- Week five, and we are
officially at the halfway mark

of finding our
brief-baring bro

to crown the winner of
a spokesmodel contract

with Dirt Squirrel
underwear, and $5,000 cash.

Last week our nine barely
clad contenders made us flip,

with their fancy fan work,

as they posed in
front of art work

from the Vancouver
mural festival.

(group shouting)
- Oh wow.

- Then we shook up
the teams with all new

school yard pick, sending
our beloved Wayne home.

(clapping and consoling)

Today we're at Vancouver
Film School's make up studio

to see how these
guys do, done up.

[♪ ♪ ♪]

Welcome to the Whole Package.

(upbeat music)

♪ They say we are day dreamers

[♪ ♪ ♪]

(electronic music)

- Today we are at
Vancouver Film School.

- Right in the heart
of downtown Vancouver.

- We only have eight guys left,

things are getting
even more competitive,

you can see the guys just
wanting it more and more

as the days go by.

- I'm going in today
feeling pretty confident.

- Eight guys left,
soon to be seven.

[♪ ♪ ♪ ]

- Came upstairs to
our make up room,

with a bunch of mirrors
and tables set up.

- I knew this was
like the film school.

So I figured like
something in studio.

- Are we gonna have to
do some kind of acting?

- What if it's
drag queen make up?

(chattering)

- I hope not.

- Yeah, I hope not.

- Hello boys, how are you guys?

Welcome to Vancouver Film
School's make up studio.

You are our top eight,
congratulations.

(cheering and applauding)

Now judging by maybe a
couple of your faces,

you probably have an idea of
what we're doing here today,

but let's say hello
to your judges

Dan Lypchuk and Wade Hopwo.

[♪ ♪ ♪]

(cheering and applauding)

- Hi guys.

- Hi boys.

Today you will be
posing in a pair

of Dirt Squirrel
underwear of course.

All done up in drag makeup.

(gasping)

- I knew it.

Oh my god I knew it.

- Now, I should maybe
clarify a little bit for you,

you will be modeling
in drag makeup,

that you learn to do yourself.

- Oh my god.

(ominous music)

- Oh man.

[quirky music]

- Oh my god. (chuckles)

- With the help of
our guest judges,

Jaylene Tyme, and Raye Sunshine.

Come in ladies.

(cheering and applauding)

- [Raye] Yo thugs
what the (beep) up.

- And then in walk
two drag queens.

[applause]

- How you doin'?

- I'm like, yes, no,
yes, I don't even know

how I feel about this.

- You could definitely
see on their faces who is

super nervous, and
shaking in their boots.

- There was a while when
I had a feeling something

like this might happen.

I was still not totally
ready for it to be honest.

- I knew drag was gonna be
one of the competitions.

Like I just knew it
was gonna happen.

- So each team will
have their own mentor,

and a 20 minute
tutorial before you have

to apply your own makeup.

And then, you're going
to go head to head,

in a photo shoot against
somebody from the other team.

(dramatic music)

(chattering)

[Lachlan:] Challenge accepted.

It's gonna get crazy.

- They're gonna go head to head
in a photo shoot challenge.

Someones gonna reign
and someones gonna fall.

- Now do you have any quick
tips or real like key things

that we have to know
about drag makeup

to teach the boys quickly?

- Beat it up, smash it in,
and hide it with glitter.

(chattering)

I mean you only have 20 minutes,

- Glitter.
- So pack it on pack it on.

- Jaylene?

- Oh I think it's really
important to remember not to

be afraid of color.

'Cause drag is an expression
of fabulous and artistry.

So you need to go in there
and have some fun, okay?

- Dirt Squirrels been
very heavily involved

in the community
since our inception.

Our two makeup artists
today were actually featured

on pair of Dirt
Squirrel underwear,

when we did renditions of all of

the Vancouver queens
as superheros.

- Jaylene and Raye, can't
like really demonstrate

on themselves, but I feel
like we have two perfectly

good guinea pigs right here
so even your team leaders

are gonna be all dolled up.

Now Owen, where's
sweet, sweet Owen?

