ALL CHARACTERS, ORGANIZATIONS AND EVENTS ARE FICTITIOUS

Previously on The Penthouse: War in Life…

Are you all right? Can you hear me?

Let's begin the resident musician audition for Cheong-a Arts Center.

Bae Ro-na was by far the best.

You were the one who invited Clark here, Soo-ryeon?

This is a place only for orphans. You too.

-I did everything you asked, so why? -Seok-kyung and Seol-a are twins?

Do you not care if you never see your daughter again?

Don't look for me anymore. I won't let Dad catch me.

I'll get rid of Soo-ryeon. Why don't you let me handle her this time?

See the trash can next to Logan? What does it say on it?

"Penthouse"?

You ordered Baek Jun-ki to blow up Logan's car and kept him confined here.

I didn't know you were such a scary woman.

My son, you're home.

Why are you here, Dad?

I thought you should know this too.

Your mom has done something absolutely horrifying.

She had been

keeping Logan confined in the penthouse.

But Logan is dead.

He was barely alive.

He was in the helper's room here.

Haven't you noticed anything suspicious?

Not at all. Why would she do that?

She has enough reasons.

Logan is her enemy.

He got a bone marrow transplant from Seol-a, then she was abandoned.

To your mom, Logan was only someone to get her revenge on.

Well, I plan on moving back in soon.

After all, it was my house.

I should redecorate the bedroom first. I'll take a shower then.

Please pick up, Mom.

Your call cannot be connected…

LOVING HOSTEL

How brave of you.

How did you come up with the idea to partner with Soo-ryeon to kill Logan?

Did she tempt you with her money?

Or did you get ambitious and wanted to be her new man?

It was you who got me involved there.

Why did you get me out of prison? Has this been your plan all along?

If you're a mother, how can you use Eun-byeol to threaten me?

-How do you call yourself her mom? -What about you?

Did you betray me for Eun-byeol's sake?

Because of you, Eun-byeol had to live with that monstrous woman.

You need to pay the price for what you have done to me and Eun-byeol.

That's called karma.

You killed Yoon-hee, didn't you?

Wasn't Yoon-hee…

killed by you?

You betrayed her, then abandoned her.

You'll have to live with that for life.

If you survive, that is.

Seo-jin.

I'll never forgive you.

Seo-jin, I won't let you live!

Cheon Seo-jin!

Cheon Seo-jin!

You're really something, Seo-jin.

You managed to totally fool James.

Can we celebrate now?

I have to say,

we're such a great team.

Right.

I'm curious about something.

Why do you want to get rid of Sim Soo-ryeon so badly?

You, the almighty Cheon Seo-jin.

I've never met anyone as irksome as her.

Sim Soo-ryeon.

My, what a happy day.

I was a bit shocked to know that Logan was still alive.

But we eventually got rid of Soo-ryeon,

Logan, Jun-ki, and Yoon-chul all at once.

We got rid of all the nuisances.

Tonight, I'm going to drink until I drop.

You're sure

Logan won't wake up, right?

I injected him with the poison myself.

He had cardiac arrest, so he won't survive another day.

He was going to die anyway.

Oh, right.

What did you do with Jun-ki?

I tipped them off and said he's missing the place

where he used to live.

-The mental hospital in Japan? -Yes.

You're right.

That place would suit him better.

Framing Soo-ryeon for Logan's case was a stroke of genius.

I knew it. That's you, Seo-jin.

So you were the one who set up Baek Jun-ki?

You figured out that I was going to kill Logan,

took him away, locked him up, then made a deal with Logan's family?

You're insane, woman.

If I don't eat you first, I'll be eaten by you.

I need to wake up.

I never knew the night view of the penthouse is this amazing.

Soo-ryeon.

You lived in the lap of luxury.

I'm sure you have no regrets in this life.

You're next, Dan-tae.

Enjoy your happiness while it lasts.

I'll soon take away everything you have.

Logan.

Soo-ryeon.

I missed you.

-Is it really you, Logan? -Yes.

What happened?

If you were alive, why didn't you let me know?

How could I die, leaving you here alone?

I'll explain everything.

I'm sorry I couldn't come sooner.

I'm just glad you're alive.

I prayed and prayed,

hoping you'd be alive, no matter what you look like.

Dr. Ha. How did you find us here?

Dr. Ha helped me

come and see you here.

