animal. But this is where I thrive.

Back against the wall and head on a swivel. But you know what separates me

from them?

Is the fact that I'm ready and willing to go somewhere that they haven't.

I'm ready to go to hell and back.

Because I know at the end of the night, it's all going to be worth it when I'm

holding that title high above my head.

And when I strap it around my waist, that moment is going to be more than

just a win for me, my daughter, and everything that I represent.

It's going to be the moment that I silence everyone who said that I can't.

Let's get it.

Well, who will leave tonight?

NXT champion.

There you see the four.

Tony D'Angelo does not need to be factored in the decision to lose this

title. The Fatal 4-Way, the main event of Heat Wave.

But in moments, can Baylor and Smoke bring gold back?

To the Vanity Project.

NXT tag titles on the line in moments. Or will the champions be able to retain?

Ford's first defense of the day. Coming up in moments. Live next.

You want a moment? This is always a moment.

It's Sunday night's main event.

Atlanta, Labor Day weekend, Sunday, September 6th. Tickets on sale now.

This premium live event has been the starting spot for many, including NXT

champion Trick Williams, the prodigy Roxanne Prez, if you remember.

That's two years ago. And then, of course.

Braun Breaker.

The question I have is, we know what those three superstars have done. Can

Kehlani Jordan stand out here tonight? She competes for the NXT Women's

Championship later here at Heat Wave.

Ozari just backed up everything she had said. My question to you, Booker, can

this duo back up all the talk recently? Can they step up to the plate here at

HeatWare? Hey, man, don't sleep on these guys.

Bail the smoke.

Respect the young guys.

All right? All right? I just asked you a simple question. I got Michael Lockwood

out here as well.

Respect the young guys, man.

All right? You guys are very talented.

Well, their first reign as champions lasted over 160 days. One, two, three,

four. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four.

You know, Tavion Heights is fired up.

Walking into a premium live event as champion.

First is one half of the NXT Tag Team Champion,

Tavion Heights.

They already separated.

They didn't come out as a team.

Are you kidding me?

This guy turned into a prima donna.

Right? We talked about this.

And it's Pat T. Park.

He is the NXT North American Champion.

Miles Moore!

Did you always come out with Golda? Yes. Under the same banner? Yes.

I do

remember you in

a 7-11 at one point. But these two right now.

I do remember these two, though.

They are getting ready to defend the championship.

But for Miles Bourne, he also has to be thinking about a second match he has

later on tonight.

his North American championship.

And look, that's where I look at it and go, this is self-imposed pressure on

Miles Bourne, is it not? He's willing to put both titles on the line. He did it

for hype.

He wanted to defend these NXT Tag Team titles because he wants his friend to

succeed. He wants his friend to follow in the same footsteps.

Yeah, yeah, it's a lot of pressure.

And I get it. I mean, these guys' first major championship.

I mean, these guys go back to the NQCC.

I get all of that. But one day, one day, this kid, Miles Bourne, he's going to

wake up when life slaps him.

Like the face. So you personally disagree with Miles' decision. You

thought he should have just had the tag team titles and then not done the North

American title or done the North American title and not really worry

about Tavion Heights.

It ain't about friends. It ain't about buddies.

Or anything like that, Vic. It's about Jackson Championship.

Right now, Miles Bourne is living his best life. He's the NXT champion.

He ain't got time to think about anybody.

Got to cover him. Got to cover him. You know what I'm saying?

You know what I'm saying? I think this is quite the feel-good story that's

trying to get by Bourne.

Bourne and Height. They do.

A feel-good story, man.

It's about trying to make history.

It's about trying to get a Hall of Fame ring. If you understand what I'm saying.

Well, Tabion Hite, Miles Bourne, who came into the Performance Center with

each other, teamed together in the NQCC.

Obviously, it was Miles who was able to branch out on his own. He's always tried

to be there for Tabion and show Tabion the way as Hite makes the tag.

Miles coming back in, and look at that.

Textbook tag team work into that gut-wrenching duplex from Hite. You know

what I'm going to tell you right now?

Tabion Hite.

That's what he's doing his best work right there. When he's got you real

close to the body, where he can pick you up and do those big power moves.

That's what he's doing his best work.

Call a timeout.

Call a timeout. You got 10 seconds. You got 10 seconds.

10 seconds in and out of that minute. That's what it's all about.

Brad Baylor from behind. Baylor is the legal superstar for his team, and now

he's lighting up Miles Bourne. Right there to the base of the neck right

there. Right at the lower part of the cranium.

Man, see that?

Well, look, I'll go back to something Brad Baylor said on Tuesday. He said

that Bourne and Hite pretended to be friends. Into the cover, hook of a leg

and a kick out, and it sounds like you agree with Brad Baylor.

Look here, I don't agree. They are friends.

That's the problem for Miles.

At this young stage of his career, he's going to make mistakes.

That's what it's a lot like that right there. Did I tell you? Did I tell you I

called it? Well, Smoke's a legal superstar. Now, Baylor just tossed it

Bourne right out here.

Smoke's is legal.

And smoke's coming right over. And now focusing on the back.

Right into that steal goes Bourne.

Bourne and Heights, the 35th different team to win the NXT Tag Team title. And

right into the spine again.

Bourne is screaming in pain.

Heights is worried. Who's leaving tonight? Tag Team Champions.

champions retain.

Miles Bourne still with another matchup to come here tonight.

Saw Tavion scream for Miles. Miles though, a little worse for wear. Nice

gut wrench powerbomb to Smoke and right back into the ankle lock goes Tavion.

Tavion though is looking over right now trying to figure out if he can just

continue to twist.

That ankle so close, and almost that bottom rope with Brad Baylor. Heights is

looking around for Miles Bourne. Bourne took a lot of damage to his ribs,

though, over the last few minutes. He's got to be gasping for breath right now,

and so is Brad Baylor. It smokes!

Come on, ref!

There's bad news right there for Damian Heights and Miles Bourne.

A lot of energy was used right there by Tavion, I think.

A lot of energy.

And I start to think, is Bourne saving anything for later tonight in that North

American Championship?

Lockwood now.

That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it.

That's it.

Chop,

block, chopping down Tavion. And the numbers advantage paying dividends right

now for Vanity Project.

Brad Baylor these guys look at the cashier to become two-time NXT Tag Team

Champions These guys if they do that big they're gonna prove to everybody that

lock them deal you talk about that notch they're able to

Successfully beat the champions.

They would be the ninth team to hold the NXT tag titles more than once. This

could be, Booker, a massive night for the Vanity Project.

Feeling good. Not feeling too good. You see him limping after that ankle lock.

I can imagine if they're victorious, they're going to be maxing out all their

father's credit cards here in Edinburgh, Texas. Talk about it. This guy's going

to be the champs, man.

This guy's going to be making big money.

With these championships, they catch their ticket. They catch their ticket.

It's like winning a major.

You know what I mean?

It's like winning Augusta. You know what I mean? It's like going to Pebble Beach.

That's what it's like, man.

Well, again, just able to kick off this time with Tavion. Lockwood not very

happy. Miles Bourne has finally made his way back to his feet.

He's not out here right now. He's getting ready for his championship

match. You have to imagine Jackson Drake is watching it very closely.

I'll tell you something. Jackson Drake is probably back there steady.

Everything Miles Bourne is doing in this ring right now. Oh, wait a minute. Look

at that. Off the clothesline.

He was able to make the tag. It was a tag made. I just did. Back in comes

Miles Bourne. You didn't see it, but our official did.

And Brad Baylor just saw that drop kick. Big talk coming from Bourne. Bourne

right now turning up. Big power slam.

Picked him right back up. Dropped him again for good measure.

Bourne right now.

Coming in and is blocking out the pain with a neck breaker DDT combo.

Miles Bourne putting his team on his back here right now. He's cooking right

now. Double stop again to those injured ribs. Beautiful tag team. Is

Bourne jeopardized though right now? He's compromised right now, Vic. Big

time.

Maybe unable to counter for a moment. And then both men up and over.

And again, Miles picking up Brad Baylor. Counter. Roll through. Shoulders down.

Oh, man. That was slippery right there.

Young man, Baylor. Beautiful tag there, Bay.

