Are you blind?

Look

What?

Look, two heads.

Ooh, scary!

The Second and Third Masters of Leng Family.

Many members of Leng Family were killed lately.

I think they're cursed.

The Long Family bought 29 coffins

from my shop.

we had to work overtime for the order.

It's karma.

Right.

Better not talk about this, let's go.

Who's that...

What's this?

No one's here, let's carry this inside.

"To: The Cold-blooded Five"

Ruyun?

An eye for an eye. Thirty dead bodies in Long Family.

From Bai Yipeng, Swift Sword.

Bai Yipeng did it.

We must get even.

Right here.

Here

Look, someone in the water.

Chase.

There's no grudge between us,

why did you abduct me?

There's great enmity between me and your family.

I have to kill your whole family

Why don't you kill me then?

If I kill a powerless woman

woman without resistance

it doesn't seem righteous.

It's strange for a killer like you to have conscience!

You think I'm blood thirsty?

Then why did you

kill thirty people in my family?

What did my family do?

Even if I do 10 times worse than what your family did,

I still wouldn't be able to forgive.

I would never forget about that day.

Scorching sun, high temperature.

I sent my sister home

I'll be busy in town, will be back tomorrow night

Come home soon.

Long Ruyun raped and killed my younger sister.

and he murdered my whole family

It will be their death anniversary tomorrow.

I must kill one of your family member

to pay respects to my late family members.

Cheers.

Heroes

Bai Yipeng is a cruel, cold-blooded murderer.

He's been going against us many times for no reason.

Today we've solicited the help from you five heroes,

Surely Bai Yipeng won't dare to do anything hereafter.

Don't worry.

With us 5 Huashan Monsters here at the Leng household,

if Bai Yipeng dares to disturb

he'll be torn into pieces.

Magistrate, this is just a small gift.

Bai Yipeng is ruthless, has no regard for the law.

I'm determined to arrest him

"Wanted"

Bai Yipeng, where can you hide now?

Father.

Qiuxia my child, don't worry, I'll save you.

Go!

Spare my father's life.

Go

You're hurt real bad and were in coma for 2 days

I thought you wouldn't make it.

Why are you crying?

You let my father go.

but he attacked you from behind.

I feel I've wronged you.

Why didn't you escape when I was in a coma?

I couldn't just leave you on your own.

Don't you hate me for killing thirty of your relatives?

Now that I understand why.

my family is responsible for what happened, we owe you.

That's why I waited for you to wake up.

I'm ready to die even if you have to kill me.

I planned to kill ten more people in your family.

but since you cry for me.

I'll stop here

Reprisal breeds reprisal.

After I've healed, I'll send you home.

Go home.

Where are you off to?

Nanjing

Nanjing?

Treasure map. When the former Yan Emperor usurped,

Emperor Jianwen hid a box of treasure

somewhere in Nanjing.

I must find them

What are you going to do with them?

I'll hand them to the troops fighting the invaders

My Flying Dragon Dart, a souvenir.

See you.

What are you doing here so soon?

I don't want to leave you.

You said you'll return after you've found the treasure.

Why...

I couldn't leave you here on your own,

for the fear that the Cold-blooded Five would harm you,

that's why I'm here to pick you up.

Pack up.

we'll leave before dawn.

I'll follow you no matter where you go.

So...going out? Where to?

Father, I'm a terrible daughter. Please let us be.

Get up..

Master Bai, you spared my life last time,

I've been really uneasy since.

I always thought that I owe you a favor.

Now that you two are together.

I'll give you my blessing.

Let bygones be bygones, what do you say?

I've promised Qiuxia to end my revenge.

Great, we're an honorable family.

we take marriages seriously,

you must have a proper wedding ceremony.

I understand.

Qiuxia, get ready to be a bride

I'll make arrangements for your wedding.

Yes

Today is the groom's birthday

our master has ordered the special dishes for you.

Please start.

Eat it.

Take it away.

Yes

I made this, a lotus seed dessert for you.

You can try some.

Why don't you have some?

I don't have the appetite.

Come, sit down. Eat some

Feeling unwell?

Caught a cold?

You're pregnant?

My dear wife, sit down don't tire yourself.

I'm fine, the dessert is getting cold, eat it.

What did you put in it?

Are you alright?

Why did you do it?

I didn't, I didn't.

You poisoned him, father.

A decent man won't poison others.

He's only had a little bit of "Drunken Fairy" drug.

he'll lose his strength.

Bai Yipeng, I know that

you have a treasure map.

hand it over and I'll let you live

I don't have it with me,

follow me to collect it if you dare

Fine, get him.

