I don't know which direction
is east, but hopefully

the sun starts to crest

on that horizon at some point.

That's terrifying.

[Jonny] It's like the Bermuda
Triangle of Southeast Asia.

With no food, no water,
and no clothes...

[Jamie grunts in pain]

I've just stepped
in a stingray.

[Adam grunts in pain]

...for 35 days...

Can they adapt
their skills...

my female parts.

like, a beach line,

a rock, or anything.

There's no sense of navigation
about which direction to go to.

"Is there a shark?

[Dani] I think this is
pretty deep water that we're in.

In the murky depths
of the Philippine Sea,

some of the deadliest sharks
in the world hunt by night,

including 10-foot-long
hammerheads

and aggressive tiger sharks,

which attack by speeding up
toward their prey from below.

Smaller but equally fatal is
the sea krait,

one of the most venomous snakes
in the world.

Let's not be on anybody's
dinner menu tonight, y'all.

Nah.

This is the scariest [bleep]
I've ever been in.

This is nuts.

[Ally] Oh, my God.

It dropped us in the middle
of the ocean at night.

[Shawn] I feel so disoriented
right now.

I can't even hear like
the crashing of waves on rocks.

[Patrick speaking]

Smart.
Very smart.

Just try not to splash
too much.

It's just gonna attract

sharks.

[Adam] This is the most exposed

you could possibly be
in any situation.

I feel helpless.

I don't know how much longer
I can make it.

[Darrin]
We just need to stay calm.

Sun's gonna be up
in a little bit.

I think I can see some blue
light, early gray light.

I think I can start to see
some land behind us now.

[Darrin] I think we're gonna
have to swim.

I can't swim.

You've never swam before this?

I did all my swimming
lessons online.

-I practiced in bed for hours.
-[Ana Lis speaking]

-[Malu] Yeah.

Just relax, calm, hold on
to this thing,

and lean forward and kick.

-We'll be fine.

I am ready to, like,
get out of this water.

[Adam speaking]

-[Mandy] Oh, my God.
-[Jonny] The sun is coming up.

I mean, that's the most
beautiful thing I've ever seen.

Like, it's literally, you can
see outlines of stuff now.

It's literally...

[Jonny] The whole island is
being illuminated.

-We can finally see the beach.
-[Shawn] That's an island!

-[Ally] Do you guys see that?
-That's an island!

[Ally] Whoo!

Let's try to kick over there.

There's so many different
islands that we could be

stranded on.

Let's just hope we're picking
the right one.

On the outer reaches of
the northern Philippines,

the four teams have been
shipwrecked within a 20 square

mile drop zone,

a perilous stretch of ocean

known by locals
as the Lost Coast.

Since the area's first recorded
shipwreck in 1601,

hundreds of ships
and thousands of sailors

from all over the world
have met their fate

on and around these
uninhabited islands.

Surrounded by
shark-infested waters,

razor-sharp coral reefs,

and volcanic rock,
their stark beauty belie

their brutal nature.

With beaches blasted
by scorching heat

and pummeled by typhoon-level
storms that can rage for days,

the impenetrable jungles rise
steeply from the shore.

A dense breeding ground
of disease-carrying insects

and lethal parasites,
crawling with deadly pit vipers

and highly venomous
caterpillars, and some say

the cursed spirits of all
who attempted to survive here

and failed.

[panting]

[tense music playing]

-[Jamie] You good, Dani?
-[Dani] Yeah.

It's been exhausting.
It's been a long night.

We've been on this little raft
in the water for hours.

[Jarrell] It's not a race.
We gotta rest.

-It's OK.
-[Jamie] Yep.

[Dani]
But my previous challenges
have taught me that I have

a lot of strength inside of me.

My background is
in wilderness medicine.

I am a volunteer search
and rescue instructor,

and I've spent 114 days
in the wild.

-[Charlie] Glad that you
did this. Thank you.
-[Dani] You're welcome.

I know the typical survivalist,

you don't really think of
a 100-pound vegetarian.