Well done, Logan.

In just 24 hours,

you'll be in a much better place.

Did I see it wrong?

Why did you fall in love with Soo-ryeon only to ruin your life like this?

You lost your money and youth. Isn't this unfair?

Don't be too sad though.

You'll soon see Soo-ryeon by your side.

What's wrong? Who did this to you?

This drug induces cardiac arrest.

I'll get the antidote. Give me a second.

Stay with me, Logan.

It was Cheon Seo-jin.

What did you say?

The one who locked me up here was…

Cheon Seo-jin.

-Cheon Seo-jin? -Alex.

Please get Alex.

Logan. Logan?

Logan, stay with me. Logan.

Hang in there, Logan.

You can't die here.

He's not in a good shape right now.

I gave him antidote in a hurry, but he was injected with poison.

Calm down. We can't find out anything this way.

Think of the reason why Logan asked me to tell only you.

If you get worked up too, then you'll end up ruining his plan.

He had to fight against death many times to get this far.

Please, let Logan have his way.

It looks like Seo-jin is planning tomorrow as the D-Day.

I think she's moving him somewhere.

But I don't know where it is.

For now, we just have to hope Logan stays strong.

Please come this way.

-Okay. -Yes, ma'am.

What is that?

Look.

Furniture?

Gosh, did you get a new sofa? What does it look like?

-It must be new. -Gosh, I'm so jealous.

My goodness. These look so elegant.

They are lovely.

I just got new sofas, that's all.

These are so luxurious.

It completely changed the ambiance.

The whole interior design looks different.

Show us a smile, Soo-ryeon.

Yes, Ms. Cheon.

He just arrived here.

He doesn't seem conscious.

Good.

Lead Soo-ryeon to the helper's room at seven o'clock sharp in the evening.

Move right on time without making a mistake.

I'll reward you handsomely.

Ma'am, do you have a moment?

There's a weird smell coming from behind the helper's room.

Really?

-Who are you? -Sim Soo-ryeon.

How dare you do this to Logan to avenge your daughter's death?

Logan?

That's Logan? What are you talking about?

I didn't know you were such a scary woman.

Poor Logan.

The woman he loved completely deceived him.

Logan!

I think his heart has stopped.

Take him to the hospital now!

We're taking this woman too.

Let me see Logan. Please let me see him.

Let me see Logan, please.

Logan! Please let me see him.

Logan!

What? Logan.

-Turn back the car. -What's going on?

Alex. Please get Alex now. Don't tell my other family members.

Ask him to do what I asked.

They must not lay a finger on Soo-ryeon.

Just for a while. You know what our parents are like.

Once they find out Dan-tae and Seo-jin are behind this,

they won't let them live.

It'll ruin my entire plan.

Please leave it up to me.

Let go!

You're being fooled.

Take me to Logan.

I need to see how he's doing.

I need to see him with my own eyes. Please!

You must have been in so much pain.

How can she be so harsh on you?

I'm all right.

I'm still alive.

I'm here with you,

so everything is fine.

I'll never forgive

Dan-tae or Seo-jin.

I won't show them mercy any longer.

I'll make them regret bitterly for messing with the wrong guy.

I never imagined Cheon Seo-jin was the one who had locked me up.

I also didn't expect her to get Dr. Ha into this.

She made me work for Dan-tae in return for my release from prison.

Then she told me to treat Logan, to just make sure he only stays alive.

She even threatened me by using Eun-byeol

to hide her identity from me.

How can she do something like that?

Let's make them think I'm a dead man for a while.

Do as you planned.

What about you?

I need to find Seok-kyung first.

She was…

my biological daughter.

Seok-kyung?

Yoon-hee was killed by Dan-tae while she was trying to expose that.

I'm not 100 percent sure, but Seo-jin seems to be involved too.

It's all my fault.

I asked Yoon-hee to find her.

She died because of me.

We have to expose everything to make sure Yoon-hee didn't die in vain.

I'll punish them in my own way.

I want her revenge too.

Let me join hands with you.

You…

Seok-hoon.

Mom, are you all right?

Is everything all right? What's going on right now?

What's going on with Mom?

I'm not sure.

If she did something like that to Logan,

I'm sure his family won't let her live.

What she did was way too reckless, and just over that dead girl of hers?

This house is

under your name and my name.

I guess we finally have only the rightful family under the roof.

