-You're getting cold, put this on. -I don't need it.

Okay, now.

-Nuan. -Nuan.

Nuan.

Nuan.

Nuan.

Nuan.

Linlu, did Nuan come back?

-Her phone is off. -Switched off?

Where would she go this late at night? I'm so worried.

Let me call Zhan Nanxian.

I'm so worried.

Pick up.

-He's not picking up. -I'm going to find her.

I'll go with you.

You stay here, in case she comes back. Someone needs to be at home.

-Keep in touch. -Got it.

So worried, pick up the phone.

Pick up the phone.

Thank you.

For being here with me tonight.

Just now,

as I sat here,

I thought over everything that's happened lately.

What's your conclusion?

You once told me...

that I'm too naive at work.

I have to admit that you were right.

But don't you worry.

I won't run away anymore.

Work is not like school.

Every question has one correct answer.

As long as you're comfortable with your decision,

you just keep going.

I believe that one day the mist will clear.

Thank you.

You should go inside.

-Good night. -Good night.

Aren't you going back?

I want see you go inside.

Nuan, where have you been? You didn't pick up and your phone is off.

I was so worried.

We had a lot to deal with at work today.

I called your office and they told me you'd left a long time ago.

I walked around after work.

Sorry for worrying you.

It wasn't just me that was worried.

Zhan Nanxian also called looking for you.

I know, he just brought me home.

We went everywhere looking for you.

How did he find you?

Call Zhu Linlu and let him know you are home safe. He's looking for you.

WEN ROU

Wen Rou, is Nuan home yet?

This is Wen Nuan.

I'm home.

-I'll come over. -Don't.

I'm exhausted, I want to rest.

Good to know you're okay.

Sorry for worrying you.

Get some rest.

I overreacted.

Okay, I know, I'm going back.

Have some water.

Thank you.

Nuan.

Is something bothering you?

Something at work?

Sis, it's normal to have pressure at work.

I heard there are rumors about you at Shallow Cosmo now.

If you are upset, you can talk to me.

Don't keep everything to yourself.

I won’t be beaten down that easily, don't you worry.

Sorry for keeping you so late, you should get some sleep.

Okay.

Get some sleep, too. Don't think about things too much.

Little fellows, are you hungry?

Would you like some evening snacks?

Hey, you.

That's right.

You need to learn to try, step by step.

You can't always be inside your shell.

Seems that you guys have gradually started trying...

to face a whole new world.

My efforts these days are not wasted.

Hurry and eat.

Come down and eat.

Step by step.

Walking towards me slowly.

My god, Wen Nuan is still not here.

I hope she's alright.

Could she have fainted somewhere?

That can't be.

But her desk is so neat and tidy.

Why is she still not here?

She didn't quit, did she?

For God's sake, please don't quit, Wen Nuan.

If you quit,

what am I going to do?

There's nothing I can help with now.

What can I do?

Xiaodai, how come it's only you?

Hello.

Are you okay?

You laugh and joke all the time, you are so happy.

Why do you look so upset?

What happened?

Mr. Zhan.

I kept calling Wen Nuan yesterday as you asked me to.

But I couldn't reach her.

I called and I called and I fell asleep.

I'll call her again now.

It's okay, don't worry.

-She's okay now. -Really?

That's great.

But...

Wen Nuan always comes in very early.

But it's already very late now.

And she's still not here.

She didn't quit, did she?

Mr. Zhan,

please don't fire Wen Nuan.

She's really sweet. And the thing that happened to Du Xintong,

it's impossible that she did it.

Nanxian, this is what I think.

We should investigate the accusation against Wen Nuan thoroughly.

We don't want to blame the innocent.

I never said I'd fire her.

She's in charge of herself; she can stay or she can leave.

It's her decision.

Oh, my God, what can I do?

Even Mr. Zhan is not going to persuade Wen Nuan to stay.

What if Wen Nuan never comes back?

Who's going to mentor me here at work?

-Okay... -What can I do?

Xiaodai, don't cry, come here.

Take this and wipe your tears.

I don't want Wen Nuan to go. What if she never comes back?

Come over here, sit down first.

Come.

Don't just hold the tissue, wipe your face.

Girls are so good at crying!

How about you look at me.

Do you feel better?

Mr. Zhan.

Listen,

there has been a lot of talk about Wen Nuan lately.

What do you mean?

I mean everybody in the office is talking about Wen Nuan and Du Xintong.

There is a saying: "Rumors can melt metal, rumors can break bones."

