About maybe, I don't know, five years ago,
Kiyoshi told me that he wanted to leave

California probably
and try to coach full time.

It's not easy.

I think over the years that
he's coached, I can count

probably at least ten coaches
that have gotten divorced.

time away from their families.

Well, it's been like a rough,
a little bit of a rough season.

Season two, because I started having eye
problems in July before we moved out here.

And then I have optic neuritis, which
is like where your optic nerve is swollen.

And that's been stressful
because I probably have MS, which

is because they found like
active lesions on my brain.

So we're just waiting
for an actual diagnosis,

but they're pretty sure
that that's what it is.

She was just kind of
diagnosed, so they wanted

to start her on some
treatments right away.

So she was going in for like
every six hours for her IV treatment.

For three days in a row.

For three days straight.

Yeah, I was a true coach's
wife, though, because

I went to the games
with my IV in my arm.

I had it wrapped up and covered.

And then I got there, I told the nurses,
you got to hurry because I got to make

kickoff because he
likes me there for kickoff.

So right after that, I left
and went and I had to be

hooked back up to the IVs
and got the next treatment.

That's what it is.

You kind of don't depend on them a
lot because you don't want to lose them.

You want to put pressure,
more pressure on them.

So you learn to just
be very independent.
