have shared stories

of giant wild men in the woods.

Today, these creatures
are known as big foot.

There's something. I mean,
otherwise there wouldn't be stories

in every single country.

Over the last six years,

an elite team has been
conducting research expeditions

seeking to determine the
truth about this phenomenon.

You are not gonna
believe what I just found.

That's behind us. Go. Go, go, go, go!

These specialists have
dedicated their lives

to mastering their respective skills.

I've been obsessed
with the lore of big foot

for as long as I can remember.

In the military.

You count on your instincts
to get you out of situations.

I am out here in a scientific pursuit.

It's all about discovery.

This year, the team embarks

on an expedition like never before.

I looked up and I see this
big arm reaching the window.

And data analysis.

They have narrowed the
search to one remote area

in the wilderness known as the fork.

There's something moving.

What is going on?

Which could be a gathering place

for migrating sasquatch families.

Where there could
be hundreds of big foot.

If there's something out there,

we're gonna find it.

It's been three months

since we lost track of those
creatures in northern California,

and now I'm 500 mi north
in southern Washington.

How far up is this?

Two miles all right.

A trusted source of mine
within the timber industry

gave me the name of a timber scout

who found something deep in the woods.

Fearing professional repercussions,

Bryce has agreed to
hide the witness identity

in exchange for being
shown this new finding.

Pretty thick in here

just a few months ago,

Bryce and the team
discovered a cluster of nests

in northern California,

over 500 miles south
of his current position.

Bryce believed that these nests

confirmed they were on the
trail of a possible big foot family,

including a juvenile big foot.

Bryce theorized that the creatures

that made those nests
might be heading north.

But the trail went cold for months.

Until now.

This witness could hold

the key to confirming Bryce's theory.

Yeah.

Look at that thing.

Look at how these things are woven.

I got to tell you, I was
completely blown away by this.

I can still sort of catch that odor.

This thing was still fresh.

I mean, it reminded me of the nest

that mireya showed to Russ
and me in northern California.

Hey, you guys.

And to me, nests mean one thing.

Crap. Look at that.

And that's families of big foot.

My isn't this crazy? Look, three nests.

- Wow!
- It's like woven together.

These are gigantic

how did you find this?

You know, I was just kind of
walking and doing what I do.

And I saw all these limbs lined up

clean like this that caught my attention.

And I came over and I was like,

"yeah, there's something here."

So how long ago did you find this?

A week ago.

The needles are still green.

I mean, it was like, pretty
fresh when I found it.

I mean, you don't often see
hikers around here, do you?

No. You never see anyone out here.

They don't belong here.

You know, this is creepy.

You... you hit the gold mine,

because to me there's no
doubt in my mind what made this.

After establishing his
operational command center

in the southernmost
point of the target zone,

Bryce immediately
contacts the rest of the team.

Primatologist Dr. Mireya mayor,

and survivalist Russell a cord.

About this break in the investigation.

Hey, what's up, you guys?

- Hey, Bryce.
- What's going on?

So after that timber
scout showed me the nest,

I started looking into the
various witness reports

I've collected in this
region of the country.

Take a look at this.

These are eyewitness reports

ranging from the lost
coast of northern California.

All the way up to Alaska.

I've filtered the data to
only show the last 5 years.

Did you guys notice anything?

From the lost coast up
to southern Washington

looks like a highway.

It's really concentrated there.

Right there seems to be
this obvious migration pattern.

But once you get to Washington,

take a look at this.

All that changes.

The data starts to scatter.

It's kind of weird because
it's highly concentrated

from like the lost coast all the way up.

But if they split off right there

in Washington, that's kind of odd.

Where's that nest that he showed you

in reference to the split?

Yeah, that's a good question, Russ.

That actually blew my mind.

So the nest that that scout showed me

it took place right here,

right in the heart of the fork.

- Wow.
- It's interesting

I think maybe the most interesting

is now we have an area where we know

or seemingly know that you
have a lot of animal activity.

What other information
do we have in this area?

Based on the topography, data

and firsthand experience,

I can tell you I've never seen an area

quite like this fork before.

The area that the team
is referring to as the fork

"is" inhospitable, untamed,
and completely unforgiving,

surrounded on all sides by steep
cliffs and walls of tangled undergrowth.

The only possible way
through this natural choking point

for miles in every direction.

It leads right through the target zone.

Making this the perfect
location for animals

or big foot to move
through the landscape.

Something is taking
place here in Washington,

causing that migration route to fork

right at that choke point.