You don't eat meat.

No.
No food with faces.

But I'm definitely more
of a bush-crafter.

This is amazing.
This looks so good.

[Dani] And if I don't have
a lot with me,

I can think of various ways

to make something out
of nothing.

[Gary] Dani, you did it!

[Dani] But I'm a land creature.

I feel very out of my element
in the ocean.

Oh, we're so close.
It's like home stretch.

[Ana Lis] Keep pushing, guys.

You can do it, Malu.

[Darrin] Remaining calm is
the key to survival.

When you panic, you die.

No matter what happens,
just keep a calm head

and pull through.

Since I was five years old,
I've been out in the bush

learning to live off the land.
It's not survival to me.

It's a way of life.

I've done 115 days on
"Naked and Afraid" challenges,

and all the skills that I bring
are always the best skill set

out there.
Rat for breakfast.

I love archery hunting.

Yeah!

That's how we get some food
in the bush.

I'm a blacksmith.

I've done every trade there is
in building.

And when I got to
"Last One Standing" three,

I won.
[victorious howling]

Last One Standing!

So this is gonna be interesting.

I didn't come here to be
a leader, but it looks like

I'm gonna have to step up
and lead this group.

I've got so much
more experience.

Almost there.
No rest.

That sun's about to break
through those clouds,

and it's gonna burn us
when it does.

-[Ana Lis] OK.
-[Malu] Push.

[Jarrell grunts] [bleep].
Cut it.

-[Jamie] The current's strong.
-[Jarrell] Yes, it is.

[Dani] Can you see that big
shadow in the water?

[Jarrell] Oh, oh!
That's a [bleep] shark.

-[Dani] Oh, my God.

-[Dani yells]

-I got one foot down.

[Jarrell] Nothing could even
prepare me for this.

This is some "Jaws,"
"Deep Blue Sea" type [bleep].

This is not what my black ass
signed up for.

[Mandy] We made it.

I don't even have words
for what that just was,

we were in that sea for,
like eight hours.

It had to be eight to 10 hours.

[Adam] Surviving this shipwreck,

I've never been this happy
to be on the land.

[exhales sharply]

-[Darrin] Whoo!
-[Ana Lis] We made it!

[Malu] Oh, Jesus!

[chuckling]

I can't believe I finally
found the beach.

It was a tough night.
What a tough, tough night!

[Ally] Oh, my God!

Ah!

-[exhales in exhaustion]
-[coughing]

[Patrick] I had swallowed
so much water.

I feel like it's still coming
out of my lungs right now.

That took a lot out of me.

And now, here we are, beat up,
exhausted, shipwrecked,

out here on the Lost Coast.

[Adam] I've never been this
happy to be on the land.

All right, now
our work begins.

[Adam] But to be this exhausted
and to then try to start

a challenge,

we are at a massive
disadvantage right now.

[Darrin] Oh, my God.

[Malu] Being in the middle
of a freaking ocean at night

was the toughest thing I've ever
done in my entire life.

But now we're here,
I'm like, "How are we

gonna get out of this alive?"

[Darrin grunting]
We're almost there.

Man, what items
do we have here?

Attached to their emergency
rafts, the survivalists each

receive a bag...

-Here you all go.
-Thank you.

...with a blade
of their choice...

[Dani] A Pulaski ax.

-[Jarrell] Sheesh!
-[Jamie] Nice.

...and one personal
survival item.

The rafts also contain
a pot for boiling water,

a fire starter...

[Shawn] I don't wanna lose that.

...plus, whatever items they
were able to scavenge

from their boats.

We're in such a rush.
What did we even grab?

[Mandy] Goggles, fins.

When we bailed off that boat,
it's the first thing I grabbed.

-[Adam] We got a saw.
-Hawaiian sling.

-It's a little water logged.
-That's about everything.

-[Ally] For 35 days?
-[Shawn] Yeah.

[Ally] This is what we got
to work with.

[Jonny]
So this is gonna be difficult.

