It's time for a high-octane, adrenaline fueled episode of Planet Action!
We are about to get you leaping over buildings in a single bound because today, it’s all about stunts!
The cars in this film amaze. They do things that normal cars don't do
They're faster. They have these injections and all that stuff
And sometimes they are built from nothing.
Later on in the show, we get schooled on how to be a professional stuntman
we check out stars who kick butt on screen as if they were trained stuntmen themselves
and check out the perfect place to perform death-defying maneuvers
But first Our top 3 fast and furious stunts
پلنت اکشن
If there’s one franchise that makes lovers of practical effects drool all the time, then it has to be the ‘Fast and the Furious’ series
Car crashes, explosions, stunts and actors performing live threatening maneuvers
yes, they’re all legit!
But even within the saga, some are more extreme than others
so let’s take a look at our top 3 ‘Fast and Furious’ stunts
We kick things off with the climactic scene from ‘Fast Five
Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto and his crew steal a safe and drag it with them through the streets of Rio de Janeiro
They’re going quite fast and the money filled vault is quite the burden, it goes all over the place, demolishing everything in its path
While it worked fine with a fake safe that’s being pushed against object designed to fall apart on impact
in reality though, this heist would have been impossible to pull off
Editors from a magazine have asked a physicist to do the math and he calculated that it would take about 467 cars of that make to gain enough horsepower to drag the vault at the speed in the scene
Ahw well, who watches ‘Fast and Furious’ scenes for the realism anyway
The Rock sure as hell doesn’t.
I've just never been that guy. Never been into engines and let me get under the hood. What engine you got there? Let me fix it, and all that shit. It's not my thing. I can appreciate it though, but it's just not my thing
Today’s number two spot is for the flip car from ‘Fast & Furious 6’
It’s the most immoral and selfish way to get through traffic, as it causes so much havoc, you’ll only leave a bigger jam behind
Then again, the movie’s villain doesn’t use it for that purpose
Instead he drives headfirst into incoming cars and tosses them in the air, while not slowing down one bit
Unlike the vault scene this one could actually be pulled off for real. Well sort of
They cheated a bit by using a rail to make sure the flying vehicles wouldn’t land on the flip car itself
The cars in this film amaze. They do things that normal cars don't do. They're faster. They have these injections and all that stuff. And sometimes they are built from nothing. And the flip car that my character drives was built from scratch. Basically, built from scratch, which is incredible. And it did exactly what it was supposed to do. There wasn't a fake one. It was the real one.
And on to our winner, the scene from ‘Furious 7’ where they drive out of an airplane and land using parachutes
The sequence in question was also tested by a physician, who came to the conclusion that there’s no real reason why it couldn’t happen as depicted in the film. With the best possible equipment, a very strong chute it works, although landing in the right spot is tricky. Accelerating to 200 miles an hour the second they hit the ground, as they do in the movie, might push the envelope of what’s actually achievable, however
You gotta love it. You gotta do it, and I think this movie is exciting because we keep people guessing and you never know what's gonna be next

It would be pretty funny to see this actor in a rom-com or a musical
because he talks like an action star
I feel like I learn more of them than they from me
so I'm really receptive, you know
walks like an action star
and is built like a... house
Flex your muscles and take cover as we check out Vin Diesel
پلنت اکشن
This big screen tough guy knows a thing or two about cars
used to work as a bouncer and has probably one of the most recognizable voices in Hollywood
''I am Groot!