Wen Nuan is such a kind girl. She won't be able to take it.

And?

And as such a beautiful and talented girl,

she's irreplaceable.

Allow me to make a bold assumption. You'd feel pretty bad if she left, right?

Okay, what are you trying to say?

Just trying to be helpful.

I think you just care about Wen Nuan.

-What? -It's the same thing, isn't it?

In fact, for Wen Nuan,

as long as she's not involved in Du Xintong's matter,

she can definitely find a way to prove herself.

If she wants to.

Fair enough.

Mr. Zhan, I feel that you know a great deal about Wen Nuan.

Indeed, I'm sure a brilliant girl like Wen Nuan will find a way herself.

Therefore, this special assistant requires your special attention.

Don't you think?

Come on, Guan Ti. Could you please leave me alone?

Oh, am I bugging you now?

I'm very much bothered.

Times are different now.

Your bro's feelings are hurt.

Don't leave, stay there.

What's wrong with your hair?

Mr. Yu.

Look at the quality of the people coming for interviews.

Can't your HR department do a prescreening first?

Yo.

What's the matter?

You wanted to recruit new staff.

There isn't one decent candidate the whole morning?

In my opinion, you are only recruiting an employee.

You are not looking for a son-in-law.

You can't have perfection.

Good qualifications, good appearance,

good experience, and great ability. If there were anyone that perfect,

they could take even your position.

Get back to work now.

Ms. Wen, calm down.

It's about lunch time now.

Go have some lunch and take a break.

We've got more interviews this afternoon.

There must be some good ones that meet your standards.

I hope so.

Seriously, Zhu Linlu, where did you find all these weirdo applicants?

I've had enough.

Plus, your cousin, Mr. Zhu Linghong:

I swear, if he's impolite one more time, I will show him what I'm made of.

Let me change the plate for you.

Okay, okay, I'm having lunch now.

Thanks to your torment, my blood pressure is through the roof now

and my blood sugar is very low, you know?

-Hello? -Bye.

What? Mr. Wu returned so quickly?

Can you ask him to come back a bit later? I can't afford a homecoming dinner now.

Who would have known? I only bought some clothes and a new phone

and all of my money is gone.

No, no, I can't eat instant noodles.

Who'd have thought everything would get so expensive, money has become worthless.

Okay, this chair is making me uncomfortable. Let me switch.

Talk to you later.

-Come on, what's wrong with you. -Oh, I'm so sorry.

I can take care of it.

How much are your clothes? I'll compensate you.

You want to compensate me?

No, thank you.

At least let me take care of the dry cleaning.

Money is really worthless these days.

So would you please try not be a big spender, okay?

-I'm sorry, my apologies. -Never mind.

Hello, I've got stain on my clothes, how can I go to the interview now?

Silly me.

I can't wipe it off.

What can I do?

We bumped into each other. I'm also responsible that your shirt is dirty.

-Take this money and go buy a new one. -No, no I can't take this.

We are cool.

For a first interview, you don't have to wear anything fancy.

But you have to dress clean and tidy.

Good luck.

Wait, wait.

Come in, please.

Good morning, Mr. Zhan.

Morning.

This is the latest report from the consultant agency.

It contains research data regarding product quality,

supply chains, customer service and a few primary business procedures.

As well as market competitiveness analysis.

Please have a look.

It's all categorized.

Very clear.

Mr. Gao once said,

"Data is the most convincing proof in a report."

So before I came to work this morning,

I went to the consultant agency and verified all the data they selected.

Then I went down to the market

and did a random sample test.

Their analysis is accurate.

So my opinion is that this report is very reliable.

I was right about letting you off work early last night.

Look at your enthusiasm today.

Keep up the good work.

I believe...

it was the heavy wind yesterday

that blew all of my troubles away.

I now have a clearer vision of what I really want.

Okay, back to work.

Ms. Wen?

Didn't you have a different outfit on this morning?

I had no choice; bad day. Needed a different look to shift my luck.

LIU RUI

How come there is no photo on Liu Rui's file?

We asked him to provide one.

He told me resume photos were not required when he was abroad.

So that employers won't judge people based on their appearance.

His explanation makes sense, plus he's very qualified.

That's why I asked him to come for an interview.

Looks like he's going to remain hidden until the last moment.

It's already past the time. I'll give him one more minute.

If he's still doesn't show up, you can throw this resume in the bin.

I definitely won't hire someone who's late for the interview.

Take a seat.

Let me introduce myself.