Hitting that kitchen sink for a moment. Coming right back in. And this time that

kick succeeds.

And is this going to be enough to bring back the tag titles? Oh, what happened

there?

To kick out.

And you can hear Tavion screaming at his partner. He knows Miles Bourne.

Bourne is hurt right now, Book. I don't mean to start to jump to conclusions.

Miles having trouble breathing. He's having trouble getting back to his feet.

Miles Bourne, Tavion, and Heisman won those championships and they won them in

grand cash.

Could they have come into this match a little overconfident tonight? Well, the

champions do know that they can get the job done against the challengers. They

defeated the Vanity Project for the titles earlier this month.

As now the champions seem to get back into it. Double knees from the

challengers. Exactly what I'm talking about, Vic. All four men in the ring.

All four right now.

Trying to punch through that wall.

Trying to grab that brass ring. Trying to retain the tag titles of the

champions. Dropkick.

Powerbomb combo. Didn't get all of it, though, Vic.

Didn't get all of it. He certainly did not. I'll tell you something. I'm

looking at Miles Bourne and Tanya in height right now. These guys are

fatigued. They're fatigued right there, Vic. And I start thinking about Miles

Bourne. And later on tonight, remember, Miles Bourne still has to compete yet

again against Jackson Drake for the North American championship. Right now,

right now, we're in those deep waters.

We're in the dead zone, of course. It's tag team. Let's go.

Big moment now as a tag was made. Tabion Heights. I don't mean to sound like, oh,

it's got cradle.

I again don't see Bourne. I think Bourne right now is down on the far side of the

ring. And Tavion, as you said earlier, might have to do this by himself.

Tavion looking for a tag. There's no mile for him from behind. And not able

to put heights down.

Tavion really trying to fight through it. He just got caught with a meteor.

Tag was made. Brad Baylor now the legal superstar.

Look at the body language.

Look at the body language.

What a vanity project. Hold it.

Second. Double belly to back duplex by Tavion Heights.

He's talented.

He's very talented, bitch. Can't take that away from Tavion Heights. We're

saying Miles Bourne was putting his team on his back. It seems Tavion Heights

doing the same thing, but a tag was made. Brad Baylor didn't realize, well,

maybe he did, and he just caught Bourne with his own power slam. But look,

Bourne immediately goes to that midsection, goes to those ribs.

He's trying to stay down a little bit, trying to buy the time.

Smokes said, give me a tag. Baylor said, go to the top rope.

Looking for a little extra.

Tavion, all the way across the ring. Little two for one, belly to belly.

And you see Baylor holding his right wrist.

All four of these men beating up and beating down.

Right on the wrist area right there.

Look at this scene. It's all for the NXT Tag Team Championships. Miles Bourne

still to compete later tonight.

But all four men now slugging it out.

I feel bad for the official right now, Book.

Oh!

Tavion, look at that transition.

Tavion Heights, he certainly can be special.

Tavion's pulling out all the stops right now. He seems to be desperate a little

bit as well, Vic.

I got to say it.

Ford turned inside out.

Got right around on Baylor. Hit a German suplex. Baylor back up with a big knee.

Right under the jaw. Seems like a window open, but it closes just as quick. Into

the exit. Oh, here we go.

Into the cover.

And another.

Close call for the Challengers. We're in those deep waters right now, and I'm

wondering what the champions got to be thinking right now. You're in deep

waters right now, but for the first time, both champions are up, and there's

only one member of Vanity Project.

Oh, no!

Bourne just went into heights.

Bourne just went into the turnbuckle. Beautiful work, buddy.

Tag was made, and now the Challengers with Bourne.

Hit it and quit it.

Into the cover.

Hook of the leg.

Looking for a tag in this moment was Miles Bourne and then Bourne went face

-to-face with Tavion Heights. Heights was wiped out.

Vanity Project took full advantage of the situation.

And Vanity Project now the ninth team to hold those titles more than once.

And has the party only begun for the Vanity Project.

Because still to come, Jackson Drake, Miles Bourne, will compete for the North

American Championship.

That matchup's still to come here live in Texas.

At Heat Wave.

You start to wonder, there's no way Miles Bourne

is 100%.

This one not about championships. This one is personal. No more trash talk. No

more attack.

Who will beat their opponent into submission? Parker, Natty, submission

match next at Heat Wave.

The low-key legend, Natty. Someone who always seems to have her finger on the

pulse of NXT. She's always trying to stay up to date with who's down here so

she knows what to be ready for.

I came to NXT because I wanted to fight Jada Parker.

You see, I saw something in Jada that was so special.

Something I haven't seen in any woman in a very long time.

But I also saw something else.

Stop!

Wasted potential.

You've gotten soft.

Maddie, can we talk?

I'm Jada Noodle doing something for you. I don't care if it was your damn

birthday. We are talking. You've been here calling me soft at NXT.

It is my time now. Give me a contract and make me work the other year, Maddie.

You have a big-ass mouth. I just wanted to talk to you. Jada, I didn't realize

that calling you soft would hurt your feelings so much.

I think you're still not very inspired, am I? Oh, I don't buy any of your

acting. I feel right through all of it. Sharp shooter.

Natty forces Parker to tap.

You're fucked.

Parker and Natty brawling at the heart dungeon after weeks of turmoil between

these two.

At some point, something's got to give.

Natty, since you came to NXT, you've been trying to prove to me and everybody

that I'm exactly who you say I am. Don't sound like it to me.

I see straight through you.

You saw a woman on the come up and you tried to break me. You should be

thanking me with your ungrateful ass. Because when you want to become the

topic of discussion again, you came to the right person.

Sharp shooter locked in. I'm Maddie. Dia Hale just caught Maddie.

There's a Jada that I have been dying to see. And you know what? I don't want a

regular match with you, Jada. At Heat Wave, I want a submission match with

you.

If that's what you want, I promise you that's what you're going to get because

you may be the low-key legend, but at Heat Wave, I'm going to high-key wax

that ass.

Into submission tonight, Natty not coming to Heat Wave alone.

Jay's still right there, dog.

Natty's been doing it for years and still seems like he's done

stoppable things.

What time is it, Vic?

And

her

opponent, from Port St. Lucie, Florida, Jada Parker.

When you're talking about a submission matchup, obviously Natty will have the

advantage. We'll get into that more here.

In just a moment.

But for Jada Parker, she is not afraid to scrap. In this matchup, very simple.

There's no pinfall. There's no count out. The only way to win is to get your

opponent to tap out. To make your opponent quit. Who will get broken here

at Heat Wave?

And before we really get into this, do you see the wasted potential?

Like, oh, Natty sees in Parker.

Yeah, I don't see wasted potential. I see a whole lot of potential in Jada

Parker. But I'm going to tell you something.

Natty's doing this for a reason, Natty.

Natty knows.

Natty now on the outside. A rubber match of sorts between these two issues began.

The start of the summer have traded victories over that time. It all led to

this, the first submission match in NXT since gridlock match 2023.

And look, the first time these two competed against each other, you've got

to go back to the 2025 Royal Rumble.

And Jada entered 16, Natty entered 18. I mean, they were in there for just a few

moments, but Natty saw so much potential. And then you go to Evolution.

Jada eliminated Natty from Evolution before, so Natty has had her eyes on

Jada Parker for quite some time.

Look at Natty.

You may question Natty and what's the motive.

I'm going to tell you right now, sometimes somebody like Jada Parker,

they need that little extra push, that little pad on the back, that little

extra fight to bring it out of her. I get it. I understand where Natty's

coming from. All right.

There's a big suplex.

Shaking up the back of Natty. And now Jada Parker, who told me she remembers

what her uncle told her, to always bring the fight. Jada in control. Who is going

to tap?

at Heat Wave.

Trying to dig deeper with Parker who told me what her uncle told her after

she signed her WWE contract to succeed.

You gotta be bad, you gotta be bold, you gotta be wiser, you gotta be hard, you

gotta be tough, you gotta be stronger.

She's gonna need all that right now.

To be victorious here in Texas over someone like Natty. Look at that, using

the environment, that bottom rope right to the throat and book. It's all legal

because the only way to win is to make your opponent quit. Jada Parker, she's

improvising. I like that little move, but this I don't like. There again, Jada

Parker trying to slow the action down.