Of course, we're talking about the one and only Vin Diesel
Born Mark Sinclair on July 18th, 1967
the future action star and his twin brother were raised by their mom Delora and stepdad dad Irving H.Vincent
because their biological father left them before they were born
Diesel developed a passion for performing from a very young age and by chance got his first acting gig when he was just seven years old
Vin and his twin brother along with some friends, broke into a New York theatre to vandalize it
but were confronted by the artistic director, who offered them parts in the show rather than calling the police
Vin kept on performing throughout high school and college, working as a bouncer to support his dream
Bouncers traditionally adopt aliases
and it was then that the muscular star took on his nom de plume
with Vin coming from his stepfather's last name Vincent, and Diesel being a nickname that he earned for his non-stop energy
After three years of college Diesel dropped out and went to Hollywood in order to make it as an actor
but that didn't go as smoothly as he'd hoped
In 1994, the ambitious star wrote, directed and starred in the short film 'Multi-Facial
about his experiences being turned down for roles due to his skin color
The short was shown at the Cannes Film Festival the following spring
where it was seen by Steven Spielberg, who liked it so much that he wrote a part specifically for Vin
in 'Saving Private Ryan
From there, Diesel has become one of the most in-demand actors in Hollywood
especially in action movies, like the 'Riddick' and 'Fast & Furious' franchises

The seventh fast and furious film had one of the coolest action sequences and most adrenaline-pumping stunts ever seen on screen
Let’s find out more about this crazy ride
پلنت اکشن
The action spectacle 'Furious 7’ had a turbulent shoot and became a massive hit,
and right now, we'll dive deep into this blockbuster film
We'll learn some secrets from behind the scenes
and examine how Paul Walker's death influenced the entire movie,
as halfway through shooting the film, Paul died in an offscreen car crash, devastating the cast who'd known him for years
as halfway through shooting the film, Paul died in an offscreen car crash, devastating the cast who'd known him for years
and his mother said, I'm sorry
and I said why are you saying you are sorry to me you just lost your son
she said, I know but you lost your other half
in some ways he was the only person that understood …me
sometimes more than my family& friends
Because he and I came up together and that’s kind of iconic status, we came to this iconic status
And only we, we knew where we come from and…
there was something
I immediately thought like the word was suddenly a lonely place
I just cried like a baby.
And then I just immediately started thinking about his daughter and his family man
And it took, you know, months of mourning
and the production shut down, but when we came back together, we knew that we had to finish this in his honor
It was definitely one of the worst days of my… probably the worst day of my life
It was the hardest thing I’ve ever been through, for sure
Because Paul died before the movie was finished, production had to be postponed
as they needed to rewrite the script to give his character a proper send-off
To make up for the missing shots and dialogue
they used some deleted scenes from previous instalments of the franchise
Also, they had Walker's brothers Caleb and Cody come on board as body doubles to film additional material
Also, they had Walker's brothers Caleb and Cody come on board as body doubles to film additional material
The set of 'Furious 7' wasn't all depressing though
as it's also home to some of the coolest stunts ever created for a motion picture
In one scene the cast drives out of a flying plane with parachutes attached to their cars
and crazily enough they did this for real
Well the stuntmen did to be precise
From 12,000 feet in the air, skydivers jumped off together with the cars to capture footage
Only sometimes, debris came off the cars, so they had to be extremely careful
In one instance the chute didn't open at all… which meant the end of that vehicle
It turned out to be just one of a total of 230 cars that were destroyed during the making of the film
so it seems flying 'em is safer than driving
'Furious 7' ended up earning over one and a half billion dollars
We have a feeling that in those follow-ups we'll see even more death defying stunts and hundreds more wrecked cars
Sadly though, Paul Walker won't be driving any of them

Still to come on this episode of Planet Action
Michelle Rodriguez reminds us why she's the go-to tough chick in Hollywood
let's do this
And we check out the dream stunt location of Dubai
this is just a tipical?? ice room
you know what i like about you Gum
You are a genuine outlaw
But first, we find out what it takes to be a stuntman
پلنت اکشن
Lights, camera and most importantly, action!
Today we’ll be taking closer look at stuntmen and learn what it takes to be a pro
Let’s kick things off with the good stuff
We’ve gone through our archives and this is the most painful looking crash we could find
Yeah, that goes a bit fast
But seriously, look at this guy
that’s tarmac he’s landing on, not a pile of pillows
The competition between stuntmen is insane
For reasons unclear to us, lots of people want to be one
Afraid to lose their jobs if they come forward, they often continue doing their job with broken bones without telling anyone
And soldiering on like that seems to be the credo in that industry
They don’t take credit for what they do, they just endure and keep going
Sometimes studios do decide to put a stuntman or woman in the spotlight
Like when the cast of ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ was doing press junkets
Tom Hardy’s body double Jacob Tomuri was given the chance to join him.
Tom is very physical. He can do the majority of the stunts himself.