Yes

Go.

Out of the way.

Plum blossom formation.

Life-Claiming Formation.

Why waste time? Just kill me.

Hand over the treasure map and we'll set you free.

or we'll cut up your heart,

and send you to hell.

I don't have the map with me

but I could show you where it is

Where?

In the Southern Mountain Range.

Loosen him

Wait

Cut up his ankle ligaments so that

he won't be able to practise martial arts ever.

Do it

Drag him.

Go

You mentioned it's in the Southern Mountain Range.

We've been here for a few days

there's no sign of it.

We've been duped, brother

There's no treasure here,

let's head back.

Right, he's handicapped now.

we can leave him here.

he will be coyote's dinner.

Great, let's push him down the cliff.

Do it

Yes.

He must be dead from the fall.

Let's go

The Qing Army invaded during the end of Ming Dynasty.

Emperor Chongzhen's subordinates

slander General Xiahou Chengwu at the border

for betrayal of the country.

His whole family was to be executed. the court has lost

a loyal general, people were very angry and in grief.

General's son, Xiaotong. had help of loyal subjects

He was hiding in Madam Guan's home in Southern Range.

He's been practising martial arts

with Madam Guan's daughter. Xiaomei for revenge.

Xiaomei, it's been almost two years since I came here.

I didn't expect that you've improved so quickly.

You are a good teacher.

Let's wrap up for today.

take a break first

Brother Xiaotong. I've cooked Green Bean soup.

I'll get it for you.

Sure

Young master...

There's a team of soldiers heading this way

Hide inside, I'll deal with them

Alright.

Open up.

Who're you looking for?

We're here to arrest a criminal called Xiahou Xiaotong.

I guess he is inside, we will search the place.

Search.

Yes

Don't miss a spot, quick.

Nothing!

No one's here.

You live here on your own, young girl?

You're quite pretty.

Don't go.

That's him. go.

Let's go.

Go

Forget it.

I'm sure they will be back

How about this?

Master Xiahou, leave right away.

go find Master Mu Renqing. he will help you.

Madam Guan, what about you and Xiaomel..

There's a major drought in the central plains right now

and I've got something to do.

So Xiaomei is handling transportation of the aid money

she has to leave tonight the latest.

See you, Xiaomei.

Take care, Brother Xiaotong.

At front, go!

Young master.

Come on.

Take them away

Over there.

Xiaoan, run.

Xiaoan.

It's fate that you're here.

have no regrets once you enter.

This is the dart which belongs

to the famous Swift Sword. Master Bai Yipeng.

I heard he's been dead over ten years.

Could this be the place?

Hey

Who would have thought Bai Yipeng died here

Life is like a dream.

Swift Sword.

Master Bai has placed this so deep into the wall.

I'm very impressed with his skills.

I'm student Xiahou Xiaotong. I'll bury you properly.

you can rest in peace.

Finally a kind person who's willing to bury the body.

I have some thing in return.

I'm doing this out of respect

not for money.

Since you want to be buried.

I'll do it for you.

Poisonous darts will shoot out from the case

in order to punish the greedy.

I'm pleased that you didn't open the case,

you're a kind man. Bai Yipeng.

The key to practise martial arts is the diaphragm.

practise according to this chart and you'll learn.

Let's go inside.

For over a year now we're looking for the treasure.

Shut up, there's someone.

You..

Don't open it.

No? You want me to leave it for you?

Don't open it.

Nice Sword! I'm glad I've learnt Qigong

Finally I've found you.

What a bright, young man!

Who are you...

Swift Sword, Bai Yipeng

Swift Sword. Bai Yipeng?

I thought he's died ten years ago.

I buried the skeleton myself.

Bai Yipeng isn't dead,

but he's a living dead

An enemy cut up my ankle ligaments over a decade ago,

I couldn't practise martial arts. I live aimlessly

Whose skeleton was that then?

Of my enemy

We both fell off the cliff. I was

lucky that I fell onto a big tree,

that's why I survived.

and he didn't make it.

I've been waiting for over a decade here,

hoping to see a young man who's sincere & perseverant

to succeed me.

And how do you determine that in a person?

That's why I used the skeleton

for the test.

The test?

To test his sincerity and perseverance.

That's how I did it.

I got it.

Burying the skeleton voluntarily is sincerity.

practising Qigong & breaking the wall is perseverance.

True, the two important qualities in martial arts.

Complete sincerity can conquer anything.

Now that you're here,

it proves that "where there's a will. there's a way".

Thanks for your guidance.