And that's what I'm
extremely interested in.

Why is that taking place here?

Perhaps this is an area here maybe

some of the adolescents

start to I don't know, try
out some of their freedom.

Sure, there's a lot of examples

in the primate world where an animal

will go off in search of mates

once they hit a certain age.

And that's a huge driver for an animal

to go out into a new territory.

It raises an interesting point.

I just don't know really
what the answer is.

Then let's take a look at
what we do know, right?

Washington has more
sightings than anywhere else

in the continental United States.

We're talking about 500
reported sightings a year,

and those are the reported ones.

There is a centuries old connection

between Washington and big foot.

Dating back to long held oral traditions

from numerous first nations peoples

who refer to a hairy wild
man known as sasq'ets.

This eventually became
the word sasquatch.

So with all of that in mind,

I say we focus our efforts
right on this forking area

where this migration
pattern seems to split off.

- Sounds good.
- Sounds great.

And mireya.

Because of how remote this region is,

I found a local who I think

would make the perfect partner
with you on this expedition.

Awesome.

Joining the team for this expedition

is biko Wright.

I spent my whole life
in these forests fishing,

hunting, foraging, you name it.

Most people would call
what I do "bush craft"

growing up with my dad,
you know, I always heard

stories about bigfoot's
around the fire and stuff,

but I always brushed it off as just stories.

But a few years back,

I was about 50 days into a
solo wilderness adventure.

It was probably around midnight,

and I heard a powerful scream.

And, you know, being
alone in the woods,

you get familiar with the
sounds of the animals.

But this was something different,

something I'd never heard before.

And all I could think was

I think I might have
just heard a sasquatch.

Having a sasquatch encounter,

it kind of changed the way I look at

the forest and the wilderness

because I believe that

there's something out there,

and I want to know what it is.

First of all, welcome to Washington.

Obviously, you can see we
have a new team member here.

This is biko.

We're happy to have
you, lucky to have you.

Thanks for having me.

I think having biko here

is going to be a huge advantage

because to me, your
knowledge of the woods

doesn't come from a
textbook or an explanation.

It comes from experience.

And biko has a lot of that.

It's a home for him.

Having biko on this team
is going to be awesome.

With his survivalist background

and his woods experience,

he's gonna be an amazing
asset to this expedition.

The team gathers at the
fork, an area just south

of where Bryce discovered
the most recent nest site.

We also have Andy here with us.

He's going to help us set
up a seismographic trip wire.

Tell us a little bit about this
package you've created for us.

Essentially, what we have
is a field seismic system.

Typically used in earthquake detection.

Seismographs are precise instruments

that record the frequency and intensity

of ground vibrations.

By analyzing data from
multiple linked seismographs,

it's possible to detect small movements,

such as an animal
walking on the surface.

These devices have
been used by the military

to detect and track movements
through specific areas.

So this is essentially a seismometer.

If an animal crosses,
we will see a crossing.

How would it distinguish between

a four legged animal
and two legged animals?

Those detectors are very sensitive,

and the four legged
animal creates energy

at a different Cadence
than a two legged animal.

The seismic trip line will consist

of wirelessly connected seismographs

deployed at roughly 500-meter intervals

and will span 18 miles east to west.

Just south of the fork,
where Bryce believes

a large population of big foot

is splitting off from the migration route.

Each team will take a nine mile stretch

of the 18-mile boundary.

Mireya and biko on the western half

and Russell on the eastern half,

deploying dozens of sensors
to complete the trip line.

The sensors will begin transmitting data

back to Bryce at the command center.

For the duration of the expedition.

We've got a lot of these to deploy

and a lot of ground to
cover, so let's get to it.

The area that the team is
investigating is absolutely massive.

It's by far our largest target zone yet,

but we're ready for it.

Because this tech is unlike
anything we've ever used before.

And it's the perfect strategy

to use at this choke point in the fork

and possibly the key to
figuring out just what is going on

with big foot here in Washington.

If they are migrating

from California up to Washington,

we're standing right in that crossroads.

And they've got to come right past us.

Got all your gear.

- Yeah.
- We're gonna hoof it from here.

It's game time.

While Russell heads to the
eastern quadrant of the target zone.

- Can you hand me that rain cover?
- -Yeah, absolutely.

Mireya and biko set up base camp.

I'd like to get a game cam
that can see this open area.

And establish a perimeter of trail cams...

Last one.

Before heading to the western quadrant.

To deploy their sensors.

We should be able to get back
to base camp tomorrow morning.

