Your Royal Highness.

You should come.

Thank you

You lost this, right?

Keep it.

Don't lose it again

You are the head of a department.

You need to set a good example.

Yes

I am worried.

As I know she is the late queen's maid.

The queen used to be very good to her.

What if she wants to save her master ignoring her own life?

She won't.

How do you know?

You should get your prepared.

I need to get changed now.

Thank you for what you did for my capping ceremony.

My honor.

Your Royal Highness

You should take a break.

His Majesty will arrive soon.

Don't be afraid

I am here

Crown Prince is going to be crowned.

All the subjects pay respect.

Bow.

Your majesty.

[Delivering the commencement address.]

The royal son is the same with the civilians.

You need to be a peoper man after the ceremony.

Crown prince, today I give you a style name.

Mincheng

You need to be a good son and emperor after the ceremony.

Yes, father.

Your Majesty.

Chen crowned today

Qi Wang also prepared a gift for the minister.

Please kneel down

And the ministers present at the scene pay attention to

Zhang, you deliberately broke the jade hairpin.

You have something to tell me?

Say it

What is it that you can't utter in front of prince Qi?

Your Royal Highness.

Prince Qi will instigate the maid to defame you

for what happened three years ago

You need to be prepared.

Who is the maid?

I was so distant.

I didn't see her clearly

Crown prince, what do you want to show me?

Your Majesty

Someone fell.

Your Majesty

The falling woman is Zhang of Shangfu department.

Maid Zhang?

You know her?

Yes

Why it's her?

This is your late mom's maid.

What the hell is going on, crown prince?

It reads, the crown prince will throw some rebellious at the capping ceremony.

And he will scapegoat me.

She is in a difficult situation.

So she chooses death.

You dare...

Gu Fengen

Go upstairs there.

Intercept the maid with the scroll.

Yes

So appalling.

Want to frame the brother with the late queen's maid.

If she isn't conscientious, the consequences could be disastrous.

Your Majesty.

Please stop the capping ceremony.

I as the chancellor, doubt the crown prince's virtue.

I am afraid he is not suitable for the throne.

Please.

For the rest, I and the chancellor will handle it.

Prince says, you need to go back and hide it away.

Ok.

Jia Yibo delayed for so long.

Where is the maid?

Your Royal Highness.

Please tell the truth.

Your Majesty.

We should make a thorough investigation of the case.

punish the criminal, and prove someone's innocence.

They won't stop nagging me unless the crown prince says something.

I have nothing to say now.

Stop the ceremony now.

Li Zhongkui.

Bring crown prince back.

Yes

Your Royal Highness

Please

Your Majesty

The falling woman still has a breath.

Your Majesty

I have nothing to say now.

But I plead minister Lu to make a thorough investigation.

Your Majesty

Please make a thorough investigation.

Search according to list.

No one will be missed.

Go, hurry.

Hurry.

Go。

Where is it?

Treasury

Search

Yes

Jia Yibo.

The door is locked from inside.

Break in.

Yes

The same rules apply to everyone, be it the prince or the civilians.

Today, your did something you shouldn't.

This is what the falling woman told you?

Yes, your Majesty.

Prince Qi wrote this?

Yes, your Majesty.

Lady Zhang said one maid would throw the scroll

in front of everyone at the ceremony.

Who is the maid?

I don't know yet.

But Fengen can find it out soon.

Why don't you tell me?

Your Majesty.

I didn't do that.

I am talking to crown prince.

If you are telling the truth, why do you tell me before the ceremony?

Your Majesty.

No matter what, it's all because I didn't go to my fief.

It causes your highness' troubles.

I deserve the capital crime.

I hope your Majesty can allow me to leave the capital.

Brother, don't go.

Stay.

I have a lot of crimes.

My violation of brotherhood and scapegoating my brother

surely not one of them.

You should leave after we find the scroll.

Your Royal Highness.

All I want is to take care of your righteousness with me.

If I really write those, I will be cursed by the god.

We have dad and the ministry of justice.

Why bother the god?

Enough.

Find it, then we will talk about it.

We will punish the criminal accordingly.

Wait.

Do you still remember me?

Lady Jiang.

I take care of all the royal family's affair.

You are an outsider.

You can't cross the line.

I want to see how you will stop me.

It's the royal decree, I will handle this.

Your Majesty

They come back from searching Shangfu department.

Fengen.

Your Majesty.

