[You Are Desire]

[Episode 29 Juan, Get Up]

What are you doing?

Don't stare at me like this.

Alright, I'll be honest with you.

I am with your brother,

and he confessed it.

From your radiant face,

I guessed it.

Congratulations, you finally got together.

- What are you doing? - Mocking him.

The one who couldn't resist it

- Don't. - with all his talk of rationality.

Don't do that. He's shy. He can't take it.

You're already worried about him.

Alright.

What were you just looking at?

You seemed very focused.

The enrollment guide for the Financial Innovation Class.

Are you planning to attend this?

Our counselor mentioned it to me.

Students ranked in the top five in our major have to enter.

Your counselor told you?

The Finance Department is the crown jewel of our university.

This is definitely

the cream of the crop.

Other top students are busting their guts to get in,

and you need an invite from your counselor?

But this exam isn't easy.

However, I believe in you. Go for it!

[The Art of Breakthrough]

- Wang. - Did you see the poster I just sent you?

Professor Hu Zhongquan is giving a lecture at our college.

I learned from you last time you translated for me

that you were interested in her.

Do you want to listen?

When is it?

Friday afternoon at two, I think.

I have an exam that afternoon.

Well,

it can't be helped.

Maybe next time.

Thank you, Wang.

Bye.

[Sketchbook]

[Ning Yuan]

What's the matter?

A teacher from the Sports School talked to me a few days ago.

The school is very satisfied with our performance in the competition.

As the captain,

I was given a postgraduate place in the Sports School.

If I accept, I have to go there

as soon as I graduate in the fourth year,

and I can't touch a gun anymore.

So,

you've already made up your mind.

I accepted.

It was my choice.

There's nothing to regret.

I've been on our shooting team for three years.

I can say without shame

that I've done my best.

But I haven't won

a single individual medal.

I see my limits.

I think it's important

for a person to know themselves.

Rather than hanging on to the competitive field,

why don't I start on a new path?

Do you look down on me?

Do you think

that I'm getting cold feet?

We're both athletes.

The field is like a battlefield.

If they can,

everyone would want to keep going,

to go further.

Alright.

From your words,

I know I was right about you.

My biggest regret

is not leading our shooting team to win a gold medal.

But in the coming year,

there will be no team competitions.

So,

the heavy responsibility

can only fall on you.

I will apply to Coach Lei

to hand over the captaincy to you.

Shen Juan,

I'll be watching you.

I'll be watching you lead

the Pucheng University Shooting Team to the championship.

I'll see

how far you can go on this road.

Let's compete again.

Just do it.

I'm not afraid.

How did you know I was here?

You're participating in the Financial Innovation Class competition

and you have no class today.

If you're not here, where else could you be?

What are you reading? You seem very focused.

The autobiography of Professor Hu Zhongquan.

She's a marketing genius.

Really impressive.

Do you remember I told you before

that I translated some cases for my senior Wang Han?

She did one of those,

in which a company

being besieged by several industry giants

and about to go bankrupt

made a great comeback

all because of her brilliant idea.

I was so impressed when I read it.

And after reading this autobiography,

I found out she was actually a very bold person.

She didn't major in marketing at first.

She was a computer science major.

She had no one around to support her when she decided to quit school

and retake her exams.

But she still withstood the pressure

and pursued her dream.

It seems she has become your idol,

Sort of.

She'll give a lecture at our school on Friday.

But I have an exam and can't go.

[The Wonder of Whales]

Why are you so early today?

Let's go. I'll take you somewhere.

Where are we going? You're being mysterious.

Just follow me.

You took me here

just to read books?

You'll know when you go up.

Maybe

there will be a surprise.

Let's go.

Whale delight.

It really is a surprise.

I've seen you worrying about your major choice

lately,

so I brought you here

to relax.

It happens that there's an exhibition here called Whale Delight.

Let's go and have a look.

Let's go.

Why can I only hear the whales

but not see them?

Wait and see.

I have a gift for you.

It's been a long time since you made silver jewelry by hand.

Let me.

Whales

are a magical species.

They can withstand great pressure

in order to swim freely in the deep sea.

To touch the sky,

they can leap out of the water.

No matter how much energy it consumes,

it's worth it.

In my heart,

you are like a whale.

Brave,

strong,

gentle and powerful.

You can dive into the deep sea

to seek the other shore

or fly to the sky to pursue the light.

So there's nothing to be confused about.

Whether you choose the sky or the sea,

I believe you can do well.

No matter what choice you make,

I support you.