You're not going to get a victory like this. You're not going to tap Natty out

like this. Come on. Well, what Carmen Petrovich.

On the far side, bringing over Jeremy Marcus, the official. There's nothing

Jeremy can do in this juncture.

But Maddie just backing up.

All the way to the far side, and now Petrovic again, getting right back up,

yelling at the official. And now Nikita Lyons getting involved.

It's three on one, boy!

Hey, bro, you said there's no rules, right?

You're the one who just said that.

There are rules. Wait a minute. Did you just say that? I didn't say that. Well,

why are you documenting?

There's no rules.

There's no rules. Come on.

You just said it. Yeah, look at these two having a good laugh and a smile.

Top of the ramp of Berto

Garza.

Hold on.

Wait a minute, it's not a distraction.

I think Carmen Petrovic just went back to her family in AAA.

What the hell?

Nikita Lyon's now on the outside.

She's flustered with what's going on. Natty was distracted.

Jada tried to open the door and then just got chopped right back down to the

mat. And we know Natty has the obvious advantage in this stipulation.

She pitches earlier this week.

Natty's uncle, Brett, of course, along with Stone Cold, had their submission

match from WrestleMania 13 inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

There's not much Natty hasn't done in this industry. And now it looks like

Natty's just having fun.

Definitely bringing the pain to Jada Park. And Jada's in bad shape right now,

Vic. She's in bad, bad shape right now.

Well, you know Natty out here.

with her legacy on the line. It was 28 years ago today. Her uncle Owen competed

in a lion's den match. She's here in a submission match. And now Jada Parker

trying to get her fourth, fifth, and maybe sixth win in this match. Jada

hasn't gotten out of the gates, though. Got caught every time. She thinks she

has one up.

Natty just shuts it down quickly. Yeah, you can say that again. But, oh,

catching Natty now. And Jada's feeling it. And it was Parker who had some stiff

remarks this past Tuesday in regards to Natty. Saying Natty was worried. Natty

scared of all the up-and-coming talent.

Jada Parker doing this for not just herself, but some more women in the

locker room here in NXT.

Oh, there you go. There you go. See it.

Yeah. The key.

I still, I still, they still tie this man.

Oh, yes.

Looking on the NXT Universe in a little hypnotic counter. But again, no

pinfalls. It's all about submissions. Was looking for that anvil, Larry. One

more time. Counter Jada taking Maddie back down to the mat. It looks like

she's locked in. The rings of Saturn. In the center of the ring. The rings of

Saturn are locked in.

And Jada Parker has it cinched.

There's nowhere for Natty to go. Look at the vein in Natty's forehead.

Pulsating through. Trying to shift weight and able to counter. And Natty

able to negotiate her way free.

Natty is unbelievable.

She knows there's always a counter. And right now she's got that rear naked

locked in. Not only that, but also the body scissors really squeezing the air

out of the lungs of Jada Parker.

And if you can't breathe, you can't compete Jada now. But I don't know if

that's actually cinched in all the way. I think Jada's able to break the grip.

She doesn't have that body scissors quite locked in, but she's got an arm

bar. And maybe that's what it was for, was to get to that arm bar, trying to

hyperextend. Now can she break the whole natty?

Trying to break the grip of Jada Parker, who's able to roll through.

And now Parker overpowers Maddie.

One way to break the hold, isn't it? That's dead weight right there, too. So

at this stage, at this stage of the game, right there shows you.

Then Jada Parker still got a lot of power, but got caught. Got caught,

bitch. Got caught, got tripped up, and now an ankle lock cinched in. And yet

another submission.

And Natty focusing on that knee, which has been the focal point, which is

smart. Break down a body part in a submission match.

Natty is calling the cardio queen right now because she seems like she's just

cruising in this matchup right now. Yeah, cruising. She's not breathing

heavy at all. And there is Glock 10, man.

There is the sharp.

Shooter locked in. Jada Parker now.

We're really going to find out what Jada's made of. Right now, she can't.

She can't.

Jeremy Marcus in great position. Jada continuing to fight. Jada trying to get

over it. But a rope break won't help her. A rope break doesn't help.

Separation though, Vic. That's all it was.

Whoa. One way, again, able to crawl through to break it. Oh!

And Nikita, Theo!

Theo!

Parker's new BFF, new tag team partner.

She was part of AAA earlier today. She left the arena. She stayed here as

backup.

And now it's down to one-on-one book.

All of Natty's friends, as you would call them, from the dungeon, gone.

Sharpshooter again, second time, not going to happen. Jada fighting for her

life right now in this moment, trying to chop down Natty.

Took Natty down to the mat. Natty's body buckled. That left knee now.

Natty trying to take down Jada. This is turning into a fight. There it is again.

Natty one step ahead.

But Jada trying to fight out of it. Wow.

Hesitation from Natty. And that was a nasty gnarly landing to the floor. And

now for Jada Parker trying to get back into this fight.

You can hear Jada just saying, come on. Here we go.

And popping down now.

Chopping down the legacy.

Chopping down the boat.

Might not be 100%, but now looking to lock it in the sharpshooter.

Jada locking in the sharpshooter.

Oh, you can say that again.

There's no one here to save Natty. There's no one around to help Natty out.

Natty trying to get to that bottom rope, but again, a rope break doesn't matter.

There's no disqualifications. Jeremy Marcus there is only here to see someone

quit, someone tap, and will it be Natty to the sharpshooter?

That pain's got to be shooting through the body of Natty. Got to get some

separation, Natty. Got to get some separation.

Natty is screaming.

He's got to be excruciating right here, Nick.

It's Stitt trying to overpower Parker, trying to sit down on that lower back.

Natty, Natty.

Jada Parker!

Is that not the biggest statement victory in Parker's career?

Oh, crashing that glass ceiling right there for Jada Parker.

She knows, she knows you beat Nattie, you can beat anybody.

Not many have made a hard tap to the sharpshooter, but Jada Parker just made

Nattie quit. And throughout this, Jada had to overcome every hurdle.

Petrovic to Nikita Lyons. Thankfully, Sia Hale had not left the arena yet. Was

here for her friend as Jada Parker was able to battle back, fight back into

this matchup. And then a sight I never thought I would see ringside.

Natty tapped out to the sharpshooter. And the confidence is growing as Parker

proves once again she's not to be played with in NXT.

Forget the cake.

I just can't believe it. I didn't even get pinned, and I'm walking away with

nothing. Did I get too greedy? Did we take one too much? No, no. Look, no.

You did exactly what you were supposed to do. You didn't get pinned. You're

going to get Daria back, okay? Don't worry about it. I appreciate it. You

shouldn't be worried about me. You ought to worry about Kalani and how's the ear

doing. I know with the travel and the altitude and the pressure and, you know.

Look, I'm fine.

It's nothing I can't handle. Get some rest.

Get some ice.

And save me a piece of cake, okay?

The biggest.

And still,

and still. Gray, Jordan, next.

He's not good enough to beat me. You think this man's going to beat me? I'll

come over here and smack them guys in the Australian field fight. You locked

your mind.

There's not going to be a 12-round war. I promise you that.

He's not good enough.

He can say whatever he wants. I don't quit. I don't stay down on one knee.

Proven.

Post clock 10 from now. No, no. Crowns and a long song.

If it got to get done, it's done. So put it in the bag.

Run that. Run that.

Run that. Run that. Run that. Hey.

Come back inside.

Ringside. Vic Joseph alongside.

Booker T and Booker. I know you have felt the heat.

We got new tag team champions.

We do.

Congratulations.

Brad Faber. Ricky Stokes.

Two times.

About to have a unified champion in Zarya. There's still more championships

to be defended here tonight, including what's coming up in moments. Who walks

out NXT Women's Champion?

Is it Kendall Gray or is it Kalani Jordan?

The former WWE Evolved Women's Champion, the 2025 Iron Survivor, and

your NXT Women's Champion.

Gray right now trying to take the women's division to new heights.

I am the benchmark.

Kendall, she's the best in the middle of that square circle.

Face first goes the champion.

When I got injured, I could have taken time off. You are medically cleared as

tolerated, but Kendall, I got to warn you. If you keep taking hits, you could

suffer hearing loss or further balance issues.

