Hello. I'm Joe Pera.

And I just got back from my first-ever bachelor party.

It was for Sue Melsky's brother Dave.

I actually only met him once.

But Mike Melsky was hosting at his cabin

and practically begged me to come,

along with my 150-quart cooler

that holds up to 223 cans.

I got it as a gift when I graduated college.

Ow.

♪♪

At first, I was skeptical of the whole bachelor party thing.

Geez.

I sound like a bride.

It's just that I don't often hang out with guys my own age.

If only there were a book titled

"How to Connect With Other Men in Their 30s."

I would read the whole thing

and then be the life of the party.

[ Gunfire and explosions on TV ]

Hey, guys.

Thanks for watching Gus while I was away.

How did it go?

Josh ate the dog food.Shut up.

He thought it was cereal.

Shut up!

Can we stay and watch the rest of the movie?

Sure.

Sarah's coming over soon,

and I was just about to get dinner started.

Which you're welcome to stay for.

We're having dog food.

Just kidding.

We're having salmon, mashed potatoes,

asparagus, and water.

Cool. I actually like asparagus.

That is cool.

And, um, so you guys know,

you're always welcome here.

Thanks.Thanks, Joe.

Joe: The guys were real nice to make me feel welcome,

but since I hadn't gotten comfortable around them,

I wasn't super talkative.

Mike wasn't saying much, either.

But I reminded myself

what I tell the boys in choir before a concert.

Even if you feel silly,

just go with the flow and trying to have fun.

Yeah, 100%. I'm just giving credit.

-[ Speaks indistinctly ] -Hell yeah.

So, Dave.

What are the top 10 reasons

you're most excited to get married?

Um [Chuckles] I don't know that I could do 10

off the top of my head,

but, I mean, obviously Maria's a total smoke show.

Ahh. Oh, damn.

One of the rules this weekend

was that every time Dave said his fiancée, Maria's, name,

he had to do a shot.

It's like they were training him

to associate her with nausea and vomiting.

Again? Damn.

This night is about to turn into "The Hangover."

All we need is a baby, a tiger,

and for Joel to get his teeth knocked out.

And strippers. JK.

Dave: Dude, no strippers, man. I promised Maria.

Oh, my God, dude.Oh, whoops.

I love her so much. I'm gonna keep saying her name.

Sorry, guys. Whew, there's a lot of this whiskey.

You gonna be all right?

Yo, does anybody got a pill speaker?

We need to get some ♪ boom-boom-pow in here.

Joel, aren't you a music guy?

I actually teach middle-school choir.

Nice, dude. I'm in sales.

I wish I was pulling down six figures like you, though.

Stacking dough, you know what I mean?

I'm actually saving up right now so I can buy this plane.

Check it out. Wow.

Believe it or not, I've never been on an airplane before.

No. Yo, I can't even process that.

I need a brewski like my mama needs a kidney.

How's she doing, by the way?

She's hanging in there.

Yeah. All you can do, man. Joe.

I'm okay. Oh.

I'm sorry.

Jimmy brought all the beer for the weekend.

He's a sales rep for the craft brewery

where Maria bartends.

That's how she and Dave met.

Jimmy and Dave have been friends since childhood.

They made a pact when they were 9

that they'd be the best men at each other's wedding.

Sorry. I'm mostly saying this stuff

so I can remember it myself.

Shit was bootylicious.

Yeah, it's our new IPA.

It's a double dry-hopped with Citra hops

to give it that nice citrusy flavor.

Not really a shotgun beer, but...

It does taste good.

I was thinking of taking a hike.

If I could see an eastern milk snake today,

I'd be a pretty happy man.

I think we're just gonna be chilling here,

but it's pretty cool that you offered that up, man.

Thanks.

No.

whatever pops into his head as it pops into his head.

It usually takes me a long time to decide what to say.

Speaking of, I had such a lovely hike.

Kind of thought it was a shame everyone else

preferred to just drink beer and eat sausage.
