I do not minimize the difficulties,

on which we have embarked.

The emergence of India
as a major economic power,

in the world happens
to be one such idea.

Let the whole world
hear it loud and clear.

India is now wide awake.

We shall prevail. We shall overcome.

Dr. Singh’s address gave the
common man three new words.

Liberalization.
Privatization. Globalization.

Experts say these economic
reforms will end the Licence Raj,

and open key sectors
to foreign investments.