You're playing with fire.

But that's not the champion that I am. Because I heat wave the targets on my

back. Look, Kendall, that target on your back.

Oh, Kalani, Kalani, Kalani.

You have been saying the same thing for months now.

It's time for Kalani to put her money... where her mouth is, and she better not

miss. Keep calling yourself the benchmark, because on Sunday, the

standout's gonna take your title and put your ass right back on the bench.

Kalani, I heat wave you're gonna find out that you just can't keep up with

Kendall.

Who will be triumphant in Texas?

I'm going to beat Kendall Gray.

Ken Gray!

Keep gold.

Defending this title is my priority.

Who will survive?

We've already said it tonight, but it is wild to think about.

This moment, this match, this opportunity, this is the first attempt

at the NXT Women's Championship in the career of Kalani Rose. It's a travesty.

It's a travesty of justice.

In every, and I mean every fifth of the word, bitch.

I'm talking about the first ever.

Women's North American champ.

You can't be right.

You can't be right.

Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. I'm talking about TNA knockout champion,

right? Right? Hey, this is the first time.

Somebody needs to talk to me and tell me why.

So you're telling me she didn't have to earn that? Somebody needs to talk to me.

Somebody needs to talk to me and make me understand.

What the hell?

So what do you say? What the hell you got to do? What the hell you got to do

for a title shot around here? So what about all the opportunities of being the

number one contender that she lost?

Not once, not twice, not three, not four, not five, not six. She couldn't

cross the line.

That's normally the way you do it, Dave. All right, well, then let me ask you

this. Did the champion...

Do the right thing by essentially gifting this opportunity to Kalani

Jordan. And she wants to prove that she's the best in that damn locker room.

You're the best. You beat the best. That makes you the best, right? That's what

it's all about. But this, this right here, Jim McRae, this could be the

biggest mistake he's made.

It hurts for 10 years in this business. I'm dead, man.

And you see the right ear is still taped. That goes back several weeks for

the champion.

Equilibrium still a little bit off. Doctors, though, have cleared her. You

did hear, though, that a doctor in the past has warned her that damage could be

severe, could be extensive.

I did for medical reasons. It's all the labor.

Anytime, anywhere, it can pitch in. Let's go up to our ring announcer, Mike

Rohn. The following contest scheduled for one fall is for

the NXT Women's Championship!

Introducing the challenger, from Boyden Beach, Florida, Kalani Joy!

from Las Vegas, Nevada.

She is the NXT Women's Champion, Kendall Gray!

Oh, the champion has the game face on. You saw it come as soon as she walked

through the curtain, walked down the aisle.

And right now, the look on both faces as we're about to get this one started for

the NXT Women's Championship.

Before it officially begins, though, how even are both competitors?

Very, very evenly matched. I mean, just from two different backgrounds, I mean,

you've got to understand, Kim Degrees is the killer on the mat.

But you've got to understand, somebody like Kalani Jordan, she's no pushover by

no stretch of the imagination.

A little bit of a feeling out press early on it. You talk about being on the

mat three-time NAIA national champion.

How quickly, how quickly.

Has Kendall Gray exceeded expectations here in NXT? It's been a meteoric rise

for Kendall Gray. But that's the thing, Vic. You know, champions, champions.

Iron, sharp as iron. You heard the old saying, right? I certainly have. And

look, Kendall Gray, also the 2025 Iron Survivor, former women's champion, the

current women's champion in NXT. But what a dropkick by Kalani. And we talk

about looks.

Look on the face of the challenger, who's ultra-focused here tonight, able

to break away, and then that kick connected right to the jaw, and now an

acai muscle from the apron to the floor.

Beautiful work.

I'll tell you something.

The line is looking very, very focused here tonight, Vic.

She certainly is, and this is the opportunity that Kalani has been looking

for. Gray, much like management, is done hearing the complaining, though, of

Kalani Jordan. Jordan, who lost nine number one contendership matches for the

women's championship, two of which came to the hands of Kendall Gray, has Gray

trying to turn things around on the outside.

Looks like Kendall, though, trying to be a little bit more methodical about her

game plan tonight. Definitely got to have that approach in a matchup like

this. You just can't go in there and just throw everything.

You can easily run into something like that right there from Kalani Jordan.

Look at the balance. Look at the balance from Jordan.

Well, it's that gymnastics background right now. Nice arm drag.

Turning right back around and now an arm drag in her own right. Kendall Gray.

Take a little break.

Take a little break there.

I don't know if it's because we've been talking about the ear so much, the

equilibrium of them, but Kendall Gray just seems to be a little half-step

slower here in this matchup. Both women, though, have the same mindset.

Both women down. Well, now both women back up. We're at a stalemate with the

NXT Women's Championship hanging in the balance.

I get it.

Kendall Gray trying to fight through here against Kalani Jordan. It's all

about the NXT Women's Championship.

It hangs in the balance between these two.

Kendall, who has been a fighting champion, Kalani has never had an

opportunity at this championship.

In her first attempt at the Women's North American title book, Kalani won

it. Her first attempt at the TNA Knockouts Championship, she won it.

I do ask.

Did she lose a little bit of a step after she lost that knockout title in

TNA? Did she think she was better than she was? It's another high impact move

into another cover and another kick out. I don't think she lost a step at all.

You know, it's a damn, it's a crying shame. You got to go to another country.

You got to relocate.

to get a title shot instead of right here at home.

Is it me? Am I the only one who see a problem with that? Come on, Vic.

Kalani has done it at the highest level and trying to prove it once again here

tonight. And now he's focusing on that ear, on that head region.

Kendall Gray, and we know the bullseye on the body that we've talked about.

Look at that leg drop right to the jaw, right to the ear as well. And you start

to wonder when it kicks in. When that equilibrium. Look here. Let me tell you

something. Glad he joined. She knows.

You've got to put a lot of pressure on Kendall Gray and on the breaker.

Another cover.

Another count. Another kick out. Big shot.

Big shot there by the.

The lovely little, let me tell you something. Kalani Jordan, she is so

talented in so many different ways. I just don't think she gets enough credit,

Vic. Well, Papa Shango just blocked half of that shoulder breaker, but a little

eat defeat as well. And again, Jordan came in with a game plan.

Beautiful work, Vic. Jordan knows exactly what she wanted to do in this

matchup, but just got caught and tossed to the outside and out for the champion.

Kendall Gray has to use this time to maybe recruit. Here we go. Here we go.

If those ropes weren't there, I don't think Kendall Gray would be standing

right now. Kendall Gray, like I say.

Kendall Gray almost slipped. He was able to hit that moonsault into the cover.

And Derek Sanders was a half second behind to get into that cover. He was

shocked, too. Kendall Gray, to pull something off like that right there,

Vic, it lets you know that she's no quitter.

She's going to fight to the bitter end, but right now she's feeling it, Vic.

The referee there is checking on the champion. As you just mentioned, the

champion will not quit. There is no quit in Kendall Gray.

Kalani Jordan right now trying to pull herself up. And look, for Jordan, she

called out a lot of stars and even NXT's past.

in NXT's future, and even NXT's presence saying it only took her eight months to

stand out. She didn't need The Independent.

She didn't need Evolve. She doesn't have the last name, and she didn't need to go

to AAA to prove her point that she has been the best.

eight months into this business, and that's what she has on her shoulder

tonight. Everything you just did right there, nothing but facts, right? That's

what she said. But you just spit them, right? That's facts, though, right? It's

hard to argue with. Everything she said, that's truth, right? Yep. So come on.

But is it not true she lost nine number one contenders matches? You know, it's

about those positions. Like I say, normally you don't work your way up the

rankings like this.

It's your one lost record normally the way it works. Come on, man.

You know that. You know that. The champion trying to add to her winning

record here at Heat Wave.

NXT Women's Championship right now, and there's that. Oh, shooting right from

the hip with a nice overhead toss.

Kalani right now getting caught in the wheelhouse of Kendall Gray. Kendall Gray

is sucking it up right now, Vic.

She's sucking it up. Oh, looking for that German suplex counter for a moment.

Kalani trying to counter in her own right. Goes over, lands on her feet. Big

kick to the midsection.