So, he’s capable of doing everything
he could’ve been a great stunt man himself. No, no, no
To be fair Jacob is being nice and humble as a lot of stunt men are
but to be fair this is a huge stunt movie
And it’s a huge action movie. And everything is live action
And what’s going on is also a testament to the stunt department and the drivers and everybody who was involved in that athletic side which Jacob represents today
There could be no Mad Max, no Furiosa, none of the articulated action characters if it wasn’t for a complete harmonious synchronicity between the departments of acting and the stunt department
Finding a mad man to drive a bus that flips over like this is surprisingly easy
But sometimes for films they need people with pretty unique skills
like, the most suicidal daredevils out there
Take the reboot of ‘Point Break’ for example
In it, a band of criminals pull off heists using some of the most extreme sports known to man
But instead of shooting it with green screens, the director just asked top athletes in those sports to serve as stuntmen
the director just asked top athletes in those sports to serve as stuntmen
He explained to me that he needed four wing suit pilots to do something extraordinary in wing suits.
So, we instantly started thinking about it and the locations was a place in Switzerland
where the wing suit pilots could fly in-between camera positions and then go underground in-between trees
And this is without a doubt the most precise wing suit flight ever flown.Ever.Period
To have four guys in that close proximity to the ground going in-between camera positions, is incredibly dangerous
And ordinarily you would do that on a green screen
But because they did it for real it makes it just so much more powerful
three,two,one here they are
Very rarely do stuntmen get discovered by filmmakers, but it does happen
The best example is probably Zoe Bell
She served as Uma Thurman’s body double for the ‘Kill Bill’ movies
Director Quentin Tarantino recognized her talents and eventually cast her for a leading role in ‘Death Proof’
These days Zoe almost completely stopped her stunt work and become an actress
Although she does still sometimes give stunt master classes
I mean it sounds weird to say that it’s heartwarming watching people learn to beat each other up
but it is exactly that. It’s watching people come out of their shells
A lot of the times it’s the guys that want to be badass but are embarrassed to
Or it's like the girls that never have thrown a punch or given the permission to scream
or make rah sounds you know?
You will never take my diamonds! Action!
To answer the question of what it takes to be a good stunt man or woman;
well it’s really quite simple
It’s dedication, as the competition is killer, and being humble helps too, as you get basically zero recognition
Then you need some nerves of steel and most of all you’ve got to be able to endure pain
Like a lot of pain.
Let’s conclude this item with that awful crash again, just for the joy of it

We’ve seen quite a few stunts from the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise already
cut
And one lady has been popping up a lot in that series,
You know it’s the closest that human being can come to being is super hero
Because it’s the closest you can come to stepping outside of your human limitations
so,let’s find out more of Hollywood tough chic Michelle Rodriguez
پلنت اکشن
This Latina firecracker sure knows how to handle a car
drops jaws when walking the red carpet and has a pretty solid acting career
I could rule the world. I could do whatever I want
No big deal
That's right! We're talking about headstrong troublemaker Michelle Rodriguez
Born in Texas, Michelle lived in the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico as a kid, before landing in New Jersey at 17
She had a tough time in high school and attended college only briefly before deciding to try her hand as an actress
After two years of struggling, she landed her breakout role, as a tough female boxer in the film 'Girl fight
The success of her bad girl persona in that film led directly into her career as one of Hollywood's best female butt kickers
in movies like 'Avatar', 'Machete Kills', and of course the 'Fast and Furious' franchise
Since the series obviously features plenty of hard driving action
Michelle who didn't have a license when she was cast
studied quickly even as the movie was being shot
Something that still feels very special to the actress
You know what's so beautiful about cars, first and foremost
is that you can step into an exoskeleton if you will...
and all of a sudden become a superhero
Why?
Because the minute you press on that gas,
you're going superhuman speed
You're going at a speed you couldn't run if you tried
You're doing something that the only way that you can reach those speeds is jumping off this ledge right here
And it would end really ugly if you have nothing soft to fall on
So, you know…It's the closest a human being can come to be a superhero
because it’s the closest you can come to stepping outside of your human limitations
And go speeds that you could never undergo
So, for me it’s the closest a normal person can come to be being extraordinary
And she's not just unconventional onscreen
In her personal life, Rodriguez has been a controversial figure
and as actually having spent a total of 26 days in jail
mostly for driving-related offences
She's also been quite open about her sexuality
preferring to eschew traditional labels.
