Did you, kill Sheri Tucker?

Do you actually think that I could kill someone?

Pastor Daniel Byrd's Journals

That's probably the only way we're gonna get the truth.

An eye for an eye

It should have never come to this

Oh my god.

You got your church back.

You should be happy

Cypress is changing, a lot of people would love to see you

It would take an act of God to get me back to that town.

Oh, thank you. Thank you so much.

Yeah just those there, and then the next round

you just stick 'em in that corner, okay?

Thank you, guys.

Alright, what else?

[Background shuffling] Move those over there I guess.

Hey, girl.

[Gasps] Hey! Oh my goodness!

Hi, girl.

Oah, it has been too long.

Uh...

you did not have to bring anything.

Girl, what kind of girl would I be if I didn't bring you a housewarming gift?

‐ Mm hm. ‐ And...

you had some mail already.

Great.

I didn't know how long it would take to forward to my new place.

Oh, girl!

The parties we are gonna have in here.

‐ [Laughter] ‐ Mimosas by the pool,

champagne at night.

[Laughter] We gonna get down.

Okay.

Sighs....

um, that's creepy.

Who's it from?

I don't know. It looks like it was hand delivered.

Is that the woman from the church fire?

Sheri Tucker,

yeah.

Oh.

Cause of death,

smoke inhalation due to fire.

Hmm.

Hmm.

[Ominous Music]

No soot.

What's that mean?

It means no smoke inhalation.

The autopsy and the death certificate don't match.

[Dramatic Music]

Your mom got bodies. She killed Sheri Tucker too.

[Dramatic Music]

Your decision making left the vault vulnerable.

As I mentioned already, my priority was protecting

the casino patrons and the cash on the floor.

And yet those choices left two dead and the money stolen.

And I will carry that with me.

We've been unable to find the security footage among

Paul Miller's belongings.

Have you checked his office?

Yes, and his coworkers were unaware that the security footage was in his possession.

I promise you that I gave him all of the files and I

I trusted that he would maintain it's integrity and record.

Well we will continue to search but unfortunately with his

passing, we can only assume that the files are gone.

I know. I was very sorry to hear about that. It's

never easy loosing another fellow public servant.

Sheri Tucker was the petitioner for your mother's recall.

[Suspenseful Music]

Puncture wound near her neck.

It pierced an artery.

Was that woman stabbed?

We can't assume that.

Mmm...

someone did.

Eh it could've been anything that caused that puncture.

It probably happened after her death.

You don't really believe that,

do you?

Thank you for your cooperation, Mayor Johnson.

Of course. We all have to do our part in the pursuit of justice.

Did you sent this?

I did.

Why?

Because it proves what you already know.

Your mother is a cold‐blooded killer.

Levi, where'd you get this?

In a package from Detective St. Charles.

St. Charles? Why would he send this to you?

Looks like he wanted an insurance policy to me.

For what?

He shot himself.

You still believe that?

Look at all this.

Take the blinders off.

[Instrumental Music]

Do you actually think that I could kill someone?

‐ You think my mother killed St. Charles? ‐ Look at....

...the evidence, Christie!

Hey Christie, is this mom's?

I saw this exact same thing layin' on the floor.

Come on now, Levi. My mom's a monster?

Is there anything else up your sleeve? Anybody else in the ground

because of my mother?

‐ I don't know. ‐ Anybody else?

‐ I don't know. ‐ Who else?!

made the call that got my wife killed.

Who is it?

It's Malik.

Hello, everyone.

Well good, we can finally get started.

It has been brought to my attention that my brother Malik,

has purchased a property

using his own money,

and is funneling UpSurge funds through said property

to use it as a tax shelter,

[Dramatic Music]

which of course is a felony.

‐ What property? ‐ [Felicia] Jabari, please....

I have the floor.

Now in a effort to protect UpSurge,

I'm obligated to report Malik to the FBI.

But I'm hoping that through our transparency,

UpSurge will come through this unscathed.

Malik of course, will have to step down as CEO.

My hope is that my brother will avoid a prison sentence.

But in the meantime,

I am ready to step into the role of CEO

and handle any required duties,

effective immediately.

And I'm sure that you have proof of

my wrongdoings?

[Felicia chuckles]

Please pull up the financial transactions from last week.

Thank you.

You will see that UpSurge

should level out at about $700 million.

However, due to the laundering of funds, we're just short of $530 million.

You'll see the difference

is going into the church property

in multiple installments

by way of Malik's corporate log‐in.

I'm confused.

It won't be the first time.

Okay. If Malik supposedly stole 170 million dollars from

UpSurge's accounts then

why are our accounts up north of $700 million?
