May I be like the stars

and you like the moon.

As long as the world remains,

so shall we.

I only wish to stay with the one I love,

watching every sunrise and sunset.

I want to be with you forever.

Eternals and demons walk different paths.

You and she are ultimately different.

Have you ever

truly cared for me?

No.

Never.

In this life and the next, through all lifetimes…

May we live and die together,

and share life and death as one.

[Moonlight Mystique]

[Episode 34]

Amazing!

You're here.

Attention, everyone!

There's another

important matter in the palace today.

What is it?

I don't know.

What important matter?

- Bravo! - Wow!

Look!

So beautiful!

So pretty!

Please make way, everyone.

Who is this for?

Ms. Bai.

Master prepared these flowers for you.

Master prepared it for her?

You asked me to prepare the festival,

but you secretly prepared these.

Now it seems

it's a bit inappropriate.

What do you mean?

It's perfect.

I'll take the flowers if you won't.

If you won't propose, I will.

♫ What kind of flower would never bear fruit? ♫

♫ What kind of fruit never sees a flower? ♫

♫ Withstanding the stillness, you are a broken piece of me ♫

♫ I am the fruit to your flowers ♫

On this starry night...

our relatives and friends are with us.

Let the vast Polar Region

be my witness.

Fan Yue.

Will you marry me?

Fan Yue...

to have met you

and be able to love you

is the greatest blessing

in my life.

Inseparable in heaven...

and intertwined on earth,

my heart is yours...

♫ What kind of tree never takes root? ♫

For an eternity.

♫ What kind of roots never turn into trees? ♫

You've accepted my flowers,

♫ To break the roots of love, to look at the past and seal one's heart ♫

so you're mine.

Sure.

♫ I'm your wanderer ♫

♫ The flowers flew away ♫

Ms. Bai is really a heroine.

- True to her feelings! - Yeah!

♫ My tears are streaming down like rain ♫

♫ Light my heart's lamp, cast away attachments, and ask the world ♫

♫ On the vast sea, you and I ♫

Ms. Bai, why are you crying?

Yes, Ms. Bai. Why are you crying?

Nothing. I'm just over the moon.

From now on,

your master has to listen to me.

Everyone has to listen to me.

I am the mistress of Bright Moon Palace.

It's the Palace's celebration today.

Enjoy yourselves.

Have fun.

Let's get drunk!

Great!

♫ May I ask, what do the gods see in the world? ♫

♫ Sadness from infatuation, anger, and parting ♫

Bravo!

♫ My love brought tears ♫

♫ Greed for gathering, for holding, and for completeness ♫

♫ I was never a flower, but I withered on my own ♫

♫ I fell between your brows and became a good fruit ♫

♫ The grand dream of life is hard to let go ♫

♫ Searching for the path, the answers, yet found nothing ♫

♫ With a heart full of compassion for the people, I let go of my obsessions ♫

♫ I cultivated myself to be free of desires, offering myself as a sacrifice to the moon ♫

Master.

♫ The daylight burns through, and the stars shine bright ♫

♫ Through the Buddhist dust, I see the moon in the sky ♫

Don't you...

♫ I am but a mortal, destined to fade ♫

have anything to say to me?

♫ But I went through a thousand calamities for a promise ♫

♫ I severed emotions, desires, and the fate between you and me ♫

♫ To protect the world for eternity ♫

No way.

No way.

Why must...

Why must everything be ruined when things are

going so well?

There must be another way.

I'll order all the demons to search the Polar Region

for all the healing elixirs.

Don’t go.

My limit is up till tonight.

Let me enjoy this celebration

with everyone for the last time.

But you will die.

Bright Moon Palace needs its master.

I've never been the one sustaining

Bright Moon Palace.

It’s you guys.

Whether it's you,

Cang Shan,

or any one of them,

no one should just live for me.

You should do what you want

according to your wishes.

Our wish is to follow you, Fan Yue.

But my wish is

for you to have your own wishes,

own bliss,

and own direction.

Welcoming,

sending off,

living and reunion,

death and parting.

Tian Huo.

These are very common things in life.

It's a long journey.

We must learn to accept that

every meeting entails parting,

right?

I used to only come here

whenever I was in a bad mood.

I'd never really enjoyed the scenery in front of me.

I never imagined that

there'd be such a bustling day in the Polar Region.

Shuo.

Because of you,

I could witness such splendor

and understand the meaning of life.

We still have a chance.

I used to be

obsessed with revenge.

It's only now that I've realized

how many things I've yet to accomplish.

