Hey, what's up guys? I'm making a video
on how to
apply DLSS 5 onto RPCX3 to uh take
effect in God of War II. Um, this mod
should apply to all games on RPCS3.
[snorts]
I want to start with saying that uh a
little bit of a warning that
the OSS 5 is GPU heavy. I have an RTX
5080 and that tanks the FPS by very much
a lot.
uh forcing it. Uh I have to recommend
getting a pretty at least a mid to high
tier GPU and play your games at 1080p or
so and see from there if it can do
anymore, but I doubt it cuz it's very uh
heavy like I said.
And um also have to learn that RPCS3 is
uh it's not a perfect emulator, but it
is CPU heavy instead. And God of War II
and Ascension and other big titles in
the emulator. Um they require uh beefy
CPU as well to place these games. Um,
I'm going to leave uh my opinion on what
kind of GPU and CPU you're going to
maybe need to run these both at the same
time.
But with that being said, I'm going to
start with how to applying the mod. Uh,
all the links and websites are in the
description below. Um, the first link
right here and um in my video is going
to be leading to the Google Drive. Um, I
made this myself. DLSS5 for RPCS3.
[snorts]
You're going to want to download and
it's going to take some time with
zipping the file and downloading it. And
you're going to want to go to the the
second link to the the ReShade where the
actual mod tool exists and uh go down to
the very bottom and say and and click
download Reshade with full add-on
support.
You're going to click on this
on reshade. It's going to appear there
or if not on the top. Going to go to
downloads and click on the little
rainbow circle to open the add-on.exe
or reshade.
And this is going to appear. Click okay.
[snorts] Now, on the list of of
executables, we're going to look for the
RPCS3,
the PlayStation 3 uh executable. Uh it's
not here, I would think, for myself. Uh
but if if you do have it, like go to
search RPC.
Um it should appear here, but if it
doesn't, we're going to go to browse.
I'm going to assume you guys are
familiar with
where your computer is set up. And I'm
also going to assume you guys have uh
RPC already uh downloaded, set up,
and with the game itself. I'm not going
to make a video on how to do all that.
I'm just here to show on how to apply
DLSS 5 onto the emulator. So, this is
where I have the RPCS3, the general
whole folder of the of the software.
And we're going to click on the.exe of
RPCS3. Open. Next,
we're going to apply the rendering that
RPC uses, which is Vulcan, so the LSS5
can hook onto it. We're going to click
next. Update reshade only. uh you're
going to maybe get um two things that
pop up. One that uh or the reshade setup
is going to want to make changes. You're
going to click yes. And the second thing
is that I already did it myself, but
you're going to get a list of mods uh
that that is from the community to
already pre-applied to reshade. [snorts]
And uh you're not going to click on any
of them. You're just making the path to
the path from reshade onto RPC. So just
click on the bottom that says uh next or
continue and continue next and until it
says finish. And that's the first half.
We're going to go to the folder where
the PS3 emulator is located and we're
going to we are going to locate
uh among the files of our PCS3 one that
says reshade shaders.
Now this is the one that we apply with
the mod but we're going to replace it
with the one that we got in from the
Google drive.
So, let's go to our downloads folder and
to extract the
extract the folder. Extract all. Click
yes, extract.
And bing, bam, boom, it's there. We're
going to open the DLSS 5 for our PC.
And we have these two folder options. Uh
DLSS 5 files is the actual DLSS 5 uh
files. And the reshade shaders is mod. I
have this custom made to work on the
get- go. So, we're going to uh copy the
re-shade shaders.
Oh, let's go here on the side
and open our RPC folder that should
already exist that we have. And uh we're
not going to check this. Uh this is
checked for some reason. uh just apply
and paste the the Google Drive reshade
shaders onto the RPC folder to replace.
And we're going to say yes, replace all.
Oh, no wait, hold on.
Replace.
And it's been replaced. That's the
That's the first half of the Google
Drive. Now, we're going to click on the
DLSS 5 files, and we're going to
scroll and highlight everything here.
Oh, did I didn't get it. Uh, scroll and
highlight. Copy.
Oh, don't check that. Uh,
we're going to apply all these DLSS 5
files and Nvidia files onto our PCS3.
Uh, these files have to be um pasted
next to the uh exe files or it won't
work.
And that is it. We're going to open our
PCS3.
Uh Uhhuh.
There we go. Uh again, I'm going to
assume that
I can't say this enough, but I get a lot
of uh comments saying where I get the
games. Uh, YouTube is going to take down
my channel or the video if I condone or
whatever where I where I got this from.
It's the rules. Um, I'm going to assume
that you guys have this uh already
installed uh Blue God of War 3
and it's going to take a minute to to
boot up the game.
I I have to say that the neat part is is
that this uh DLSS 5 reshade mod, this
applies to all the games. You don't have
to set the DLSS 5 individually at all.
It's just one and done.
Okay. So, we can already test um
we can already test how
the reshade mod if it's applied or not.