Turning over the challenger for a moment. And now looking for that Tornado

DDT. Countered into a Northern Lights suplex with a bridge and a kick out.

That right shoulder book just coming off the mat. Oh, hammer fist to the ear.

Floated over, maintained control of digits.

Blasted with a hammer fist to the ear, Vic.

I'm loving it. This is legal, obviously.

We talk about the bullseye on the body. Not like a knee pad or anything like

that. By anything you say, but any means necessary. What it's all about is what

it's all about, Vic.

Oh! What was that?

Great cut, Jordan, and it still wasn't enough.

Half second away. That was so quick, Vic. I didn't even see it coming. Take

another look at it, boy. What the hell? I mean, just, wow!

That's in any part of the body, knowing the angles to execute that slam.

That was very unique right there by Kendall Gray. Like I say, you can't

sleep on her, Vic. Kendall was looking for shades of gray and got countered.

And now some high-impact offense once again. And now look who is laid out. Oh,

baby. All the way to the tippy-top here in Texas.

450 didn't connect. That was close.

And I don't know if Kalani just turned her ankle. Did you see how close she was

to landing on Kendall?

So close, but right there, bad position.

And Dre realized it, and Dre's on the attack.

Into that ankle lock.

She's got it locked in.

She had it locked in for a moment.

But Gray put on the brakes. Gray did not go into that top turnbuckle. She was

able to hold for a moment. And now she's all the way up.

Oh, wow.

Bad positioning.

And a nasty landing right in front of us.

Side of the face.

Right here first into our table.

You see how far that fall was, Book?

I'll tell you something. They're looking.

Kalani Jordan's eyes tell me she's willing to go all out. And she did this

to stand out. One of a kind to become champ.

Gray kicked out. How the hell did Kendall Gray kick out? After all she

just went through, Kalani's beside herself.

Who's walking out?

Championship is hanging in the balance here at Heat Wave.

position for both women as the NXT Women's Championship is on the line here

at Heat Wave.

Kendall, is she looking for a belly to back from the top?

What? A reverse Spanish fly from Kendall Gray.

How the hell did she pull that off, boy? I don't know, but she took just as much

of it, Vic.

She took just as much of the product right there.

That was just before the last break. A nasty landing. Check it out, Vic. But

you're right, Book.

Both women face first from the top.

They're throwing all gosh into the wind right there, Vic.

That's doing everything but the kitchen seat right there, Victor.

is walking out NXT Women's Champion. We saw a championship unified to kick off

tonight. Pump kick right to the side of the head once again.

We saw new tag team champions.

Kalani, though, got caught. Oh, and a German suplex to the floor.

That'd be the end of the challenger.

What a match right here, Vic.

The ladies are putting on a mad classic here tonight, Vic. It's going to be a

main event at any premium live event around the world. Anywhere in the world,

Vic.

Kendall for a moment. Ooh, just got taken out.

Once again, Kalani showing you how smart she is, how much she has grown as a

competitor. Using that bottom runner.

Springboard. Hit that cutter.

Perfectly into the cover. Big fucking leg and another kick out.

That was a good kick out right there, too, by Kendall Gray. Let them go. She's

still got a lot. Let them pay.

Got all of it, too, Vic.

We certainly did. And look, you're taking a look at two of the best women

in the world competing for the NXT Women's Championship. And the one in

control right now made a bold statement that she was the most athletic woman

right now in all of WWE.

Yeah, but it's the multitude of things that could take you to the top. And

right now, Kalani Jordan is proving that she's championship material.

Beautiful form.

Springboard. Here we go.

Now showing you the power on display.

Looking for a powerbomb. Gray, though.

Couple of rights. Looking for a hurricanrana. Taking over the

challenger. Sits in the left center of the ring. And another close call. But

back up with a super kick.

With momentum on that super kick as well. A lot of dork in the hips, Vic.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. I don't necessarily know. Oh, what a counter.

It's Beacon of Witch into a gut wrench, into a knee.

Tarkov on innovative offense to retain.

No.

Wow. Take another look at that

impact. I mean, Booker, that was on the button.

go to sleep right there by Kendall Gray. You can tell she's been training and

working on this moment for this moment right here tonight, Vic.

Let's see Gray's little roll through, trying to break the grip right now,

trying to extend that left arm, looking for the submission, shifting weight

though with Kalani. Kalani right back to a vertical base, having to relinquish

the hold to continue this match with Gray. Gray charging in, maybe looking

for a wheelbarrow. Got caught through first!

to a German in her own right. Beautiful hot shot to a German. Kalani, and look

at Kendall.

Kendall answers back with a German suplex.

These two are showing you what it means to be the women's champion here in NXT.

Nice exchange between the two.

You call it that hot shot German.

Kalani thought she was in cruise control. Kendall popped right up and

delivered one in her own right.

Kalani ran into that last shot, Vic.

She ran into it, that momentum clash.

She's feeling it, man.

Certainly is, and look, we're talking about adrenaline. It'll make a superstar

do crazy things. And now Gray trying to counter everything she can. Finally able

to catch Kalani in that ankle lock. And remember earlier in the matchup, when

Kalani landed to turn out of that 450, she may have twinked that ankle.

Michael Gray right there is in perfect position. Oh, whoa.

What a counter by Kalani.

And Kalani now turning right around and look at Gray. And again, so much taken

out of Kendall Gray. That equilibrium.

Oh! That fatigue right there is what that is. I've seen it many, many times.

Drop zone.

Kalani, right now, that door is open for 50. Got all of it.

That's it.

No, it is not.

And now it seems desperation.

is sinking in to the challenger.

Off a momentary flip from Kendall that Gold Kalani needed, but she needed

another half second to become champion.

She stayed in her case, but that was a clean kick out. That was a clean kick

out right there. Kimberly Gray got up before that three count was made, and

you got to give her a lot of credit, man.

Shades of gray!

Shades of gray out of nowhere!

You just felt the air rush, bam, right out of the arena when Kalani did the

unthinkable, kicking out of the shades of gray.

I mean, I asked you this earlier about Kalani. I'll say the same thing now as

we get an inside cradle from the challenger to the champion and another

kick out. These two women have lit up the other with their best shot, crucifix

kick out, back into the ankle lock. Booker, what is it going to take?

Where the mindset is of both ladies because, I mean, they've thrown

everything at each other thus far.

I mean, come on, man.

Gray with that ankle lock again since in. He almost to that bottom rope and

then dragged right back to the middle. And now rolling through. Pinnock

predicament. Shoulders down. Shifting weight. Shoulders out of the challenger.

Another kick out.

And Gray again right into another submission.

She's got it. She broke the hold for a moment. And oh, a stop.

Right to that injured ear.

Right to that bruised body part. And turn it around.

Big kick.

Kalani now.

Lighting up Kendall.

And that knee may have been the knockout blow.

What a combination right there by Kalani Jordan.

I don't know where Gray is getting this from. As Gray pulling herself back up.

Having trouble coming to her feet. Maybe she's seeing a couple different Kalani's

right now. But off the elbow the momentum.

Carried the champion to the outside.

I don't know what happened right there, but stealing a good ball. Oh!

Wow!

That was exposed steal!

That was exposed steal!

One of a kind!

Wasn't exposed, as I want to go back to this stop first and foremost to the jaw

to the throat of the champion. But look, that turnbuckle was exposed.

That part of the steel was out, and Bray bounced right off of it, injured ear

first. And in the end, it is Kalani Jordan who now...

to stand out officially in the NXT women's division, our new women's

champion.

But still to come, this man, the main one, getting ready for our main event,

State Award four-way for the NXT title here at Heat Wave.

Key Wave is live here in Edinburgh, Texas in the Burt Ogden Arena. But here

to remind you that Cody Rhodes' first ever Ghost Rite is here. The 400%

American Nightmare is limited to just 111 figures. Bidding ends tonight.

So make sure to place your bid before it's gone. Bid now at GhostRite.com.

And there is Grayson Waller, her return to NXT with one goal to capture the NXT

Championship. Sarah Schreiber standing by with our general manager, Robert

Stone.

Yeah,

I mean, Sarah, we have two new champions, and after a wild triple

threat match, Zaria is now a unified champion.