-Yeah.
-Is there anything else
in there?

What is that?

-Seems like a map.
-We have a partial map.

-[Ana Lis] Oh, wow!
-[Malu] Partial.

That's different.

[Adam]
It's only a corner of a map.

There's a lot of parts of
the story that we're missing.

I wonder how many maps
there are.

Maybe there's four maps.

Each team has only received
a quarter section of

the challenge area map,
but they will have to venture

beyond their borders in order
to find the others,

join their maps,
and reveal their only route

to rescue on day 35.

Very curious to know
what these two things are.

Look like steps.

Somebody tried to
live here before,

and something knocked them out.
-[Mandy] Yep.

We got some exploring today.

This map, like everything else
around here, is a big mystery.

[Dani] We need to find
water immediately.

[Jarrell]
Water is key right now.

On the swim over, we inhale
so much salt water,

and that's not good.

The salt water dehydrates
you even more.

-Let's go.
-[Dani] All right.

[Jamie] Let's go.

[Jarrell]
It's hot out here, y'all.

Just watch your step.

[Shawn] The Lost Coast.
I'm beginning to see why.

[Jarrell] This is a tricky
landscape right here.

Only the strong survive
out here, man.

-[Jamie] Ooh, that's sharp.
-[Jarrell] Is that sharp?

[Jarrell] Ooh, holy God!

Those are sharp.

My first impression, this ain't
for the faint of heart.

It's harsh.
It's hot.

Not seeing too many resources.

It's all rocky terrain,
lava rock that cuts your feet.

It's no joke out here, man.

Sheesh.

A lot of people have came
and tried to inhabit

this land and failed.

Even though they didn't
survive, I'm really confident

that I can,
'cause I'm Jarrell, baby.

I'm just an extreme person
by nature.

Growing up, I've always
been an athlete,

rollerblading, snowboarding.

[bleep] [bleep]!
Oh! Ah!

I went into the last challenge
with 17 stitches in my ass

from a snowboard accident,
and I got 'em cut out

right in the middle
of the jungle.

Oh!

That's it?

I've always been the type
to push the limit,

because I'm hard-willed.
I got a big ego.

I'm very prideful.

But as a survivalist, I only
got 21 days under my belt.

Well, my teammates, Dani,
she's a legend.

She has more days than me
and Jamie combined.

But I'm not to be
underestimated, man.

Legend in the making
right here, baby.

This place is so big.

Finding water is gonna be
tough, it looks like.

[Jamie]
I feel like we'd get more work
done if we split up.

[Dani] I'm fine splitting up.

and hopefully everything

Coconuts are no replacement
for fresh water,

but they can keep you
limping along.

Lots of people get killed
by coconuts.

so we are a motley crew,
and I like motley crew.

It might not look like it,
but I do.

If you just drink coconut milk,
it'll give you diarrhea.

We don't have coconuts
in Argentina.

These people don't know me.

I'm the first Argentinian
joining in "Naked and Afraid."

I grew up in a family
of hunters and fishermans,

and I learned that skills
from a very, very young age.

I did my challenge on LATAM
version of "Naked and Afraid."

The challenge was really tough.

But surviving those 21 days

showed me that I am
a strong woman.

[celebratory yelling]

But this challenge,
it's a bit strange,

'cause I'm gonna be
in the same place

where many people disappeared
and actually died.

So I'm a bit scared about that.

There might be a functional
home up there.

[Ana Lis] OK.

[Malu] There was definitely
somebody here.

I think I see a little shelter
back in here.

[Ana Lis] Oh, wow.
Yes.

[Malu] Oh, my god.

It's dilapidated,
but it's halfway there.

I hope they didn't die.

We can build something with
this that'll be perfect for us.

-I mean, I'm down to use it.

But, you know, shelter is not
a priority to me.

-Finding water is.
-[Malu] OK.

So I prefer to sleep
on the beach.

I prefer a platform,
a raised platform.

a shelter today.