It's your hard work

Now that you've mastered Qigong.

you can use the falling leaves as weapon.

Come here and try

Impressive...

This is my Swift Sword.

It's rusty

Polish the rusty blade again.

A withered person must gather his strength again.

I'll pass on my Swift Sword skills to you.

Thank you, Master.

Let's take a break,

and then we must walk all through the night,

we must send the gold to the Central Plains by dawn.

The drought is very serious.

millions of affected are waiting for the relief.

let's hurry.

Leave the gold behind, and you'll live.

This is for relief purposes.

I don't care! Attack!

Tan Bao, protect the gold.

Yes.

Let's chase after him.

Go!

Tan Bao...

Go!

What do you think of my swordplay, master?

Not bad, you've learnt

all the 49 strokes of the Swift Sword Style,

you're a quick learner.

I'll pass this sword to you.

Thank you, Master.

I have a treasure map.

You mentioned about a drought in the central plains?

The treasure is hidden in Hulu Mountain.

Go and find the treasures,

and take it to the central plains for relief purposes.

Yes, I'll go right away.

I have a question

which I've wanted to ask you. Master.

Go ahead.

You're handicapped and depressed.

You must have a huge grudge with your enemy, I guess

who's your enemy?

I swear I'll get revenge for you, Master.

Shut up.

I was tortured enough by what happened,

don't bring it up again, leave.

Guest, please come inside...

Boss.

Guest, I'll take care of your horse...

Please wait.

Sin

Boss, I need a good room.

A room? We're full.

Today is a festival,

all our rooms are occupied.

You're a bit late, sir.

This guest has the last room.

What? I've walked three blocks

and not even one vacant room.

Boss, I'll double the price.

help me out.

Sorry, I can't do anything.

Mister, we're both travelers.

if you don't mind,

you're welcome

to share the room with me.

No way! I'm not used to sharing a room.

why don't you give up your room?

I'll give you triple the rate, so?

You must be joking, it's a festival.

no room is available

If I give up the room.

I'll have to sleep on the streets then.

Sorry, I can't help.

Please...

Wait.

Alright, I'll share the room with you.

Please, come in

Let's report to big brother.

My name is Xiahou Xiaotong, and you're...

Leng Ningzhi.

Brother Leng, you're passing by here?

Yes, I live in Shunping's Wanliang town.

I'll go home tomorrow.

Brother Xiahou, are you heading to Shunping?

No, I'm heading to Nanjing.

Too bad.

or we could travel together.

How could you be so rude?

Peeing in front of me?

We're men, what's the problem?

Brother Xiahou, please excuse me.

Why?

I want to…

You need to pee? We're guys

there's nothing to be embarrassed.

No, go out first. Out

You…

Damn it!

Let's go over there.

Brother Xiahou...

Brother Xiahou...

Brother Xiahou...

Brother Xiahou...

Just a kid girl.

Return the gold and you'll live.

Don't even think about leaving here.

The gold is here, but I won't give it to you.

What are you going to do?

Attack!

Spare my life...

He begged for his life, why did you kill him?

My grandfather taught me that

I must drive away and exterminate all my enemies.

No sight of any animals or birds,

phoenix is the only creature in the mountain.

Brother Leng, I'll see you later.

Brother Xiahou, when will we see each other again?

Maybe I'll pass by Wanliang next autumn.

I could visit you.

Really? You must keep your word.

I will

You helped me out yesterday.

I don't know how to repay you.

this is just a small token of appreciation, take it.

Thanks

Bye

What is it?

Mother, I've met a boy this time

He's young, strong and has good martial arts skills.

Where's he from? What's his name?

He's called Xiahou Xiaotong.

He doesn't know that I'm a girl.

You don't act like one.

Mother, I found a map on him.

A map? What's so special about that?

There are four verses on it, it sounds coded.

Could you guess it?

Recite it.

A thousand years old pine on Hulu Mountain,

the old trees has strong green roots.

No sight of any animals or birds,

phoenix is the only creature in the mountain.

What do you think it means?

I have no idea.

I do

It's coded, recite it again.

Go on

A thousand years old pine on Hulu Mountain,

the old trees have strong green roots.

No sight of any animals or birds,

phoenix is the only creature in the mountain.

Right, on top of Nanjing's Hulu Mountain, there's a

deserted Taoist temple called "Temple of 1000 Pines"

The first verse refers to this temple.

Phoenix the only creature in this mountain, the last

You've heard that the phoenix is where the treasure is

Isn't that clear enough?

The treasure is hidden in Hulu Mountain.

