Wildrose to see Mr. Doyle about work

calling for the railroad.

The weather has turned.

I recall what Nettie Peter said.

How winter comes on suddenly in the
Dakota Territory.

Back home, it's Indian summer.

But here, there's already the smell of
snow in the air.

I don't know why I got the fool idea to
show you Eliza and Harley's shanties.

I wanted to see them.

And the weather was fine when we set
out.

birds in a nest on the headboard.

although I bathe him three and four

times a day.

mind's set on getting you a milch cow.

real cast iron.

The blizzard has gone on for five days

Somehow I must get to the barn for the
last of the hay twists.
