And then I wake up.

This is my street.

And that is the house that I grew up in.

And fled.

This is where I used to
sneak out with my sister

and smoke cigarettes,

on the rock, at two in the morning.

And that's the autumn foliage.

flour on each other

In the kitchen,

I feel her, because
she used to love for me

to show her how to make
the old family recipes,

our Hungarian recipes.

And whenever we would cook

she would like put her
arms around me and hug me

and sometimes give me a kiss.

So I feel her a lot right here

by the stove where we used to cook.

I have to keep it just the way it was

when she was here last.

I really feel her in here

and sometimes the music
box goes off on its own.

- It's usually in the
middle of the night, late.

She loved this room.

Well, I think angels are,

after someone passes and
leaves their physical body,

they go to heaven, and,

they come back in the form of an angel.

missing off of this road.

be walking on the street-

to her, but I mean,

I always saw her around.

- Well, they had us all get together

and just go through the woods.

There's a lot of paths are in these woods,

a lot of places that
people could get lost,

but us locals, we know it, so...

- [Nancy] Yeah.

- We looked for a few days,
but we didn't find her.

- [Nancy] Yeah, no one turned up, but-

- [Robbie] And then, yeah,
can you talk a little bit

about that too?
- Yeah, I mean,

we came together as a community

and we tried to, you know,
look for her and stuff

and, you know, like I said,

we all know the back of these woods

like the back of our hands

so we just sort of searched for her

but unfortunately nothing came up

and it was really sad and scary

because you feel like you
kind of know everybody here

and, you know, when someone goes missing,

it's sort of, you know,
it's just a little-

It was sad.
- It was eye opening.

- Everybody was very quiet.

- [Robbie] What do you think happened?

- Well, I think somebody killed her.

- [Nancy] That's morbid.

I mean, I don't like
to assume that she died

but it's been a couple years now

and no one's even heard from her and so.

- I mean, we looked.

- No, we did, yeah, we searched.

- [Heather] Under things and paths and

- Nobody was able to find her.

- The lake, we looked, you know?

Unless she just wanted a
whole new life and ran away.

- I doubt-that would
be the fortunate thing,

but unfortunately-

You know, it's kind of a big story.

and you either keep going or you just,

- So normally when we're
conducting a search

especially in this type of terrain

is that we'd have people line up

usually where you can see each other

see the terrain around you

and then we just walk,
kinda staying in line,

and just looking and observing,

See, if you see actual
footprints, especially it's-

This time of year's a lot
of moisture on the ground,

there's a lot of things you
could see people's footprints.

You'd see scraping marks if
the person was being dragged.

They might drop items on the ground

anything that doesn't fit,
that looks out of place.

- [Robbie] How far out into the
woods do you think they went

in my sister's case?

- No more than a couple thousand feet

probably less than a half a mile.

- [Robbie] So they
wouldn't have gone deep in?

- They wouldn't have
been able to go deep in

with the terrain, the type of year

especially she was just
walking on the street.

She wasn't prepared with
hiking boots and other stuff

and thick, warm clothing.

I don't think she'd make it very far.

- [Robbie] So if you
were looking years later

what would you be looking for?

- So then we're obviously
looking for something different

because you won't have the smell.

You won't have anything
where a search and rescue dog

would be able to find it.

We'd be using cadaver dogs.

Three years out in this area

it would be nothing but bones
is all you would probably find

maybe some scraps of clothing.

Unfortunately, animals, we do have bears

and we have foxes here, that uh,

bobcats, they would actually get to a body

if it was buried shallow in the ground

and dig it up and consume
the flesh that was on it.

So you'd have that.

If it was buried deeper in the ground

you'd have worms getting to it

and the decay that's there.

So you would, again, you'd
either have that depression

and you'd have bones underneath there

or you'd have bones on the surface

and maybe some loose
scraps of clothing or stuff

to identify.