Right, we've been searching

everywhere for the treasure in the last ten years.

Who'd expect that the treasure is in Hulu Mountain?

Let's hurry there overnight.

locate the treasure first

I want to go too, grandfather.

A girl should stay at home.

Go

Temple of Thousand Pines.

A thousand years old pine on Hulu Mountain,

the old trees with strong green roots.

No sight of any animals or birds.

phoenix is the only creature...

in the mountain.

Brother...

Are you alright, brother?

What's wrong?

We were robbed, they took our money

and beat up my brother.

Please help us to carry him down the hill.

find him a doctor.

He's badly injured.

I've got some medicine for cuts,

Thank you, Master.

"Leng"

Cold-blooded Five

"Leng Residence"

Brother Xiahou, I didn't expect you'd be here so soon.

You left me a packet of gold,

I guess it's a mistake. I'm here to return it.

You've helped me, that's the least I could do.

We had just met & I didn't do anything to deserve that.

I couldn't accept this.

If you refuse, you're looking down on me.

Alright, let's drop this topic,

I want to ask you about a few people.

Who?

The Cold-Blooded Five roaming about in Wanliang.

how are they related to you?

They are my grandfathers.

I see. Your grandfathers.

I'd like to meet them.

They're out on business,

they will be back within two days.

Well, that’s unfortunate.

I saw that Wanliang is a vibrant town on my way here

I'd like to stay here for a few days.

Certainly

There are plenty of guest rooms here.

glad for few days of Brother Xiahou's company.

I'd be bored on my own.

Come, let me show you around.

Sure

You?

You didn't know that I'm a girl.

My grandfather prefers a grandson.

that's why I'm dressed up like a boy,

he taught me all the martial arts.

I was so foolish, I shouldn’t have… at the inn

I hope you don’t mind

I didn't act like a girl myself

so you don't have to treat me like one.

Brother Xiahou, you're quite skilled,

could I be your student?

Why are you sighing?

To be honest, my master told me to find some treasures

in Hulu Mountain for aid of drought victims in plains

but evil people have stolen it.

It's my fault. I trusted people.

I got it, that's why you couldn't face your master.

that's why you're worried.

No, I'm actually concerned about the drought victims,

they're facing calamity.

The gold could help them.

now that evil people have taken it,

the victims could only die

Have you seen this piece of jade?

I haven't.

Your five grandfathers have the surname "Leng"

but why are you too?

Lost my dad as a baby so I took on grandfather's name.

So that's not your surname.

My mother said that my real surname is "Bai",

my father's called Bai Yipeng, he's dead.

Bai Yipeng?

Swift Sword Bai Yipeng?

That's what my mother told me.

He died a terrible death in the south.

He's still alive, he's my master

But he couldn't practise martial arts anymore,

he's handicapped now.

Could he be my father?

My master has never talked about his background.

and he refused to tell me about his enemies.

I guess he has his reasons.

I'm going to tell my mother.

Let's take a look

Because of this,

we've traveled everywhere.

I can't believe it's so easy this time.

Well done, you two.

Who's that?

You're the ones! Cold-blooded Five.

Go!

Run! Find an inn to stay

meet me at the dead end in town tomorrow.

Alright.

Do you want some, miss?

Who're you? I don't know you.

You must be kidding me.

No, you stole my gold.

I could recognize you anywhere.

Are you kidding? Do you have proof?

You accused me of stealing your gold? It's ridiculous.

Ridiculous?

Give the gold back or you're not walking out alive.

You're here

Brother Xiaotong, it's you.

Xiaomel, I didn't expect to see you here.

You two know each other?

She's Xiaomel, this is Ningzhi.

We're friends, why are you fighting?

Security of the gold for the aid was my responsibility

and she stole it

Your gold's stolen?

Don't use the "steal" word. it sounds terrible.

I was just keeping the gold temporarily If not for me.

the gold would be stolen by the one-eyed man.

The gold is for the drought victims.

Relief again?

Ningzhi, the gold is to help others,

give her back the gold.

I didn't say that I wouldn't.

Hide

Cousin.

Cousin.

What are you doing here at the dead end?

My grandfather told me to find

that Xiahou kid.

Have you seen him?

You're so silly.

why would he walk into a dead end?

I saw him walking pass the main road.

Which one?

At front.

Go

Brother Xiahou, my grandfather has sent out many men

looking for you, you should hide now

Alright, I'll go to your house at night.

I must take back the treasure.

You come to my place at midnight.

I'm sure we'll succeed, working together.

Ambush, run!

Go!

Wait

Very well.