Uh on our keyboard, we're going to click
the home button. That's
the the home button that's next to our
arrow keys.
and you're going to get the the welcome
of the the welcome uh text from Reshade.
Uh you're going to want to click on just
just continue until you get
on these options,
these checkbox options. And we're going
to look for the one that says
well the one that says [music] DLSS 5
feed uh not the debug uh feed. Check
this on.
Okay. And we're going to open this menu
that's related to the DLSS 5 feed. And
we're going to scroll all the way down
and we're going to click on the zero
that's next to DLSS5
NV provider and type in the number three
and press enter and reload just to make
sure it's applied. And we're going to
check another one that says uh Luminite
kernel 2.0. Click on this.
And uh just reload just to make sure.
And then the the the last part is the
DLSS 5. Uh with this being applied, um
it should be applied, but if it isn't,
you're going to want to check on DLSS 5
feed and DLSS 5 neural rendering. Um,
for the one
once this has been applied,
you're going to uh Oh, hopefully this
has applied for you. You get to
uh go through the options of what styles
of DLSS 5 you want. This is the default
for Kratos right now. Me scoot uh scooch
this to the side. Uh go to natural.
go to cinematic.
Uh, personally, I put cinematic because
that it has the most noticeable change
on in God of War. Uh, these, uh, sliders
are appearance
to your to your liking of how you want
DLSS 5 tweaked. Um, you play around with
these. I the the mod is new so
you so with your own time you guys pick
what you want from this mod.
Uh I put 2.0 because apparently uh this
is
really um really heavy. You can really
tell the difference
for the showcase. And uh another reason
to to double check if the mod is active
is if it says here in the bottom DLSS NR
version 3 point uh version 310.8.0
is set to active. If this isn't if this
isn't set to active that means it's not
obviously not applied
and not uh changing the visual of the
game. And another one is the LCS 5 feed.
Uh, in case y'all don't have the the
kernel,
the the 2.0 uh Luminite kernel, it's
going to say uh well, I have it right.
It says provider matches the shaders
DLSS 5. But if that isn't green and it
says um let's say uh it's still looking
for the uh for something to uh motion
vectors to hang on to and it doesn't
have it. Uh it's not applied right
either. Uh, just put your problems in
the description below and I'll try to
answer as many questions. Uh, please uh
follow this guide as closely as
possible.
And that's about it. We have the Elsis
Fire. I'm going to play a little bit
just to showcase
um the labyrinth with Pandora. I think
that's a good one. There's a cut scene
on the get- go.
All right. So, we got Pandora here.
Let's stand next to the um to the light
there. Uh yeah.
Cancel stand up. Yeah, he can stand up.
just to showcase the mod.
We're going to go for uh just take it
off. How does God war look like vanilla?
Well, big difference. Big difference.
Let's uh start with default
and applied. Yeah, that's a little
different.
Natural
and cinematic.
Yeah, that that that sand one is uh it
hits.
Now, these are for uh these are my
settings for the God of War 3.
Since uh everything's taking a toll, uh
I would suggest starting the game at its
natural 100% resolution scale. That's uh
720p and setting the frame limit at well
hopefully 60 and only 60 because 120
speeds up the game by a lot. But if you
guys can pull off uh 60 fps with the
LS5, then um power to you. But if if you
guys don't have um
the processing power for more frames,
you're going to have to go down to 50
and then 30.
And well, that only depends on your
hardware.
I'll set the notropic filter to 16
times. I set my output scaling to
bilinear.
[clears throat] And because I have an
all right CPU, I have a 5700 X3D, I can
set this to 4K within my 1080p screen
just to make this look more sharper,
more detailed.
And that's about it.
>> Thank you, Kratos. Our journey is far
from over, Pandora. By its end, you will
not be thanking me.
>> I know I look it, but I'm not a child,
Kattos. I have seen many terrible
things. I'm not afraid. I understand
what lies ahead. I saw Zeus torture my
father. I saw him beaten because of me.
I should have helped him. But
>> did what every father should do, protect
his child. No, it's all my fault. I
failed him because of fear.
Fear is its own kind. I heard what the
gods said about me.
They called me a monster.
>> Words mean nothing
>> perhaps.
But in their words, I heard fear. The
fear of an ashcovered warrior.
The fear of you.
As the fear in the gods rose, blind was
replaced by hope.
>> Hope is for the weak, Pandora.
>> Hope is what makes us strong. It is why
we are here.
It is what we fight with when all else
is lost.
This is what hope delivers, child. You
should learn that now.
>> Okay, I'm just going to play the game as
normal right now. And after the fight,
I'm just going to end it.
Just a little longer showcase of combat
with the also spar.
Fire.
[groaning]
Huh?
Help. [groaning]
Well, I guess that's the end then. Um,
if you guys have any problems,
uh, just, um, mention them in the
comments. And that's how you apply DLSS
5 to our PC emulator. Uh, so yeah.