Now because you won
last weeks challenge,

you are going to pick the pairs

and the order that they go it.

Does that sound good?
- Yes.

- Are you nervous?
- Yes.

- Are you excited?
- Yes.

- [Robyn] You guys
ready to get started?

Can't wait.

(cheering and applauding)

- So you won the last challenge,

and now you get to choose teams.

Do you have an idea of
who you're gonna pick

potentially as your partner?

- Owen gets to pit
people against each other

from the opposite team,
on like a one on one

photo shoot challenge.

So one my team we have Tristan,
Austin, Chad, and Shawn.

- I'm excited but
I'm so nervous.

- As your coach I
would suggest Chad,

but obviously
completely up to you.

- I'm very concerned about
who I'm gonna be matched with.

- Cause I know
Chads gonna kill it.

If he kills it,
like he'll kill me.

I'm so bad at making
decisions, you guys,

like you have no idea.

- Welcome to team indecisive.

(laughing)

There's also
another option here.

You get to pick who goes first.

- I don't think
that he's gonna like

pay me back or anything.

First we got Owen.

I gave Owen the gold one
we were kinda tryin' to

mess with him a bit.

- Since Austin picked me
to go first, last time,

he should know what it's like.

Pay backs a bitch.

[laughing]

- I think you've
made a good decision.

- Okay.
- For sure.

- We're gonna have some
people that are really

gonna go well together
and some people that are

gonna be such a juxtaposition.

Love a big word and I
love a big competition.

- Wade, are you ready?

- I'm so ready.

- Jaylene and you ready
to make this fella pretty?

- Well yes I am of course.

(laughing)

- Alright let's get
started, good luck.

- Dan and I have both
done drag before,

whether it turned out as
well as we wanted it to, um.

- For myself as a drag artist,

it really celebrates the
diversity of the art form.

With makeup, color and costume,

and really allowing people
to explore different

extensions of themselves.

- It's stinging, is
it supposed to sting?

- You know what sometimes
you gotta get it on there.

- Alright.

Patrick you can see some stuff?

- Some. (chuckles)
- Yeah?

- Patrick is a little
bit nervous about it,

just because he has this beard

and he's never
worn makeup really.

- Well you can actually make
sure that you're just not

doing makeup around the beard.

Make the beard
part of the makeup.

So we're gonna do some brows.

(upbeat music)

- Oh god, what I
get myself into?

- Are you guys ready
to pay attention

and learn some stuff?

- I am going to be
wearing drag makeup today.

Show 'em how it done.

- Dude I got you.

I like to hide all the brows,

'cause I feel like it
gives you a bit more

of a transformation.

- Never in a million years

did I think I was gonna
be putting on drag makeup.

So me doing that myself I'm a
little bit nervous about that.

This is definitely
outside my comfort zone.

I'm curious if they'll
be able to do it

in 20 minutes though like us.

Because if they can't,

then how are we gonna
be able to do it?

- The biggest key is
actually smashing it in.

Powder baby.

- I feel pretty
confident though,

I mean I've done my own makeup.

Not in a time constraint.

- I like to do this because
then you only have 20 minutes.

I tried to keep the lesson as,

how do I want to word this?

As cave painting as possible.

Simplistic to the point
that a toddler could do it.

Just like eye coloring 101.

Teaching the boys, it's
easy to just do this that,

'cause you only have 20 minutes.

This is another PSA, do not put
superglue on your eyelashes.

- There's a couple boys, that
have never touched makeup.

Probably never even seen
a drag queen in real life.

- See this boys?
- Yes.

- Line in, press in, like so.

- There is definitely a gay,
straight advantage today.

- Oh my god, this is like drag.

I'm at least gonna
do better than all

the straight people here.

- Some of them were
scared (beep) less.

- This is a very new
experience for me,

I'm actually pretty excited.

It's gonna be a long process,

I don't know how I'm
gonna do it in 20 minutes.

'Cause she's spent like
probably 15 minutes

just doing his eyebrows,
five different layers.

Or whatever they're called,

mad gum and this and
that and weird names.

- There's no limit to drag.

(upbeat music)

- I feel fabulous.

