When Captain America throws his mighty shield All those who chose to oppose his shield

must yield If he's led to a fight and a duel is due

Then the reds and the whites and the blue will come through

And Captain America throws his mighty shield At last after many hard months of training

the word is out. The big push is on. Orders crackle like gunfire as the various units

are alerted, including Sergeant Duffy's platoon, in which Captain America serves as

Private Steve Rogers. All right you gold bricks, you're on the alert.

Nobody leaves this area. You got it? That goes double for you Rogers.

Got it Sarge. Oh! There's Steve's unit.

I got to see him. Hi Steve. Howdy Bucky.

How's our regimental mascot this fine day? Okay, if I get to go on the big drive.

Not a chance. You know the rules. No teenage mascot can go into combat.

But if I'm big enough to fight as Captain America's partner...

Quiet Bucky, don't forget yourself. But what if Captain America is needed while

you're gone? That'll be a big chance, Bucky.

You show what you can do without me. Under cover of darkness, the crack task force

sets out, leaving behind a lone and disappointed youth, and a silent, unmanned post, now vulnerable

to sabotage. There's the area! Out of the wing, guys!

These should flush out Captain America and his partner, Bucky.

Taking advantage of the sudden pandemonium, Bucky Barnes quickly changes into his

colorful, famous fighting outfit, and just as quickly is on the trail of the saboteurs.

Or so he thinks. Little dreaming, he is live bait for a trap.

Moments later, a speeding car carries the youth to a house of mystery and evil.

Wherein waits the traitorous Dr. Rawlings. Soon I shall have my revenge.

You must be mad to join the enemy. My own brother, traitor to his country.

I want more than my country can give. Fame, glory, power.

And do you think you will get it from them? I shall take my chances.

I have devoted my life to science without reward, and all I have to show for my years

of toil and devotion to my country is this. Still unconscious, Bucky is unaware that he

has reached his destination. They come, master.

Good. I must prepare my laboratory.

Meanwhile at an undisclosed destination, the Allied forces have surprised

an unsuspecting enemy.

Let's go men. Now go to headquarters and smash the communications.

Rangers, stop them!

While the others mop up downstairs, steel, solos topside.

That's the end of your radio career, bub. There'll be no more.

What's this? A boy known as Bucky, prisoner at Greymore Castle,

will be disposed of according to plan. They've got him!

Without a moment's hesitation, Private Marchers takes off.

But in his haste to rescue Bucky, Steve has overlooked

another dispatch. Stand by your posts, enemy panzers,

on way to trap Rangers, and annihilate an entire

greater force.

An enemy plane prepares for takeoff, unaware that it is the target for a red,

white, and blue thunderbolt.

While Captain America clings precariously to the plane's tail,

at Greymore Castle, the traitorous Dr. Rullings is about to

spring his trap as he listens to an intercepted radio report.

Captain America is attempting to commandeer one of our planes.

It is believed that he will attempt to rescue Bucky.

Good, good, very good. Idric, think of your country. You'll betray us all.

And now the great experiment begins. Prepare the subject for the z-rays.

How can you do this to him, Idric? He's only a boy.

You are too emotional, my dear sister. It will be your undoing.

Now we await Captain America. Once he enters Greymore Castle,

the trap will be sprung.

What is this mysterious trap awaiting Captain America?

Will Greymore Castle be his Waterloo?

On its way to join the attack on the Rangers, an enemy plane has unknowingly

picked up an unwelcome passenger.

I'll take over now, boys. It is Captain America. Shoot!

I've got to save Bucky, no matter what the odds.

What is the mask Avenger races to the rescue?

Get on with it, Doctor. He's both of the boys now.

Not yet. He shall be useful when our visitor arrives.

Coming in low to dodge the radar, the visitor is on his way.

Captain America, you will fly your plane directly to Greymore Castle.

If you care to see Bucky alive. I know it's a trap,

but I can't let Bucky down. Before he can follow the order.

Our night fighters, no time to explain. I must outmano with him.

With skill and daring, Captain America hedge hops, skimming rooftops, and trees

finally winging under a low bridge. He eludes his pursuers and deadsticks his

plane onto a makeshift field while enemy eyes follow his every move.

He arrives. Good. We now prepare our little surprise party.

Quickly, the helpless Bucky is pushed into position.

That masked buffoon must not defeat us. Understand that traitor.

Call me what you will. Soon I shall prove my genius.

And as for Captain America, Bucky shall be my ace in the hole.

You had better make no mistake, Doctor. As soon as our visitor tries to rescue

the boy, this hidden plank shall finish him.

No, Cedric. There's still time to back out.

This is treason. My own country refused my great talents.

Now I shall reap my just revenge. No one shall stop me. Meanwhile, across the

channel, the Rangers have secured their position.

Any of you guys see what happened to Rogers?

