hold dear, and one little sweetheart so
lively and quick, I knew in a moment

she'd speak of St. Nick.

More heavenly anticipation was built
than they each named a reindeer who flew

to the hilt.

There's Dasher, there's Dancer, there's
Prancer and Vixen.

They named all eight, but opinions were
mixing.

They all reached up high, where no cares
befall. Now dance away, dance away,

dance away all.

As the warmth of their hearts goes from
low to high, they fall on their bed and

gaze at the sky.

So up to the housetop their spirits they
flew, with their heads full of boys and

Hugh Hefner too.

And then in a twinkling a raven-haired
lass looked into a mirror, but saw not

the glass.

As she drew in her head and was turning
around, another one reached out without

making a sound.

She wore a fur coat from her head to her
foot as her clothes were all tarnished

with ashes and soot.

She leaned to the rear as if flung on
her back and looks like a playmate with

quite a nice rack.

The glowing white pearls that are her
teeth and a smile that encircles like a

wreath. She has a sweet face and a
shapely young form that shook when she

laughed. like a flower in the morn.

Her eyes, how they twinkled, her
dimples, how merry.

Her cheeks were like roses, her lips
like cherry.

Her cute little mouth was drawn up like
a bow, and her soft, silky skin was as

white as the snow.

She's slender and firm, a right jolly
young elf.

People stare when they see her, in spite
of themselves.

A wink of her eye and a nod of her head
was all that was left before going to

bed.

They spoke not a word, but just laid
down their heads, and took off their

stockings, and fluffed up their bed, and
turned up the bed sheets, and covered

their toes, and snuggled their pillows
while holding them close.

Then there in their bed they laid clean
as a whistle, and away their thoughts

flew like the down of a thistle.

But I heard them exclaim, ere they faded
from sight, Happy Christmas to all, and

to all a good night.

Christmas Eve is a time for parties and
celebration, but not for Joe.

He got laid up after breaking his leg in
a skiing accident.

While his friends are going out to
celebrate Christmas Eve, he expects to

spend the evening home alone with
plaster cast and crutches.

But, as you might have guessed, his
night is far from over.

Sometimes it's the unexpected surprises
that make Christmas truly special.
