Ain't he unglamorated

Trackin' the town with the power of a bull

Ain't no monster clown who is as lovable

Hulk, Hulk

Deep in the heart of the city, a clandestine meeting is held by the members of the deadly enemy,

the Secret Empire.

They watch intently as...

Observe, gentlemen.

This film was taken by one of our agents who was at General Ross' missile base

when the Hulk made his fantastic escape.

This is where the Hulk begins to execute one of his powerful leaps into the air.

In the background, you can see General Thunderbolt Ross...

...and now zeroing in on the Hulk is the Air Force's Orion missile,

America's greatest weapon and one that we must possess.

You see how it is programmed to blow up within 100 feet of its target.

Note the ionic ring of energy which the explosion hurls towards its victim.

Only the Hulk's great strength saved him when he plunged to Earth.

And now our job is to select an agent to obtain the missile for the Secret Empire.

And the only logical choice is the Boomerang.

I'll contact him at once.

Moments later, in another city and state...

Boomerang speaking, tell me the details.

Over.

The Orion missile.

Can you afford my prize?

Very well, I'll do it. Over and out.

I can't waste any time. This job is a big one.

I'll start scouting the missile base tonight.

Meanwhile, at the army base, a countdown has begun.

Eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two...

Nearby, in his cave, the Hulk is unaware that he is within range of the missile about to be fired.

No one shoots Hulk. No one.

I tell you, I didn't see him. It was the Hulk.

Why would he pop up in the middle of the missile testing range?

You didn't stop. Soldiers gone.

Hulk can leave.

Only one way to go, where no one can follow, high in the sky.

Why did you stop hiring? Did you get him?

Speak up, man. Where is he?

He got away, sir. He leaped too high. Got on a range.

My daughter is missing, and I think that green tinted dog oil is tied in with her disappearance.

Major Talbot, cancel all leaves. Order out every available man.

I want my daughter found at once.

General Ross, let me go too, please.

Why don't you have him come with me, General, since he seems to be the only one who can handle the Hulk?

It might be a good idea.

All right, but get going.

Gee, thanks, General.

Sometime later, look, they found her. Are you all right, Miss Ross?

Of course I'm all right. I was just telling the Major that I can't even go for a walk without being tracked down by the Army.

But Betty is for your own safety. You must stay within the bounds of the camp so long as the Hulk is loose.

Nonsense. I'm a big girl now, and I've never heard of the Hulk kidnapping anyone yet.

Nearby, a pair of cold, merciless eyes. Watch the scene.

I'm in luck. I've found the General's daughter.

Once she becomes my hostage, the Orion missile will be mine.

I have more than enough discs to do the job quickly.

A mere handful of men will be no match for boomerang.

The steering wheel shaft. Something here to clean off.

Break your man before we crash.

Look, that nut in the costume.

I don't know what you're tossing, mister, but the ball game's over.

Come now, you wouldn't shoot an unarmed man in cold blood who is merely holding a disc?

He's disarmed them. Come on, kid. Grab some stones.

Two can play at this game. We'll both pepper him at once.

I admire your high resolve, gentlemen. What a pity it's wasted on a man as ambidextrous as I.

Look, he's tossing two at the same time.

It's no use, Major. He's too fast for us.

No! Stay away! Don't!

Major, he's taking Miss Ross.

Glenn, help me!

By the way, tell General Ross I'll release his daughter as soon as he has delivered the plans for the Orion missile to me.

What? You think you can get away with this? Impossible.

But how can you hope to escape from this area? You've no car, no plane.

I'm surprised at you, Miss Ross. Why do you think I'm wearing such outlandish boots?

The daughter of Thunderbolt Ross should have recognized them as retro boots immediately.

We're flying!

Ah, I'm delighted that you finally noticed.

What fantastic fate awaits his captive at the hands of Umarang!

In a hidden observation room?

Ah, Umarang has captured the daughter of General Ross as planned. Soon the missile will be ours.

Look, sir, it's Major Talbot.

But where's Benny? What happened? Where is she?

Talbot over here! On the double!

Speak up, Major! Where's Benny? Didn't you find her?

We did find her, sir.

Then where is she?

We were bringing her back when we were attacked.

And during the battle, we... we lost her again.

What?

It wasn't Major Talbot's fault, General. He tried everything, but nothing could stop the Umarang.

Umarang? What are you talking about?

Do you mean to say one man was able to take mine on her?

I can understand your anger, sir, but this was no ordinary man. He was amazingly well armed.

Bullets were useless against him.

Such a... Talbot, I'm holding you personally responsible for my daughter's safety. Is that clear?

The only one who would have a chance against Umarang is the Hulk, General.

Forget the Hulk! It's Umarang I'm after now! Whoever he is!

The Hulk? Maybe he could help us, but he wouldn't.

Not after the way we were all was hunting and hounding him.

Meanwhile, no hard feelings, lady. This is just the job to me.

I can't wait until my father catches up with you. He won't be so smug then.

He won't rest till you've been brought today.

Hulk! The Hulk! Help! Help me! Please! Hulk! Please!

That voice. I know it. Hulk must help.