All eighty-seven people in Shangfu department are arrested.

We have searched Shangfu department.

We found nothing that crown prince mentioned.

Your Majesty, you tell her to...

You know she is...

You don't believe what I said just now right?

If I and all the people believe you with your few words

instead of the testimony and evidence,

Why do we need ministry of justice?

You asked me,

Why I didn't tell you in advance.

That's why.

If Zhang can't wake up, what will you do to me?

If you don't punish me, the court won't let me go easily.

Will you protect me just like the way you protect my brother?

I am not filial to my mom.

I am not loyal as a subject.

If I hadn't informed you of the official denunciation in advance,

and she threw it off, would you still think I am guilty

like other ministers slander?

Dad, three years ago, why didn't you open the gate?

Eunuch Chen.

How's queen doing?

Yes

Chen Weng

They say, my mother is seriously ill.

Where is the emperor?

His Majesty is sleeping.

I can't disturb his Majesty.

His Majesty is in Denghua palace.

I beg your leave.

Chen Weng, eunuch Chen.

Don't go.

Come back, open the gate.

Come back.

Come back, open the gate.

Open...

Let me go.

Let me go.

Your Royal Highness.

Brother, I need to go to the palace.

Probably mom...

Urgent military intelligence from Changzhou.

I need to see the emperor.

Open the gate.

Open the gate.

The queen died.

Mom.

Mom.

I am a sinner.

I should have stayed in the palace that night.

I went to see the queen and she was doing fine at that time.

I.

I am a sinner.

In order to see the queen, I told Jia Yibo to make up the intelligence.

So they could open the gate for me and I put father in danger.

I can't justify myself in front of the world

But why?

In your heart.

I just want to ask in your heart, I...

Tomorrow in the levee,

you should ask for punishment.

Tomorrow in the levee, I won't.

You asked just now,

After my statement at the ceremony,

if the world sees the scroll what would my brother do.

I have considered.

For public, prince Qi is my subject.

I need to give the subjects a lesson whoever make a mistake.

For private,

Xiao Dingtang is my brother.

In front of the world, I need to keep him safe.

After Zhang told me, I wrote another scroll

by imitating brother's handwriting.

I replaced it.

No matter how Lady Jiang deals with the scroll, it's mine.

I don't know where the original one Zhang hides.

Even if she can't wake up, it doesn't matter.

Jia Yibo is looking for it now.

Search.

Brother doesn't believe what I said.

Ridiculous

No matter how smart Jia Yibo is, how can he find the thing I didn't write?

We shall wait and see

Tomorrow we will see if I can show your scroll.

Your Majesty.

Lady Zhang wakes up.

Okay

You are both very firm with your words.

Crown prince, you need to stay.

Jia Yibo, I have searched all.

Nothing

You must find it at all costs.

Otherwise, his highness...

Jia Yibo.

Wake up?

His Majesty will interrogate her in person.

The emperor wants to ask you.

Someone did this to you on purpose?

I jumped off on my own.

What are you talking about?

Zhang, why do you cover her up?

Who is she?

Don't be afraid, I promised you.

I will keep all your department safe.

Shut up.

You need to think it over.

Framing the crown prince is a treason.

Who told you to go to Danfeng gate?

Don't be afraid

I'm here

It's...

I went there myself

Why?

Zhang.

I won't ask you anything else.

But you must tell me where prince Qi's scroll is

Zhang.

Your Royal Highness.

I am sorry for the late queen.

I have nothing to say.

Zhang.

Your Majesty.

She died of biting off her tongue.

Guards.

Crown prince, what are you doing?

Your Majesty

She is not dead.

Save her

So she can tell the world about your scandal?

Help him stand up

Ridiculous.

Dad.

Save her

You are not merely my son.

I am not merely your dad.

Tomorrow, you should plead guilty in the court.

Answer me.

Yes, your majesty.

I want to see prince.

He is with his majesty now.

You can see him after the case is over.

Did you open the scroll and read it before you burn it?

You have worked with your head since childhood.

It's almost twenty years now, right?

No one knows her better than you do, right?

If she wants to hide something, do you know where it will be?

She is prince Qi's complice?

There is no scroll like she said.

Zhang is not like this.

Why didn't she tell us the maid?

Maybe

She has some difficulties I don't know.

Tomorrow, you will...

I am innocent

Fengen.

You trust me right?

And I know where it is.

Let's go.