Don't forget how you promised that you won't hurt Mom.

Don't worry.

I didn't lay a finger on your mom.

Well, even if I want to, I can't.

Logan's family took her away.

Don't do anything to make your dad get suspicious of you.

You're his only blood, so he'll trust you.

You shouldn't poke around for a while. Remain careful until we find Seok-kyung.

Now.

Let's get to work.

Have you heard from Seok-kyung?

I couldn't reach her.

I'm sure she's busy trying to adapt to her new school.

I'm sure she'll be fine.

You're such a softie because you took after me.

Don't worry about something like that.

Just enjoy everything you're about to get.

You're the only one I'll trust.

Hey, what about Seok-kyung?

Hey, you still haven't found her?

She has never lived without money, so she's bound to come home.

I'm coming down now.

-What do you think you're doing? -What about you?

Do you think you can kill him with this?

-Come with me. -Let me go.

-Come. -Let go!

Who do you think you are to meddle with my life?

Let me go!

Seok-kyung.

I think she's hurt. Take her to a hospital first.

I didn't bring her because I like her. I just don't want further bloodshed here.

Thank you.

How are you hurt? How bad is it?

You're such a mess.

You need to see a doctor first.

It's nothing.

How come it's nothing?

Nothing is broken or torn!

Why do you keep making us worried?

Mom and I were worried sick. Why didn't you call us?

Where have you been all along?

If something happened, you should've looked for me first.

Why are you worried about me now?

You wouldn't have cared even if I died.

Don't say that.

I'm not your real sister anyway.

How…

How did you know?

Dad told me everything.

That's why he did this to me.

Because I'm not his kid.

He got between Mom and me,

he used me to take the penthouse from Mom,

and he changed the title on everything I owned to his name

because of that reason.

It's because I was Mom's daughter.

Because I was Sim Soo-ryeon's daughter.

Because I was Min Seol-a's twin.

Who cares about that?

It's not a big deal.

How is that not a big deal?

You and I are complete strangers, who don't share a drop of blood.

You and I'll have to take different paths. Nothing has changed.

You are…

my sister until the day I die. I'll keep you safe.

I won't let Dad hurt you.

I won't let him. So just do as I say.

I already know you're working with Dad now.

Are you planning on keeping everything?

Is that why you kicked Mom out to stick around with Dad?

You don't even mean anything you say. You know me too well to say such nonsense.

Do you feel better when you say something like that?

Let me go.

Let go!

Just let me go.

Let go!

I was so scared.

It's all right. It must have been tough.

Dohae Construction

belongs to whom?

That company was bought under Logan's corporate name.

Sim Soo-ryeon was sure that you were the culprit.

So naturally, we sided with her.

I'll give you the construction right for Cheonsu District

as you suggested.

Will Dohae Construction take its hands off

from Cheonsu District as of today?

That was very simple and easy.

WAIVER OF RIGHTS

I'm so sorry for Logan.

I hoped he would survive and expose the truth.

But still,

he passed away with his family around.

It's a relief in a way.

My family plans to return to the States now.

What will you do

about Soo-ryeon and Yoon-chul?

That's for my family to take care of.

Alex, Logan's older brother, is on it.

He won't let them off easily.

I'm sorry for the misunderstanding.

You two will soon receive the compensation that's due to you.

I can't believe how everything worked out like a charm.

Chairman Joo.

The more I get to know you, the more I realize how competent you are.

Once Cheong-a Construction becomes the constructor for Cheonsu District,

the stock price for Cheong-a Group will also begin to rise again.

I'll make sure the apartment price per unit hits

a historic record this time.

People are already saying how land deals will be permitted there soon.

I see.

Now.

Good work, everyone.

My gosh, I love the smell of money.

Anyway, what about our stooge's money?

-Nothing for him? -Oh, right.

Is something going on with Dr. Ha? I couldn't reach him.

By this time, I'm sure he has been fed

to some fish in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

Fed to fish?

Soo-ryeon was the one who blew up Logan's car.

She had been torturing him in a secret room in the penthouse.

The final revenge for her daughter was Logan.

And Yoon-chul helped Soo-ryeon out.

-What? -Wait.

How does this make any sense?

Forget Soo-ryeon.

Why would Yoon-chul do that?

What did Logan do to him?

I'm sure he did it for money.