- Yeah?
- -Sounds good to me.

Meanwhile, Bryce will use a helicopter

to get above the target area

to make sure the tech is coming online.

Angel 31 operations approach.

- Ready?
- Ready when you are.

I believe big foot is coming through

this choke point in large numbers

- right here at this fork.
- But why?

Is this a place where juveniles

break off from their family pod.

Maybe this is a place where
family units gather together.

Or is there some other
reason why Washington

is so important to these creatures?

There's still so much we don't know.

But we're not going to
stop until we get answers.

High above the target zone.

Expedition leader Bryce Johnson

oversees the ground team

as they deploy seismic sensors
along the 18-mile perimeter.

Mireya, biko and Russell

have a 9-mile stretch of ground to cover

on the east and west
end of the target zone.

And must complete the
trip wire before nightfall.

Once established, the sensors will create

a trip wire just below the fork.

An area where Bryce believes

a large population of big foot

is likely to pass through.

This place is just enormous.

And it's easy to see just
how vast this wilderness is.

Something as big as a big foot

could easily hide in
here and go undetected.

No problem.

So while mireya and biko are
going to b e working the western front,

Russell is going to be making
his way up the eastern edge

so that we can complete
this surveillance trip wire.

From the helicopter,

Bryce will test the
transmission of each sensor,

ensuring the feed is relaying
back to the command center

in the southern portion
of the target zone.

Mireya for Bryce.

Yeah mireya, I got you loud and clear.

We're ready to set up the first sensor.

Copy that.

Bryce will communicate
with the ground team

equipped with walkies,

capable of surface to air communication

to make sure every
sensor is perfectly dialed in.

That first sensor should be online now.

- Yeah, I got you.
- Let's go.

It's actually registering you and biko

moving around it right now.

- Incredible.
- Awesome.

that's good.

All the way in.

Get that deep in the soil.

- Hey, Bryce.
- I got this thing set up...

And I just turned the device on.

All right, Russ, I've got you right here.

This is excellent.

As each sensor is placed in the ground...

Yeah, I got you.

The miles long trip line
begins to take shape.

That is live nice work, man.

Forming an invisible line.

That they hope will detect big foot

moving along the migration route.

Before they split up.

Mireya, I can clearly detect both of you.

This thing is amazing.

I mean that's huge.

If this is an area where
groups of these animals

are traveling together
or looking for mates,

tracking how many animals
move together is going to be vital.

This trip wire is going to let us know.

Copy that.

The team still has a few
more sensors to place

before the tripwire is complete...

We are live at five.

I'm making my way back
to the command center.

And then from there, I'll be
able to continuously monitor it.

And if this trip wire works

like I think it should...

Nothing and I mean nothing
will be able to get through

without us knowing about it.

Something's been through here.

There's elk tracks through here.

I can smell the elk.

You know they're close
when you can smell it like that.

Check it out. There's the elk.

Come here.

Right through there.

Can you see them?

Okay, let's not get them too excited.

Seeing this elk let's me know

that there's plenty of food source

for any apex predator.

That's why tech like this is so important.

Get a couple more of these set

I'm glad we're getting
done before nightfall.

We'll be able to determine
if they're hunting in groups

or if they're teaching their young

how to hunt and survive out here.

Which will give us the
information we need to know

as to why Washington is
such an important place.

While Russell and the rest of the team

continue to place seismic sensors.

Here we go.

Look, here's the signal
coming in right here.

Bryce has returned
to his command center,

located in the southern
portion of the target zone.

After completing his
helicopter support mission.

I'm getting some real time data.

As you can see, the
sensors are working,

so this is pretty much

the seismic trip wire as we see it.

We put that seismic trip wire

just below of where that
migration pattern starts to split,

because let's say something
does trigger this tripwire.

Not only will it alert me in real time,

of what it possibly is,

but it will tell me which
direction it's headed,

and that's crucial information
because that will help us

ascertain just what is happening.

With this split in the migration route.

So the placement of
these seismic sensors

are extremely important

because that sensors radius

has to overlap with the previous one.

Otherwise you're gonna
get a gap in the wire

and something could cross through.

Russell has two more sensors to put up,

and mireya and biko
only have one to go online.

And this thing will be
completely operational.

And this entire area will be locked down.

And if there are sasquatch

moving in and around this area,

there's just no way they're
gonna be able to slip by us.

It looks like there's a decent trail there.

I wouldn't call it a decent trail.

Back inside the target zone.

Mireya and biko have one
more seismic sensor to deploy

in order to complete the western
side of the seismic trip line.

