It's was late, I was
closing up the offices

on the first floor when I heard something

slam to the ground in one of the offices.

the building at the time?

I walked over to where

the sound came from and
the door was unlocked,

which was weird because
I know I had locked it.

I was a little scared to open
the door because I thought

maybe for a second that someone
might have came in behind me

but it was impossible because
the outside doors were locked.

Did you go and open the door?

I touched the doorknob
and started to turn it

when the door flew open
and a gust of hot wind

like, came over me.

At first I thought the radiator

or something might have exploded.

But I thought why would
the door open inward?

Did you see anything

or hear anything in there?

I thought I heard my name
when the hot air was on me,

kind of like a low sound
like from far away.

I just backed up and
ran out of the building

as fast as I could.

Wait, you thought you heard

this whatever it was say your name?

Yeah.

Did you reply to it?

My cogo, my grandma,
always told us that when

things like that call or say your name

you're not supposed to answer.

Really, and why is that?

Because whatever it is, it can take you.

Had anything like
that ever happened before?

To me personally?

Yeah.

No, that was the only time
I had ever had something

happen to me, but you know
you can kind of feel things

in here from time to time though.

Well you've probably
heard some of the stories

in the building already from
other staff, but there were

some unexplained things
going on. Caused our students

to stop wanting to come here.

the paranormal things?

The students would see
things and get scared,

they'd be crying in our program
and isolating themselves

from the other students.

What did the
parents think about this?

When we started having
all of our students quitting

we did exit interviews where
we asked our students to

draw us a picture of what they
were seeing in the Center,

and these are some of those pictures.

Now, all the pictures that I'm
showing you are all pictures

that were drawn by students
that were having experiences

in the stairwell and seeing these things.

This one in particular was from a student

that was chased, two
students that were chased

down and out of the stairwell.

They saw whatever that
was on the fourth floor,

heard a noise and when they
turned something scared them

enough that they never came back.

This is the last one I
wanna show you guys today.

Is that the student's house

or what's that structure?

When we were in the
interview and the student

was explaining what they
were drawing, they told us

that this was the Center,
and that this darkness,

this entity is above the Center

all the time that's why they
don't wanna come here anymore.

I was talking with a parent

shortly after the program closed down

about a reoccurring dream
that their child was having

about the Button Man.

What's the Button Man?

According to the student
they've seen the Button Man

here at the Center.

The Button Man was a
serial murderer, he raped

and tortured four girls in
the area in the early 2000s.

Why was he called the Button Man?

He placed black buttons
over the eyes of his victims,

and he would secure them with long nails

that he would put through the button holes

and into their eyes.

Oh my God.

Yeah, it was pretty, yeah.

Yeah, we found out later
through the investigation

that the girls were alive and conscious

when he did it to 'em.

Is that how they died?

No, actually

when he was done torturing
them he would tape

their mouth shut, plug their
noses, puncture their windpipe

with an icepick. They went
into shock from blood loss,

and eventually died from suffocation.

He sent us an audio recording
of one of the murders, too.

Yeah, it's the third one.

Victim number three.

So the police were kind
enough to let us listen to

the murder that Detective
Torvik mentioned.

They got a audio recording

and this one is Sophia Ann Laramie.

And so I'm gonna listen to it
and just see what it's like.

there was nobody there.

So, I thought it was just
some kids playing around.

And I went back to work.

But then I heard
something fall and shatter

on the inside of my office door.

Well, when I opened my
office door I saw that my

abalone shell was thrown on the floor.

And there was a mark on the
door that looked like someone

had thrown it against the
door and then it fell.

And then there was sage
all over the floor.

So, you believe it
wasn't a human presence?

Whatever it was the Creator
had nothing to do with it.

believe it wasn't in fact

Because whatever pushed
me out there that night

had more than four hands.
