Very well. We are doing wonderful.

Before we dive into getting to know
about the industry, I want to know how

years have you been in the entertainment
industry and when did you all start,

when did you all become a part of the
erotic industry also?

Sure, you want to start or? Ladies
first.

So I basically started my career with
acting like into serials.

I have done an ad with Mr. Bachchan. I
have done big ads like HDFC Life

Insurance, SBI, Big Babool Twist. I have
done really big ads. And I have done

four shows of Balaji.

Into a continuity character for nine
months, six months and stuff like that.

I've done a lot of work.

What happened is after the
demonetization, there was a little

had no idea about app because we were
only working for the tv demonetization

We'll make sure that you're very

So I said, end of the day, for me, it
was like, I'm an actress.

I should be open to do any kind of roles
and any kind of characters.

Though a lot of people scared me that
time that, you know, you are a proper

serial actress.

You've also done films and stuff like
that. Though the roles were not very

major. But yes, I had acted with some
good stars like Kalki Kochlin, Sunny

Leone. I had done films with them.

And also Govindaji.

So people start scaring me saying that
why are you going to erotica? You will

completely ruin your career.

You know, this is a completely different
and who knows about these apps and

stuff like that.

But for me, I was like, I'm an actress.

I'm getting a job to be done and I will
do it. Simple as that.

But I never knew that this will become
so big.

Like the moment my first series was out,
I'm getting followers on Instagram and

they're just increasing and I'm getting
calls from here and there and like

people are just searching who's Rasi
Verma. So I didn't realize that I will

fame overnight after doing this.

Because I've been doing serials, ads, so
many things, you know, and I've acted

with such big stars also.

You know, till then also I never got so
much fame that I got the moment I

entered into erotica.

So, like, I would say my career started
eight to ten years back, but erotica

came into, like, four, four and a half
years back.

And it started. And I was the first
actress to do the very first series of

And after that, that Indian erotica
culture started.

Right. Because Alt Balaji was already
there, but they were not doing full

it all begin for you?

So, I'm from Orissa. I was born there.
And I was studying there. I'm a graduate

in English literature.

actor. I wanted to come to Mumbai.

So I applied for a job interview, which
was for an airline.

I have come to Mumbai to be a model. But

I did not know anybody even in Mumbai.

I was staying in a PG.

So I went online. There are these groups

you read auditions and you can just go.

There used to be open forums.

So there was one happening at Aramnagar
which I went for and it was for a chips

commercial with MS Dhoni and I got
selected after waiting for six hours.

So I resigned from my airline job
because you need to give at least two

notice. So I just went and I just
resigned. You know, typical filmy way,

I'm resigning. Why?

I'm going to be a model, I remember.

I had to pay 2000 penalty because that's
the format.

2000 rupees or 2000 dollars?

This is India for me.

I'm not flying international.

So in India, it was just 2000.

And I was like, whatever. I was getting
30k for the ad or something like that.

So I went.

Dibakar Banerjee was directing it.

into modeling started.

And my struggle also started.

Though I got two ads back to back. One
was for this huge music channel that's

shutting MTV.

I did back to back around 40 commercials
those days.

And all top brands.

Soft drinks, colas, pizzas.

I was the main poster boy.

I don't know if you have recalled, I
mean, I used to be on the newspaper

leaflets for furniture ads.

One was directed by Aziz Mirza. It was
actually made by Red Chili.

So yeah, it was directed by him. And
then big ones.

One was with Asim for a soft drink.

So things like that, my career started.

I started doing TV. I got some main
roles in Episodic.

But then the journey was...

Endless. I mean the struggle was
endless.

Because you know like I am a non -filmy
guy. So for us you have to audition and

then you get an ad or a film or a
serial.

It was very difficult to cut in. There
used to be like hundreds of people in

room waiting for that shot.

But I started making my mark but it was
never consistent.

It was always like... Two months of no
work and suddenly I'm doing work. The

money would come after 45 days. You
know, as in television.

I know, I know. 45 days. 90 days. I
worked for Balaji.

I've done... So all that. So that
waiting period. You know, life in Mumbai

very expensive.