What do you want to do?

Tell me.

I hope Bright Moon Palace

will always be as peaceful and blissful

as today.

I hope there's no more

fighting in the world.

I also want to see every scenery on the Eastern Continent.

I want to go to Nanhai City to see ice crystals.

I want to go to Phoenix Island

to see sycamore flowers

and go to Misty Island

to collect red corals.

Shuo.

Can you accomplish these things for me in the future?

Can you?

Nanhai is filled with sunshine.

Ice crystals are hard to come by.

Sycamore flowers are rare,

blooming once in thirty years.

The oldest red coral in the world

isn't even ten thousand years old.

To accomplish any one of it,

it'll take at least over a decade.

Fan Yue.

I understand your intention.

You want me to live on well,

right?

You're still as smart as ever.

So will you be a part

of this last plan?

Don't worry.

I cherish my life.

I won't do anything stupid.

I'll continue to live well.

I'll live for a long,

long time.

That's great.

Give me a hug, Shuo.

Shuo.

♫ No matter if I'm drunk or not, I just want to be reckless once ♫

I'll always be here.

♫ Because love is thrilling ♫

I'll turn into the stars,

the sun, the moon,

♫ If you tear open my heart ♫

and every gust of wind that passes you.

♫ I can hold you a little tighter ♫

♫ This pain will gradually fade ♫

I'll always be by your side.

♫ Time withers the moonlight ♫

Shuo.

I love you.

♫ All that's left is pitch darkness ♫

♫ I want to tear apart ♫

♫ This sky for you ♫

♫ A lifetime of guarding everything with you ♫

♫ Crossing the abyss to fulfill our vow ♫

♫ I'll leap without a thought for tomorrow ♫

♫ This moment feels like forever ♫

♫ I've missed too much time in my life ♫

♫ I'll throw myself into this flame for you ♫

♫ Even if I'll perish ♫

♫ At least I can still kiss your face ♫

♫ Burn out my waning moon ♫

♫ In exchange for a lifetime of passion ♫

I'll take care of Bright Moon Palace for you.

♫ A lifetime of guarding everything with you ♫

♫ Crossing the abyss to fulfill our vow ♫

I'll accompany Tian Huo.

I'll go see every mountain and river

♫ I'll leap without a thought for tomorrow ♫

on the Eastern Continent for you.

♫ This moment feels like forever ♫

♫ I've missed too much time in my life ♫

I'll protect every star, sun, and moon.

♫ I'll throw myself into this flame for you ♫

♫ Even if I'll perish ♫

I promise you.

♫ At least I can still kiss your face ♫

♫ Burn out my waning moon ♫

I promise you.

♫ In exchange for a lifetime of passion ♫

Lunar Hidden Sea?

My consciousness is back at Lunar Hidden Sea?

You're finally here.

It's you.

Who are you?

Are you an Eternal, demon, or deity?

Since you're in the Divine Realm,

of course I'm a deity.

Bai Shuo.

My name is Xiu Yan,

[Xiu Yan, Lunar deity]

a Lunar deity.

Since you're a deity,

send me out of the sea of consciousness.

You can save Fan Yue, right?

This is not the sea of consciousness.

The assembly of the Five Contemplations

activated the Divine Realm.

This is

the real Lunar Hidden Sea.

Since you've entered the Lunar Hidden Sea,

it means the time has come.

Bai Shuo.

You should know who you are.

I've always known who I am.

I'm Bai Shuo,

not anyone else.

And I won't be anyone else.

I don't care where this is

and what secrets are hidden here.

I don't care why you have this pendant.

No matter why you pretended

to be my benefactor,

at this moment,

I just want Fan Yue to live.

Can you save him?

He's already dead.

His Seven Stars are gone.

I can't save him.

Aren't you a deity?

Why can't you save him?

Because 60,000 years ago,

I've already died.

Now,

I'm just a thread of divine soul,

who exists to protect

the Lunar Hidden Sea and you.

You're dead?

Yes.

I only exist

just for you.

I've been waiting for you here,

waiting for the day you get here

after assembling the Five Contemplations.

Bai Shuo.

Only when you understand the meaning of the Lunar Hidden Sea

can you get a glimpse of the Divine Way

and break out of the Divine Realm

to return to reality

and do everything you're destined to do.

After going through so many things,

I've gone through countless hardships

and lost my loved ones.

Even if I understand everything now

and see the Divine Way,

do you think it's still meaningful to me?

So many people sacrificed themselves to send you here.