[♪ ♪ ♪]

- You and Dan are
loving this challenge.

I can't wait til you
guys see each other.

- I just wanna make sure
they have the right colors,

for my eyebrows
and my skin tone.

It was catering to more
of the whiter skin tones,

and you know I'm a
chocolate brother.

So I feel like I'm gonna
need to just wing it,

and kinda go with my own
type of vibe with it.

Because I really
don't know how to work

drag makeup on dark skin.

We were getting a
little bit of tips,

but it wasn't a whole lot.

So I'm still kinda feeling like
a fish out of water with it.

And I looked over at Dan,
and his was like popping.

And that's was
literally 20 minutes.

(exhales loudly)

[♪ ♪ ♪]

What I learned in
the tutorial was,

I need another tutorial.

(pulsing techno music)

- They're gonna go head to head
in a photo shoot challenge,

someones gonna reign
and someones gonna fall.

[♪ ♪ ♪]

(chattering)

- I want you to know, that
I'm really not an expert.

I'm just faming the confidence.

You've got Austin
in there right now,

and he is stressing out.

Following me is a gamble.

- It's a gamble I'm
gonna have to take.

- You can tell
he's just fretting.

- Austin, how are you?

Are you nervous?

- Yeah, I'm just not
knowing what I'm doin',

but going for it, it's all good.

- We got your back.

- [Robyn] Hi guys.

- [Man] Hey Robyn.

- Hi, look at you
all in your stations.

(chattering)

- Beardney Spears.

She's fierce, she's
fit, she's fab,

and know you want
a piece of her.

- TBA is inspired
by Wednesday Adams,

but her secret obsession is
Kim Kardashian's Instagram.

But she'll kill any
bitch, that ever finds out

that she's obsessed with her.

- How are you guys feeling?

You ready to get this started?

Yes?
Good.

So you have 20 minutes to
make yourselves beautiful.

And that 20 minutes
starts, right now.

(upbeat music)

- Shirtless men, shirtless men.

Drag opens up an army
of things for you

to explore and experience.

And also kinda give a middle
finger to gender norms.

(mumbles)

(chattering)

- You're doing really well.

- We're on a time limit.

- I'm an artist so I'm gonna
see what I can create today.

(sneezing)

Might not be more drag, it might
be more of like an abstract

looking kind of canvas, but
we'll see what turns out.

(shouting)

- Oh that's good.

[♪ ♪ ♪]

- Are you sure
that's for your lip.

- I'm putting anything wherever.

- Okay. (chuckles)

- How do you close
your eye when?

- 'Member you tilt
your head back, there.

- I think they're all
doing quite well actually.

Funny enough but I
think Austins probably

the calmest out of everybody.

- We were helping him along.

- I love it.

- He's got his eyes blocked.

He's gonna start some color.

While Lachlans getting
headstart on the blue.

- Who's like drowning
in their own makeup?

- I don't think anyone's
floundering honestly.

- No?
- I think well know about that

in five minutes.
- Go team.

We're very supportive.

(upbeat music)

- [Jaylene] It's just drag.

- And sky's the limit, baby.

- Well I love the
fact that they're just

they're giving it their all.

- They're giving it everything.

- They're going in there and
working with what they have.

You know and I think that
after they done this,

that they're maybe gonna
appreciate what we do.

- I think so.

There's a larger appreciation.

(chattering)

- The top and make it
come in, into the close.

(yells)

- Look at these things.

- Black eyeliner.

[chattering]

- Taco, we're comin' in thick.

- I just started
painting shapes.

- Progress, oh wow okay.

- Put on some lipstick,
grab some glitter

and I was just like.

(upbeat music)

- Like somehow, by some
sick twisted turn of events,

I was literally the
ugliest one there.

Like what?
It's unacceptable.

- [Man] Be really firm.

- That's what I'm doin'.

- [Robyn] 30 seconds guys.

- That is so fast.

(upbeat music)

- [Man] Get your hair wet.

- [Robyn] Alright
guys, times up.

- Yes!
- Makeup down, hands up.

(chattering)

- Ladies, what do you think?