♫ Whose dream hasn't been beautiful ♫

♫ When have I ever been myself ♫

♫ Wait for me at the end of the daydream ♫

♫ Who has wandered within it ♫

♫ Life is nothing more than fantasy ♫

♫ I am still me ♫

Hello, everyone.

My name is Hu Zhongquan.

I'm glad

you're here to listen to my lecture.

Marketing is a science

and also an art.

An art that serves customers and clients.

It mixes logic with emotion.

It requires us to cleverly apply

our daily life experiences

and insights

and to capture, to design,

to convey

the most touching moments.

Okay, that's all for my sharing.

Finally,

you can ask me a question.

Any questions?

The girl in the fourth row on the right.

You can ask while sitting.

Professor Hu,

I've read your autobiography before.

I know you dropped out

to re-study marketing.

I think it took a lot of courage.

May I ask you what prompted you

to make such a decision?

Your question

reminds me of my college days.

In our time,

the school didn't have a system for transferring departments.

I remember at that time,

many people

advised me not to be impulsive.

They said I was studying the most popular major.

Why did I have to take the risk

to do something uncertain?

Pour your passion into your dreams

and strive to make them come true,

Don't make yourself regret it. Keep going.

Shen Juan,

I've decided. I'm applying for a transfer.

I support you.

You're not surprised?

Not surprised.

I went to Professor Hu's lecture.

She said people should choose what they love

and what gives them a sense of accomplishment.

Don't let yourself regret it.

The thing I'm proudest of

is organizing the Daydreamer exhibition for your uncle.

I think though it's tiring

to struggle together,

it's fun.

And when I saw the moved expressions on the faces of those

who came to the exhibition,

I found what I did

very meaningful.

Just like you said,

whales can dive into the sea to find the other shore

or leap into the sky

to seek the light.

I'll back you up.

Here.

What's this?

Didn't you go there late?

Professor Hu

discussed some very popular marketing cases in the first half.

I thought you'd want to hear.

You were there yesterday too?

I didn't want you to miss important things.

I won't let you down.

My little whale

has never let me down.

Mom,

I plan to

transfer to the Marketing Department.

If you've thought it through,

prepare well.

So

you agree?

I told you it last time.

Your life is up to you.

Since you've decided,

then do it.

I have no objections.

Thank you, Mom.

You are here.

We were looking for you.

A great piece of news for you.

You passed the written test for the Financial Innovation Class,

and your ranking is quite high.

Lin Yujing,

why aren't you happy at all?

I'm not going to that class.

I've decided to transfer.

Not going?

That is the Financial Innovation Class.

Are you sure you've thought it through?

Although it's a bit of a pity to give up,

I think we should follow our heart

and choose a major that we really like.

Okay then.

Anyway, you've always taken the road less traveled.

Whatever decision you make, I support you.

Everyone, time to enter the examination room.

This is our team's flag.

Keep it well.

These are the shooting characteristics

and training plans of our players

that I compiled at Coach Lei's request.

Captain, trust me.

I will lead our shooting team

just like you.

Alright.

From this day forward,

Shen Juan is our shooting team's captain.

Our next target

is the medal for the East China University Championship.

Does everyone have confidence?

Yes.

- Louder. - Yes!

Has the result come out?

How is it?

Did you pass?

Yes, I did.

Hey, champion!

Hello!

It's so cool.

When I was watching the game with Wang Yiyang,

we all lost our voices from cheering.

You're not bad either.

Your group won the first prize in

the National University Marketing Competition.

And you won the Elite Award.

Look, there are still a few spots here.

Why not put your trophy here, too?

I'll pass.

I'll wait until I have my own marketing company.

Alright.

I'll wait.

Now that you're the champion,

I guess you'll surely be accepted by the provincial team.

Yes. I came back this time to sign the agreement with the provincial team.

I'll see if there's any nice restaurant nearby.

Let's have a meal

to celebrate the start of your professional career.

You're getting one step closer to your dream!

Well, that's quite dazzling.

We'll have a steamed crab,

a plate of shrimp,

a serving of clams,

and two sodas.

Please wait a moment. Coming right up.

Thank you.

Why are you so happy today?

Do you remember

Professor Hu Zhongquan? The one that came to our university

to give us a lecture.

Sure. That's your idol.

They saw the plan I made for the competition

and wanted to invite me to join their team.

They arranged an interview for me.

When are you going, Miss Lin? I'll give you a ride.

Friday afternoon.

Friday?

I have to attend the retirement ceremony on Friday.

Really?

Then I'll go through the interview as soon as possible.