You know, building shelter is
a lot of energy.

And sometimes it's best not to
just start right to that

if you don't have to.

We're drinking some coconut
water, but it's not enough,

and my partners want to start
a shelter before we even have

a water source found.
I'm already dehydrated.

We just swam for hours
and hours in the ocean.

I mean, water's always
number one.

Like, I'm drenched in sweat
right now.

Maybe it's a small platform
for the night.

-Is that OK with you, Darrin?
-[Darrin] Yeah.

[Ana Lis] Perfect.
I love it.

[Malu] I appreciate Darrin's
the best of the best,

but bugs on a beach in the sand

are horrible.
They make a grown man cry.

So, bottom line, we're working
on that platform bed.

There's a hole.

Just be careful in here,
'cause there's a lot of old

rusty nails that wanna
freaking kill you.

Against my better judgment,
I'm agreeing to build

this platform for them
just to ease tensions.

I don't wanna be a boss.
I wanna be a leader.

I want to help them survive,

not tell them how to survive.

[Ally] All right, we're looking
for our water source.

Water really is gonna be
our biggest threat out here

if we can't get that secured.

[Patrick] So I'm out here

just looking at this thick,
dense jungle.

When you look at this,
it just goes straight up.

I'm feeling exhausted.
I know Shawn and Allison are.

But there is nothing more

dominant on this planet
than me.

Embrace the brutality.

I spent more time
in the outdoors

than probably anybody
on "Naked and Afraid."

I backpack 10,000,
7,000 miles in a year.

I'd say the best way
to describe myself

as a survivalist is relentless.

This is what a survivalist
looks like.

This is my fifth continent
in five challenges.

That's a lot of bees.

and I'm always gonna

on islands, I know this is

an underground stream.

That tastes fresh to me.

the last person that

I wanted on my team.
I am a lover, not a fighter.

And it seems as though he has
his reputation of being

a bit of an ass[bleep].
But he's a badass survivalist.

-He knows what he's doing.

-And then we boil it.

Let's get a fire going.

-I'll look for some kindling.

Day one.

-[Jonny] This place is crazy.
-[Adam] It's frigging nuts.

-[Mandy] Look at this.

-[Adam] That could be home.

It looks like a storm
or something's knocked it over.

[Mandy] Yeah, something.

The pros are that it's
off the beach,

'cause things come up,
crabs, bugs.

[Jonny] The only thing about
using this is, like,

all the loose nails,
all the potential broken glass.

[Jonny]
I mean, like, we could even
just, like, cannibalize it

and just start again.
Try to make it a bit more safe.

[Adam] Tear it down.

[Mandy] Well, then, I guess what
I'll do is I'm gonna start

kind of clearing this way.

[Adam] This "Naked and Afraid"
is like no other.

We are fully shipwrecked out
here, and hopefully we can

survive where others haven't.

But we haven't found water,
and I think that's gonna be

our number one priority now is
to try to find water.

[Jonny] To me, water is always
number one,

'cause you die without water.

[Mandy] Well, I'll leave
you guys up to that.

[Adam] Um, you're gonna get
on the fire?

-[Mandy] I am.
-[Adam] We have faith in you.

It's, like, really ominous to,
like, see that straightaway.

I spend a lot of time
with the indigenous people

in Australia, so I understand
the seriousness

of respecting their spirits.

And, you know, if you don't
respect that, the land can

kick you out.

I spent a lot of years
living in the bush,

practicing my survival skills.

I've done 61 days
on "Naked and Afraid."

And when I see
a crazy opportunity,

I'm gonna jump at it.

We cannot lose this thing.

But in Colombia, I probably
wasn't known for being

the best teammate.

I got an eel, yeah, baby!
Yeah!

I ate a fish while
my partner was sleeping.

It was a bit of a dick move.

I still get hate messages
every day from that.

You know, I wanna prove
to people that I can be

a better survivalist
and a partner,

and that's why I'm here
for this challenge.

[Jonny] It's pretty spooky.
The mask, the shelter.

