In a hidden cave beneath the burning sands of the desert,

we find the Incredible Hulk,

about to go into one of his fantastic body transitions.

Hulk is gone.

Am I really Bruce Banner, or is the Hulk my true self?

At a nearby Air Force Base,

General Ross is laying the law down to his daughter, Betty.

I'll tell you why Bruce Banner has disappeared.

He knows the robot he built is a flop.

General, we found this man. He's been knocked unconscious.

It must have been Dr. Banner who did it.

He was the only one in the building.

Banner, attack you.

Quick, give the order to stop the test.

Dad, it's too late. The robot is already in the test area.

Quick, dispatch that remote control tank to stop the robot.

the indestructible robot wanders through the desert,

then by a freak accident of fate he stumbles into one of the hidden caves

which Bruce Banner uses as a secret research lab.

The camouflage cave, filled with scientific apparatus.

What a great stroke of luck for me.

I can construct a crude missile powerful enough to destroy the nearby rocket base.

In time, having changed back to his normal identity,

the brilliant Dr. Bruce Banner works feverishly at the base lab.

It was I who created the robot that I must be the one to destroy it.

I'll need an electronic scanner in order to track him down.

Whoever it is who locked himself inside the robot

can become the most powerful man on earth if he hasn't stopped.

It's about time you got here, Major.

I was just about to call the Pentagon again.

I regret the delay, General.

I've spent the past two weeks studying all the records of Bruce Banner's career.

I'm convinced that your suspicions are well-founded, sir.

Here, that hulk, it's a missile I've aimed at the heart of the army base,

and nothing can stop it.

and bounce like a rubber ball.

The missile's heading for the army base.

Everything that exists has its limits,

and the titanic strength of the hulk is no exception.

He plummets to earth like a wounded dragon.

And there, his battered body lies, until...

Look! That figure below! It's the hulk!

Although I lost the trail of Bruce Banner, we've made an even bigger find.

a mysterious figure barks orders into a powerful transmitter.

The agent I sent to steal their robot has not returned from the missile base.

That seems like a simple enough task for the infallible chameleon.

Soon, the man of many faces is on his way to the missile base, wearing a new disguise.

The leader's agent was probably killed by the hulk, which gives me an idea.

Finally, the jet lands outside the army base.

And a few minutes later, the chameleon, in another disguise, reaches the office of General Ross.

Now to return to the base and carry out my most daring plan,

I shall make an ally of the rampaging hulk.

And so because no serviceman would dare to interfere with a passerby who seems to be the commanding general,

the chameleon reaches his quarry with ease.

But as the troops depart, the pulse rate of the hulk reaches its critical peak,

and once again, his incredible transformation begin.

Finally, hundreds of pounds lighter, Bruce Banner is able to easily slip through the chains built to hold the enormous hulk.

I've got to change clothes before the general realizes who the hulk really is.

He's gone. But the chains are still intact. Someone else must have freed him. But who?

Later, as Bruce Banner returns to his laboratory, a hidden figure bounces on him.

Taken completely by surprise, the hapless scientist is securely bound by the chameleon.

I haven't yet learned what I came here to find out.

But if I take the identity of Banner himself, all his secret discoveries will soon be mine.

What a find! A working model of his gamma bomb!

Bruce, darling, I couldn't wait to see you when I heard you were safe.

Blast it! Who is she? Look, I'm busy now. Come back later.

Something's wrong. You've changed. You're not Bruce Banner. You're an impostor.

You are clever, young lady. Far too clever for your own good.

I've got to break free. A chameleon won't let Betty leave here alive.

And as the struggling Dr. Banner becomes more desperate, his pulse rate increases. Until at last.

No puny ropes can hold me. Stay back!

This is a gamma grenade bomb. If I drop it, we all die.

We've got to run. A mere bomb won't stop the Hulk for long.

Our patrol's coming. They mustn't chain me again.

I've done it! I've driven off the Hulk!

It's the Hulk! Quick! Radio headquarters!

Now to get rid of that girl and deliver the gamma bomb to the leader.

A rocket sled. Just the place to hide a meddling female.

It's the Hulk again! That will keep him occupied long enough for me to escape.

Blast it! Stay back or I'll blow us all to smithereens.

Put Stamps behind me. The patrol's attacking. I'll stab them like gnats.

I've got to escape with my life. Even the bomb doesn't matter anymore.

I'll use it to destroy the Hulk and the entire army post with him!

I remember. Banner built a bomb. If it explodes, everyone will die.

While the smoke clears, the Hulk slowly rises to his knees as the powerful gamma rays change him

once again into the gallant Dr. Bruce Banner. Then having saved the entire post,

the gallant scientist races away, unheralded, unrewarded,

ever dreading that terrible moment when fate transforms him again into the incredible Hulk.