So, once more, the Hulk projects himself into the air with one of his tremendous leaps.

You're fast, big guy, but you're having a chance because you can't change direction.

Hulk will get you, wait and see.

Can't keep it up any longer without endangering you, lady. And you're too valuable to me.

So, I'll tackle him on foot with my other weapons.

My little magnetic discs make me the master of any man, even the green-tinted Hulk.

With my discs magnetized together, you're about to receive the most powerful karate chop of all time.

Nothing stops the Hulk.

There's the first one.

I can't stand.

And now, while you're resting, I'll unleash my greatest weapon, the one for which I named myself.

Ordinary boomerang.

This little gadget can do everything but talk, and I'm working on that too.

All I need to do is adjust the dial for maximum electrical intensity, like so.

What's the matter with you? Don't you have sense enough to fall down when I pelted you with enough discs to stop our hair developments?

Nothing stops the Hulk.

I'm beginning to think he means it.

You can't escape Hulk, but call the girl.

At that moment, a lone spotter plane views the startling scene.

Early Charlie to base command have sighted objectives A and B.

Get the exact location. Talbot, tell our strike force we move out immediately.

Yes, sir. Boomerang won't escape me again.

You're blamed right he won't, because you're not going.

But, Betty, what about her?

If all our men and armor can't return her to us, I don't know what you can do.

He's right, of course.

It is my duty to be in command at the missile site.

Well, maybe you've got to stay, but I don't, and I have a feeling that the Hulk is going to need a friend.

If so, then Rick Jones wants to be there.

Meanwhile, as the task force speeds to the area...

Black girl gold! Black girl gold!

Okay, here you are, muscle-bound.

And there's the secret empire's helicopter right on time.

You have arrived at the precise moment, but where is the girl?

I had no choice. I had to trade her for our lives.

He's escaping.

Hulk doesn't care. Hulk has girl.

And then, as the mighty Hulk looks down at her, Betty desperately studies his unblinking eyes.

Is she saved, or is her place more hopeless than ever?

Have I been saved only to face the far greater danger at the hands of the Hulk, the way he's staring?

I mustn't panic.

He must be going berserk, tearing at the hillside with his bare hands.

He's actually making a hole in the side of the tree, digging out of pain.

Oh, he did it to make me more comfortable, to get me out of the rain.

But if you really don't mean any harm, Hulk, if you want to help me, please take me to my father.

Take you to your father? No!

He tried to kill the Hulk.

He's right. Dad has never given him a chance.

You failed us, brave. You let the girl escape.

The Hulk got her away from me. No one can stop him.

But there's still a chance of getting the Orion.

Pull it.

Woolen, a large task force has been marshalled to track down the Hulk, who has captured Betty Ross.

That means there'll only be a skeleton crew guarding the missile, which will make my job a cinch.

What are you doing?

I'm going after the missile again.

Rain, stop!

Hungry. The Hulk will get food.

Strange. I find I'm not afraid of him any longer.

We'll be back.

Meanwhile, General Ross's hard-hitting task force is speeding to the area where the Hulk was sighted.

Attention all units. We've reached area A.

Dispatch searching parties for target H.

There he is. Sparrow patrol. Sparrow patrol.

Mayday. Mayday. The Hulk sighted. The Hulk sighted.

The Hulk will end.

We'll tell General where daughter is.

Hold your fire. He's coming down.

I want him alive.

General, listen.

Your daughter is safe.

At last I've got you.

Surround him.

Nobody takes me.

Look out!

Wait. Let me talk to him. He'll listen to me.

Look out, boy. You can't reason with him now.

Hulk, I'm your friend. You're not a killer. Wait.

No one trusts me. Always they suit.

I'll show them.

If you won't listen, I'll take you.

Fire! Never mind me.

No, don't fire. You'll ruin everything.

He's taking us to her.

Don't shoot. He might be right.

We'll follow from the ground.

Dad. Oh, Dad. He did bring you.

Don't worry, darling. My men will soon be here and we'll take care of the Hulk.

No, Dad. You don't understand.

He saved me from the horrible boomerang.

Saved you?

Yes. And he was kind and gentle.

The Hulk needs nobody.

Hulk, wait. Don't go.

No use. He doesn't even hear me.

Every man is out hunting for the Hulk and the girl I love.

Well, I'm stuck here playing nursemaid of that missile.

But I'm a soldier, so I must obey orders.

My job now is to protect that missile.

What's that?

My leg. You're hit!

I'll send for the medic, sir.

Never mind me. Get that missile out of here before she blows.

Move, man.

Nothing will stop me this time.

I'm going to get that missile.

You won't get away with this.

That's what you think, Major.

I'll blow up the entire base rather than give up the Orion rocket.

For long, dramatic seconds, they face each other.

Then...

Okay, Major. You win this time.

Getting the missile isn't worth having my head blown.

And then the man called Boomerang, Rocket Skyward,

outmaneuvered by the self-sacrificing officer.

And as the Hulk sits brooding high on a mountain top...

I thought I'd find you here.

The Hulk has always seen it and hunted.

That's not true, Hulk.

You're a hero, too.

And some day, the whole world will realize it.

Hulk, Hulk.