There's always this sensation
in the back of your head that

I am somewhere
where I'm not welcome.

[Adam] Yeah, I reckon
let's get some water.

-[Malu] You feel that rain?
-[Darrin] It feels amazing.

It might just be cicada pee,
though, 'cause it doesn't look

like those clouds are raining.

During the afternoon,
cicadas will pee on you.

When it gets hot, like
in the middle of the day,

they release extra moisture.
-[Malu] That is truly gross.

I love Darrin with all my heart,
but he's a little strange.

[Darrin]
First day here on this island,
and normally I would have

gotten water today
and just hydrated and rested.

But ladies want shelter,
so we found a old abandoned hut,

and we're turning it
into a A-frame

with a sleeping platform
so we can get off the ground.

-We'll probably have to go get
more bamboo, too.
-[Ana Lis] Yes.

There's a bunch of bamboo
up there,

taken out by biting mosquitoes.

And then in Australia,
it was just unbearable heat.

time of my life.

I was so close to death.

We need to get him out of here.

We need to do
a medical evacuation.

two wins, two losses.

So that is making me
even more determined

to complete this challenge.

This is verging
on dangerous now.

I am sweating profusely.
I have climbed so high.

This is a do-or-die moment
right now.

If we don't get water,
we're gonna dehydrate,

bones start to ache,
headaches, organs start

shutting down.

and this is going to be
big trouble for us.

and now I have my answer as to

why people that have tried
to settle here have failed.

You can't survive here.

I was keeping my fingers
crossed to see just,

like, a huge waterfall,

but now we know.

It needs to be called
the Lost Water Coast,

'cause water wise,
I think we're in trouble.

We're gonna get a small
fire going.

We're gonna boil some water.
We're gonna establish a camp.

You know, coming from
the military, when I was

a search and rescue technician,
we specialized in swift water,

ice water rescue,
mountain rescue.

I've been a part of some
pretty crazy [bleep].

But nothing like this.

This is a whole other level
of what the [bleep].

My first challenge was
in Yucatán, Mexico.

It was 21 days of sheer hell.

There was nothing to eat.

It was a struggle,
whether you're trained or not.

There's nothing in there.

We were desperate for food.

Very few people understand
how difficult it gets

when you go days not having
a bite to eat.

But my perseverance,
my strength, definitely played

a big part in my success.

We got frog.
We just found a meal.

But I've never been in a harsh
island environment like this.

I'm really counting on
having decent partners.

You really did a good job
finding dry, fluffy material.

I'm here with Patrick,
one of the most

experienced survivalists.

It's actually a little bit more
surprisingly difficult

than I thought it would be.

So I gonna remind myself
that I'm not

with the most experienced.

The abandoned shelter that
we found, clearly it was

abandoned for a reason.

Some of this stuff's so sharp,

It's dangerous 'cause every one
of these beams is covered

in rusty nails.

We don't wanna lay our heads
down at night knowing that

the roof can fall on us
at any moment.

We've gotta scrap the current
structure almost entirely.

It's like, at least if we know
we're the ones that put

the support on top, we're not
worried about it like caving in.

[Jonny] Especially if the winds
get pretty hard.

Keeping only four existing
support beams in place,

the team plans to construct
a new structure of both natural

and salvaged materials,
including a sloped canopy roof

covered with palm fronds

and a bamboo ladder
for easier access.

[Mandy] I can actually go
make the ladder.

[Adam] Fine, yeah.

Start pulling it apart
and recycling it.

[Jonny] I have 10 years in
the United States Army.

One thing that the military
teaches you is survival is

adapting to a problem,
and it's a 95% mental game.

So, having a strong head coming
into these things is probably

the best tool that I'm
bringing to the table.

When I came into my first
challenge in Belize,

it was pretty obvious
right off the bat that

my partner's differently-abled.

a big issue for me.

We're gonna be best friends
for the next three weeks.

People will say that
I'm a big guy, but it really is,

I've got a big heart.

but I'm a workhorse, and I will
work harder than anybody else.