Very skilled for a young man like you.

Impressive young lad.

Thank you for your compliments.

Who's your teacher?

He keeps to himself

I'd rather not mention his name.

Just from your three strokes,

I could see that you're using the Swift Sword Style.

your teacher is Bai Yipeng.

Tell me, where is he?

Is he alive?

It doesn't concern you.

I have your friend as hostage.

I'll kill her if you don't tell the truth.

Tell me where Bai Yipeng is,

and I'll set her free

Alright, my master is in the Southern Mountain Range.

if you set Xiaomei free.

I'll take you to him

Very well, we'll to tomorrow

Men, prepare a guest room and some food,

treat our special guest well.

Please.

I'm done, take it away.

Yes…

Ningzhi.

My mom wants to speak to you, follow me

There're guards, we can't leave.

What's going on? Let's go upstairs

Let's take a break

Come with me.

Mother.

Bai Yipeng is still alive?

Yes, he’s alive

He's living in a cave as a hermit.

he's handicapped now.

That's why he passed his skills to me.

No wonder, I could spot right away.

You have his style.

Mother, let's go to find him.

Brother Xiaotong, take us.

You are…

I'm Yipeng's wife,

Ningzhi is his daughter.

My master has never mentioned that to me

He was harmed by his enemy.

When this happened.

Ningzhi wasn't born yet.

He's handicapped now,

of course he doesn't like to bring up the past

Mrs. Bai, who's my master's enemy?

I swear I'll avenge for him.

His enemies are the Cold-blooded Five

Grandpa

Yes, they would do all kinds of evil deeds

Over the decade,

me and Ningzhi have endured a lot,

I did that only in the hope that

Yipeng will reunite with us someday.

Mother, I must get even.

Right, save Xiaomei and kill the Cold-blooded Five

Then I'll take you to my master.

Brother Xiaotong, let's fight our way in.

Let's go.

Wait.

The Five are all skilled swordsman.

if you are under siege.

I know there's a secret way out.

Where?

The pond in the garden.

Though it's deep, one could

swim through the cracks in the stones at the bottom.

and you'll find your way here into this forest

I played in the pond when I was little,

and found this way,

no one knows about this

I got it.

Let's split up.

Maybe I could help you to find the treasure chest.

Alright, you go ahead. we'll be right back

I'll make a diversion.

Oh no! There's a fire!

Fire…!

Follow me.

Come

Hold this.

Join us for a drink.

Get up.

Go!

Go!

Let's go, Xiaomei.

This is the chest, take it and leave now.

Yes, let's go.

Freeze, you aren't going anywhere.

Xiaomei, fight your way out.

Follow

Hurry.

Bai Yipeng is still alive.

You must know where he's hiding, speak up.

I don't know...

Bai Yipeng's handicapped,

I doubt that he could leave the Southern Range.

Right, even if we must trample the region.

Bai Yipeng must die

Right, let's go right away.

Brother Xiaotong, are you alright?

It's nothing, just a scratch.

Take the gold to the central plains now.

be careful.

Take care, see you.

See you.

Goodbye, Miss Leng

They must have gone to find my master.

and they will kill him.

We must reach him before to protect him.

Let's go.

Ningzhi, we're here.

Father

Ningzhi.

Father

How's your mother?

Why isn't she here with you?

She's in the hands of the Cold-blooded Five.

they're threatening her, and they're heading here.

They want us all dead.

I found the treasure on Hulu Mountain,

but they snatched it.

It's really not a big deal, but

since the treasure is in the hands of the evil, it'll

be nothing but causing troubles for future generations.

Good timing!

I could finish this once and for all.

The Plum Blossom Formation of the Cold-blooded Five

are a very powerful formation.

Master, you should stay away.

We'll block them.

I've been hiding for over a decade.

I will face them this time.

Whether I live or die, it's up to fate.

Xiaotong.

this is a protective Armour, it blocks weapons.

Take it and wear it

Thank you, Master.

Bai Yipeng, come out and be killed.

Bai Yipeng, come out if you have guts.

Yipeng, don't come out, you must run.

Yipeng, don't worry about me, just leave.

Yipeng, you can't win them, just go.

4th & 5th brother, go!

Yes

Xiaotong, protect Ningzhi.

Careful, it's the Five Ghosts Life-Claiming Formation.

Use Qigong.

I've seen the Five Ghosts Life-Claiming Formation.

A long snake formation.

Careful.

The dragnet!

Heaven and earth together.

Dragon on left, tiger on right, snatching the bell.

Plum blossom formation.

The Peacock spreads its tail.