I'm not really seeing
an obvious way down.

Maybe we can follow
this creek down here.

Not looking great.

Man.

Aw!

Yeah, lot of rotten logs.

Slippery rocks.

That doesn't look good.

It looks like it's getting a lot steeper too.

I'm not really seeing a way through this.

- Do you have that map on you?
- -Yeah.

I'm used to hunting alone.

So it's great to have
someone out here like mireya

who's got such massive
experience with these expeditions.

There's no way that we
can go down this way.

You know, it's a real luxury to
be able to put our heads together

and just problem solve
out here in the wilderness.

On the fly.

It looks like streams and creeks.

I'm out here looking for evidence

to prove the existence of this species.

If you're worried about
somebody's safety,

you're going to miss clues.

With somebody like biko

maybe we can follow one of those down.

I know I don't have to
worry about him out here,

and I can just focus on the task at hand.

So we're here.

And we need to set up
the rest of that radar fence.

Over on that side.

It looks like this ridge line
just keeps going for miles

for this seismic trip line. To work properly,

we have to deploy these sensors

in very specific locations.

We're gonna have to get off this Ridge.

There's a couple of notches
that we could check out.

Might be an easier place to get down.

But setting up this seismic perimeter

is just the first step in this investigation.

We've still got lots of work to do.

So we need to get this last
sensor placed before nightfall.

That looks pretty steep.

That does not look good.

What are the bearings?

It should be about a mile in that direction.

Well, there's two options here.

One will take us through
that thick, dense, steep bush

or we have ropes.

- Rappel down that?
- Absolutely.

I wouldn't have thought to
repel as a survivalist mindset.

Normally, I'm going to take less risks.

Safer route.

But we got to get this
fence up as soon as possible.

- Ready?
- Looks good.

All right.

Let's rock and roll, then,

all right, biko?

So far, so good.

We're getting closer to the waterfall here.

All right.

Even the most veteran
climbers will tell you

that any time you get near water,

it can be extremely dangerous.

All it takes is one slip.

Being well over a 100 feet up.

That's a long way down.

It's gonna get real
slippery from here on out.

Okay.

Rock!

Wow!

It's like ice here.

Super slippery?

Man.

Mireya?

Mireya?

Wow!

That one got me.

You all right?

Yep.

Do you still like this plan?

My brake is jumpy.

Yeah, that's when the roping went.

Nothing makes two people bond faster

than a near death
experience dangling over a cliff.

Whoo! Made it.

Almost there, biko.

You all right there?

Made it down.

I'm good.

It felt good to put those
roots back into the earth.

- We did it.
- We did.

We could get back to business.

We have about another mile to go,

and then we can finish
setting up the tripwire.

- All right. Sounds good.
- You ready?

Yeah. Let's do it.

A little overcast. Not bad.

Eighteen miles away from
mireya and biko's position.

Russell heads to the farthest edge

of the eastern quadrant

to deploy his final seismic sensor.

Nope, nope, nope.

Backup.

Holy crap.

That whole ledge we were
on drops off like 200 feet.

That's undercut.

It wouldn't take much of our body weight,

and this would collapse.

Let me see your camera.

I'll show you what I mean.

You've got to see that.

As I look at the side,

I see the soil that I'm
standing on is undercut

there is nothing beneath me.

That goes straight down.

That was... that gave me goosebumps.

That was dangerous.

Holy!

You can't get in a rush out here.

God, that could have been awful.

Had I been moving fast and stepped

too far out onto that ledge.

This would be a
completely different story.

According to the map. This is it.

I'm glad we're getting
done before nightfall.

Now that I have this last sensor in place,

my plan is to circle back down

to where Bryce saw those nests.

That way, if I get o n the
trail of anything, I can push it

towards those seismic sensors.

We have this whole
seismic fence line set up.

Set the last one up here.

Meanwhile, miles away,

on the opposite end
of the seismic trip wire,

mireya and biko arrive
at the designated location

to place their final sensor.

Now that the last sensor
is in place, we can dry off

and make camp for the night.

Before heading back
to base camp tomorrow.

With the seismic trip line fully in place,

the night descends on
the forest of Washington.

Just outside the target zone.

Bryce is meeting with
a local big foot expert,

who has asked to rendezvous in an area

where he believes big foot are nearby.

It's clear to me from the sheer

number of eyewitness reports,

that something is drawing big foot

to what we are calling the fork.

I want to know why this area

is so important to these creatures.

