[laser zapping]

โ€ Please, give her back! She's the last of her kind!

โ€ Sometimes it's okay to take advice from other people, sweetheart.

You can use my lucky lure.

โ€ Dad?!

โ€ Mr. Leopold's the last home that's willing to take you.

โ€ Meet Julia. โ€ I'm Mr. Leopold.

JOHNNY: Johnny. โ€ Tabby.

JOHNNY: That's Finn. He doesn't say much.

Over to you, Betty. JULIA: To keep?

TECH: Where are you going? โ€ There.

โ™ช

โ™ช

LEOPOLD: Guess that makes us lucky number seven.

โ€ Short but it was sweet. Thanks for the good times, Leo.

โ€ When I was your age, you know what my problem was?

โ€ No, but I'm sure you're gonna tell me.

โ€ My problem was I thought I shouldn't have any.

Problems are what make us grow, Julia.

They're what makes us become more.

You know, problems don't happen to ya, theyโ€โ€ they happen for ya.

โ€ You sound like a bad therapist.

โ€ [chuckling] I supposed I do, don't I?

Well, all right. Just one more line, then.

One day you're gonna get tired of running away from your problems.

And all Iโ€โ€ all I really want you to know is that

when you do, we'll be here waiting for you.

โ€ Yeah, well, thanks, but I'm not the best at taking people's advice.

โ€ Ah, you're smart. You'll figure out

that sometimes it's okay to take advice from other people.

โ™ช

โ™ช

โ€ Dad...

[rumbling, quietly trumpeting]

[quietly trumpets, rumbles]

โ™ช

[trumpets]

โ™ช

โ€ [chuckles] She's coming back!

โ€ Oh, all right, let's not look like we expect it, okay?

Everybody just act normally.

Especially you.

Who needs some bread? There we are.

TABBY: Thanks, Johnny. JOHNNY: Mmโ€hmm.

โ€ Julia, would you mind grabbing some juice from the fridge, please?

โ€ [whispering] I can't believe she came back.

โ€ [whispering] She's not sitting in my chair.

โ€ Thank you.

โ€ I'm not sure that I'm staying. I just got a bit hungry, so...

LEOPOLD: Oh. I understand.

Let me see if I can help you with that. Here we are.

โ€ So, what kind of farm is this, anyway?

You don't have any strange animals here, do you?

โ€ Strange? Oh! That thing in the barn with four legs.

Yeah, that's a cow. LEOPOLD: Tabby!

It's a crop farm, Julia.

Mostly corn, some timber.

But 2,000 acres, a bit of that lent out to neighboring farms.

โ€ Which basically means we're out in the middle of nowhere.

โ€ Well, sometimes you find yourself in the middle of nowhere.

And sometimes in the middle of nowhere, you find yourself.

โ€ Does he always sound like this?

TABBY / JOHNNY: Yeah. โ€ [all laughing]

โ€ All right, maybe I have read too many selfโ€help books.

โ€ Do you wanna help us close up the barn tonight?

โ€ I don't do farm work.

โ€ Everyone who lives here helps each other out.

Even if it's just for a little while.

โ€ I understand.

โ€ You are going to love Betty. โ€ That's the cow.

LEOPOLD: [chuckles] Look, it's getting late.

Let's dig in, everybody, come on. Who needs juice?

TABBY: Oh, me. JULIA: Me, please.

โ™ช

[alien chittering]

JOHNNY: You ever rode a hoverboard before? JULIA: No.

JOHNNY: I could teach you. โ€ Yeah, maybe.

TABBY: Can't we go any faster? You usually run.

And make horse sounds.

โ€ Neigh.

[Finn laughing]

โ€ Does Finn ever talk?

โ€ I've never heard him.

His parents weren't the greatest, so...

[chuckles] They couldn't handle that he was different.

But I guess we've all got our stuff, right?

JULIA: Right.

What's your stuff?