With all that said, people have
attempted to tame this land

in the past and failed.

So, 35 days out here
is daunting.

from our shelter is not

the easiest thing in the world,
so I'm going to attempt to make

a ladder out of bamboo.

so if I were to get
medically tapped,

absolutely devastating.

like we're on the Lost Coast.

snakes inhabit the island,

the mildly venomous
mangrove snake

and the deadly Samar cobra,
whose neurotoxic bite can cause

paralysis
and respiratory distress.

where it went.

It probably went away.
It's not gonna stay around

when we are making noise
and moving around.

[Dani]
Yeah, this might be his house.

That just shows you how
dangerous this place is.

Snakes are all around us.

He was looking me
dead in my eyes.

He came from right down
this little hill, man.

I kind of knew what

That's our lifeline.

From their current camp,
the team has targeted a small

beach on the opposite side
of the peninsula,

crowded with dense mangroves,
which thrive

where freshwater rivers
meet the ocean.

I just, I don't wanna get
back in that water,

but for how jagged
these rocks is,

I feel like swimming
is the best bet.

It's strange saying that
because there's actual sharks

out there, but I'm pretty sure
the ocean's safer than

traveling through all that.
Look at that.

[Dani] Yeah, and it's absolutely
too sharp to walk around.

[Jarrell] Yeah.

[Adam] I'm kind of nervous
getting out in that sea,

but we are gonna head out,

and we're gonna head out
there, back out into the ocean.

[Ally] Last night was
a very long night.

We were sleeping on the ground,
ants crawling on us.

This is not a luxury hotel stay
by any means.

[Shawn] We're gonna be
building a shelter.

Were you thinking A frame
right off the bat?

[Ally] I think lean to is
the way to go.

Keeping it minimal, but still,
you know, weatherproof.

-And we could always improve it
as we go along.
-Yeah.

I don't see a sense in getting

a permanent shelter built.

I could sleep just like this.

Oh, what a challenge.

I might not be an expert
survivalist, but I do know that

shelter is very important.

I would just say keep in mind,
like, energy versus reward.

This isn't the monsoon season.
It's not even raining.

It's kind of surprising
that Patrick is saying, "Hey,

"let's not do this thing that's
very important for our safety

and our comfort out here."

You don't make a shelter
when it's raining.

You make a shelter
before it's raining

to prevent you from getting wet.

All right, I'm already
working up a sweat.

I know at first glance people
probably underestimate me,

but I am also a badass.

I am a specialist
in natural movement.

It's movement of our hunter
gatherer ancestors lifting

and carrying and climbing
balancing, jumping,

literally everything
you could think of.

And I also know a lot
of survival skills.

My first challenge in Kentucky
was the hardest thing

that I've ever done.

-[gasps]
-[Steven] It's a copperhead.

But the hardest part was
the cold weather that hit

while we were there.

I'm left with a little bit
of PTSD

from that experience,
to be honest.

That's why shelter building is
so important to me.

a temporary shelter built

in case it does rain
over the next couple of days.

Using an existing tree
for temporary support,

Ally and Shawn plan
to construct a lean-to shelter

with two V-shaped side supports
joined by a crossbar.

Smaller branches form
the back wall,

which is then covered
with layers of palm leaves.

[Patrick]
I'm happy with cowboy camping
and a nice bed of sand

around the fire to keep us warm.

on getting a lot done

that doesn't necessarily need
to get done.

I'm not gonna waste
my energy and time

doing menial tasks.

I would rather be using
my energy for exploring

or spending more time fishing.

And I know if I follow them,
I might find a headwater that

still has some water
springing out.

It could be a long ways,

'cause it hasn't rained
for a long time here.

in this environment

stinky, and hungry, I'm gonna be

Facing a difficult two-mile
swim, the team must first

safely clear the tip
of the island,

a treacherous outcropping
of jagged coastline,

where powerful currents
and strong waves can send them

crashing into volcanic rock.