But in order to do that, I need to find out

the local history of the
sasquatch in this area.

Which is why I'm headed into the heart

of the fork to speak with
a man named Tom suet,

who's a prominent member
of the quack walk band.

Because no one knows more about

the historical knowledge of big foot.

Than the people who live in this area.

So, Tom, why do you think there's
so many sasquatch sightings here?

Because there's so much abundance.

The salmon, steel head, crayfish,

ungulates, elk and a
list goes on. It's a buffet.

Yeah, it sounds like the perfect
opportunity to gorge and feast.

Is it just a resource thing,
or is there something else

taking place here?

So on the peninsula,
especially on the West Side

many Indian tribes,
invite people to a pot latch.

As we coastal people call the gathering

and then the interior of
North America, the powwow.

Originating among
the indigenous peoples

of the pacific northwest.

The pot latch, similar to a powwow

in the central region of the United States,

is a culturally significant ceremonial feast

that typically lasts several days.

These gatherings are
marked by the giving of gifts,

singing, dancing and storytelling.

Designed to reinforce relationships

between families,
clans and different tribes.

These ceremonies often include tales

from indigenous oral traditions.

Featuring mysterious
creatures such as sasquatch.

Coming together like that
the sasquatch is no different.

They have culture, they have songs.

We have stories.

Especially from here, Washington state.

Even one person
reported back in the 70s,

- seeing over 40 sasquatches...
- wow, that's crazy.

It's a rendezvous. It's
a powwow, pot latch.

Wow, that's so incredible.

The idea that people have
seen big foot gatherings

or pot latch is blowing my mind.

Now we're here investigating
the perfect natural choke point.

Because the data suggests that lots
of big foot are moving through this area.

But what if it's more than just a highway?

What if it's the destination?

So it's night one of the expedition,

and already I'm feeling really good

about how things have started.

Back inside of the target zone.

Mireya and biko have established

a temporary camp for the night

after placing the last
sensor of the seismic trip line.

I'm incredibly excited to
have biko as part of our team.

I think he is going to
be an incredible asset.

Just given his background.

His skill sets and for me, it's just
nice to have someone out here.

That has the experience.

But also the trained eye in looking for

for tracks and clues.

I want to be able to pull my weight

on this team and be a
valuable asset. To everyone.

And as a newcomer to the team,

I feel a fair bit of pressure

to, you know, find some,
kind of, tangible evidence

of this creature's existence.

I'm pretty tired and worn out.

A lot of hiking,

and, not a lot of rest.

So, I'm hoping I can get some sleep.

I just heard some weird screeches.

What is that?

What is that?

Mireya?

- Hey.
- Hey.

- Did you hear that weird screech?
- I did.

It sounded like something
being mauled or attacked.

It, kind of, sounded like it
was faintly in that direction.

All right.

I'll be honest. When I
first I heard that sound,

not that I think this is what it was...,

but it sounded like a woman screaming.

And it sounds overly dramatic,
and I'm not saying that's what it was,

- sort of writhing in pain.
- Right, right.

What did you think it was?

It really reminded me
of like a predator call.

Like something you would use
to call in coyote or mountain lion.

You know, something that
mimics the sound of a dying rabbit?

That sounded weird.

I've heard stories that bigfoots will mimic

other animal sounds in the woods.

And it's my belief that
bigfoots are hunter-gatherers.

And if that is the case,

then this would be an
amazing tactic to lure prey in.

But whether or not that's true,

I think the only way we're
gonna find out is if we take the bait

and go see what that was.

It's difficult to say exactly
where it came from.

It, sort of, seemed like it came
from over in that general area.

All right, let's start
making our way that way.

Okay.

As mireya and biko pursue the
mysterious screech into the darkness,

seven miles away
outside the target zone.

Bryce continues to
speak with Tom sewid,

a tribal member, who
claims to have information

on big foot gatherings in the area

known as potlatches.

So it sounds like these big foot
potlatches are a meeting place

for all these disparate
clans or tribes of big foot.

Is there any sort of a clue that can
let us know that that's happening?

Mass vocalizations.

That's what you're listening for.

A bunch of clans coming together

where you hear the big males roaring...

"My name's Tom.

I'm Bryce."

- Right.
- -And, "I'm clan this.

I'm clan that."

They're gonna hit the ground, tear trees,

ears flat, hackles up, growl at each other.

Then you have the
high-pitched warbling screeching,

that's females.

Based on the sasquatch
behavior that Tom is describing,

it sounds like these creatures
are coming here to intermingle.

