After a while, the spinning clock will be running slower

than the stationary one

because in a faster moving system, time slows down.

going fast enough to slow time on the spinning clock?

(alarm starts) (keyboard clicking)

but that time around her was just moving slower for her

than everyone else.

- So slow that, to Josie,

it would seem like everything around her was frozen.

- If time really had come to a stop,

Lucas never would've seen the note and the watch Josie left.

- If we place her watch

in the faster moving system of our project

and then slow the system down...

- It might slow Josie down enough

to bring her back into our frame of reference.

If it works, I'd say it's brilliant.

- [Marshall] How fast did you say

you could make that thing go?

- [Lucas] Let's find out.

(suspenseful music) (machine spinning)
