[Episode 1]

Since the fall of the previous dynasty

there have been nearly a century of chaos

Constant friction between Beipan and Central Plains

The nine kingdoms of Central Plains each hold their own territories

but there have been in constant conflict for many years

Among them, States of An and Wu are the most powerful

Emperor An loves war and greed

They've annexed countless cities from neighboring countries

While State of Wu is rich and strong

It's a major enemy coveted by Emperor An

In the sixth year of Yongyou

Emperor An launched a military campaign to seize the gold mine in the west of Wu

Emperor Wu welcomed the battle south of Tianmen Pass

The fate begins to turn from here

Charge!

Charge!

Good!

Good

Everyone

Amazing!

May this wine

toast to the victory of our emperor

And the defeat of the An's army

Return triumphant

To the victory of our emperor

And the defeat of the An's army

Good!

Everyone will be rewarded

Go outside later

My neck has been uncomfortable these days

I'll give you a massage later

Take a rest quickly

Go quickly

Let go of me

Beauty

Don't rush to serve Prince Han

Serve me first

Sister Linglong

You've already grown up

Yet you always mess things up

I wonder who chose you

to join the Vermilion Guard back then

I was never fit to be a spy

If it weren't for you just now,

I would have been...

But we must complete the mission first

Or we would all die

We, the Vermilion Guard from State of An

has twenty of us in Baique in Wudu

But Han Prince only has eyes for you

Hurry up and tidy up, go see him

You must charm him

Make him take you back to his residence

Whether An's army

can achieve complete victory

All depends on whether you can steal

the map of grain and supplies from his father's study

What will he do then?

He...

You don't have to worry

I have the Xiaoyao Powder here

When he wakes up

he'll only remember being drunk

with a wet dream

After that

he can't be a man anymore

Prince

You smell so good today

No...

Not here

Prince

I...

I don't wanna stay in this shabby room in the Imperial Music Office anymore

After the banquet

Can you take me back to your residence?

Okay

After the banquet

I'll take you back to my residence

Make you my concubine

Thank you, Your Highness

Start dancing

Captain Zhao from Six Realms Hall is here

Six Realms Hall's Cavalry

Lord Zhao

Lord Zhao

Welcome, Your Excellency

Apologize for not meeting you earlier

You are too polite

Your banquet

Since I received the invitation,

how could I not come and show my support?

Please, Lord

Play music

Start dancing

How dare you!

Lord, why is this happening?

The next sentence is "General died in a hundred battles"

His Majesty has taken the role of a general,

personally leading the expedition to An

Yet you dare harbor evil intentions

cursing His Majesty

You deserve a thousand deaths

Calm down, Lord

Calm down, Lord

I dare not have such intentions

We dare not have such intentions

It seems that Lord Zhao means the birthday gift

I am dull-witted

It was a moment of carelessness

I'm afraid that spies from An have infiltrated the mansion

Lord

I fear that among these gifts,

there may be things that frame and incriminate us

Please bring them all back for inspection

Sit down, all of you

Thank you, Lord

Your Highness

Zhao Ji from Six Realms Hall is really shameless

Isn't this blatantly demanding money

on the occasion of a birthday?

If you still wanna be alive,

you can speak louder

Do you think Six Realms Hall

is still under Ning Yuanzhou's control?

You must forget

how Minister Zhou died last month

What you said makes sense

Lord

In that case,

all suspicions on me

have been cleared, right?

There are only bribes sent by spies,

but no spies, huh?

You're right, Lord

They are all spies

Then behead them immediately

To relieve burdens for me

I'll follow your orders, Lord

Come in

Please spare our lives, Lord

Lord, please spare our lives

Spare us, Lord

Get up

Spare us, please

Spare us, please

-Get up -Lord

Hurry up Let's go

Please spare us, Lord

Save us, Your Highness

Spare us, Lord

Come on. We are innocent

Go

-Lord. Your Highness -Hurry

Your Highness, save me

Go

Go

Hurry

Hurry. Let's go

Hurry, go!

Hurry up

Hurry, go!

Lord!

Please spare me!

I'm innocent!

My beauty

I know you're innocent

But why did you encounter Lord Zhao

when he's short on money?

All of you, kneel facing the pool!

Kneel down!

Kneel down, hurry!

What should we do?

Don't be afraid

Follow me and act accordingly later

Lord, please wait!

I still have a pearl on me

I'm willing to give it to you

Just to leave me a whole body

You're quite skilled

Wait, don't kill her first

Who are you really?

Why are you so powerful?

Didn't you want freedom?

Now is the perfect opportunity

The members of the division don't know

that we didn't die

But every six months, we Baique

have to take the antidote to stay alive

If we run away now...

The poison won't matter

As long as we take five taels of rhubarb

and vomit three times

before the poison is fully effective

the remaining poison will be cleared

Really?

Believe it or not

How do you know so much?

With your skills, you can even better

Why would you join Baique with me?

I was really naive

I always treated you

as a clueless weak woman

I am not anyone

Just a ghostly spirit

Will you follow me now or not?