I hear Soo-ryeon offered a huge amount.

I can't believe he did something like that to an American conglomerate.

-I see. -It's a shame.

Thanks to him, there's more money for us.

I heard you two worked hard for this.

Please keep up your good work until we're all done.

And this is a gift from me, from Cheong-a Group.

My gosh.

Gosh, this couple is way too generous.

You two are so wild.

Let's make a toast. Cheers.

Stay here for a while.

You'll be in danger if Dad finds you.

How's your wound?

I'm fine, really.

You should go now.

I want to get some rest.

Let's meet up with Mom this evening. I'll call her.

-I don't want to see her. -Why not?

Will you keep making her worried?

We looked through the entire prayer house to find you.

Things are tough for her right now. Ever since Ms. Oh passed away,

she's been fighting against Dad without getting any sleep.

That woman again?

Stop talking about Ro-na's mom. I'm sick and tired of this.

It's not like her death is my fault.

It wasn't your fault, but you aren't completely unrelated.

She found out you were Mom's real daughter.

That's why she passed away in a chase with Dad.

What?

You of all people

should show some respect for her death.

She was even framed for kidnapping Eun-byeol as she died,

because of Ms. Jin's lies.

Ms. Jin?

Then how about tteokbokki?

Ms. Jin, what are you doing here?

Let go. I'm busy.

Are you looking for Ha Eun-byeol?

Do you know where my Eun-byeol is?

I told Ms. Jin…

that Eun-byeol was at Ro-na's place.

What?

Ms. Jin asked me to stall you and Rona at the tteokbokki place.

Something like that wouldn't have happened if I hadn't told Ms. Jin.

Did Ms. Oh die because of me?

Did you really tell her?

Tell me what exactly happened.

You tell me first.

Did something happen to Mom?

What did Dad do to Mom?

Gosh, why won't Soo-ryeon pick up?

And she suddenly handed over Dohae's construction right.

My gosh.

You startled me.

What are you doing? I'm busy.

Hey.

Let me go.

I have nothing to say to you.

Unless you want to kill Dan-tae now, I refuse to negotiate with you.

What's going on?

Let's leave.

What?

I booked our plane tickets and found a school for Je-ni too.

We have enough money to support Je-ni abroad.

We can live happily again, at a place where no one knows us.

Did you get this money from Dan-tae?

Is he throwing money around after getting the construction right?

Cheong-a Construction will end up taking Cheonsu District anyway.

That way, our land will be sold high.

It's time to cut ties with Soo-ryeon. Let's leave.

How do you call yourself a human?

You destroyed another family, then what now? Live happily again?

I still have a difficult time facing Ro-na.

-I feel sorry to her to death. -I only care about my kid.

-And Ro-na can have some money too. -Someone died. A person has died!

To Ro-na, Yoon-hee was like the sky.

If her sky is gone, why would she care about money?

-Ma-ri. -Soo-ryeon has disappeared.

You must know where she is.

That scumbag.

Did Dan-tae kidnap her somewhere and threatened her?

Otherwise, there is no way Dohae Construction would suddenly give up.

Why do you care?

We just need to take the money.

Wait, no way.

Have you been lurking around Dan-tae for money?

You idiot.

You will never be able to run off.

You'll pay back for everything you've ever done to Yoon-hee.

You need to expose what Dan-tae did before you go.

If anything happens to Soo-ryeon,

I'll throw you in prison myself, and that's final.

Did Dan-tae rub off on you already?

Darn you.

-My gosh. -The phone is turned off.

-Please leave… -Why isn't Ms. Sim coming?

-Goodness. -Her phone is turned off too.

-Goodness. -What is this?

-My gosh. -Well…

I'm not sure if it's my place to say this.

But Ms. Sim is now

on the run after she was charged

with murder, kidnapping, and illegal confinement.

-What? -Oh my.

-How'd it happen? -Gosh.

It was already shameful for her to work as a barmaid.

So if this gets out in the news, Cheong-a Foundation will suffer

from disgrace we can't recover from.

There's no need to wait for her.

Let's take a vote by a show of hands.

If you agree to have Ms. Sim dismissed, please raise your hand.

Well, Ms. Sim Soo-ryeon's dismissal

has been agreed upon and finalized unanimously.

We should go ahead and vote for the new chief director.

I mean, we have our former chief director here.

Sounds great.

Me?

