with Thomas.

I'm still just thinking about...

your dad and my mom getting a divorce.

>> Steffy: I know.

I hurt a lot of people, and I made a lot of mistakes.

You offered her custody of your son

if she would go to bed with you, and now you're trying

to get her to work with you again.

And you know what?

She turned me down.

But I hope she reconsiders 'cause it would be really good

for the company.

Uh, I figured you'd be out celebrating.

>> Thomas: So you're telling me you don't know.

That's what I thought.

My dad and Brooke finally filing for divorce.

Uh, you'd be thrilled, right?

>> Shauna: I would never be excited about the end

of a marriage.

>> Thomas: Okay, you don't have to hide it from me.

>> Thomas: Well, my dad's a free man.

I think you'd be great together.

>> Liam: Hi. I was looking for the CEO.

>> Steffy: Will you settle for co-CEO?

>> Liam: Hmm.

Co-CEO-slash-head of a new line?

>> Steffy: I am one of those.

>> Steffy: So are you here to beg for your job back?

Because you don't work here anymore.

>> Liam: Wait. What?

I don't?

You abandoned us.

where Thomas is concerned...

But I think he's up to no good, and I need your help.

>> Hope: I really wish you weren't going through this,

signing divorce papers, having to say goodbye.

>> Brooke: It breaks my heart.

>> Hope: None of this should be happening.

And honestly, Mom, I can't help but feel

partially responsible.

>> Brooke: Why?

>> Hope: Ridge was against me sharing custody of Douglas,

and obviously he wasn't happy what you were supportive of it.

>> Brooke: Honey, this is the best thing

for Douglas, and Ridge will see that

eventually.

>> Hope: Mom, Ridge should know by now

who you are, that your heart is always

in the right place.

>> Brooke: Ridge needed something from me.

He needed me to forgive Thomas, and I just couldn't do that.

I don't want this divorce.

And I just pray that Ridge is not filing

those papers.

If he sees Thomas for who he really is, honey,

then we have another chance.

We can be together.

And you can be away from that maniac.

the way my dad lights up around you.

for all intents and purposes, is a free man.

Brooke no longer has her claws in him,

Your feelings about him are pretty clear,

and he feels the same way, and Brooke, well,

she likes to blame this whole divorce thing on me.

That's their problem, but the reality is

is that he hasn't been happy in a long time.

And he deserves some chance at happiness,

and so do you.

whole "I'm a changed man" persona, right?

I mean, he's supposed to be contrite and remorseful

after everything he's done.

Obviously, he's not.

>> Steffy: My father is convinced he is.

>> Liam: But you're not.

And why would you be?

I mean, he--he-- he just tried

to exchange custody of his son for sex with Hope,

And then he goes and tries to convince her he's dead?

Like, what's next?

>> Steffy: Liam, I know-- I know how you feel

about my brother, but why are you coming to me

like this?

>> Liam: I need to expose Thomas. I need to prove

to Ridge and everybody else that he's still dangerous.

And I can't do that without you.

>> Hope: I want to believe that people are capable

of change.

>> Brooke: Uh, somebody like Thomas

>> Hope: Just now I'm starting to question

his motives for everything.

>> Brooke: You'd be foolish not to.

Thomas presented his designs that he's been working on

for Hope For the Future, and he went all out

and had models and included Douglas as well.

>> Brooke: Ohh!

Of course he did.

>> Hope: So there's that.

Although his designs, they were good.

I have to tweak a couple things, but...

>> Brooke: Honey, you're not considering...

>> Hope: Thomas...

he did ask to work together.

He wants us to be partners.

>> Brooke: I hope you said no.

>> Hope: I did.

I turned him down.

>> Brooke: Ohh. Thank God.

I mean, it's hard enough for you to co-parent with him.

Could you imagine working with him every single day?

I'm glad you said no.

I can only imagine how he took another rejection

from you.

I never claimed to be.

I mean, I'm not expecting all of us to be best friends,

especially not these days.

>> Thomas: Brooke could learn a thing or two from you

about forgiveness, letting things go.

>> Shauna: You really don't like her, do you?

>> Thomas: Not for my father, no.

No, he needs someone more like you--

beautiful, lighthearted, someone who doesn't hold on

to grudges.

If my father decides to start a relationship with you,

I would be very happy.

I'd welcome you into the family.

But let's not get ahead of ourselves.

>> Thomas: Yeah. Sorry.

I just, uh, it's nice to talk to someone

who isn't out to get me, like Brooke or Liam.

You don't really know me, Shauna.

I'm not obsessed.

I'm not that person anymore.

Everyone just needs to realize that

and find some forgiveness so I can move forward

and build a life with my son.

>> Shauna: And Hope.

She told my dad and me that she turned him down.

>> Liam: Yeah, you don't think it's a little weird

he asked to partner up at all?

to get closer to Hope.

Everything Thomas does he does for no one but himself.

If it doesn't directly benefit him,

he can't be bothered.

and he's good at it, Liam.

>> Liam: Fine.

Let him design all he wants.

He just lost the right to do that with Hope,

and I told him as much.

I told him, unlike his dad, I'm not buying his act.

And between you and me, I don't think you are, either.

>> Steffy: What do you want me to do? Do you want me

to take down my brother?

>> Liam: No. No.

I'm not asking you to betray him.

I'm just asking you to help me find out the truth.

>> Brooke: Thomas has already

driven a wedge between Ridge and me,

and I am not gonna let him destroy your life

any more than he already has.

>> Hope: I'm okay. Really.

I am worried about you, and I want to help you

through this.

>> Brooke: I just pray that Ridge comes to his senses.

Whether he wants to see it or not,

his son needs serious help.

Thomas is obsessed.

>> Shauna: You still want Hope, don't you?

>> Thomas: I'll always care about her,

and now she's the mother of my son.

>> Shauna: Mm, I get the feeling

that there's more to that, that you believe

that you actually have another chance with her.

>> Thomas: Okay, look, if the opportunity

presented itself, I wouldn't say no.

>> Shauna: It probably won't.

She's with Liam.

And even though you guys share custody of Douglas,

she has a daughter with him.

They're a family.

>> Thomas: Yeah.

I get that.

That is how things are right now,

but that doesn't mean that I can't have a vision

of a future with her.

Hope and I, we've-- we've known each other

a long time, and yeah,

things have been bumpy lately, but I'm working on myself.

I'm becoming a better person.

And while I respect her relationship,

I still believe she and I will end up together.

>> Liam: [ sighs ] Thomas can deny, deny, deny

all he wants, but I know

that he's chasing after Hope again.

>> Steffy: Liam, Thomas is trying

to be a better person.

I just don't know how long that's gonna last.

>> Liam: That's exactly my point.

>> Steffy: You think Hope's gonna get sucked back in?

>> Liam: I think everybody's gonna get

sucked back in if they haven't already.

Just help me figure out if this is real.

If it's real, great, fantastic.

I will be happy to admit that I'm wrong.

But if it's not, at least we know

what we're dealing with.

We know that Thomas is just as dangerous

as he ever was.

>> Steffy: I--I don't know.

I--I don't know, Liam.

Yeah, I haven't fully forgiven my brother,

but he is my brother.

We're family.

>> Liam: Pretending there's not a problem

is not gonna help anybody, especially not Douglas.

I--I--I'm not stupid.

I know I'm putting you in a tough spot,

but I have to figure out what Thomas is up to,

and...

and I have to do it quietly.

>> Steffy: So you want me to go behind Thomas' back.

>> Liam: It's nothing he hasn't done to you.

It's the only way, Steffy.
