nor the somber mystery

of the medium's parlor.

(thunder cracks)

of showmanship.

(thunder rumbles)

Fires are the archenemy

of the circus, Mr. Bragg.

to slake its thirst.

for it to be in need

when the audience arrives.

it does what we want it to do.

our performers

are 100% reliable.

actually penetrate
the animal's flesh,

That suggests
the viewer may witness

the event itself.
