This wormhole is unpredictable and unstable

and no one including you should even consider going through

until we know more about it.

- Josie, we'll solve this mystery,

but we're going to approach it like real scientists,

not like mad cap rouge scientists.

- [Josie] Okay, so my mom drops me at this boarding school,

and I'm thinking it's like all the other places I've gone.

(upbeat music)

Students,

teachers, principal, you know like normal schools.

But it's not.

Weird stuff happens here, really weird stuff.

And what's this guy doing here?

Is this floating sphere the key to the mystery?

Something's going on and someone's behind it,

and we are gonna get to the bottom of it.

- There is nothing wrong at Blake Holsey High.

(portal sparking)

(somber music)

- Well, someone's gotta say it, so I guess it'll be me.

What are we supposed to do now?

- Maybe we should go after her.

- [Professor Z] No.

- Where would we go anyway, 1879, 1987?

She could be anywhere in time.

- Besides, we can't take the chance of losing someone else.

- That's right, Corrine.

We have to approach this by employing logic.

Scientific inquiry.

We need to gather information, record our observations,

review our findings, and form a hypothesis

regarding Vaughn and Josie's possible whereabouts.

Now,

what's our first move?

Logically speaking.

- See if there are any patterns

as to when the wormhole opens and where it opens to.

- We should also do a historical profile of the school.

- Strange events in the past might give us more information

on the wormholes behavior today.

- Exactly.

- Good. Lucas, you gather what we need

to begin exploring the wormhole.

This is gonna go way wrong, isn't it?

- We will examine the worm hole

but we will do so properly using this safety line.

If the worm hole opens unexpectedly or either of us falls in

the other will be able to safely retrieve

the endangered party.

(playful music)

- What if we both fall in at the same time?

That's crazy, of course we won't both fall in.

- Now all we need is to attach the monitoring equipment

to a test subject and send it through the hole.

NASA used chimpanzees, what do we have?

that I couldn't interfere with.

- Today is the day your father took the chi ball from me.

If Victor doesn't take it,

there's no device, no test, no accident at Paradigm.

Maybe that's the event we're not supposed to interfere with.

- Whoa. So what are you saying,

that the janitor wants my father to get the ball?

- I don't know but we've got a chance to get the ball back

and I'm taking it.

(bell chiming)

- So this is my dad's room.

- According to the time,

he took the ball from me just a few hours before I arrived,

he must have stashed it here somewhere.

- Okay, Josie are you sure us taking the ball back from him

is the right thing to do?

- I'm not sure of anything anymore,

but I do know that Victor plus floating sphere

equals trouble.

- Yeah, but what if the janitor is right,

mean that we shouldn't interfere?

- He knew where you were and he didn't tell me.

I'm not taking any advice from him anymore.

(deep exhaling)

- Okay. My cranium is officially about to implode.

- What else can we do?

- So you're saying that the wormhole

is actually several wormholes?

- Yes. Professor Z and I...

- And Mr. Bunny Pants.

- And Mr. Bunny Pants, he showed us different tunnels,

all branching off of one core tunnel

that leaves Professor Z's office.

- Now we're hypothesizing that each of these tunnels

leads to a different significant time period.

- Your results would make sense with the data

Corrine and I uncovered.

- We put together a pretty comprehensive list

of the strange events that happen at school.

Most of them seem to be clustered around particular dates.

April 11th, 1977 when Victor stole the ball from Josie,

which Josie and Vaughn just came back from.

And October 4th, 1987, date of the Paradigm accident.

- Which also seems to be the date

to which the core tunnel out of Z's office is connected to.

- Interestingly, the more we concentrated on which tunnel

we wanted to send Mr. Bunny Pants down,

the easier it was for us to pick a specific time

and place as a destination for him.

It's almost as though the power of thought

helps to navigate down certain tunnels to certain times

in the vortex.

- So if the core tunnel is connected to 1987,

then the accident at Paradigm is the key to everything.

- Guys, my dad is not responsible

for everything that's been happening at the school.

If Victor had never stolen the chi ball,

he could never have powered the time device

and none of these things would've ever happened.

- We don't know that.

- Look, we've learned a lot about the way the vortex works.

Now a lot more study has to be done

before we can come up with any reasonable hypothesis

about the strange events at this school

and their possible connection to Paradigm.