โ€ Thereโ€™s some things that have happened to me

that I donโ€™t really like to talk about.

But, I mean, they still happened. It's not like I forgot about them.

[chuckles] I basically try to forget about them,

and they only come up once in a while.

โ€ Sorry for bringing it up. โ€ It's okay.

โ€ Can I tell you a secret? โ€ I'm not good at keeping secrets.

Finn's worse, though.

โ€ I saw...

No, it'll sound stupid.

โ€ [chuckles] You can trust us.

You can trust me.

โ€ I saw an elephant. TABBY: What?

That's impossible!

There's only, like, one left, and it's in Africa.

โ€ I'm telling you, I saw one.

โ€ [alien chittering] โ€ Did you hear that?

โ€ Oh! Maybe it's Julia's magical teleporting elephant!

Ooh!

[hissing, chittering]

That doesn't sound like an elephant.

Johnny?

โ€ Let's get out of here.

โ€ [alien chittering] โ€ It's getting closer.

โ€ [chittering] โ€ [kids screaming]

โ€ [chittering] โ€ [kids screaming]

TABBY: Johnny! โ€ Tabby! Finn!

Julia!

[chittering]

LEOPOLD: Kazi, a little music, please?

KAZI: [computer voice] Music on.

โ€ [chuckling] โ€ โ™ช I tried it โ™ช

โ€ [alien snarling] JOHNNY: Leave them alone!

Come on! Get behind me!

[hoverboard whirring]

Head to the barn! Go!

TABBY: Go! Go!

โ€ [Julia panting] JOHNNY: Wait for us!

KAZI: Motion detected. Activating barn lights.

JOHNNY: Close the doors.

TABBY: It's trying to get in!

โ€ Could've used your help back there. โ€ I'm sorry, I panicked!

โ€ Yeah. Good thing Johnny didn't panic

when that thing tried to gnaw off Finn's face.

[Johnny grunting]

โ€ [mooing] โ€ It's okay, Betty.

โ€ What is that thing?

โ€ How am I supposed to know?!

JOHNNY: We can't keep it out forever!

What is it, Finn?

โ€ Did that thing come in that?

โ€ Tabby, where are you going?! TABBY: In there.

Unless you have a better idea.

[hissing]

โ€ How do we get in? โ€ There's a hole.

โ™ช

TABBY: Whoa!

โ€ [grunts] โ€ Tabby!

JOHNNY: Tabby, you okay?

โ€ Ow!

โ€ She's okay.

โ€ I lost a tooth! Is it bad?

โ€ Uh... no.

โ€ Barely noticeable.

[craft rumbling]

What are you doing? โ€ Pushing the button.

โ€ Why?! โ€ 'Cause that's what buttons are for!

โ€ We don't know what will happen!

Maybe there's another insect thing in there!

TABBY: Well, whatever happens,

I'm sure you won't panic and leave us all here to die.

[alien roaring]

[snarling]

โ€ It's in.

โ€ [kids screaming] TABBY: Ahh! It's eating me!

Get it off! Get it off!

JOHNNY: How many of these things are there?

TABBY: Too many.

โ€ Is it dead?

โ€ Tabby, poke it. โ€ You poke it!

โ€ You're closest! โ€ She's oldest!

Why doesn't she poke it? โ€ I'm not poking anything!

โ€ Okay, fine. We'll all poke it at the same time.

You too, Finn.

Ready? On three.

One... two... three.

โ€ It's definitely dead.

โ€ [alien grumbles] โ€ [kids screaming]

[chittering]

โ€ Is it still dead? โ€ Oh, no!

โ€ Shhhhh!

Don't speak. โ€ Don't worry.

[snarling, chittering]

โ€ Betty! โ€ Where are you going?!

โ€ To help Betty. โ€ The cow?

But it's just a cow! Doesn't it make more senseโ€โ€

โ€ Okay, she's not just a cow, okay? She's my friend.