If you are willing to give this humbled woman another chance,

I will offer even my heart for Cheong-a Foundation.

Turn this office back to the way it was before my inauguration.

Yes, ma'am.

Welcome back to the office, Ms. Cheon.

We need to make the school bigger.

You're right.

6TH CHIEF DIRECTOR, CHEON MYUNG-SOO

Dad, I've returned to the place you left for me,

back to Cheong-a Foundation.

It wasn't me.

It really wasn't me!

Cheon Seo-jin is behind all this.

I just did as she told me to do so.

I've been fooled too!

Are you confessing everything you've done?

-Logan. -What's wrong?

Are you shocked

that I'm still alive and fine?

How can you

betray my trust like that?

I was trying to help you.

You never

wanted to kill Dan-tae to begin with.

You didn't care about taking revenge on your parents.

You put on a show saying you'll kill Dan-tae

as bait to get closer to me, didn't you?

Why?

Did you want my money?

Is that why you worked with Seo-jin?

No.

I was grateful for how you got me out of that hospital.

I mean it!

But Cheon Seo-jin's offer

shook me around.

Because she paid off your gambling debt?

She offered to give me half of whatever she makes.

I thought

I could be compensated for the life I lost.

You and Dan-tae

didn't just share the same name.

You two are

both scumbags.

That's why I'm going to send you back there.

Yes, that place. That one.

You know where.

You can…

rot there for life.

-No. -You crazy idiot.

I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Logan.

I'm sorry.

I'm so sorry.

No.

Logan! I don't want to go back.

Logan!

No, please!

I don't want to go back!

You found Seok-kyung?

Where is she?

Bring her here now. No, I'll go there now.

I don't think she's ready to see you yet.

She seems very confused. Please give her some more time.

Why would a daughter need any time to meet her mother?

Please tell her that I'm waiting just as I always have,

so she can come any time.

Before that, I heard something very important from her today.

On the day of Ms. Oh's death, Seok-kyung ran into Ms. Jin.

I'm sure Ms. Jin was the one who kidnapped Eun-byeol.

Seok-hoon.

I'll call you back later.

Finally.

I finally have this place in my hands.

I'll tear down this store

and turn this place into a landmark for Cheonsu District.

Why did you want this place so badly?

This is…

where I used to live.

This was where

your grandmother lived.

My grandmother?

-I thought it belonged to Mom's dad. -No.

My family and I lived here.

Here at 27 Cheonsu District.

And…

this is where…

my mother was buried.

Mom.

Jun-ki.

Jun-ki, you…

You must live.

Earn a lot of money and become successful.

Build yourself a nice house too.

You must live…

and become a wealthy man.

No, Mom.

Please don't die.

Don't die. Please don't leave me…

Jun-hee.

Wake up.

Please breathe.

Everything began here,

and it's time for me to complete it.

First, I plan to erect Zeus Tower in memory of my mother.

It will be lit 24 hours a day, and it'll be visible from anywhere.

The tallest building in the world.

And all of this

is yours, Seok-hoon.

Imagine that.

How amazing is it?

Aren't you grateful that you're my son?

We must find Jin Boon-hong first.

That woman holds the key to the truth of that night.

-Do you know where she lives? -No, I don't.

But I know how to find her.

Leave it to me.

I'm curious about something.

Why did you help Logan?

Because of Yoon-hee.

Because that was

what Yoon-hee would have done.

The call cannot be connected.

The call cannot be connected.

Eun-byeol, pick up.

Eun-byeol. Where are you now?

Eun-byeol, why can't I reach you?

Is everything okay?

I came to Hera Palace to see you. Make some time for me.

MY DEAR EUN-BYEOL

EUN-BYEOL

EUN-BYEOL

Eun-byeol, I heard you failed the audition.

An SNU student lost to a high school grad?

I heard Ro-na impressed everyone.

Did you see the posts by the kids who were there?

-Want to see a video of her audition? -Yes.

CHEONG-A RESIDENT MUSICIAN AUDITION

Amazing, right? Isn't she incredible?

My gosh, she's really good.

CHEONG-A RESIDENT MUSICIAN AUDITION

Eun-byeol!

Eun-byeol! Please wake up.

Eun-byeol!

Eun-byeol! Wake up!

Eun-byeol!

We'll die, Eun-byeol!

Eun-byeol! Please…

"Eun-byeol!"