- Oh I love the little
head bow, look at you.

- A couple of little
characters that I like.

Are we ready to
do a photo shoot.

(clamoring in agreement)

- Yeah?

- So Owen gets to pick
who's paired up together.

- Shall we have
Owen let us know,

who's with whom, and what order

we'll be taking the photos in?

- Alrighty, well these two.

- [Robyn] Oh, Lachlan
and Austin are together.

[tongue click]

And they're first?

- That excites me.

- You and Patrick.

- [Robyn] So Shawn and
Patrick are together.

- Visually we look
very different,

but a lot of our
concepts and ideas

we meet right in the middle.

- And then Chet and Tristan
that leaves you to do third.

- Chad and I are together.

- And you guys will
round it out at the end,

does that sound great?

- Get it you guys.

(cheering and applauding)

- Hello Caroline.
- Hey Robyn.

- [Robyn] How are you?

- Good how are you?

- You guys you
remember Caroline,

from Carline Ross Photography.

She's with us again.

Thank you for being here.

Now you guys have three minutes.

Alright are you (chuckles) I
feel like you're ready Lachlan.

- Straight guys like me
because I have long hair,

smooth face and some big lips.

And it's like put a
little makeup on that,

and I think we're good.

- That's right,
take your pants off.

(laughing)

Watch please.

- Oh yeah we gotta take a seat.

- Don't block my lights.

- Okay what do you got for me.

- I'm so excited to get
up there with another guy,

and just work it on the camera
and see who comes out on top.

Or on bottom, depending
on which guy it is.

- [Robyn] I wish he has a wand.

- [Man] Right?

- I feel like he might
try and do something

to through me off.

- [Robyn] What is
even happening?

- But I'm just gonna
take it and role with it.

- A couple of fellas in their
drag makeup, hanging out.

- Do that again. (laughing)

Um pull them down, kinda
peak out over them.

- 30 seconds.

- [Man] Oh yeah take it.

- [Robyn] Alright that's
time, good job you guys.

(chattering)

- Okay I'm a girl, don't go
so hard next time, golly.

- I told my dad about
some of this stuff,

he's like, you did what?

- Oh hello.

(gasping)

- I'm paired up with Shawn
and I'm super happy about it.

- So I think we're
gonna have a lot of fun.

- [Robyn] Good luck guys,
three minutes starts now.

- We have really good
chemistry off camera.

(chattering)

- One it's super fun being sexy.

People want to be a super
hero on Halloween, they do it.

You wanna be a queen
then you do it.

- Look at each other.

- [Robyn] Oh.

Underwear model. (laughing)

somethings ahead of time.

And I got sucked into those
props and that's not me.

super creative, it's fun,

it's costume, it's acting,
it's modeling at the same time.

- Honestly I though Chad

- Which soft spot?

(laughing)

- [Man] Play with
the jockstrap more.

- [Robyn] Wow.

- Yeah, so we're just
gonna like win this time.

- [Robyn] 10 seconds.

- [Man] Raise that eyebrow.

How's everybody feeling?

- I feel better now.

- You enjoyed that
one a little better?

- I still need five minutes
before I get up so yeah.

So we have Lachlan and Austin.

I love this right
out of the gate.

- It's cute.

You just wanna like post
a little wand in his hand

and be like, boop.
- I know.

- Bless his heart he
tried really hard,

but Austin his makeups just.

(groans)

- And once you're out
of your comfort zone

and forced in front of a camera,

it's really hard to
get your game face on.

- [Robyn] So you're
a little unsure.

- This was awkward.

- They were disconnected.

So then these are okay.

Let's move on to the next two.

- So lets caption this one.

- [Robyn] Tristan and Chet.

- Tristan he didn't start
out with a lot of makeup

on his face.
- No.

- When I turned the
corner it was like bam.

- [Robyn] Raye you did
not like this photo shoot.

- [Raye] I wasn't loving it.

- The queens weren't overly
thrilled with Tristan

in that shoot because
I think they wanted

more than one note.

And he gave a lot of choking.

It's actually one of my
favorites out of all of them.

- [Robyn] Oh really?