Don't you want to know why

everything's the way it is?

If you don't enter the Divine Way,

how can you accomplish

everything you promised to Fan Yue?

Okay.

Then tell me

why the Lunar Hidden Sea exists.

What are these so-called

Divine Realm

and Divine Way?

60,000 years ago,

the so-called Divine Realm you talk about

wasn't on land

but in the sky.

In the sky?

To be precise,

it was within the vast galaxy

in the expanse of the universe.

The Heaven controls everything.

In the vast universe,

there were three divisions in the Divine Region,

which were the three races

[Lunar Race, Divine Region]

[Demon Race, Divine Region]

of the Lunars,

demons, and Hiddens.

[Hidden Race, Divine Region]

The Hiddens were cruel and bloodthirsty.

The demons were arrogant and unruly.

Only the Lunars focused on

keeping the peace of the Divine Region

and protecting the people.

For many years,

the demons and Hiddens repeatedly provoked each other

and fought endlessly,

yearning to dominate the Divine Region.

But the Lunar Race had the most powerful weapon in the Divine Region,

the Xing Yue Divine Bow.

Against the Divine Bow,

even the Demon Lord Jing Yuan and the Hidden Lord Mo Li

were helpless.

So for thousands of years,

both the demons and Hiddens did everything

to try to destroy the Bow.

Luckily, the Bow was guarded by one person

such that no one could approach it.

That person

[Xing Yue, Divine Lunar Supreme Deity]

was the Supreme Deity Xing Yue.

Xing Yue?

Yes.

Supreme Deity Xing Yue,

the most powerful of the Lunars

and the most admirable Supreme Deity.

She was in command of the Contemplation Stone that controlled the Bow's barrier.

She was also the only one

who knew where the Xing Yue Divine Bow was.

Since she was the most powerful being

and had the help of the Bow,

why did she die in the end

and why were the deities annihilated?

Everything

started from an encounter.

Whose encounter?

Xing Yue

and Jing Yuan.

Greetings, Lunar Lord.

Greetings, Lunar Lord.

Lunar Lord.

The Vault of Heaven Battle is over.

The two elders have chosen

the three strongest young generals in the race.

Please choose your attendant.

The Vault of Heaven Battle

is highly competitive

and perilous.

Answer me this.

Why are you running for the divine attendant?

The Xing Yue Bow is a Heavenly weapon.

It's my lifelong wish

to guard it with you.

You once saved my life on the battlefield.

I'm willing to follow you

till my death.

What about you?

Why do you have to be my attendant?

You're akin to the stars in the world.

I, Yuan,

deeply admire you.

From now on,

you'll be my divine attendant.

This Flaming Moon token

represents your rank.

Thank you, Lunar Lord.

From now on,

where there's the Lunar Lord,

there will be the Flaming Moon

and me, Yuan.

Lunar Lord likes the quiet and simplicity.

Don't come near her for no reason

or offend her

or talk nonsense.

Talk nonsense?

What do you mean?

What you said today

was nonsense.

Fine, I won't talk nonsense.

Your name's Yuan, right?

Sleep in that room.

Xing Yue Pavilion's attendant

is meant to guard the Divine Bow.

But we can't

rely on you anyway.

Just don't cause any trouble.

What do you think Lunar Lord likes?

She likes it when no one disturbs her.

Move, move.

What are you doing?

Didn't you say she likes the quiet?

I'll just watch her from here.

You'd better only do that.

Go! Go away!

Lunar Lord!

Lunar Lord.

I think Xing Yue Pavilion is too cheerless.

Do you like this?

So you don't like flowers.

Then tell me what you like.

I'll get you whatever you want.

Lunar Lord.

You're the Supreme Deity of the Lunar Race,

♫ Writing wishes in the night sky ♫

but you're still a woman.

Don't you have any interest in things

like jewelry and dresses?

♫ The clouds seal their approval for me ♫

- Lunar Lord! - Don’t worry!

- I won’t let him disturb you again! - If you don’t like flowers,

♫ You walk towards me slowly ♫

I'll get you something else tomorrow!

Get what else?

You'd better stop this!

Fine, fine.

♫ Time stops ♫

I'll leave her alone.

I told you

not to disturb her in her quiet.

♫ The brightest star in the night sky ♫

Got it.

Are you sure?

♫ Is willing to extinguish for you ♫

Since you don't like jewelry,

♫ Because the starlight in your eyes ♫

what about novels?

I spent a lot of time choosing them.