I'm Yu from Dai Zhong Technology's HR Department.

This is Ms. Wen from accounting.

Hello.

Excuse me, Ms. Wen, I need to take this international call.

Liu Rui, looks like we've got some karma.

Yes, if I knew you were the interviewer,

I wouldn't have gone home to change.

You went home and changed?

Do you live nearby?

Yes.

In this location.

If you cut down the cost of rent, you could save up a lot of money, right?

That is correct indeed.

But quality of life is also very important.

By the way, what do you think of my outfit?

"Doesn't have to be fancy, but it must be clean and tidy."

You actually remembered what I said.

Of course, I always take the word of elders seriously.

Elders?

You're not going to call me Auntie, are you?

Also...

the money you gave me, thank you.

Just take the money.

Go buy some quality clothes.

In our line of work,

clients are a little distrustful if you look like a dandy.

Don't worry, I can earn my own money to buy clothes.

Just take it.

Okay, looks like you really need this job.

Let me ask you first,

what do you know about the financial structure of Dai Zhong Technology?

Um, okay, for Dai Zhong Technology, it's primarily...

This is the accounting department.

This will be your desk now.

-Okay, I'll see you tomorrow. -Okay.

Also Ms. Wen,

you left your scarf at the restaurant.

I put it at the front desk.

The scarf's color and style are the most popular this year.

You have a great taste.

Yes, a bit better than yours.

I need to remind you of something, Liu Rui.

You haven't been out in the workforce for very long.

Don't value the enjoyment that money brings too much.

In addition,

this is a place of work.

Please dress properly next time you come here.

Sure, don't worry, Ms. Wen. I'll keep that in mind.

-I won't forget what you said. -Okay.

Linlu.

This is my newly recruited assistant. His name is Liu Rui.

-Welcome. -How are you?

See you later.

-Okay. -Bye.

Okay...

You've found an assistant already.

Tell me,

this Liu Rui,

what do you see in him?

This guy, he's quite sharp.

Should have strong abilities.

He's just got some bad habits that all youngsters have these days.

His vanity exceeds his wealth.

But his personal life is none of my business, as long as he works hard.

That's not the point.

The point is, his shirt is really...

As his supervisor, shouldn't you advise him somehow?

I did.

I hope he's clever enough to understand.

I hope so. I'm having dinner at your place tonight.

You want to see Nuan, don't you? Unfortunately,

my sister has gone back to workaholic mode.

She's not gonna be home for dinner.

She took the blame for me. At least let me make it up to her.

-Another time maybe? -All right, then.

Okay, now back to work.

Hello.

Hello, Zhan Nanxian.

Your employees' accusation...

of Nuan injuring someone.

If you can't deal with it, then I will.

Since when do Shallow Cosmo's internal affairs

require Dai Zhong Technology's attention?

Come in.

Mr. Zhan, I've found out what you asked me to investigate.

-Oh? -Oh.

Almost, almost.

Our R&D project has been going well lately.

It's all because of your and Guan Ti's efforts.

Not just the two of us, I think Wen Nuan did well too.

Not sure if you've seen the data analysis she gave you.

It's a pretty thorough analysis.

An ordinary consultancy wouldn't have been able to do it.

You can tell how much effort she's put in.

Also, do you have the feeling that Wen Nuan...

has changed recently?

What kind of change?

She used to be more of a loner.

Always seemed a bit unfriendly.

Seems you've checked her out quite well.

Of course.

How about now?

Now...

she's more vivid and happy.

And she's actively willing to express her ideas.

You can tell that the man behind her is really a good one.

He's okay.

You think I was talking about you?

I was talking about Zhu Linlu.

-Watch how I'll beat you. -You watch my defense, come on.

Oh.

Almost had it...

-I'm counter attacking now. -Bring it on...

-Okay. -Oh.

Morning.

Good morning, Du...

Sis Xintong.

-How are you? -You've recovered so quickly.

You should rest up more.

We all worry about you.

You are still young.

-This won't affect your future. -Right.

Thank you for your concern.

I'm fed up with staying home. I want to work with you guys.

A bad thing happened.

It wouldn't be fair if no serious disciplinary measures are taken.

Justice will prevail. Let the company handle this.

Director.

-Director, you guys go ahead. -Okay.

Sorry for troubling you.

The matter was caused by Wen Nuan. I won't blame the company.

Although she's not that much of a team player,

she is indeed a hard worker.

Maybe she didn't mean it.

To cause my miscarriage.

Thank you for your understanding.