"Eun-byeol, please wake up!"

"Eun-byeol! Wake up, please."

Eun-byeol, what's wrong? Look at me.

Are you all right?

When did you all get here?

What are you talking about? We were studying for finals together.

What? I was?

Gosh, look at you weaseling out of this.

-You're a good actress. -Guys, please.

Eun-byeol!

Are you okay?

Ms. Jin.

Drink up.

Why are you so pale?

Have you been eating well?

This is not good. Let's go to my place.

I'll make you all of your favorite foods.

Ms. Jin.

Can you get me more of that drug?

Those pills?

Well… It's not easy to get them these days.

Please, do it for me.

No one cares about me as much as you do.

Without it, I get splitting headaches.

Please get some for me.

Okay, I will.

For you, I can do anything.

Don't worry. I'll get you some.

They stopped the clinical test because that drug was too dangerous.

People showed signs of early dementia. It's too dangerous.

Do you know that?

Why do you care?

I said it doesn't matter.

Get me as much as you can next time. Got it?

You knew that, and you still gave it to my daughter?

Mr. Ha?

Eun-byeol wanted it.

She asked for it first.

Don't lie to me.

Do you think I'd believe you?

You destroyed my daughter.

Her parents destroyed her.

The two of you make Eun-byeol miserable.

I will protect her. I won't let anyone take her!

My gosh.

What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be making dinner?

I don't want to go home because I can't stand Kyu-jin.

But I have nowhere else to go.

My entire life has been in vain.

I've had to serve my in-laws and take care of Kyu-jin all my life,

so I don't know how to have fun. I don't know how to do anything.

Why did I live like this?

My goodness.

I want to get back at him big time,

but I have no clue what I should do.

Get up.

What?

I'll show you what you can do, so come with me.

What are you waiting for? Come on!

I can't believe this woman.

What time is it now?

Her child and the family were all she ever knew.

But now, she's always out and ignores all the housework.

What's her problem, seriously?

Honey! Where are you?

What?

Sang-a! Where are you now?

I'm coming now…

Gosh.

This won't even make that jerk flinch.

See? Your phone is blowing up.

My goodness, he's going crazy.

Gosh.

Stay here for just two hours, okay?

-What is this? -Soju.

You need to smell like alcohol to make Kyu-jin mad.

Ma-ri!

My gosh!

I look up to you… I mean,

may I love you?

-Ma-ri! -My goodness.

Who are you people?

Why did you bring me here? Do you want to die?

Untie me!

What deal did you make with Joo Dan-tae?

Did he promise to give you Eun-byeol if you do as he says?

Deal? What are you talking about?

Why would I do business with that moron?

Eun-byeol is my daughter anyway.

Do you think you can take her from me?

I love Eun-byeol more than you do.

You never visited her after you got out of jail.

All you care about is getting your revenge.

-You crazy witch! -That day,

you abducted Eun-byeol, and Yoon-hee died while chasing you.

Tell me everything you know. What happened that day?

-I don't know. -Tell me!

I don't know anything!

I had nothing to do with Oh Yoon-hee's death.

-Darn it. -Long time no see.

Ms. Jin.

Logan?

You're alive?

I sure am.

Thanks to these two.

Who did this to you?

Joo Dan-tae. That jerk set up a bomb to get rid of me.

But you joined hands with that scumbag

and even talked to the media

to turn Oh Yoon-hee into a criminal and ruin my reputation

on top of that.

I mean, how…

How could you betray me?

How could you? Didn't you come to Korea to help me?

I really had no idea he would do something so horrible.

All I ever wanted was Eun-byeol, nothing else.

I know.

It's because of Michelle, your deceased daughter.

But you know what?

Michelle didn't die because of you.

The person who left her outside that night

was your drunk husband.

No.

She died because of me.

I ran away. I was scared of my husband,

so I left the poor thing behind.

Her hands…

Her face was so cold.

Had I got to her sooner, I could have saved her.

I won't leave her alone ever again.

Eun-byeol shouldn't be left alone either.

I must go to her!

Snap out of it, you lunatic!

-Eun-byeol isn't your daughter. -No!

She is my daughter!

She falls asleep in my arms and smiles brightly at me.

She tells me everything.

She likes the food I make,

and she always waits for me to come home.

That lunatic!

I won't let you anywhere near her again!