If they make it,
they face a second, longer leg

along the coast
to the mangrove cove.

Blocked from stronger ocean
currents, these calmer waters

pose their own dangers,
such as venomous sea snakes

and lethal box jellyfish,
whose cardiotoxic venom can

cause a heart attack
within two minutes.

You know, it's a lot
of hard work.

I think I would have rather
carried a pot of water.

I'm thirsty

and I cannot wait to see
Ana Lis and Darrin coming down

the mountain with some water.

But I'm a little worried.

I mean, they've been gone
a long time.

Watch out, that rock's wobbly.

We are hiking for so long
to a water source.

And this trail,
it's really dangerous.

These rocks are sharp,

and it hurts.

1,500 feet straight up a hill,

and Ana Lis is keeping up.

She's got a lot of enthusiasm,
and that's really helpful

in a situation like this.

It's kind of a risky move,
it's kind of a dangerous move.

There's dangers lurking
under the water.

The dangers of the Lost Coast
start in the water.

There are rip currents that can
pull you out into the sea,

and amongst those rip currents
are sharks,

stingrays, extremely venomous
water snakes,

and these box jellyfish.

One hit from a box jellyfish
sends you into shock.

Is it the big, spiny kind, or?

The good one?

You can bring home the bacon.

Seems like it crawled
into the rock.

to get it now.

Once it gets into the den,
you're pretty much screwed.

Unlike their
terrestrial cousins,

aquatic hermit crabs

exclusively live in the water
and can grow up

to eight inches in length.

I was thinking about swimming
around with the Hawaiian sling

to see what kind of resources
we have out here.

Being a good team captain,

working with rookies
means that I'm gonna

have to keep stepping up
my game, keep helping these guys

so that we can make it
to the end.

Probably a while now.

The shelter is coming along

with the work Allison
and I have put into it.

Wow, there's a lot of snails.

I think I wanna actually
get in there.

I'm hoping to find
a big old snail over here.

Please be careful of the sea
urchin and the stingrays.

They're everywhere in these
small little shallows.

[Ally] Wow, that is so sharp!

If a big wave comes and throws
your body against this,

you would be torn up.

[Patrick] I'm diving out here,
and I'm realizing that this is

the prime area.
I'm seeing sea urchins.

I'm trying to get
this stuff out,

but I'm getting bashed up
by these waves.

[Ally yelps]

[Patrick] I get slammed
right into a rock.

I hit my toe, and I'm bleeding.

[Ally] All right, I think I need
to call it quits.

[gasps] Oh, [bleep].

Patrick, there's a shark!

[Shawn] Holy [bleep]!

[Ally gasps]

There's a shark in here!

I see a black-tipped shark
swimming around me.

While not known for
their aggressive behavior,

black-tipped sharks will
bite if threatened.

Who knows how many
other sharks are gonna get

attracted to my bloody foot?

...and I bashed my foot.

[Ally gasps] Oh, [bleep] dude.

So I was like, "Maybe I should
get out of the water

before it attracts more sharks."

[Ally] The sharks can smell that

from miles away.
It's dripping blood.

Knowing that the sharks are,
in fact, this close to shore

means that we're just gonna
have to be extra careful

when we go collect
our resources.

We don't need you losing
a hand or a foot.

[Patrick] Yeah, that could end
my challenge real quick.

[Ally] I did find snails
and the biggest limpets.

-Look at that boy!
-[Shawn] Hell yeah.

[Ally] Yeah.

Closely related to snails,
limpets are high in protein,

but each they only yield
10 grams of meat.

[Ally] Bye, dudes,
you're getting eaten for dinner.

[Shawn]
This could have been bad.

It was definitely
a holy [bleep] moment

and a realization that we are
surrounded by a lot of dangers.

Oh, yeah, that's a big one.

the most experience out here,

obviously, but when it comes to
the team, he seems to just want

If we keep following it uphill,
it might lead us to

The slightest brush with a box

flooding the body with venom