No

I have to go back to the division

Mr. Yu is still there

I can't leave alone

Why did you join Baique?

To repay a debt

My eldest brother fell ill

My mother had to sell me

Why did your mother sell you

since your brother got sick?

Isn't your life important?

Ten years ago, for a man,

your family sold you

Ten years later, for another man,

you're willing to sacrifice yourself again

Is it worth it?

Yes, it's worth it

Me and Mr. Yu

Ruyi

You'll be auntie soon

Then go back

Remember to tell the person in charge

I'm already dead in Six Realms Hall

According to the rules

after Baique's death

The family members held as hostages can be free

Take it

Pure gold

Take care

Wait

Tomorrow at 5 p.m. to 7 p.m

At the entrance of Xiyuan Lane

I'll bring Han's grain and grass map over

I never owe anyone in my life

I help you turn my merits into sins

You help me ensure the safety of my family

Speak louder

Urgent report from the palace

Five days ago

Our army suffered a major defeat at Tianmen Pass by the An Army

Say it again

Our army suffered a major defeat at Tianmen Pass by the An Army

We lost Xu, Cai, and Jing three cities

Your Majesty

His Majesty has already been in a mishap

Nonsense

The Jingyang Bell has already rung

The Regent of Danyang

is summoning all officials to attend the court meeting urgently

Go to the Zhang's Mansion

Are there any survivors?

Any survivors?

Are there any people left?

Don't make a sound

Don't attract the people cleaning the battlefield from An

Ning Yuanzhou

The leader of the Longxiang Cavalry

You're still alive

General Xiao has a good memory

Ning Yuanzhou

You were pretending to be dead

Lower your voice

There seems to be some movement over there

I really heard someone talking just now

There must be some survivors

Check it out

Yes

See if there are any survivors ahead

Yes

I originally wanted to hide in the army to the capital

But I can't find peace anywhere

Ning Yuanzhou

You're so skilled

Why would you be a leader of the soldiers?

Lazy, I guess

Let's go

Where are you going?

I'm already dead

Ning Yuanzhou, you can't leave

The soldiers of Wu can't be deserters

Come back with me now

Gather our remaining forces and work together

Work together for what?

The Emperor has been captured, hasn't he?

You dare

Fine

Come on

Look here

This arrow was shot from behind

Understand?

An does want to kill us

But His Majesty believed in slander and underestimated the enemy

The battle formation was in chaos without any order

They are also killing us

General Xiao

It's your choice

to pledge your loyalty

But I no longer want to play

I don't owe Wu anything

Ning Yuanzhou, listen to me

Just kidding

Goodbye

The late Emperor passed away

An is pressing borders with a large army

We have to act accordingly

The country cannot be without a ruler for a day

Before the late Emperor left,

he appointed Prince Danyang to be the Regent

Therefore, Prince Danyang should ascend the throne

to bring peace to the country

I second that

I second that

This concerns the throne

We cannot be hasty

The news of the Emperor's death is just a rumor

without evidence

How can you all...

Your Highness

What do you think?

Since the late Emperor has met with misfortune

The Emperor is still safe

Who dares call the late Emperor?

Empress

What do you mean by this?

Empress

My cousin, Xiao Ming,

also accompanied the Emperor on this campaign

I just received a secret letter

which states that the Emperor lost the battle

But his life is safe

He is currently staying with the An's army as a guest

Furthermore,

I am already pregnant

According to the Imperial Hospital,

there is a 90% chance it's a boy

Prince Danyang

When you and the Emperor were studying in the study,

the late Emperor personally taught you

that no one is more important than brothers

Surely you haven't forgotten it, right?

Now that the Emperor is in trouble,

as a member of the royal family,

can Prince Danyang

keep a close eye on the Throne

on behalf of the Emperor and unborn prince

I'll be diligent and cautious

to fulfill the late Emperor's trust

However,

Empress, how can you be sure

that the unborn child is definitely a prince?

In this time of national crisis,

it is indeed a joy

for the Empress to be pregnant

In my opinion,

we should maintain the status

with the Prince Danyang as the Regent

After the Empress gives birth,

determine the succession based on gender

Empress, please consider the people

and the welfare of the nation

I second that

I heard about what happened in the court

The Prince Danyang is now in power

He's not easy to control

Fortunately, the Empress is pregnant

Even if that's not a prince,

as long as you give the order,

I can make one for you

Prince Danyang won't be

more obedient than a young boy

Wait a minute

How could General Xiao know

what happened to the Emperor?

But still no news from the God Realm

which's responsible for protecting the Emperor

This...

There has been no news from

from Animal Realm for several days

I guess he's been lazy

I'll just...

No news yet

News from Animal Realm

are usually reported every two days

You've been in charge of Six Realms Hall for so long

And you still haven't figured out

I am incompetent

No wonder recently

there have been complaints about Six Realms Hall everywhere

I was really foolish back then

I actually abolished Ning Yuanzhou and promoted you

Go to the Six Realms Hall

I've been sick for so long

I also need to see

how you've turned

my Six Realms Hall into?