Logan!

Logan!

Logan, please.

Please let me see Eun-byeol.

To me, she means more than my life.

Please help me, Logan.

That depends on what you do.

What happened that day? Tell me everything.

Tell her,

Ms. Jin.

That day…

Oh Yoon-hee drove after me,

so I called Joo Dan-tae.

I found Eun-byeol.

I'm leaving with her now, but Oh Yoon-hee is following us.

Help me.

Oh Yoon-hee? She's there now?

Then I should help you, of course.

I'll send you an address. Lure her there.

When I arrived at the address,

he suddenly tied me up and took me somewhere.

-I don't know what happened next. -Let go!

Don't lie to me.

Your car was found where Yoon-hee died.

I really don't know!

I was locked up somewhere.

He let me go under the condition that I talk to the media.

That's all I know.

I don't believe this woman.

When the car was pulled out of the water,

the dashcam was already gone.

Ms. Jin.

Look into my eyes as you answer.

The dashcam.

You really don't know where it is?

I really have no idea. You can ask the police.

Jin Boon-hong!

You'd better tell me the truth.

I'm giving you one last chance.

The police don't know this either.

To hide the fact that I'd kidnapped Eun-byeol,

I hired someone to find it, but I haven't seen the footage either.

It's company property, so I can't get into the system.

So…

where is the dashcam now?

It's been six months. Do you think the footage is still there?

If it's the last video from that day, it should still be there

because there's no new footage.

Eun-byeol!

Get her out, now!

I'll move once she's out, so get her out now!

Hang in there, okay?

Eun-byeol, wake up. Gosh, Eun-byeol.

Eun-byeol!

Seo-jin, I can't…

It was Cheon Seo-jin.

She killed Yoon-hee.

This is insane.

She's insane. Why… Just why?

After killing Yoon-hee like that,

she even tried to get rid of me to take everything.

Do you think she's working with Joo Dan-tae?

No.

I bet he thinks he killed Yoon-hee.

But that doesn't cancel out his crimes.

Just to put pressure on Yoo Dong-pil,

he used Yoon-hee's corpse.

He killed her twice.

Did Eun-byeol see all this?

Is that why she asked Jin Boon-Hong for the pills?

Cheon Seo-jin…

She got Eun-byeol in this mess.

I will never forgive her for this.

Never!

They will soon

suffer the consequences.

Oh, no.

Mr. Yoo. Are you all right?

Mind your own business!

You know that Je-ni passed Cheong-a's resident musician audition, right?

It would have been nice to have you at the party.

Why must you

always poke your nose into everything?

Je-ni did an amazing job.

Look. I'm sure you wanted to see this.

She looked stunning at the audition.

CHEONG-A RESIDENT MUSICIAN AUDITION

Je-ni always told me that she takes after her dad.

That's why she's loyal and tender-hearted.

Obviously, she takes after her father, not some stranger.

She cares about you a lot.

She always looks at the photo of you and her before bed.

She misses you.

I'm not sure what happened,

but if you speak from your heart to Ms. Kang and Je-ni,

won't they understand?

Tell me whatever you need. I'll help you.

And please try to cut down on drinking.

Jerk…

Yoo Dong-pil.

You are the worst scumbag.

I know I don't deserve this,

but let me be your father for once.

Just this once.

Kang Ma-ri.

Ma-ri.

What do you want me to do first? I'll do as you say.

Then I'll gladly be punished.

SIM SOO-RYEON

SIM SOO-RYEON

Mom.

-Let's take a picture together. -Sure.

One, two, three.

No bunny looks like that.

Isn't it cute?

Come on. It's cute.

SIM SOO-RYEON

Where have you been?

You should lie low for the time being.

-If Joo Dan-tae sees you… -Can I ask you for a favor?

Here.

I saved this money for Ro-na. Please give this to her.

Why don't you do it yourself? It's not too late.

You can still be her father.

Yoon-hee told me.

I don't deserve to be her dad. And Ro-na wouldn't want that either.

However,

I will make sure to take down Joo Dan-tae and Cheon Seo-jin

for Yoon-hee.

I will do whatever it takes.

I'll avenge Yoon-hee's death with my own hands.

At least Yoon-hee won't be lonely.

Both you and I want to pay her back for what we owe her.

If something happens to me,

please take care of Ro-na.

Stay by her side to the end.