Like Mr. Leopold said,

"Everyone who lives here helps each other out."

And right now one of us is in trouble, and Iโ€™m going to help her out!

โ€ He really loves that cow.

[mooing]

[screeching]

[device chimes]

["In the Hall of the Mountain King" playing]

โ€ That's not the song I was hoping it would play.

[chittering, snarling]

[music continues]

โ€ Where are you going?! โ€ To help Johnny!

Obviously.

โ€ I'm sorry, Finn. I can't.

โ€ [chittering] โ€ [cow mooing]

โ€ Whoa!

[drone buzzing]

โ€ Annoying when something buzzes around your head, huh?

โ€ [drone beeping] โ€ [alien chittering]

[alien gurgles]

โ€ Are you in pain?

[chittering]

[whimpering]

โ€ You got one! That's my girl!

โ€ Dad?!

โ€ Oh, careful, sweetheart.

If you don't hold on tight, you might lose 'em.

โ€ Dad!

โ€ [chuckling] I didn't think you'd like fishing this much!

Now, let the line out, soโ€โ€ โ€ We tire 'em out?

โ€ Someone's been listening.

Okay, start to reel it in.

Wow! That's a big one! [chuckles]

[reel spooling]

Quick, help me put it back.

โ€ What do you mean? Aren't we keeping it?

โ€ Itโ€™s important to know when to let things go.

Thereโ€™s not a lot of this kind of fish left in the wild.

And when theyโ€™re gone, well, theyโ€™re gone for good.

You gonna help me let him go?

โ€ No.

โ€ Come on, Jules. We'll do it together.

โ€ I love you, Dad.

โ€ I love you too, sweetheart.

[chittering]

โ€ Did you do that?

[squeaking, chittering]

[drone buzzing]

โ€ [drone beeping] โ€ Mr. Spittles!

You monster!

TABBY: Johnny! Help me!

โ€ [alien snarling] JOHNNY: Get away from her!

JULIA: "Everyone who live here helps each other out."

โ€ [alien whimpers] I've got to help them.

โ€ [baby chirping] โ€ [adult chittering]

[baby crying]

[adult soothing]

[adult chirping sadly]

[adult wailing]

[laser pulsating]

[chittering]

I don't understand.

[chittering, whimpering]

One?

It's the one?

The last one.

Just one left.

What do I do? โ€ [craft rumbling]

โ€ [Johnny grunting] โ€ [Tabby yelping]

JOHNNY: Get behind me, Finn.

TABBY: Johnny, I'm scared! Leave us alone!

โ€ You know what this is, right?

โ€ [alien whimpers] TABBY: We don't!

โ€ [laser blasts] โ€ [Tabby shrieks]

[screeching]

โ€ Let me try that again.

โ€ [laser blasts] โ€ [alien chitters]

All right, all right. Put one of these blasters on.

โ€ How do you know all this? JULIA: I'll tell you later!

We need to put these around it!

โ€ Quick question:

when do I get to use this beauty?

โ€ Right now.

[lasers blasting]

JOHNNY: It's working!

TABBY: Now what? JULIA: Surround it!

And do what I do!

Now!

[alien chittering, whimpering]

It's okay. You're gonna be okay.

โ€ That... was... incredible!

โ€ [Johnny chuckling] โ€ Did you see that move I did?

โ€ [laser blasting] JOHNNY: Careful!

โ€ [cow mooing] โ€ What just happened?

โ€ I don't know. But I think I might know someone who does.

[alien chittering]

โ€ How long till we reach the coordinates? โ€ We'll be there by morning.

[device beeping]

โ€ All right, let's go!

[device beeping]

JULIA: It's gonna be okay. โ€ What is taking you all so long?

What's going on? What happened?

What aren't you telling me? โ€ [elephant trumpeting]

[trumpeting]

Okay, who wants to explain what's going on?

Oh, my.

[chittering]