Last I saw was in the communications building, Sarge. But that's happy now.

I knew he was a gold brick, but I never thought he'd turn deserter.

The so-called deserter is about to storm Greymore Castle.

He scales the wall with a dry tease.

It's strangely quiet. I only hope Bucky is okay.

Hossing to get his bearings, Captain America decides to enter in his own way.

Bucky, you're facing the door. Now I know it's a trap.

Don't worry, partner. I'll get you out of here.

Run! Run! Captain America, you haven't a chance!

Only a coward would use a girl in a machine.

Bonglers, he's making fools of you. All together, fire!

Don't worry, Bucky. I'll set you free.

Yes, Master. So that's their game. I'm choking.

I can't see. Even the valiant crusader cannot withstand such punishment.

He slunks to the floor as a wave of darkness engulfs him.

So much for Captain America. Victory is ours.

Quickly now, before he recovers. Within minutes, Captain America,

Bucky and Celia are securely bound and at the mercy of the vengeful enemy.

Your sister tried to betray us. She shall share their fate.

You wouldn't dare. You swine.

I dare anything. We are through with you.

Be thankful, traitors, that I spare your life.

Now, our three prisoners shall take a little ride. A rocket ride.

No, you can't. Not my sister.

Bring up the rocket.

With this command, a secret door opens and a fully armed giant rocket slowly appears.

Load them aboard. She has done nothing. It is I who want to blame.

Sniveling, Torridor, take your hands off me.

But she is innocent. You cannot do this.

Prepare to fire the rocket.

The helpless victims are carried to their doom.

And it seems that Captain America and Bucky have fought their final battle.

But as Captain America is being placed inside the fateful missile, one of the enemy stumbles.

Or was he tripped by a very clever prisoner? And as for Dr. Rawlings...

Look this coward in one of the dungeons. He is no longer of use to us.

Get Captain America aboard.

Try up your numb skulls before the gas wears off. We must fire the rocket quickly.

Correction. I launch my own rocket.

He is going to cover it. Cut him down.

Surrender or we will shoot your partner.

They still got Bucky.

Good boy. Take cover. Quick.

Mind if I join the party?

Cover me, Bucky. While I get my shield.

He is going to cover his shield. Look out.

Right start.

Two to go, Cap.

I applaud your courage, Captain.

But your shield is of no consequence.

I have the girl.

Announcer, end up.

For a moment, Captain America is stopped.

Then, suddenly, she's broken away.

Cap, they've shot her.

Cowards! He'll pay for this.

Shh. He's trying to say something.

Lost radio methods.

Rangers trapped. Need help. Trapped.

Rangers? My unit.

Enemy reinforcements must have moved in.

Get Dr. Rawlings, Bucky. Hurry.

At ease, Rawlings. I'll get you out.

Hurry, Doctor. Your sister is badly hurt.

Zia. Oh, no.

Quick. Get my medical kit.

It's too late.

I did this to you.

I betrayed everything good and decent.

And now.

In war, Bucky, the armed forces are not the only casualties.

As Zia had warned, a powerful enemy attack force

is moving in to cut off the beleaguered Rangers.

Fall back to the beach. Hold.

They've cut off every escape route.

Only a miracle can save us now.

Back at Greymore Castle, the enemy has been defeated

at the cost of a brave girl's life.

While her brother weeps, Captain America and Bucky

take care of their beaten foes.

Lock 'em in the dungeons, Bucky.

That should keep them out of trouble for a while.

My poor sister.

Somehow I shall avenge you.

Well, so much for that, Cap. What next?

My Ranger unit, Bucky. We must find some way to save them.

But how?

I can't reach them in time.

I have the answer, gentlemen.

I must avenge my sister's death.

And there is only one way.

My rocket.

Could you aim it accurately across the channel?

Precisely.

It can wipe out the entire enemy force.

Mine was the brain that created it.

Mine will be the hand that guided.

And the cause of freedom.

We shall start the countdown.

Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one, zero.

I did it! I shall destroy the enemy, under this evil castle!

He's gone mad.

Cap, the whole place is struggling.

We've got to get out.

We can't leave those men locked in the dungeons.

That one tore the cell doors open.

Captain America and Bucky killed him before we escaped.

Are those the guys we were worried about?

Never mind, let's move.

Well, there goes for a more careful.

Rawlings redeemed himself at last.

He sure did it the hard way.

Speeding toward its target, Rawlings rocket flashes across the channel.

And then, dazed and bewildered, the enemy retreats from the smoking ruins.

The tide has turned.

And a valiant band of Rangers gets a new lease on life,

not knowing they have been saved by Captain America.

When Captain America throws his mighty shield,

all those who chose to oppose his shield must yield.

If he's led to a fight and a duel is due,

then the reds and the whites and the blue will come through.

When Captain America throws his mighty shield.
