All language subtitles for Piccadilly Incident (H. Wilcox, 1946)

This case is unusual, but unfortunately
not unique.

And no legal machinery exists
to meet the circumstances of

this and many similar cases
arising out of the war period.

Until this legal defect is remedied,
and provision made to meet such cases,

the innocent will
continue to suffer the

embarrassment of social
stigma and even ostracism.

As you have heard, this case started in
1941, during the height of the Blitz.

It was one of the casual things that go
with that period.

An incident in Piccadilly, and a chance
meeting of a man and a girl.