I think that you know, people should just be open minded
Just not label things by what they see, you know
Because just cause a female is a boxer or you know, a tomboy, doesn't mean she's a lesbian or a butch or wants to be a man, you know?"
Michelle Rodriguez may play a butt-kicking tomboy on screen
but the gorgeous Latina is always stylish and chic on the red carpet
Something she might not have expected from herself earlier in life
’It was never really important to me before
As I get older it’s becoming more important
Just because I’m wearing my attitude, you know what I mean?
And for me like...
you know I hated the girly thing before
I'm Like oh my god why, I’d rather just be naked, you know I’m so bohemian I’m like
but the world isn’t like that you know you have to kind of wear your attitude on your sleeves
so you know I’m slowly getting into it and I’m starting to shop and do my thing you know
But it’s something that has taken me many years to accept
Cause I always refused, I’m like no I don’t wanna get dressed up
I’m going to work in flip-flops and jeans and be comfortable
and you’re going to be looking at me, wishing you weren’t in those heels
It's obvious Michelle has changed her mind and we love how her style has evolved over the years
The combination of great acting skills, toughness and beauty makes Michelle Rodriguez one of the most powerful women in Hollywood
and her fans wouldn't have it any other way
Dude I just saw some major buttcrack
Yeah
whay am i around?

When the cast and crew of The Fast and Furious chose Abu Dhabi over Dubai as the location for their spectacular tower-to-tower-car-jumping scene
, the world was puzzled because... well
who wouldn't want to perform stunts using the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa?
شما صدمه می بینید یه سری مشکلات به وجود میاد
و این بخشی از کار هست هیچ راهی برای دور زدنش وجود نداره

Here's what they missed out on, in Dubai
پلنت اکشن
If you’re looking for one of the most luxurious and glamorous places in the world
Dubai should be very high on the list
One of seven states that make up the United Arab Emirates federation
, it is the most modern and progressive emirate, developing at an unbelievable pace
Over the past four decades it has metamorphosed from a small fishing village into one of the world’s most spectacular and futuristic destinations
For example, Dubai houses the world’s tallest structure, the Burj Khalifa
which is 2716.5 ft high
and has 160 floors
with the world’s highest observation deck on the 124th
Right next to it, you’ll find an impressive dancing fountain system
900 ft in length and shooting water up to 500 ft
it’s also the largest in the world
On top of that, the Dubai mall is one of the biggest shopping centers in the world
and inside you’ll find one of the biggest aquariums in
that’s right, the world.
Or have you heard of the Palm Islands?
The three largest artificial islands in the world
each one shaped like a palm tree
The only one of the three open to visitors is the Palm Jumeirah
home to the famous hotel Burj Al Arab.
What the Eiffel Tower is to Paris, the Burj Al Arab is to Dubai
The iconic landmark, which many call the most luxurious hotel in the world
comes with its own helipad and a fleet of chauffeur-driven Rolls Royce’s
Take a look inside and gawk at the interior of the 590-foot-high lobby, which could fit the Statue of Liberty inside it.
The Palm Islands have 5000 waterfront apartments, 4000 residential villas and 60 hotels
as well as a number of marinas, health spas, shopping malls, restaurants and much more
The islands were completed in only four years
each one requiring over 53 million pounds of sand and 12 million pounds of rock to be created.
It’s no wonder the A-listers know to flock to Dubai too
The Beckhams, Madonna and Giorgio Armani own houses in the city
Tom Cruise did his world famous stunt, climbing the Burj Khalifa, for ‘Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol’
and actress and philanthropist Eva Longoria chose the city as the setting for her annual Global Gift Gala
which aims to create a positive impact on the lives of children and women in need.
Coming to Dubai every year is so much fun.
It’s the place to be. It’s such a glamorous place
and there’s so many generous people here
So, we wanted to connect the dots with Dubai and the rest of the world in the sense of philanthropy
Singer Anastacia, who attended the event in 2016, was visiting Dubai for the first time and fell in love with the city right away
I’m still in a bit of an awe
I’m here at one o’clock in the morning and I’m just sort of breathing it all in
. It’s so gorgeous here, it’s great. And the people are so nice.
Everybody is so nice here
I’m like I want to come back tomorrow and stay here. So, it’s great
It really is a city of superlatives
: if you’re looking for the fastest, biggest, tallest, largest or highest
Dubai is the place to be
