[SOMBER MUSIC PLAYING]

Tindeng!

Tindeng, they said Tanggol came here. Did he cause trouble?

[SIGHS DEEPLY]

What?

[SOMBER MUSIC CONTINUES]

[INHALES DEEPLY]

Roda, it hurts so much.

[RODA] What?

It hurts...

[SOMBER MUSIC CONTINUES]

I hurt my beloved grandson.

[SOMBER MUSIC CONTINUES]

[SNIFFLES]

I hurt him because...

I hid the truth from him for so long.

[SOMBER MUSIC CONTINUES]

Do you know why Rigor treats him that way?

Why?

Because Rigor is not his real father.

What?!

[PENSIVE MUSIC CONTINUES]

I made a mistake. I kept this from him.

[BREATHES DEEPLY]

I knew this day would come.

[SOMBER MUSIC CONTINUES]

I knew it would hurt.

But I didn't think...

[SOMBER MUSIC CONTINUES]

I didn't think it would hurt this much.

[EXHALES SOFTLY]

I never thought...

the pain Tanggol feels

would surpass the pain I'm experiencing.

[SOBS] Roda...

[SOMBER MUSIC CONTINUES]

[SNIFFLES]

[SOBBING]

[SOMBER MUSIC CONTINUES]

I've wronged my grandson greatly.

[TINDENG SOBBING]

[TINDENG SNIFFLES]

["KAPALARAN" INSTRUMENTAL PLAYING]

[BREATHES HEAVILY]

I protected my daughter, Marites.

I shielded her from shame.

And I supported her dream of having a complete family.

Something I wasn't able to give her.

[SOMBER MUSIC PLAYING]

[SOBS]

Tindeng!

Tanggol is here.

He's causing trouble.

Did you see him? Did he come here?

Yes.

What?

Did you talk to him?

I hope you explained it to him clearly.

I hope you told him properly so it wouldn't come to this...

to him causing trouble.

Marites, Tanggol confronted me.

He was furious.

He wouldn't even listen to my apology.

The wound we left in him is so deep.

No words can erase that.

[SOMBER MUSIC CONTINUES]

Tess.

Let's accept it.

This is our fault.

We kept secrets from him.

[SOMBER MUSIC CONTINUES]

In the end,

Tanggol is the one paying for our mistakes.

He's the one who's hurting the most out of all of us.

[SOMBER MUSIC CONTINUES]

[SOBBING]

[SOMBER MUSIC CONTINUES]

- Son! - Ma, any news?

Stay here for now.

Chairman and the watchmen are still patrolling outside.

Okay.

So let's stay here for now

while Chairman and his men are still lurking around.

But we won't stop until we find Tanggol, okay?

Right now, Tanggol is going through something.

You need to be there for him, always!

[GLUM MUSIC PLAYING]

Make sure he knows he has a family,

even if not by blood.

[GLUM MUSIC CONTINUES]

We know that, Miss Myrna.

That's why we're here, to make sure he doesn't harm himself.

[GLUM MUSIC CONTINUES]

[TENSE MUSIC PLAYING] [HURRIED FOOTSTEPS]

[OVER THE RADIO] Amanda Salonga has escaped! Find her!

[TENSE MUSIC CONTINUES]

[AMANDA GRUNTING] [HIT LANDING]

[POLICE GRUNTING] [BODY THUDS]

Stop! Put your hands up!

[FOOTSTEPS APPROACHING]

[TENSE MUSIC CONTINUES]

Turn around!

[HANDCUFFS CLACKING]

That's enough. Bro...

Why did you do that?

You beat up General Pacheco!

What I did to him wasn't enough!

Come on, man. Go home.

You might cause more problems.

[DOWNTEMPO MUSIC PLAYING]

[STEADY FOOTSTEPS] [VEHICLES BEEPING]

Tanggol...

It's late.

I'm sure your dad's about to come home.

[OMINOUS MUSIC PLAYING]

Do you want us to wait by the entrance?

When he's near, we'll come back to let you know.

[OMINOUS MUSIC SWELLS]

Come on. Let's wait for him there.

Bro.

We'll come back.

[OMINOUS MUSIC CONTINUES]

[FOOTSTEPS APPROACHING]

- Give me a beer. - Sure, Mister Rigor.

[GLASS BOTTLES CLINKING]

- Here, Mister Rigor. - Put it there.

[BOTTLE THUDS]

Here.

Thank you, Mister Rigor.

[OMINOUS MUSIC CONTINUES]

I'll never regret what I did to you, Pacheco.

I'll tolerate all of your insults.

But never tell me that monster, Tanggol, is more useful than me.

[TENSE MUSIC PLAYING]

You will pay...

...for everything you've done to me.

I have no reason to keep you alive.

[TENSE MUSIC CONTINUES]
