[Narrator] In the year 2199, Earth was under severe attack from the mysterious planet Gamilon.

Gamilon planet bombs cover the Earth with radioactive pollution.

And as a result, in one year's time, Earth will be unlivable.

But on the planet Iscandar, there is a machine that can remove the radioactivity.

Queen Starsha offers it to the people of Earth.

A team of Starblazers called the Starforce undertakes the perilous journey.

But can the Starforce travel 148,000 light-years and back in just one Earth year?

Now the Starforce is approaching planet Balan, the halfway point to Iscandar.

And unknown to the Starforce, the Gamilons have a large

base on Balan from which they're planning to attack the Starforce.

[Eager] Chief Navigator, we're right on course.

Okay.

It's sure a relief to have it quiet like this for a few days.

At this rate, we'll gain back a lot of the time we lost.

Yeah?

I wouldn't be so sure.

According to the schedule, we had ten days to get out of the solar system.

And from there, to get out of the galactic system, ten more days.

Plus a total of 45 days to reach planet Balan.

After we get to planet Balan, it's 45 days to planet Iscandar.

That's if we're on schedule.

Right now we're here.

Since we're three days behind schedule, we may have to do another space warp sooner than planned.

We need more time between warps, but it can't be helped.

Planet Balan, many millions of years younger than Earth, is still

cooling down from the great cosmic eruption that threw it off into dark space.

Volcanoes, almost covering the planet, pour hot lava into the steaming oceans,

and the creation of life is just beginning.

Small, groping forms of life evolve, change, and develop into energy cells.

At the Gamilon base on Balan, the Gamilons are searching for a way to use the

newly developed Balan energy cells as a weapon that can destroy the Starforce.

To ensure the success of this new offensive, Desslok has sent

his senior general to Balan to take over from General Volgar.

Commander Lysis, it is good of you to see me so soon after your arrival on planet Balan.

What's on your mind, Volgar?

I know of Leader Desslok's desire to defeat the Starforce and what it would mean to him.

And I have a new weapon developed from the energy cells on Balan that will do just that, yes.

We cannot count on it, Volgar.

But I'm sure that I can...

We have enough firepower here on Balan without having to use any force from the Balan element.

I've decided it's much too unpredictable.

But my method of mind control guarantees that the Balan force will perform perfectly.