♫ Lights up my long night ♫

♫ I'm afraid tomorrow is too far ♫

Didn't you say you wouldn't disturb her?

♫ Love you at every moment ♫

I said that for yesterday, not today.

You...

♫ Don't miss me ♫

S-Stop right there!

♫ I'll always be by your side ♫

♫ I'll fulfill this promise with my life ♫

♫ Once in a lifetime, forever ♫

♫ Every starlight ♫

♫ Is a kiss from me to you ♫

Lunar Lord.

I heard that on the Eastern Continent,

there's something called the Lantern Festival.

They fly sky lanterns

and admire the full moon.

Why don't we...

I've been in command of the stars for 30,000 years.

I don't care for watching the moon and stars.

This will do.

What does she mean?

What do you think she likes?

Wine.

Got it.

Where are you going?

Lunar Lord.

I don't know where Yuan is slacking off.

I haven't seen him the whole afternoon.

He's not coming back.

He's not?

But he is your attendant.

How could he leave just like that?

Where are his manners?

Was he

discouraged by the scoldings?

Jing Yuan

didn't show up for days.

The place he made lively

was back to its usual silence.

The Lunar Lord was still as noble and cold as ever.

She looked the same.

But something...

seemed to have changed in her.

Lunar Lord.

The elders are waiting.

They want to discuss about the Hidden Lord with you.

Lunar Lord.

These are the good wine I found for you

after scouring the Divine Region.

Want to try some?

You like wine,

but why don't I ever see you drink?

You don't have to

do what you like every day.

You also don't have to

get what you like every day.

Have you

always been living such a boring life?

Boring?

Then what is fun?

There are many fun things,

as long as you're willing to do them.

For example?

For example,

riding the wind

and admiring the galaxy.

Lunar Lord.

This is the most mysterious

and splendid Lunar Hidden Sea of the Lunar Race.

This is where I cultivate.

I know what it is.

You've been seeing this view of the galaxy, sun, and moon

for 30,000 years.

Is it any different

today?

Yes.

How so?

Because I'm with the Demon Lord

this time.

[Jing Yuan, Divine Demon Supreme Deity]

All the stars are under my control.

Being here where the stellar power of us Lunars

is at its peak

is our only way to trap you, the Demon Lord.

How did you determine that

I'd bring you here?

You are unruly.

The harder it is,

the more eager you are.

Since I told you I don't like the stars, sun, and moon,

I knew that no matter what,

you'd bring me to see this.

I restrained my demonic aura before entering the Lunar division.

When did you discover my identity?

Was it that night

when I invited you to admire the moon

that you detected my aura?

With the Xing Yue Divine Bow

in the Lunars' Divine Region,

no one can hide their aura from me.

I knew who you are

the first time I saw you.

Then why did you still take me in as your attendant?

Weren't you worried that

I'd really get the Contemplation Stone

and find the Xing Yue Bow?

No Lunar apart from me

can stop you.

Since you're here for the Xing Yue Bow,

keeping you by my side is the best guarantee that nothing goes wrong.

I thought I was the mastermind.

But I was

actually already in a trap.

You're right.

I came here

to destroy the Xing Yue Divine Bow.

Are you trapping me here now

because you want to kill me?

I can only trap you

with the Heavenly stellar power.

If I had murderous intent,

I'm afraid more than half

of our sacred land must be destroyed.

I have an appointment to fulfill.

To keep you from making trouble,

you'll have to make do

and stay here.

I know what you're going to do.

You and Hidden Lord Mo Li

agreed to fight every thousand years.

Today

is the day of the fight.

So what if it is?

I just want to remind you this.

Hidden Lord's been in seclusion for three years.

Rumor has it that he was practicing a secret technique.

The Hiddens have always used evil techniques.

Lunar Lord.

Be careful.

You don't have to worry about me.

[Mo Li, Divine Hidden Supreme Deity]

Xing Yue.

It's been a thousand years,

but you're still so cold and beautiful.

We agreed to fight every thousand years.

Bring it on.

You're so powerful. Must you go against me?

Marry me

and become the Hiddens' Divine Queen.

We'll annihilate the demons and share the Divine Region!

Isn't that nice?

Mo Li.

Back then, we made a divine agreement

to fight every thousand years,

where the loser can't wage war in the Divine Region.

Between the two of us, apart from this battle,

there's nothing to talk about.

Then let me see how much stronger

you've become in the past thousand years.

As expected of you, Xing Yue.

You're really merciless.

Mo Li,

you lost.

Remember your promise.