Tell me

Where is Six Realms Hall

in Wu's Court?

Yes

Six Realms Hall was created by Taizu

that specializes in investigation and espionage

There are six realms in the hall

God Realm

is in charge of protecting the royal family

Human Realm

monitors officials at all levels

Demigod Realm

engages in bribery and seduction

These three are Good Realms

The disciples of the Realms are called Cavalry

The remaining three are the Three Evil Realms

The disciples of them are called Chazi

Hungry Ghost Realm

creates mechanisms

Animal Realm

specializes in espionage

Hell Realm

is known for assassination

Ning Yuanzhou has already changed Hell Realm

into the Senluo Hall, which analyzes all intelligence

Why still mention assassination?

I understand now

Many of the past Six Realms Hall leaders

were from the noble Three Good Realms

But you are from the Human Realm

Generations of Cavalry in your family

You probably thought after former head Song died

you had a good chance of succeeding

But you didn't expect

he promoted Ning Yuanzhou

from the Hell Realm

You must naturally hate him

Am I right?

No, wait

Ning Yuanzhou carefully arranged

the disciples of the Animal Realm in various countries

and set up 108 secret report nodes

But now

why are there so few carrier pigeons?

They all flew away?

Is that so?

Ning Yuanzhou also innovated the Hell Realm

He had the retired disciples come to the Senluo Hall

to analyze and summarize the secret reports

to hand over to various departments

But now

Where are the secret reports and summaries?

I...

I...

After you took charge

you abolished them all

You abolished them all

You blinded yourself

No wonder Emperor's expedition ended in such a disastrous defeat

I know I was wrong

Uncle

Shut up

Just a nephew of a concubine

You're not worthy of calling me uncle

Listen to me carefully

If not for the sake of your aunt,

I would have killed you long ago

Go to the prison now

and bring Ning Yuanzhou to me

I'll send him to State of An

To State of An

State of An?

I want him to see with his own eyes

whether the Emperor is truly alive

Ning Yuanzhou has hidden there before

I want him to get to the Emperor

before Prince Danyang does

Retrieve the imperial edict for the unborn child in the Queen's belly

But Ning Yuanzhou is with the Emperor

And the Emperor...

I'm afraid it may take some time...

to find Ning Yuanzhou

What?

You can't find him?

Lord

Even exile wouldn't be enough

You actually want to kill him

You

Bring Ning Yuanzhou to me within seven days

Otherwise,

I'll have your aunt sacrifice for you

Yes

Lord

What should we do?

Within seven days,

you must find Ning Yuanzhou

But...

Isn't he already dead?

What if he's not?

If he's alive, he'll definitely come home

Let Xu Jun find him

Lord, Xu Jun...

He's dead

What?

The bodies of Xu Jun and four others

were just found in the backyard of the Recovery Office

It seems there was a problem

when dealing with those dancing girls

I've already checked it out

Among those dancing girls

some of them are from Vermilion Guard

Only the lowest-ranking Baique

could be dancing girls in the Vermilion Guard

How could Baique be so skilled?

-Lord -Let Mr. Yue take action in advance

Prime Minister Zhang is currently in a rage

If we can't find Ning Yuanzhou,

we can only rely on this grand plan

to make up for it

Yes

Why hasn't Linglong arrived yet?

Could something have happened?

I have to return to the branch

Mr. Yu is still there

I can't go alone

Go check over there

Search thoroughly

Yes

You guys go over there

Yes

Search carefully

Yes

Don't worry, lord

It's just cats fighting

Mr. Yue

All the members of

the Vermilion Guard's branch are here

They're all here

Yesterday, Wu's branch got the warning

exposed by Baique from Recovery Office

All registered individuals have been transferred

to the Wu's Branch for rendezvous

Not a single one missing

A total of forty-seven lives

For only three thousand gold

You got a good deal

Not a single one missing

But I don't believe

Baique, who only specializes in seduction and investigation,

can kill my four capable subordinates

Are you questioning me, Lord Zhao?

I just want justice for my deceased buddies

Justice for the dead

No unjust spirits

That's true

But my buddies

can't die without a clear reason

Mr. Yue

Tell the truth

Besides the people from the Wu's Branch

Have you sent any other experts

from the headquarter here?

Nope

That's all our transaction

Where's the money?

Who exactly Mr. Yue is

in Vermilion Guard?

Indeed ruthless

47 colleagues were killed on the spot

without even blinking

They were just

low-level Baique from Vermilion Guard

Others will take their place

That Baique named Linglong

Did you interrogate her?

Yes

I personally broke every bone in her body

Only then did she admit

that her beloved partner

died with her

How is that possible?

He was Mr. Yue's confidant

Mr. Yue only took him away

But I still think

she couldn't have done something so big alone

Search this place thoroughly

Check carefully in the city these days

If there are any escaped members

they'll try to leave the city by any means

Make sure to stop her for me

Yes

Burn here

Hurry up

Yes

Faster

Quick

It's poisonous

Let's go

Retreat