Of course. My parents were working in
Odisha at that time. I was staying in a

PG. So all of that. And then I was also
a bit...

i was moving out from acting i got into
a coffee shop i started working at a

cafe i used to get 10 000 salaries no i
used to manage because i was a good

looking guy so they said you have to
just attract people from a cabin crew to

manager then the lockdown happened and
that business shut everything shut no

work world was ending

And one day, those days what used to
happen was I used to be very bored at

I used to do push -ups. And then I used
to post shirtless pics.

That was like a mandatory thing.

100 push -ups, 100 squats, and then a
picture in an underwear.

So I started getting followers.

Because everybody was on TikTok back
then. But I was not on TikTok. I was

about to get banned.

So I started getting these offers.

So first four or five I said no.

Then one, they sent me a script.

Like a proper script.

And every actor, whoever is watching

happened is, since I was the only

and there are a lot of people who would

making like 50 to 80 grand a day.

that, you know. And I'm just sitting at

home and I'm coming live for 10 minutes
or half an hour and like zoop, 80 ,000

rupees. And if I did a private video
call with some person who was my fan and

stuff like that, I would make 30 ,000
rupees just for that 15 minutes video

call. 30 ,000? Yeah, I've even taken 50
,000. There were people from London,

Canada who said, ma 'am, we are your
fans.

And then suddenly, because I became
popular, there's some guy from South, he

came and he said, I want to be your
manager.

I said, I'm not paying you anything.
Forget about it. He's like, I'm not even

asking for the payment. He said, I'll
work for you.

I'll get you work. And then if you feel
that you want to share some percentage

with me. So that's what he did. Three
months, he got me back to back work,

to back work. Like he's getting me
events, this, that. And like on an

because of him, I was making 8 to 10
lakh rupees a month.

Wow. Because of his support.

He was so good with marketing and I
don't know what he used to do.

But then I started paying him because he
was getting me so much of work.

And of course, my app was simultaneously
working. And sometimes it was so

exhausting for me.

Like touchwood, that time I had so much
work, but now, okay, things are

different now. But that time, because of
my popularity, sometimes I'm coming and

I'm traveling to Hyderabad. Then I'm
coming and I'm traveling to Bhopal,

I'm coming home and next day I have a

So I went through a very bad phase.

But, you know, that's what the doctor
told me that someone's blessings are

never seen. Like you are a, you know, a

miracle in my medical history.

Because my lungs were 70 % infected.

I had 70 % my lungs infected. And if you
have 70 % lungs infected, there are

very few chances that you will survive.

But I did. I did. So that's what the
doctor said that you are a history in my

medical career.

And then he started giving my examples
to everybody.

Somehow, I don't know what, I always had
this very strong willpower.

And I think that helps that I want to
put this message across to everybody

no matter how tough.

situation is if you have a very strong
willpower i'm sure you can make it

through because i did make it through
because i had so much of craving for

living my life and i said no no i'm not
going so soon i have more things you

can't do i have more things to do
there's a lot more that i want to

career in adult TV industry started in

the COVID era when it was that weak.

And every day I used to go and what we

could understand his feelings. Because

mythological shows. She's into a
different career altogether.

She has worked on God.

Day. He was at a flag hoisting event.

was selected.

And then they sent me a huge message,
WhatsApp, abhi bhi hai, ki sorry we have

to let you go because we've seen your
work.

And my birthday was also fixed.

Vahan tak mein chala gaya tha. I was
about to sign that show.

But we can't cast you.

The second show was with Aftaab,
Shivdasani.

It was some clone show of science.

It was on Z5.

So I was selected. It was a good role.

And that was sci -fi. So that got my
prosthetics also done.

My prosthetics also were done. I was
about to sign the contract.

So then I realized I have to come back

I don't have any other choice. Of

when they're performing. They are just

busy doing their job.

Everybody's so professional. They're not
interested also.

No, they are interested. But they give
us that space. They don't look at you or

make you feel uncomfortable. Because
they have families to feed.

Once they say pack up, they're going to
run to their families. Everybody.

So are we. We are also going to run to
our families.

every day job. They just take our money
and go.

They see women topless.

Even they get paid on the spot.

Everybody.

In web series, yes, most of them are
paid on the spot. And it's usually like

the transaction goes. That is why I
joined industry. No, that depends on

whatever online.

We get online. But there's no check
system I guess.

Either online transfer or cash. What if
you pass it back and you're given those

seats?

There's no check.

No, I mean, never it has happened that
much in our industry.