NO CALLER ID

Hello?

Hello? Go ahead.

Seok-kyung?

Seok-kyung. It's you, right?

Where are you now?

-I'll come. Let's talk in person-- -I have something to tell you.

Chief Director Cheon Myung-soo didn't die of a heart attack.

He was murdered.

By Ms. Cheon Seo-jin.

Seok-kyung. What are you talking about?

I saw the video.

Eun-byeol had it. Eun-byeol witnessed it.

Well…

Whatever it is that you're trying to do… I hope you succeed.

Seok-kyung. Wait, Seok-kyung!

Eun-byeol. You're coming to my inauguration party, right?

What are you doing?

Can't you see? I'm eating.

I haven't eaten anything since yesterday. I'm starving.

What are you talking about? You just ate.

You had a whole bowl of curry.

I did?

When?

Eun-byeol.

"Get Eun-byeol out first!"

"Get her out, quick."

"My leg!"

I'll move once she's out, so get her out now!

Hurry, Seo-jin!

My leg!

"My leg!"

Eun-byeol! Eun-byeol, listen!

What are you doing?

What's with you? What are you saying?

Why? What did I say?

You don't remember?

Gosh, I keep getting headaches.

Oh, your inauguration ceremony is today.

Make sure you look stunning.

I should get ready too.

Eun-byeol, what's wrong with you?

I thought you had forgotten it all.

It's because of the stress from the audition.

It's because of Bae Ro-na.

It'll be okay, right?

Yes.

Everything will be fine soon.

My daughter, Eun-byeol,

will lead the Cheong-a Foundation.

By the way, why did you want to come here?

We have nothing to do with the foundation now.

Our kids have graduated.

Has listening to me ever done you any harm?

No, never.

Well, something fun is about to happen. So just be quiet and watch.

Oh, how's your husband?

But she sent a congratulatory message. Let's watch it together.

KOREA'S MOST PRESTIGIOUS TOWN

-Seriously? -What is that?

-What's going on? -Unbelievable.

Isn't that Chairman Joo?

That's Chairman Joo.

-What is that? -This is awful.

My gosh!

I hope you like what I prepared for you,

Mr. Joo Dan-tae.

Darn it.

Cheon Seo-jin, that psycho.

Say something!

-Chairman Joo! -A comment, please!

Chairman Joo's present just arrived.

He didn't have to.

My dear wife, Director Cheon Seo-jin.

You are my joy and happiness.

From your husband, Joo Dan-tae.

My gosh.

-Gosh. -I'm curious what he sent you.

Show us, Ms. Cheon.

Shall we open it together?

My husband, Chairman Joo Dan-tae, sent me a precious gift.

Its price is 450 billion won.

A painting by Leonardo da Vinci, Salvator Mundi

Let me present it to you.

CHEON SEO-JIN KILLED CHEON MYUNG-SOO!

-What? -What is that?

CHEON SEO-JIN KILLED CHEON MYUNG-SOO!

Is this true?

Can you give us a comment?

Did you really kill Mr. Cheon Myung-soo?

Give us a comment!

Who is it?

-Who did this? -Tell us!

-Tell us what's going on. -No.

This is not true. No! I swear, this is not true.

No photos, please. I said, it's not true.

Joo Seok-kyung.

Did she end up telling her dad?

It's not true!

Move. Get out of my way.

My gosh.

What is that?

Ms. Cheon killed her father?

What did I tell you?

I said something fun was about to happen.

Joo Dan-tae!

Cheon Seo-jin!

How dare you mess with me like this?

Look who's talking!

We had agreed to take it to the grave.

After asking me to get rid of Baek Jun-ki, how dare you stab me in the back?

Don't you know that ruining my ceremony would hurt Cheong-a Group too?

What the heck are you talking about?

Why are you digging up the past? It won't help either of us.

Do you have proof that I killed my father?

Darn it. Get off me!

Let go! Get off me!

Let go!

We are all here to punish Dan-tae and Seo-jin.

-A wanted criminal? -You have just three days.

-Jun-ki. -I'm the one who will die.

-Are you scared? That mean witch. -What brings you by?

I have to go somewhere with you.

I miss you, my beautiful daughter.

-Five hundred billion won? -Five hundred billion won?

-I won't go down like this! -They've turned on each other

I don't trust the police or the judiciary. I'll punish them myself.