And what about that submission match between Jada Parker and Maddie? What a

match it was, and I'll say this.

Natty lost the match, but she got what she wanted. She brought the best out of

Jada, and what a performance by Ms. Parker.

But we still have two more title matches to go. Yes, we do. And, I mean, thinking

about the main event, NXT Championship, fatal four-way match, honestly, it gives

me goosebumps.

In just a few minutes, we'll see if Miles Bourne still has gas in the tank

after that tag title match.

Yeah, time will tell for Miles.

Always has a great performance.

But the tag team division in the next few weeks, we got new champions.

I've been working on a few things. Stay tuned.

Is there anything else you want to share with us, Mr. Stone?

Actually, there is.

I'm proud to announce the next NXT PLE is going to be Halloween Havoc. And for

the first time ever, it is going to be on Halloween night, live Saturday,

October 31st, on the CW, which means this Tuesday starts the road to

Halloween Havoc. And that is set in stone. So exciting. But we still have

two more matches tonight. Thank you so much for your time. Always.

I mean, what an announcement. The spookiest night of the year is back.

Halloween Havoc. Speaking of scary, how about the most sinister superstar in NXT

recently making his return?

can prove to lack judgment just

because you did some research on the internet doesn't mean you

understand the mystery of the myth you guys know that myth the myth that naraku

likes i just found out that the poison fog comes in different colors and these

colors apparently started in texas your carrier city has drawn you into an

unknown world you'll regret wandering into.

No bit of knowledge can prepare you for when the toxins attack your

eye. What did we just witness?

Naraku sprayed the poison mist?

Blind Shiloh Hill?

Shallow, you have felt the power of the red mist.

But I left the room for more pain.

This Tuesday, I will show the world why you will live in darkness.

That's not how I expected that to go.

You're telling me?

I went from being on top of the world with my dog...

to right back at the starting line.

My first title, gone.

Just like that.

I know how much it meant to you, T. I probably shouldn't have got it. No,

we're not going to do that, Miles. It'll only make you smile.

We can't change it.

It's in the past now.

We'll get a chance to get him back again.

Yeah, I know.

But like you told me, one match at a time.

We got to do whatever it takes to keep that North American title around your

waist.

Yeah, you're right.

Couldn't let one loss turn into two, huh?

Yeah, T, you will be a champion again.

Yeah, I know.

And I also know that you're going to be my brother for life.

That, that'll never change.

Now you go out there and even the school's VP.

NXT North American title next.

To the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

And then, the celebration continues in Ciudad de México.

This is Lucha Libre at its best.

¡Nos vemos en Triple Manía!

The Heat Wave.

Oh, there's Jackson's break.

Just to maybe join his Vanity Project brothers.

in wearing gold as he leaves Texas.

NXT Heat Wave is presented by NHTSA. Whether you get pulled over or get into

a crash, Drinking and driving will change your whole world.

Drive sober or get pulled over.

Well, no doubt this group is riding high. Beat Born and Heights earlier,

winning that tag team championship yet again.

And they're already looking like they're ready to go out on the town.

Champagne wishes to be our dream tonight.

I don't know what I feel about Brad Baylor's flip-flop story, but here

comes. the North American champion.

And how will what happened earlier, in your opinion, affect Bourne's mindset? I

understand what we just heard him say to KB on ice. But from someone like

yourself who has won countless championships, what do you think from

the back of this man's mind? My point right now is questioning himself, Vic.

He's asking those tough questions like, why the hell did I put myself in this

position?

Let me tell you something.

He's not in a good place right now. There's no way he could be.

For the second time tonight, Miles Bourne will compete in a championship

matchup.

Let's go up to our ring announcer, Mike Rome.

The following contest scheduled for one fall is for the NXT North

American Champs.

Introducing the challenger, weighing in at 188 pounds, representing the Vanity

Project, Jackson Drake!

And his opponent, weighing in at 220 pounds, he is the NXT

North American Champion,

Already mentioned it once. I do want to bring it up again because we did see

Tavion Heights trying to keep his friend, his partner, focused, calm, I

guess are the words that come to mind.

But it has to be nerve-wracking right now if you are Miles Bourne. You arrive

tonight with two championships.

Possibly you're going to be leaving with nuts. Look here.

I don't know what he was thinking. I mean, being tag team champion as well as

the NXT champion, there's going to come a time when you put yourself in a bad

position. And I always say, you put yourself in a position, something can

happen. It will.

As they just said moments ago, can't let one loss turn into two. But for Miles

Bourne, not at 100%. We saw Vanity Project do a lot of work focusing on the

back, the rib, the sternum area of Miles during that tag team matchup earlier

tonight. It looked at some point Miles was having trouble even trying to

breathe in that matchup, but just delivered a big back body drop. Now

coming right back in here on the birthday boy, Jackson Drake.

I was born right now. He's a little old. Some big shots.

But I'm looking at the body language of Miles Bourne. What are you seeing?

It's not looking good to me right now. I mean, he's not looking confident at all

right now. Well, Booker, you out of anyone, you know what Miles is going

through. How he had to prepare coming into tonight. You yourself have competed

twice in one night before. Think back to Bash in the Beach 2000.

It's not a good thing, Vic. It's not a good thing. You're going to push

yourself to the limit. And the thing is, I... Question, I wonder, could Miles

Boyd have kicked out earlier in that tag match? That's my question.

Well, we were questioning if he was saving anything, if there was going to

be anything left in the tank as Jackson Drake looking over at that championship.

Could Miles Boyd bail out in that tag match? I don't think he would. That's a

question as well. I don't think he would, not towards Tavion. Somebody

holds it, and there it is, hype.

Somebody holds in high regard.

Well, why are they out here then? Why is the Russ Bandy Project out here, Booker?

KD on his every right if Brad Baylor and Smokes are out here with Lockwood. You

guys are contracted to be out here, Vic. You know that for a fact?

What, did you write the paperwork for him? I doubt it. I think you're just

saying it to say it. Is Jackson Drake in the ring right now, front face locked,

trying to get Bourne down, maybe looking for a suplex countered.

Bourne, we saw this earlier, too.

It's countered, though, and Jackson Drake, I think he picked up on something

earlier in that tag match. He's 23 years old. He's got a lot of talent. I think

he's a prodigy, and he's looking to cash in on his first NXT, his first major

championship tonight.

Well, Jackson Drake, victorious. He'd be the youngest North American champion

ever, but both men down, both men hurt here at Heat Wave.

This is our fourth championship contest here at Heat Wave. It's the second match

for Miles Bourne here this afternoon in Texas.

And he's taking it to the third member of Vanity Project. Off that power slam.

Dropping Jackson Drake back into the mat. To retain the North American title

with Tavion looking on. A near fall in this match.

Osborne just dumped a lot of energy there with that huge three.

Three-punch combination, but he did get the job done, Vic. I think something

else we haven't really talked about is how difficult is it to move from

competing. Whoa, looking for the board again.

Countered by Jackson Drake. How difficult is it to go from competing in

a tag team match to a single bout just an hour later? It's a whole different

strategy. Emotions come into play as well because not only did you compete,

but you lost. You lost the tag team championship. Oh, not again for Miles

tonight. And Miles.

Looks like there. Look at this. Cutter center of the ring.

Jackson Drake got all of it. You almost just saw the fight and the spirit leave

the spot of Miles Bourne.

Jackson Drake is just softening up Miles Bourne. I mean, right now, he's

there for the taking. Just one big shot. That's all he needs, Vic. He will land

on his feet. Bourne went to the outside. It's dangerous territory.

That is. What a shot.

Born just took from Jackson Drake, but Drake knows he's got to get Miles Bourne

back into the ring. It's the only place he can win this championship, and let's

not kid ourselves.

Jackson Drake knows how to win the big one. He's the first ever Evolve men's

champion and held that title for nearly 300 days.

450, though, had to roll through.

Popped right back up, and look, Jackson Drake has not just won. He's two steps

ahead of Miles Bourne.