I'll try to get back in time.

No need. Just focus on your interview.

You should try your best

to get this job in one go.

Here you are. Your seafood is here.

Thank you.

You know it, don't you?

I don't like ginger.

I do, but the crab is cold-natured,

so it has to be eaten with ginger.

Says who?

Here. Eat it.

Girl, your husband is right.

The crab has to be eaten with ginger.

Sir, actually, we…

Sir,

we get it. Thank you.

This crab is delicious.

Please enjoy

How do you know their crab is delicious without eating it?

Now I do.

I never noticed this road is so romantic.

Maybe because we're about to graduate.

The scenery is the same, but our moods are different.

Shen Juan.

I have something for you.

Look.

This is the schedule I made for you.

The dates for your trainings

and the competitions

are all written on it.

After you start your training,

we can still meet on weekends.

After you finish the competition,

there should be a holiday.

We can apply for annual leave in advance.

By then, we can travel together.

As you wish. I'm fine with any arrangement.

Okay, then. I'll take this for now.

And your bag.

Turn around. Hurry.

I'll arrange you to carry me home now.

Alright. Sit tight.

Slow down! Slow down!

Let's go!

Charge!

Congratulations.

You've officially started your professional career.

Coach Lei,

thank you.

Over these years,

I've learned a lot from you.

It's your own hard work

that has brought you these achievements.

As your coach,

I have taught you every skill.

But I still want to nag a bit.

No matter what kind of competition you'll participate in the future,

you must give it your all.

Remember, you're from the Pucheng University Shooting Team.

I will.

Today is your last shot at Pucheng University.

After this shot,

your sports career at our school

will officially come to an end.

Are you ready?

Yes.

Come on, then.

Get ready.

Check the firearms.

Turn in the bullets.

Return the gun case.

Return to the team.

All the members of Pucheng University Shooting Team, Grade 2017,

your retirement ceremony is completed.

I wish you a bright future.

I don't have further questions now.

Thank you for your affirmation.

I'm looking forward to your joining. See you in Huaicheng.

Huaicheng?

Do I need to work in Huaicheng?

Yes, because marketing

is the core position of our entire team.

So your work location will be in Huaicheng.

How about this? I'll send a

job offer to your email tonight.

Then you can consider it.

Can you give me a reply by the end of the month?

Okay, I'll reply as soon as possible.

Let's go, Rong Huai.

Aren't you going back?

I don't know what happened to me lately.

Whenever I fell asleep,

I would dream about us when we

lived in the dormitory of the city team back then.

Maybe it's because

my professional career is about to end.

Do you still remember

the sugar-fried chestnuts at the city team's gate were delicious?

Sure.

I also remember that whenever you were homesick and crying,

Coach Xu always comforted you with those chestnuts.

Can't you remember some of my glorious moments?

Certainly.

You've been

working hard and doing your best.

You've given a lot

for your shooting dream.

Not only me,

but also Coach Lei,

we all see your effort.

I really don't want to leave.

I've long been used to getting up early and training late every day.

I'm also used to standing on the shooting field with a gun.

I'm even more used to fighting side by side with you.

I know I haven't achieved any remarkable results.

But my ten-year sports career

is already a part of me.

If I have the chance, I would still like to

fight with you side by side.

But I know

I won't have a chance again.

It's so hard to become a professional athlete.

Even Ning Yuan couldn't make it,

let alone me.

My professional career ends here.

But you, Shen Juan,

you must

keep going and do your best.

In the future,

I'm going to be a sports journalist.

Maybe one day,

I can commentate on your game.

By then, I can point to

the most shining star on the field

and tell everyone,

"That's Shen Juan!

He's the champion.

He's my senior

and also the best rapid-fire athlete."

[Job Offer]

Why didn't you tell me when you came?

I saw you talking to Rong Huai,

so I came out to wait for you.

By the way,

how was your day today?

Is everything going smoothly?

Rong Huai…

Are you okay?

I'm fine.

Competitive sports

are like climbing up a tall mountain.

The higher you climb, the fewer people there are.

From the moment I decided to embark on this path,

I was already prepared

for the farewells.

When I heard them say,

"Juan, wake up. We have a customer."

My eyes instantly turned red.

As if the past

has once again returned.

We carried our school bags together.

We rode bicycles while chasing each other.

And we laughed all the way.

Time flew by,

and we are about to enter the world called society.

And at this moment, we can still sit

next to each other,

punching each other's shoulders,

while howling the tunes that nobody could recognize.

With teary eyes, we said,

"It's so good to have you guys around."