Sooner or later,

you'll be mine.

Hidden Lord?

Why does he look exactly like Chong Zhao?

How's Chong Zhao

related to the Hidden Lord?

You've already guessed it,

right?

Among the three children Zhen Yu is looking for,

two of them have the Divine Mantle of Xing Yue and Jing Yuan.

The third one

has the Divine Mantle of the Hidden Lord,

that is Chong Zhao.

But Chong Zhao is an Eternal.

He is kind and righteous.

How could he have anything to do with the Hidden Lord?

Many things

are written in the stars.

Just like how you had to experience

so much to get here.

And just like how you

have to understand what happened 60,000 years ago

before you can break through this Realm.

Bai Shuo.

You need to know the cause

to understand the consequence.

I will tell you everything.

Be patient.

Okay.

I'll finish listening to your story first.

She's injured!

Since the Xing Yue Divine Bow was so powerful,

why was Xing Yue injured?

The Bow contains the Heavenly stellar power.

Among the Lunars,

only Supreme Deity Xing Yue can command it.

But commanding the most powerful divine artifact in the world

meant that even a Supreme Deity like her had to pay the price

of equal weight.

What price?

Only by suppressing her desires

and severing her emotional bonds

could she control

the Xing Yue Divine Bow.

You mean...

The Lunar Lord wasn't born heartless,

but for the Divine Region

and the people,

she sealed her emotions and desires

in the Contemplation Stone.

That's why

the Stone has such overwhelming divinity.

So the subsequent annihilation of

the Divine Region and the deities

was because Xing Yue

fell in love?

Hidden power?

I warned you not to

underestimate the enemy.

She actually hid the Divine Bow here?

Both her and Mo Li must've been

hurt from their battle today.

As long as I destroy the Bow,

the Demon Race will send troops to the other two races at once.

From then on,

the demons will dominate the Divine Region.

I've been in command of the stars for 30,000 years.

I don't care for watching the moon and stars.

This will do.

Xing Yue.

Even if I want to take over the Divine Region,

I have to defeat you fair and square.

Why can't I absorb this Hidden power?

Looks like I can only suppress it with divine power.

She's always so cold.

This is a rare moment

where she's unlike her usual self.

♫ If the wind intends to fill the sky with flowers ♫

♫ The moon's brightness is also the result of stars falling into place ♫

Xing Yue, oh, Xing Yue.

I'm really curious.

Were you born so heartless?

♫ As the wind stirs, the clouds gather ♫

♫ As the clouds shift, the moon becomes full ♫

♫ Love is the hardest thing to understand ♫

♫ I'm finally back to where it all started ♫

♫ All the answers are already explained ♫

♫ I'll owe you all of my life ♫

Lunar Lord, bad news!

The Contemplation Stone is weakening!

Lunar...

Shut up!

You...

You...

G-Get out!

Wait.

Why are you dressed like a demon?

Demonic power?

You're a demon?

Shut up.

What does he want?

Is he going to kill me?

Stay here.

I'll be back soon.

Where did he go?

He went to the Snow Cave of the Divine Region

to get a flower.

What flower?

The Soul Lotus,

which is Luan Zhu's essence.

Luan Zhu's essence?

The Soul Lotus

has infinite vitality.

It's a great healing flower.

It's also why

Luan Zhu survived in the Divine War

back then.

Luan Zhu said

he accompanied Jing Yuan for a century.

Is that true?

Sometimes,

the key to

discerning the truth

is how you see it.

Lunar Lord, watch out.

He's a demon!

You left out one word,

"Lord."

Demon Lord Jing Yuan?

Demon Lord!

Don't you dare act recklessly in our Lunar division!

Lunar Lord!

It's fine.

You may leave.

Remember this, Xiu Yan,

only the attendant Yuan is here.

Yes,

Lunar Lord.

Mo Li's power is just on par with mine.

Even if he'd cultivated the secret technique,

you have the Xing Yue Divine Bow.

Why did you get hurt?

Why didn't you destroy the Bow last night?

You're unpredictable.

How would I know

if it wasn't another trap?

This Lotus can nourish your divine energy

and purify you of the Hidden power.

You just need to meditate here every day.

In a few days,

you'll recover.

The Soul Lotus

grows in the Snow Cave of the Divine Region

and is protected by the prehistoric Nine-Head Serpent.

It must've taken you a lot of effort

to get this flower.

What do you want in exchange?

In exchange?

It seems you still don't understand me.

If I really want something,

I don't trade for it.

I just

take it.