And if that's the case,

then we might be able to adjust
our strategy out here in the field.

Is there a way to, sort of, intersect,

to where this thing takes place?

Do we know where this
meeting takes place?

If you want to find a sasquatch,

start thinking like a sasquatch.

So if you want to find a
rendezvous this time of the year,

it's about the young
coming together like that,

strengthening the seed, the species.

Right.

And sometimes you have
the younger sasquatches

capping that teenage attitude.

You know, it's usually time to,

"okay. That's enough. If you're out
of the nest, go find your own territory."

- Sure.
- -Then you have these travelers,

the ones that are loners.

They are those sasquatches
that we call rogues.

So these rogues, they don't settle down,

they don't find mates,
they don't have families?

They were settled down.

They had a mate, they had children.

And then a younger, bigger,
tougher male toppled them.

Exiled in their own territory,

- something snaps.
- Wow.

We hear the Indians talk about
the cannibals from the forest.

Translate our native name for it,

sasquatch means cannibal giants.

We have stories of bones all over

where they jump coyotes and deer

birds and just kill 'em and leave 'em.

Hearing how these younger sasquatch

may be able to overthrow
established pods

causing the older alphas to go rogue,

all I can think of is an 800-pound
beast let loose in the forest.

This is, potentially, something

that could be very
dangerous for our team.

I've run across a couple
of rogues in my time.

When I was out in the bush one night,

I woke up in the middle
of the night, quiet like this,

I could hear... Downwind from me.

And a

pungent odor vile as yuck, brother,

big stinking sasquatch.

I looked up,

I seen that he was a Rouge.

He was big. He was like...

- Shoulders like that on him.
- Man.

And when he grimaced at me,

you can see the tendons,

and you can just see the anger.

He's just like, "what are you doing here?"

- Wow.
- You know, that's the kind of attitude

in his face he was wreathing.

He just stood up

up the hill and disappeared.

That's amazing.

- Watch you're footing in here.
- -Yep.

I always tell people when they say,

"well, what happens if
we don't heed the warning"

of a tree knock, a tree
being pushed at you,

sticks being thrown
at you, chest pounding?

"Right."

Watch out.

Like I say, "fear the Rouge."

Stories of big foot in Washington

go back a millennia amongst
the tribes of the pacific northwest,

but my favorite one takes place in 1924.

As the story goes, Fred Beck was
mining in and around mount Saint helens

when he saw a creature
across the ravine,

and he shot at it.

Well, he regretted that

because later that night
their cabin was invaded

by a group of seven-foot
tall, hair covered ape men.

These creatures came and
started banging on the doors.

One miner even said, a huge

tried to grab him and pull him out.

But the story doesn't really end there

because it, actually,
made a huge sensation

when it was reported to the local press.

This incident helped to launch
the curiosity about sasquatch

into the national consciousness.

And, lo and behold, the big
foot phenomenon was born.

After establishing a temporary camp

in the western quadrant
of the target zone,

mireya and biko are pursuing
a strange screech they heard

in the middle of the night.

It came from this general direction.

We have no idea
what made that sound...

Let's just keep going that way.

But many predators use mimicry to hunt.

So, we need to be on guard.

As they near the area they believe

to be the source of the sound,

they switch to their red lights

in order to decrease their visual footprint

and maintain the element of surprise.

That means there's more
than one animal that's been

consumed in here.

There's bones everywhere in here.

There's a scapula there, too.

big old leg bone here.

Wow.

That's way too big to be deer.

It's got chew marks.

Something was gnawing on it.

If these are elk bones...

We might very well
be in a predator zone.

With all this moss growing on it...

Yeah. It's been here a while.

But the fact that we have

a higher concentration of
bones than you'd expect...

Something's using this
area as a hunting ground.

Something big enough
to take down an elk.

That means we're talking about...

Cougars, wolves, black bear,

or something else.

It's possible that whatever was
making that screeching noise

is using this area to feed

and is a very large animal.

These older, gnawed bones indicate
that there could be fresh ones nearby.

All these bones in this area
really makes me nervous.

We got to keep our
heads on a swivel out here.

This carcass is fairly fresh,

I would say within the last month or two.

If these creatures hunt
within a zone or an area,

it's safe to say that they're
still hunting in this region.

This place feels weird.

Look at the size of these things.

I found some really old mining culverts

where the water runs
through under a pass.

Dude, there's something in this culvert.

I don't know, but let's go

once we get a certain distance,

there'll be no coming back?

Whatever that was, it
went right through here.
