And one of my mottos is, you pick it, I'll stick it.

So I like to do everything.

When I see a bat tattoo, I get very pissed.

I'm going to tear some of these guys a new one.

This is the last week a new shop will enter the competition.

Oh, I'm so stoked this is the last shop coming in.

We just got to eliminate everybody that's already here.

You've reached a milestone.

But remember, only one shop will earn two

$100,000, a feature in Inked Magazine, and the title of Ink Master.

And for the first time ever, the title of Master Shop.

Right now, it's time to meet the last returning veterans.

They both competed on season five, and one of them also competed on season seven.

We both already know what our strengths and weaknesses are, because we were trying to utilize

Aaron, what's it feel like to be eliminated?

The shape of the mouth itself, Regan has a bump on the bottom right side that really comes

up, and you do it pretty straight.

This week is designed to put your shop to the test.

Succeed and you stay, but fail and your shop will go home just as quickly as you return.

This week, we're testing precision.

Precision is being very, very accurate with every single line and every single little detail

that you put into your piece of art.

This whole time, I've been practicing everything that's my weakness.

I'm coming in hot on this one.

For this flash challenge, you need a steady hand because instead of using tattoo machines

to puncture skin, you must use a drill to puncture wood.

Using different size drill bits, your design will be determined by the size of the holes you

drill and the distance between them.

I have used a power drill to hang up art on the wall, but I have never made art with it.

This is just going to be a nightmare.

Wynn and your shop will have the power to assign all the human canvases for the elimination

tattoo.

You have five hours, and your time begins now.

Today, these artists are going to drill into a board and use a light behind it to create a

pattern.

I'm doing a .

That's going to be insane.

Precision in this challenge is going to be everything in order to create holes to create depth

and dimension in the piece.

So for bright whites, big holes close together for the bright whites.

Also precision will be necessary to keep the piece looking aligned and tight.

It's going to be the candle.

I'm joining now because I need to start drawing my lines.

I'm not afraid of any power tools.

I got an old garage full of the damn things.

We decided to cut out.

I do like the cleanliness of the design.

Your lady bugs are smaller, more detailed.

You use different size of drill bits to create shading.

You definitely created depth.

You want to make sure when you're sitting there with that drill, you're hitting every hole.

Today, you had to tattoo the ultimate test of precision, matching portraits.

Cleen and Aaron, this challenge was designed to test your weaknesses.

Golden Skull Tattoo, you're up first.

Cleen.

Did you practice before you came?

Yes.

I definitely want to tip my hat to you, man.

You did a great portrait here.

The eyes and the mouth, you hit them perfectly, especially that little turned up corner of

the lip on the right side is what really captures her look.

Aaron, I like the way you did the black in the hair.

Your hair maybe is a little bit better than Cleen's, but as far as the application on the

face and everything, Cleen might have made it a little more smooth.

Y'all did a great job taking the exact same approach on the tattoo.

I mean, you really try to mimic each other's stencil to the T.

There's a lot of precision in this tattoo.

You very clearly missed a mark on details in the photo.

Y'all had the same approach for this nose, but that is not a human nose.

It has a very feline look to it.

Ulyss, the tattoo doesn't look like this little girl.

The eyes, they're just different shapes.

Eva, I think you did get in there with a lot more precise detail on the hair.

And overall, the technique and the shading is smoother, but you still distort the shape of

her face.

The shading you put above her left eye, you create these indentions and protrusions that just

aren't there.

On a precision day, you need to pay exact attention to every single little detail.

Nailed it.

The coffin, yeah.

A silica tattoo.

Judging these tattoos individually, they both look like the photo.

They both captured the girl.

But we're definitely looking at completely different images here.

Nolan, in the photo, she has a certain look in her face that's like she's gentle.

And yours, she looks like she's mad and aggressive.

There's some precision, obviously, in these tattoos.

The only thing is you want to make them look the same.

Big picture, they both got decent tattoos.

But I don't know if decent tattoos are going to win the competition.

Looking at these, if I looked really quick, I would think it was the same tattoo.

Tommy did a little bit better in the hairline, did a little bit better in the hair.

But as far as the overall softness of the face, Marvin, I think you really kill it.

