has the competition aspect,

I just don't really
wanna show that weakness.

This has taken
true dedication.

This is bringing out
the fighter in me.

Everybody had formed their
alliances and their bonds,

star in the galaxy.

of the distress signals.

we don't know right now,

this is a rescue mission.

Who are we rescuing?

Shatner: This mission
will test your knowledge

and will earn you
a mission patch.

Good luck,
or as the captain of my voyage

to space said to me,

The distress signals are
too weak to get a lock on.

Phase one of your mission will
be to boost satellite range

in order to lock on
to the exact coordinates

of each distress signal
for rescue.

All right, we need
to evenly divide the crews into two search crews,

travel to coordinates
with your rovers.

Arriving at the location, there
are two pods of satellites,

that once arranged
in the correct order will boost the two weak signals

locating where
the rescue mission would take place.

I'm not the base commander
or anything,

but I feel like
we should split up the crews in terms of type.

Me, Marshawn, and Tinashe
and then you guys. - It is funk season.

So me, you, and Paul then.

Cat: I mean, I just jumped in
with both feet.

I mean, obviously

So I have to remember
the team that I'm on right now

is going to decide my future.

We don't know
what we have to do,

but we are in full gear

There was just a lot
of anticipation for today.

There's still
so much a part of me that really wants to win.

-The winning team today will be rewarded

with mission critical status.

The losing team are at risk
of being extracted.

Paul: When they said
teams of three,

I knew I wanted to be with Cat

because me and Cat
really formed a bond.

You know, anything that
could be thrown at us, we ready for it.

Porsha: Damn right,
I'm mission critical.

I'm definitely here to prove
that I am more useful

than any of them on Mars, okay?

I'm definitely not ready
to go yet.

Look at all these satellites.

The distress signals
we have detected are too weak to indicate their location.

In phase one of this mission,

you must rearrange
the satellites

to boost these signals.

It look like somebody already
beat me to doing doughnuts here.

Porsha: Ooh! Hey!

Adam:
Okay, are you guys ready?

"Arriving at the location,
the two crews will find two pods

of eight satellites each."

"The satellites
represent the eight planets

in our solar system."

"To strengthen
the weak distress signals,

two crews need to align
the planet's satellites

in ascending order
in proximity to the sun."

Adam: "Along the course,

there are silver stars
on the ground

that are to be used as markers
to place each satellite on."

"At the start of the course
is a red and green light.

Once a crew assigns
the satellites

in the correct ascending
planetary order,

the light will turn green."

Adam: "The light
will only turn green

when the planets
are aligned correctly."

- Do you know the order?
- No.

I learned the order of the
planets when I was really young

from watching "Blue's Clues."

Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars,

Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus...

Tinashe and I had
a conversation about this song.

And so as soon
as this mission started, I could only think that,

I know that she knows it."

And I was like, "It's a race."

I so wanted to beat
the other team,

especially Adam.

We're all very competitive here,

and nobody wants
to be second best.

The first team
to get the green light will be declared the winner

and will automatically
be deemed mission critical.

They will be safe
from elimination. - Okay.

of being extracted.

They were super heavy,

and we're literally scraping

the bottom of our energy tanks.

It was so frustrating
to have my team behind,

and it's quite possible
that I could be

one of the three at the bottom,

and I'm not okay with that.

- Jupiter.

Adam: The other team
is just in front of us.

That means I gotta move.
This is Saturn.

Tinashe:
Honestly, Adam's my buddy,

but this is a competition

and we're gonna win
this challenge.

- And Uranus--

- Adam: And then Neptune.
- So switch those, yeah.

Wow, I was very nervous

because anyone
who's not mission critical

will be up for elimination,

and so I can't lose.