- [Dan] Surprisingly enough.

- Like who would we say
is standing out a little

bit more in this?

- Probably Tristan.

- Tristan for sure.

- But that's really because
the way he did his face to me.

- Okay.
- Oh I love these.

- [Robyn] Shawn and Patrick.

They obviously planned this out,

before they walked
into the room.

And loved that they did,
'cause they take it seriously.

- There is a lot of
conflicting colors for me.

Like there's the rainbow,
you got the pink.

- It's a lot.

- [Caroline] Lets talk
about his props though,

cause last we we
didn't love them right?

- I'm not personally a huge
fan, of all that, branding wise.

- Neither am I.
- Of course.

It's very distracting.

- My concern is that he's
hiding behind accessories.

- [Dan] So you
just wanna see him.

- [Robyn] Well, yeah.

- Suspenders are not our brand.

- That's fair.

- Neither are lots of rainbows.

- So last but not least,
we have Chad and Owen.

Raye you quite enjoyed
this photo shoot,

if I remember correctly.

- I don't know what
you're talking about, woo.

- They might have
fallen in love,

and I'm okay with that.

- Are we matchmakers?

- Yeah, it's a whole new show.

- Wouldn't be the
first time this show.

- I think Chad for
sure, in my opinion,

did the best with the makeup
portion of the challenge.

- [Raye] And he executed it
to the best of his abilities.

- [Robyn] They both
seemed a little unsure.

- They were unsure
until the second pair

of panties came off.

Since Owen had the advantage

I was rather concerned
about his makeup.

It didn't work.

(chattering)

- So I think we've seen
most of the photos now.

You have a top choice?

- I think it will
take me a hot minute,

but I'll get there.

- I think everyone really
did try their best,

but you can clearly
tell that a lot of them

were out of their comfort zone.

- Makeup doesn't
have to be perfect.

We talked about that.

But it's about
emoting what you have.

- So why don't we maybe
give you a little extra

time on your own, and then
we're gonna tell the boys.

And we're gonna
send a couple home.

- Heartbreak.

- I know, it's hard.

You can be here to
console them though.

- Of course.
- Yes.

And the second top
today is Tristan.

- Tristan great work.

[applause]

Wade, who are your top two.

- Well it wasn't an easy
decision for me this week guys.

But the two that I'm
going with on the top are,

Chet and Owen.

(cheering and applauding)

- Alright, so that means on
Wade's team the bottom two

today are Lachlan and Patrick.

And for Dan it is
Shawn and Austin.

Now what I need you guys to do

is pick one person that is safe.

Whoever isn't chosen
will be going home.

(dramatic music)

- It's getting spicy in here.

So out of the two power
bottoms on my team.

(suspenseful music)

I will be keeping Patrick.

- [Robyn]
Congratulations Patrick.

(suspenseful music)

- Out of the two
bottoms on my team,

Austin you're gonna
be staying with us.

- Congratulations Austin.

I am sad to say then,
that Lachlan and.

- Hold on Robyn,

I don't think we're totally
ready to get rid of two people.

- That's not what
they want to do.

(chattering)

- Not shady but, we
haven't said it yet,

we want to see if that works.

- So after further deliberation,
unfortunately Lachlan,

around and put up with us

(clamoring)

- Shawn, that means the
journey ends for you today.

You really were, we've loved
you from the beginning.

- It sucks, I thought
the longer that I stayed,

the better chance I had.

'Cause I could prove
that I can be a model.

That I can be the whole

Is because I feel
that way about myself.

I'm proud of what I
represented every time.

A little bit angry, a
little bit pissed off,

but mostly just sad,

that I'm not gonna see
everybody tomorrow.

supported each other

there's a bunch that don't,

but there's a lot that
supported each other,

and that was pretty
amazing to be part of.

Clearly Lachlan
shouldn't, in my opinion.

To me that's not
the whole package.

judging but I mean

to me that's not what I would
want representing my company.

You don't have to be
a little diva bitch

to succeed in this industry.

It's not about being fair.

I'm just proud that I can be me.

I just wanted it to
happen that's all.