Not enough and look Vanity Project along with Lockwood right here in front of us

beside themselves. They know just how close Jackson Drake is, but Tavion knows

just how to fire up his partner, fire up his friend. Miles Vaughn right now for

that first first bout out in that tag team match, his lungs had to be burning.

right now. Well, I don't disagree with you. He's still fighting big. And that

goes back to Jack Drake trying to expose what Bourne went through earlier, the

ribs and the sternum. And he's been focusing on that for the last few

minutes, but nothing can save him. Off of one, make it two.

Powerbombs from Bourne. Into the cover to retain another near fall.

And for Miles Bourne, you talk about a rib injury, you talk about a sternum

injury. It takes a lot out of him just to be able to hoist up Jackson Drake. A

lot of energy being used by Miles Bourne, but he has to do it.

That's that championship grit right there coming out of the young man, Vic.

Shot to the sternum, though, by Jackson Drake. Miles, like a machine, continuing

to press on. Knee under the jaw.

Jackson Drake now got caught with another dropkick. And, oh, what a

landing. Another dropkick. That's four dropkicks.

In this matchup here tonight, Vic.

On Myles Bourne. Looking to fly.

Right here. Almost into our laps.

In Myles now.

Doesn't give a damn about what he went through. Just dropped Smokes.

Smokes trying to run some interference. He's trying to get disqualified, Vic.

Oh. And Lockwood.

Tavion realizing it. Look at Michael Lockwood. What is a blue Howard back?

Impressive doesn't even begin to describe what we just saw. As Bourne on

the other side is down right in front of us. Brad just got taken out by Tavion

Heights. All hell breaking loose. Jeremy Marcus didn't see Lockwood right here in

front of us. Bourne is down.

Drake is perched. 450 connects.

He got all of it. He gets into the cover.

from Miles Bourne.

Lockwood out here in front of us.

Smokes running interference.

Brad Baylor distracted the official. How many more needed to be out here to

defeat Miles Bourne? But this was impressive.

Michael Lockwood in one single swoop changed the complexion of

this match and changed the career.

got to give it up to Miles Bourne. I mean, hats off.

I don't know if that was, I mean, that's out of frustration.

I get that you're jealous of Showtime Cam Hendricks, but damn, dude, it's now

an unhealthy obsession.

It's not my fault you don't have more star charisma, star power, or star

presence than you.

You're an everyman, and that's a good little spot for you. You can relate to

every single member in the WWE universe, but Cam Hendricks, Cam Hendricks is not

relatable. I'm not an everyman.

I'm the star that people pay to come see.

And I should be strapped with championships right now.

But because of you, I'm not.

You try to end my career.

But unlike a normal man, I bounce back the only way showtime can.

So I'm going to keep a level with you, Cudi. I'm tired of you weighing me down

or trying to prevent me from reaching the top of NXT.

I'm way too good to not be up here.

I beat you before.

And Tuesday?

I'm going to do it again.

I'm about to take that rocket that you think should be strapped to your back,

Mason, rip it off, and put it on mine. I'm about to take off.

Because it's lifetime action.

Well, all eyes will be watching our main event. Tony D'Angelo has never backed

down from a challenge.

Can he retain his NXT championship in the main event of Heat Wave?

I think NXT UK was a special time because it became kind of like a

training camp.

What really helped me there was learning how to take all my skills and apply it

into the WWE.

The one standing tall is Gunther. For me, the mat is sacred.

Unbeatable, unstoppable.

The good thing about NXT UK was I got a lot of.

space there and freedom to be myself.

Being the champion and carry that show was definitely a big challenge.

The ring general is the longest reigning NXT United Kingdom champion of all

time. NXT UK and NXT in the US, that was the perfect step in between, I think, in

the indies and between the main rows.

I feel like for my career, it was amazing to retire those three old

yellows. Yeah, nobody can ever take it away from me. Even the guy that's

retired, Goldberg.

He just died.

And most importantly, John Cena.

When you step in the ring with the career killer, your career and legacy

dies.

NXT prepared me well for everything I'm doing right now.

Very thankful for that.

We've heard from both these competitors, and after an unprovoked attack, Shiloh

Hill looks for payback against Naraku, who will emerge victorious Tuesday on

NXT.

Also, this Tuesday, Mason Rook finally gets his hands on Dan Hendricks. These

two go one-on-one live this Tuesday on NXT.

After a victory tonight, you can only imagine what the new champion is going

to have to say, that being Kalani Jordan, but we also have Pia Hale and

Nikita Lyons. this tuesday going one-on-one a lot of women's action that

women's division really starting to build up booker can't wait to get to

tuesday here on the cw and then at tag team action we got new tag team

champions as well so we got to start finding maybe some future contenders on

nxt which team will rise the occasion which team will step up we're gonna find

out tuesday on nxt

Well, we've talked about tonight and what a night it has been. New champions

all evening long. We already talked about Kalani. What about Jackson Drake?

We also had Jada Parker forcing Natty to tap out to the sharp shooter. With that

being said, does the trend continue in our main event for the NXT championship?

It's now time to find out who is headed to Heat Wave.

The winner, of course, faces our NXT champion, Tony D'Angelo, who will be the

number one contender for the NXT championship.

Is it Batman, Cruz Montana?

I came here to NXT with one mission in mind, and I wanted to prove that I had

what it takes to be amongst the greatest in the WWE.

Or is it the arrogant Ossie making his return to NXT, Grayson Waller?

That title represents the future of the industry.

This men's division has been for the taking for months, and none of you have

done a thing about it.

I'm here to take the NXT title.

These are two major players, man, and they want their championship.

I came in and I made a legendary flag.

Because Zilla fought to win from being the number one free agent to being the

number one contender for the NXT championship.

In this contract right here at State, that Zilla's first NXT match is an NXT

title match.

So, boys.

To fill a spot.

I'm here to take a spot.

And that spot is NXT champion.

The world is going to be talking about one man and one thing. And that is

Grayson Waller conquering his demon and becoming NXT champion.

It don't matter to me. They all can get it. And he way, when I'm done with him,

they're going to know why they call me the main one.

They're only concerned with this.

because of what it can potentially do for their careers. They got their

reasons, and I got mine.

But, fellas, I beat three men to win this title, and I'll beat the three of

you to keep it. Four men, one title. Can Tony D'Angelo survive this heat wave?

The following contest is your main event.

And it is a fatal four-way match for the...

This is a man who carries his father's legacy with him. Wherever he goes, the

late Umaga, whom you were close with.

Young man got big shoes to fill, Vic.

But look at the composure, look at the posture.

He's ready for this moment.

First NXT match.

And it's for the NXT Championship.

You've got to love it, man. The final boss, The Rock, even showing support to

Zilla on IG this week.

He's ready for this moment, man.

Waiting. And it has been for about three years now, Vic.

Three years preparation is the only luck you're ever gonna have.

Rumble, young man, rumble.

emotion that we just felt with the arrival of Zillow Fox 2 to obviously the

wet blanket of Grayson Waller.

You like, he hasn't been biting his tongue, don't you? That he came back to

NXT, that he called out the entire locker room. Let me tell you

something. For this man right here, Grayson Waller, is fake or fuss, man.

Let me tell you something.

Anything less than walking out of here, NXT champion is a failure to this man

right here, Frank DeMarco.

Trust me on that, man.

You got to feel the moment right now, Book.

You got to feel for Cruz Montana.

Specifically, Booker, for his journey. Like he has said, he was never

supposed to be here. Cruz Montana said he wants the world

and everything in it, King Cole.

Oh, Dan.

Cruz Montana.

He's talking about a guy who's always been in moments.

We're talking about a guy who's not going to get rattled in situations.

We're talking about a guy who's pretty much seen it all.

We're talking about Mo Donna.

Former two-time TNA World Champion. And if you go back to his first reign,

Booker, you like to talk about World Championships with Kalani Jordan.

Cruz Montana had to defeat Trick Williams.

To earn that first TNA World title.

He had to do more than that. He had to represent for a whole company.

He had to put the company on his back.

They take it back to the promised land, dog.

But, Booker, we know that the odds are not in the favor of the champion.

He does not need to be factored in the decision to lose the championship.

And as Cruz Montana pointed out earlier, Tony D'Angelo won this

championship in a fatal four-way. He knows exactly the dangers

he's walking into.

Yeah, man, the one quote that comes to mind, I watch Tony D.