We called you over today regarding the incident involving you and Wen Nuan

pulling each other. We are going to have a fair verdict.

I trust the company's decision.

Let's go.

Wen Nuan, I'll see you leaving Shallow Cosmo after this.

In the past,

we've had some employee conflicts at our company.

It caused a lot of bad rumors in the office.

Terrible for morale.

I called everyone over today...

to have the matter dealt with in a just and fair manner.

Ms. Chi.

Yes, Mr. Zhan.

Du Xintong.

We have proof from an employee...

that you voluntarily had an abortion a couple of months ago.

I would like to know if your miscarriage had anything to do with your abortion.

Of course not.

Other people saw what happened, Ms. Chi.

Who would joke about this?

Instead of questioning Wen Nuan,

you decided to reopen my wounds. This is unacceptable.

Calm down. We all know about your miscarriage.

CERTIFICATE OF DIAGNOSIS NON-MEDICALLY-INDUCED MISCARRIAGE

This is the miscarriage certificate you provided us with.

I checked. The date on this...

has been modified.

Everything else is the same as your last abortion.

Du Xintong,

you might have watched too much Hamlet.

It's not enough that you dragged Ruqian into a hole.

You also did a vicious thing to Wen Nuan.

I didn't.

The whole thing is clear now.

We all have our own judgment.

I hope incidents like this won't happen again in the future.

Du Xintong, Guo Ruqian.

The two of you divulged confidential corporate information,

retaliating against your coworkers.

You have severely affected corporate affairs.

Effective immediately, we are voiding your employment contract.

Ms. Chi, I'll need to you to sort this out for me ASAP.

-Mr. Zhan, I admit my mistakes. -Yes.

-But please don't fire Ruqian, okay? -Enough.

That'll be all.

-Okay. -Let's go.

DAI ZHONG TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD.

Ms. Wen is working hard.

Here's your coffee.

You've finally grown a conscience.

What's up? You want to ask about Nuan?

Yes.

I knew it.

The coffee offering is just camouflage. Asking about Nuan is your true intention.

Both are my true intentions.

Why are you staring at me? Talk.

You know how Nuan is.

She never tells me bad news.

She doesn't say much, but I can tell that...

she's not in a good mood, not at all.

I know she's upset.

But.

The way things seem now with her,

I feel so distant. I wanted to explain.

But she never gives me the opportunity.

Bad things happened.

Even if she wasn't responsible, she'll still feel upset about it.

-After all, the other girl miscarried. -Yes.

Tell me.

The girl who miscarried at Shallow Cosmos,

-should we see her, give her some money? -Please don't.

We all know it's impossible that Nuan did this to her.

If you send money to her,

it would imply that you are responsible and that you regret it.

Anyway, I've spoken with Zhan Nanxian.

On the other hand,

I asked someone to investigate this.

I believe we'll soon have information.

Don't worry. I'll try not to be worried as well.

Look at you. You are very silly too.

You've done so many kind things behind Nuan's back, yet she knows nothing.

After this,

find a way to explain it to her.

-The email thing? -Yes.

I'm even more innocent on that matter.

I didn't even know that the email was sent from her account.

The email I got was anonymous.

It took me quite some time to figure out that it was tampered with.

How would I know that they deleted the sender's ID?

That means Nuan knows that you've received the email.

But you didn't tell her.

She thought that you dragged her into this situation,

all in the company's interest, right?

You know Nuan's temperament. She called, furious.

I was in a bad mood as well.

I told it to her straight. I said, "Yes, right,

I stole Shallow Cosmo's plan

in order to get the Yi Zhong contract."

Those were angry words.

On the other hand,

you know my feelings for Nuan.

How could I drag her into all this trouble?

Of course I know how you feel about her.

All these years you would visit her in England no matter how busy you were.

That's why you need to come clean with her as soon as possible.

Or maybe you just want to keep it this way

leaving a connection between you two, yes?

-No. -Then hurry up.

Okay, I'll take your advice.

I'll talk to her soon.

Good.

All right, I'll leave you to your work.

I'm off.

If your apology

could bring our child back,

I would accept it.

If you want my forgiveness, you'll have to leave Shallow Cosmos.

I'm sorry, I will not do that.

Sometimes, with the storm in front you,

if you don't fear it,

you can embrace it.

There will definitely be...

sunny days.

Thank you. If it wasn't for you...

people would still be misjudging and blaming me.

That's it?

Your gratitude... seems insincere to me.

Then how about I give you a present? Whatever you want.
