magical Christmas tap shoes?

Well, freshman year of
high school

I auditioned for the lead in
"A White Christmas"

and I thought it was going to be
the start of

an illustrious Broadway career.

And there was an elaborate
tap dance number for the role

that I thought I could somehow
magically pull off

with zero experience

and a nice pair of shoes.

Of course. How could you not?

So my grandmother, she always
encourages me to, you know,

chase after my dreams and she
sent me this pair for Christmas.

And you went on to
glowing reviews

and a full page spread in
the yearbook

and a full ride to Julliard,
right?

Absolutely... not.

No, I bombed it.
It was really bad.

I didn't even make the chorus.

But I did join the
art department

and we made some great sets

and that's when I found
my love for design.

I was up for this
prestigious internship

at a high-end design firm.

I marched in there