He's looking at all the people, the one quote is, I've never seen so few owe so

much to so many.

I'm talking about Tony D. I'm not talking about just the people.

I'm talking about himself, Nick. He had to represent tonight that time.

Oh, damn, man. This is the main event of our premium live event, Heat Wave Live

in Texas.

Let's get ready to go up to our ring announcers.

Mike Rome. Well, Mike Rome getting the hell out of that. I don't blame him

because, look, all four men done waiting on the outside.

They're getting ready to get on the inside.

It's all about the NXT Championship.

Noted qualification.

First to gain pinfall submission.

Leans with the NXT title.

And here we go. There wasn't even a damn announcement.

We don't want to wait. We want to fight. This is what NXT is all about. It's not

all about the championship thing. It's about somebody walking out.

with that championship on. Can the champion retain?

Zilla fired up along with everyone here in Texas. And I want to ask you, is

Zilla's last name more of a blessing or a curse?

Like I said, the kid got big shoes to fill. They said the same thing about

Randy Orton. They said the same thing about Cody Rhodes. And both of those

guys, look at them now.

Oh, yeah.

Oh, yeah.

Zilla fired up. This is debut in his contract. He had an automatic

championship match. And what quite the moment we got here now.

Zilla. D'Angelo.

Face to face.

And D'Angelo quickly looking for that German duplex. Zilla putting the stop

on. Putting it right back in. Ran right through Tony Diaz. And then got in time.

With a spine rattling spine buster. But there's Montana.

He's in now in the fray.

Bruce Montana believes he should already be the number one contender. You date

back to TNA. This is Montana's 13th consecutive televised main event. He is

no stranger to the bright lights, and Waller was a bystander on the outside

and just got caught. I like that, though. Tony D throwing all cars to the

wind. Tonight, he's got to prove himself, bitch. He's a champ, but he's

still got a lot to prove.

D'Angelo knows the dangers of a four-way, and now Montana.

Godzilla came over to continue the fight. Fields wiped out. Look who's

standing tall. Who's leaving with the NXT title?

Montana.

Bruce Montana said he isn't here to earn his place. He's here to take it. But he

just got dropped face first by Grayson Waller, a man who still lives.

For that viral moment. As he's quickly charged to the outside.

To drop D'Angelo. And now.

And Zilla just tastes the steel. Look who's standing.

Racing Waller feels like he didn't live up to his full potential.

His first NXT run. That's why he's back Vic. He's back to prove not to the fans

or anybody like that. But to himself.

That he is championship worthy man.

Label reverse Montana for a moment.

Cruz goes up, goes over. Waller rolls through. Big kick. Right to the face of

Cruz Montana.

Very poised, very composed at this stage of this matchup, Vic.

And Waller mocking Cruz for a moment and now just stomping through the body of

Cruz Montana.

Kind of wonder if Gil Batu hit those steps pretty hard. He grabbed his

shoulder immediately on the far side of the ring.

Gracie Waller, a lot of credit right there, just sidestepping Zilabatu,

letting him take himself straight out of the game.

Again, as I said about Waller, the first man to be the Iron Survivor winner. When

he came back to... Beautiful,

beautiful neck breaker. It very well could be. And that left shoulder off the

mat.

Not a whole lot of energy, Vic, right now. You just look at him. He's taking

his time.

Very, very poised at this stage.

I mean, Book, do you like the strategy? You've been in plenty of fatal throwaway

matches. Zilla trying to enter back in, but again, Zilla took a half second to

get up and is right back down.

to the floor. And remember, he went into the steel steps as Montana.

Turning around now, trying to turn around to Waller. Waller just pushed

Montana right in to the NXT champion.

And it's back down to two. Rolling right through goes Cruz.

And he could be in the driver's seat to that NXT title. And there comes Zilla.

There comes Zilla Fatu. But right now, there comes Tony D.

Everybody wants a piece of the action.

Right to the throat and D'Angelo back down. And D'Angelo's really got to start

keeping his head on a swivel. Again, does not need to be factored in the

decision. And look at his face off.

About to go down, Big.

He's about to go down.

answering back Montana though.

Getting a forearm in there at the last moment of that answer and right back.

Zillow Man is a man who's been on the grind.

And now Montana looking out to those here in Edinburgh.

Tarzan got caught and got taken down just that quick.

Big drop right to the throat.

Zillow fought to it. He's feeling it Vic.

that showdown. And look, when you talk about Tony D'Angelo, have you seen a

champion in recent memory be put into crosshairs such as D'Angelo?

Naraku left Japan.

Crew crossed the line.

Waller came from SmackDown. Zillow was the hottest free agent in the world. And

they all came to NXT because they wanted a piece of Tony D'Angelo. He knows he's

not in the best position in NXT right now, but he's willing to go out there

and prove he didn't slip on a banana peel.

it didn't happen the first and only grand slam

champion in nxt is waller realizing that pulling out and pulling out

tony d and again these two have quite the history with one another teamed at

war games back in 2021 part of 2.0 and first goes waller a long time

ago vic that was a very long time ago

D'Angelo was thinking a couple things. He saw Dilla started moving.

And now Dilla going to pay the price.

Oh, man.

Get a cover there. Dilla just got tossed. Tony D'Angelo just threw Fatu.

And now just put Montana into the turnbuckle. Got a high percent of the

knee right there from Cruz Montana.

D'Angelo a man possessed right now.

knows exactly that everyone is gunning for him. And a huge belly

-to-belly NXT champion standing tall.

Can D'Angelo overcome the odds at Heat Wave?

Fatal four-way main event for the NXT championship.

Grayson Waller with the upper hand right now for a moment. Montana trying to do

his best to fight back.

I think Zilla just yelled over to D'Angelo, and now it looks like they're

working together.

Oh, the Tower of Doom.

Oh, yeah.

Super blockbuster from Montana to Waller, and it couldn't have happened to

a nicer guy.

to work together in this matchup. But right now...

But right now, do you think

strategies start to change and it's all about maybe just finding that one guy to

work with to take away the rest? There's no strategy in this matchup right here.

It's win by any means necessary.

I'm talking about by hook or by grip. You got to do what you got to do.

Just took a big shot. 0-5-2.

A window just opened, man.

Canadian Destroyer here in Texas.

Waller is out. Waller may be done.

This may have gone from a four-way to a triple threat.

Two men that are brand new to this brand.

Montana.

Fatu. World One Walkout NXT Champion.

Oh, man.

Into that post and Fatu right back. Back in Montana.

Target acquired.

That's how much Montana wants it. He's willing to go all out, Dick.

And D'Angelo, I mean, at the last moment, had to see his championship

flipping through his fingers as up and down. Big power slam.

This is a cover to the champ. To retain it.

Montana able to kick out.

Fatal four-way for the NXT championship. And now there's Fatu with a big sumo and

drop.

Samoan Bulldozer book. I think this is going a little bit too far. Look at his

eye, Vic.

He's got that look at his eye, that stare, that thousand-yard stare.

Here we go.

Waller just ripped away at the eyes of Zillifat, too.

And now turn around.

that there should be no hesitation right now. Zilla, after eating that spear.

Oh, Cruz knows.

Cruz is putting down Zilla. Oh, baby.

Oh, yeah.

Montana called his shot. Going to try to take Zilla 5-2.

Please, please, I'm engaged.

way to the top. And now it's D'Angelo. It's Montana.

It's the NXT champion fighting for survival.

And oh!

Waller's hurt, Vic.

Waller's hurt.

Waller can be injured right now.

He's in a lot of pain.

Vic, you with me?

Vic, you with me?

Vic's lost his communication right now, but right now, we got a championship

match in the middle of this ring, and Tony did.

Gonna try to follow it up, but got caught by Tony D with a big floor.

Oh, yeah.

Delivered a big thrust kick, but Tony D just fell right in position.

This could be it.

No. Booker, you got me? I got you, Vic.

The thing's been going back and forth right there between Tony D and Cruz

Montana.

Congratulations to Grayson Waller.

Hey, back to NXT.

Anything less than the championship would have been a failure, Vic.

Congratulations to Grayson Waller.

The NXT universe here in Texas is in utter...

Montana but the story of the night is new champions including the arrogant

Ozzie and we will now
