they transport our belongings for us.

- Sometimes we use these sleds

to carry our old people and children,

that nature provides to
alleviate your hardship.

We all know that growth and change

can sometimes cause sorrow,
apprehension, and sacrifice,

When a child becomes an adult,

earth are harvested,

we show our gratitude
by making a sacrifice

to the Great Spirit
because we know the ground,

plants, animals, and people
deserve equal respect.

We must protect all the gifts we have been

given to sustain us,
but everything we take

must be replaced in equal abundance

in order to maintain
the balance of nature.

The white men who have invaded our lands

pose a great danger.

They do not respect the laws of nature.

They consider themselves
the lords of the earth.

But instead of revering it,
they take everything they can.

If they continue in their ways,

many of our animals, the eagle, the wolf,

the puma, the buffalo, the
turtle, the bear, and the coyote,

all the sacred animals will
be in danger of extinction.

The Great Spirit has
sent me here to tell you

we must never lose faith.

(dramatic music)

We will undergo great suffering,

changes will sweep across
the land like a hurricane.

Many of our people will die.

Animals, plants, the earth itself,

everything we know will be
almost completely destroyed.

The white man will overrun
every corner of our world.

Those of you who survive must continue

to respect the laws of
nature and our traditions.

We will be driven out of our homes,

humiliated, but we must
find the strength to resist.

Because one day our
people will rise again.

(cheering)

- What a horrible destiny.

- Yes, we must unite our warriors.

- Pocahontas, you must give your message

to all the other nations.

- Hopi-ho and I will
speak with all the tribes,

from those in the far north
to those in the far south,

to those in the mountains
and those in the plains.

(cheering and applauding)

When we have conveyed to them all

the will of the Great Spirit,
I will cross the great water,

and visit the land of the white man.

I will speak with their
chiefs, and their wise queen.

I will tell them our people live in peace

following the principles laid
down by the Great Spirit,

and that they should do the same.

(applauding and cheering)

- We're going to talk to her.

- Pocahontas, we want to
ask you some questions.

- Good, anything you want to know.

- When you say our people will rise again,

will they become as
strong as they once were

many years ago when they first
crossed the great glacier?

- And they hunted the

prophecy of my people

says that the world in which
we live will be destroyed.

In the meantime, we
must make the pale faces

marvel at the dignity of
our people and our purity.

We stand open handed, waiting,
ready to give heart and soul.

And so therefore I ask you
all to form a ring of positive

energy that will protect our
people in the course of time.

You know my tribe has often been chosen

by the Great Spirit to
communicate his will to you.

Now he wants us all to save
the world with our energy.

(cheering)

- Hopi asked us to form a ring of energy,

a circle, the symbol of the path of life.

fish and the wild animals,

but you will survive because
you know how to grow grain.

- For many of you, I am the symbol of

the construction of the world,

legend has it that the great creator

ordered me to carry on my shell

mud from the depths of the
ocean to create the continents.

I have come here today
to confirm everything

that's been said will come true.

test again and again,

you will triumph thanks to your respect

for the laws of the earth.

But people and animals will have to learn

how to survive while
waiting for better days.

- Terrible things await us,

of all the Indian peoples.

honor you as their princess.