This is precision day, so we're being precise on our critiques.

You guys definitely hit the mark.

The divide is monstrous between these two tattoos.

Well, Aaron, technically, very smooth, very professionally done.

Kitten.

No sugarcoating this tattoo, man.

It's beat.

The hair is just messy.

There's scratchy lines that you can still see through where the black is.

And the areas where you're supposed to have soft details, nose, eyes, lips, chin, neck, it's

just rough.

This is my first portrait.

That's part of being an Ink Master.

You've got to be able to do everything.

Float as a ship or sink as a ship.

Your tattoos, they're different big time.

The hair looks different.

The eyes look different.

Overall, Derek's looks more like the photo.

You create this real stern lip on that right eye that gives it more of a creature type feature

on the outside.

But as far as a team, this is another one where there's a definite divide between the two

tattoos.

Bubba, I think you've progressed a lot as a tattooer.

But DJ's tattoo is the HD version of yours.

Looks like if you took the other one and you just shined the out of it.

DJ's perfect.

The nose is perfect.

The mouth here is perfect to me.

Keep tattooing like this, bro.

Usually you look at a portrait, and you're drawn to the eyes.

I'm drawn to the clothing.

On both of them, that sweater and that shirt, I see precision all day.

But it just looks like a different artist did the top half.

In both of them, the hair is completely different.

Dane, you brought the left side down a little further.

In April, you brought the right side up a little.

They're not consistent or precise with the photo, and certainly not with each other.

Black Cobra tattoos.

There's precision in terms of being similar in your approach on the tattoo, but they're equally

different from the photo.

I don't feel like either of you hit the hair in any way.

There's a lot of inferred, made-up kind of styles, and that changes the dynamic of her face.

Also, the shading in the face, it doesn't look soft like skin.

It looks like fur.

When you look at one tattoo to the next, there is a lot of differences.

I feel like I actually have more issues with allegory.

This doesn't look like a human child.

I don't think it was that bad.

The lips are black.

The eyes are black.

The only place I actually used black was her pupils.

But it looks black.

I think this looks more like a first-time portrait than it is.

I feel like a little bit more strongly about classic trilogies just because they don't match.

And the technical aspect isn't as strong as Eva and Ulysses.

But it looks more like the girl than Allegory Arts.

How did the eyes that occurred on Eva's face, how does that even occur?

It's a difficult picture, but you see the same mistakes replicated that aren't even in the

picture.

So it's almost like the blind leading the blind.

And then, artistics, these things.

They must have wasted four and a half hours on that little sweater and collar and about an

hour and a half on the face.

I'd rather have classic in the bottom.

I don't think either one of them captured a portrait style tattoo or this face.

They just look different.

This was the cutest, most adorable subject.

And that's not what the tattoos look like.

Guys, there's a lot of things here that are off.

The discrepancy in the eyes, the whys in the nose, just a huge head shaker.

But they look closer to the same artist than Classic Trilogies does.

When I put a face that was more accurate to the photo.

Yeah, I think that you look at classic trilogies, neither one of them look like the photo,

and neither one of them look like each other.

And then you get into the technical aspect, and it's so haphazardly done.

If they both looked exactly like yours, Derek, I would have no problem.

I'd definitely drop the ball.

This application is just messy.

Just look at the hair, and you're like, what is that?

But it is a woman, artistic skin design.

If you're not looking at the kid, they look like little old men.

Both these tattoos have a very undone feel for me.

Normally, when I do portraits, I build up layers, and there is no building up layers.

Well, I think you just panic.

It started getting red, and you're like, damn, I don't want to put no more ink.

But sometimes, you just got to trust your skill.

If you would have tattooed the rest of the portrait at the level you tattooed the clothing,

you wouldn't have been there, you know?

Well, we do have to make a decision here.

When it's this close, I just got to look at that first glance.

And when I first glance at Classic Trilogy, it's like, ah!

My vote's for Classic Trilogy.

Too much of a mess.

Classic Trilogy.

I'm just a canvas, and Allegory looks like a weird kid.

My vote is for Allegory.

I'd rather wear Derek's tattoo than any of Allegory.

But it's a competition, and it's not what I want.

It's what the competition wants.

So they did them exactly alike.
